The rooms all smell like wet carpet and feet. Why is everything in the rooms rusting? The late 90s Home Depot vibe in all the bathrooms is fantastic. The staff is very nice. I wouldn't stay here again. I'm editing this review to reiterate that I truly believe the only thing holding this hotel together is the people working there. They were all really nice and super kind but the building itself should be razed to the ground.

Not a bad hotel stay by any means, but there’s still room for improvement here and there. While there’s a gorgeous view of the river, the windows that the guests can view it from require intense cleaning (from the outside specifically). Pretty sure the grime on them is 10 years old minimum. Yuck. The staff was friendly however, and the food and beds were nice.
The nature around the hotel is perfect for walking. There are some river side and hiking courses nearby. All staffs were kind and especially Mrs. Maryse at the lounge was so nice and friendly with a bright smile every time we saw her. It was more precious time thanks to her!
I want to give a huge shoutout to Ansley at the front desk of the Boston Marriott Newton. We arrived to a busy lobby and had a bit of a complicated check-in since our names weren't on the reservation. Ansley handled it with total professionalism. What stood out most was how knowledgeable and personable she was — she knew exactly what to do to resolve our issue quickly while also juggling multiple other customers at the same time. She never missed a beat, made everyone feel taken care of, and did it all with a genuine smile on her face. She is friendly, efficient, and clearly great at what she does. Ansley is a true asset to this hotel and the Marriott brand. Thank you for the excellent customer service!
This hotel in general was very nice. The thing we didn't like is nickle and diming. They charge for parking your car there. I think its $20 a day. Thankfully we didn't have a car to pay for. They charge $10 a day for wifi unless you are a Marriott member. Also the only breakfast option is a breakfast buffet at $24 a person. They claim to have 4 restaurants they have 1 actual restaurant. It cost $5 for one container of cereal which is 1 serving from their little market. The Starbucks only offers muffins and cookies. So basically you are going to be forced to pay a lot of money for breakfast. There is no restaurants in walking distance. We would definitely not be staying here again due to these reasons.
