I absolutely love this place. You have to go to eat the dinner at the restaurant. It was amazing. The appetizer portion was huge. We didn’t expect to have so many pork ribs for an appetizer. The chicken, the salad, and the pulled pork. All of them were delicious. How can a restaurant accomplish this??? It was INCREDIBLE!!! The brunch was amazing too!!! We loved everything we had there! The staffs were super friendly and helpful! Love this place! AMAZING!!!!

This was our first stay at the Kimpton Marlowe and we loved it! The service was fantastic! Sammi, a front desk person, heard that it was my wife's birthday and, unbeknownst to us, arranged for a Happy Birthday banner, birthday balloon, a birthday tierra and button, and some goodies delivered to our room. It was a wonderful treat to return to after a 1.5 hour kayaking trip on the Charles River (the hotel offers complementary kayaks!). The morning coffee (really good) and social hour (free drinks from 5-6) are also wonderful perks. The breakfast was wonderful and relaxed even though it always seemed like all the tables were taken. I can't say enough good things about this hotel! We'd definitely return except that it might not always fit into our budget. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our room was spacious, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located close to public transit, restaurants, shopping, and the canal, which is a peaceful place to take a walk. The only downside to our stay was the bathroom design. The bathroom doors didn’t lock, and there was a noticeable gap between the two doors, which didn’t provide much privacy when using the bathroom. Aside from that, we had a very enjoyable stay and appreciated the hotel’s convenient location and comfortable accommodations.
The people are what give this place the stars, not the stat itself. Every staff member we encountered were intentional and helpful with a genuine smile. The front desk were warm, but no special treatment here. Don’t expect an upgrade if you have status; they said there were no upgrades available even though I looked on the app and could have booked the upgraded room- so yes available, but not willing to upgrade for some reason. Sigh. Not fair to ding them for this, but it’s definitely annoying when “not available” is used an excuse and it is not true. Breakfast was great and while the format was different (order at the bar, then a server brings it to you), it was delicious and with many options and good accommodation for guests with allergies. Location is wonderful for the Boston Museum of Science and accessible for walkers to MGH and Beacon Hill as well as Boston Common/Public Gardens. Huge thing I missed on booking: this is a dog hotel. Dogs everywhere. Barking at night, during the day, etc. It is LOUD at times. Allergy sufferers beware! I last minute saw the option of “pet free room” in the app, but seeing as all the other preferences in that section were ignored, I don’t think it’s a guarantee.
Beautiful hotel located in central Cambridge. Super walkable to nearby businesses. The rooms were incredibly clean, the hotel was gorgeous and the beds were comfortable. Shout out to Gretchen at the front desk! She was super friendly to all of our company and made it super easy to check in! She made some great recommendations and will go very far in the hospitality career.
