2 Days Classic Maasai Mara Safari

Lewis was great in organising and planning what we wanted for my wife’s 30th surprise birthday trip, the quote was competitive and included everything and also an extra little excursion which was an amazing experience. Our safari guide David was great company, talked so much about the animals and his desire and determination to get us to see all the animals, we couldn’t fault, he gave us so much time seeing them and taking in the moment, it was breathtaking and one of the best trips we will ever do and never forget, if we come back we will definitely want him again. The accommodation mara simba lodge was exactly what we wanted - relaxing, staff were lovely and welcoming and the food was great. The whole trip was very well organised, from being picked up from Nairobi airport and transferred to the Wilson airport, the airstrips and around Nairobi was all well planned and can’t fault the organisation of it all, we felt so relaxed and 100% would recommend Unscripted Safaris to anyone. Thankyou once again for an unforgettable trip and big shout out to David! You made it special!

Visiting from Canada. We had an unforgettable experience with Unscripted Safari Tours. From start to finish, every detail was seamless and thoughtfully arranged. Our guide, David, was exceptional—his deep knowledge of the game reserve, wildlife behavior, and local ecosystems brought every drive to life. He seemed to spot animals from impossible distances and shared fascinating insights about each one. His passion, patience, and warm personality made us feel comfortable and completely immersed in the adventure. Thanks to David and the team, our safari was not just a trip, but a truly memorable, once-in-a-lifetime journey. We wholeheartedly cannot recommend them highly enough.

6.00am hotel pick up and four hour drive to the Masai Mara with a stop on the way for breakfast. Arrived at the park and spent five hours seeing wonderful animals including lion, leopard, elephants, hyenas, hippos and crocodiles. Late afternoon checked in at Jambo Safari lodge and enjoyed dinner. The lodge’s are clean and well equipped and very comfortable including en-suite shower room. After breakfast we departed the Masai Mara and stopped at a Masai tribal village where we were shown tribal singing g and dancing, fire lighting and their mud houses - inside as well, which was fascinating. Trip back to Nairobi took 2 hours longer than it should have as the minibus kept breaking down, but The driver Bernard persevered and we arrived back safely. A fantastic trip overall

My sister visited and we did a safari to Tsavo parks for 3 days from the coast of Mombasa and we had an amazing experience with Mohammed who was a well experienced expert in game drives and animal spotting. I look forward to the next one early next year!! Thank you

We did a 4 days Kenyan safari to maasai mara and Lake Naivasha with my wife and kids. Everything was smooth from communication to execution of the safari. Our hotel was well located by the river and our guide Jeremy was so friendly and knowledgeable about the parks and animals. We shall book again with them once ready for more experiences

My friends and I did a camping safari with Unscripted Safaris in Tsavo, and it was such an adventure. We spent our nights under the stars, listening to the sounds of wildlife, and our days spotting lions, elephants, and giraffes. The guides were super knowledgeable and made the whole experience feel safe and exciting.

We did a cycling safari through Hell’s Gate National Park with Unscripted Safaris, and it was the coolest experience ever! Riding bikes while seeing zebras and giraffes walking alongside us was surreal. It was an active, adventurous day, and we ended up hiking through the gorge too. If you want something active, I highly recommend it.

Our group went on a weekend getaway to Lake Nakuru with Unscripted Safaris, and it was the perfect escape. The flamingos were amazing, and the park is packed with wildlife. We stayed in a comfortable lodge and spent our days exploring the park with Daniel who knew everything about the local animals. It was such a peaceful yet adventurous trip.

Unscripted Safaris took our group on a three-day adventure through Samburu, and it was the perfect mix of wildlife, cultural experiences, and fun! We stayed in these awesome tented camp called Ashnil and even visited a local village where we learned about their traditions. On top of that, we saw elephants, leopard, and even an endangered Grevy’s zebra! I definitely recommend this little known park. Make sure you go swimming in the wild at Bufallo Springs pool.

As a solo traveler, I was worried about feeling isolated, but Unscripted Safaris made sure I had the adventure of a lifetime. I went on a cultural tour mixed with game drives, and it was amazing. I got to spend a day with the Maasai community and learn about their lifestyle. The safari drives were action-packed, and the guides made me feel completely safe throughout.

We went on a family safari to Maasai mara with Unscripted Safaris, and my younger siblings were totally fascinated by the animals! The guides were amazing at keeping things educational but super fun for the kids. We saw elephants, giraffes, and so many zebras. I think the highlight was the picnic lunch by the river, where we spotted hippos!

Our group trip with Unscripted Safaris was beyond incredible. We did a private camping safari in the Maasai Mara, and it was so much fun! From the campfires to the night-time sounds of wildlife, we felt like we were part of nature. The guides were awesome,full of stories, and the game drives were thrilling. We even spotted a pride of lions lounging near our camp one evening!

Unscripted Safaris is a top notch safari company with excellent customer service! We saw so much. Our tour guide, Andrew, was incredible. He taught us about wildlife, as well as the culture and history of Kenya.The logistics for our safari were seamless, thanks to the help of our tour consultant Newton. It was nice to just show up and have food, lodging, and tour routes taken care of. This was a wonderful experience.We definitely recommend them.

Overall, the safari seems to follow a standard itinerary that many other companies also offer. We did see a lot of animals including the Big 5 and in that sense the safari was great. I only give 2 stars because of some annoyances: 1) My wife is short and wasn't able to see out of the pop up roof of the Landcruiser (for which you pay extra). She wanted to stand on top of a seat when we were looking at a cheetah that was barely visible (covered by grass) but was told by our driver that that is not allowed because it can damage them and that it's his boss Lewis' rule, with whom we had made the booking. I then wrote to Lewis and he told me it's not allowed because it's illegal and fined heavily by the park authorities. We saw many other safari companies allowing their customers to stand on their seat. So I then looked up the park rules online and it didn't say anything about it being illegal. Lewis doubled down and told me to ask a park official at the gate. I did just that (he probably didn't expect me to) and they told me, amused that I'd even ask, that it's perfectly legal and makes sense for short people. Nevertheless, we decided to let it rest, until my wife got neck pain two days later from always craning it while tip toing to be able to see. At that point I again wrote to Lewis pleading that he allows it for the last two days and he finally did. However, he never admitted that he lied about it being illegal. TLDR: if you're short find a different safari company 2) Our flight on the last day was quite late at 11pm. The original itinerary had us be at the airport around 5pm after visiting the giraffe center at 3pm. Before booking, I had asked Lewis about adding extra things in Nairobi and he told me that we can also visit the Nairobi museum and eat at a famous restaurant and then be dropped off at the airport at 7pm which sounded good to us. Then, on the last day our driver told us that he has to keep going immediately after arriving with us in Nairobi but that a different driver from the company can take us. However, after talking with his Boss there apparently was no different driver available. Our driver rushed us through the giraffe center (urging us to leave) and then dropped us of at the airport at 4:15 pm. We were okay with skipping the museum and the restaurant because we were tired and saw how stressed the driver was, but we didn't appreciate being rushed through the giraffe center which was supposed to be a nice stop on the last day and then bring dropped off at the airport super early. A couple words on our driver/guide Daniel: he definitely knows the parks inside and out and is a good driver and very good at finding many animals. He also knows a lot about the animals when asked. However, I wish he would be more outgoing in sharing information about animals without us asking. And I wish he would be a bit friendlier and above all not rush us so much on the last day.

.We have just finished a 2-day safari with our tour guide John. We feel so lucky to have seen so many beautiful animals and stunning scenery. Including althebig 5 and many more birds and rare animals.It’s unbelievable how many activities we were able to fit into 2daysCustom made safari itinerary. I had my honeymoon while we were away and John surprised us by organising a cake, song-and-dance some Champagne for me! They really went out of his way to make our trip special.

The safari that my Boyfriend and I went on for 2days was anunforgettable Wildlife adventure. The hotels were excellent, and we would like to appreciate our guide, Tony, who made the safari Unforgettable. His knowledge of wildlife is extraordinary; he was so educative, patient, intuitive, amazing, and an excellent driver. From start to finish, the organisation was world-class and exceeded our expectations by far. We definitely recommend Unscripted Safaris.

Very good organization and coordination, great and well situated hotels booked, comfortable and clean Landcruiser, experienced, very supporting and friendly tour guide. Safari of a lifetime. Our driver and tour Guide Kelvin was absolutely fantastic. He drove very Safe, organized the tour so good.The lodges were so amazing from the food to the service. All activities were well organized and great, Kevin took us to all places where we had very special experiences with the animals. Lions were beside the car, a Leopard which apparently is so hard to spot was just a few Meters away from the car, a Walk to rhinos and Giraffe, elephants and best of all the gorillas. This was definitely the best Luxury safari experience for us in Uganda.Kudos Unscripted Safaris.

Unscripted Safaris was so flawless from planning to execution. Two of us started planning a 2 day safari with Judy 1 month before our August departure date. She dealt with every detail promptly and professionally. Everything was on time and as advertised. Not a single issue in the 7 days! Our guide Tony was very experienced and knowledgeable. This is the best tour operator in Kenya.

We had a very negative experience with Unscripted Safaris. The itinerary in the package we booked included a morning game drive from 6:30-10am on the third day. After our second day, we were informed by our driver that it was in fact against the park rules to do a game drive in the morning and that we were required to drive directly to the gate without any game viewing. In the end, we exited the park at 8:30am without any game drive. Thus, we missed out on an entire half-day game drive that had been clearly indicated and paid for in our package. Lewis informed us that this was because “the park entrance times had changed” and there was nothing he could do about this unless we paid an extra $400 in park fees. However, after checking with friends and other guides we realized that the park entrance times had been changed in September 2023, more than 3 months BEFORE we booked the safari and almost an full year before we actually went on the safari in September 2024. It was clear the company - Lewis - had lied about the entrance times to gain our business, knowing full well that a game drive on the third day would not be allowed within the quoted price, even while our itinerary clearly stated otherwise. Very disappointed with the service. Our parents paid thousands of dollars for a once-in-a-lifetime experience that was cut short because of this dishonest business. My husband and I live in Nairobi and we frequently host visitors, and despite having a wonderful driver/guide Daniel, we will not be using this company again when hosting our friends and family.

We had a great time in Kenya with unscripted safaris who handled all our transport and hotel logistics end to end without any hustle so we definitely recommend them

Exceptional safari experience, I recommend everyone to visit multipe parks to enjoy different landscapes and see different animals... if you have the chance, ask for our guide [ Tony ] who will also be your driver,he was realy very knowledgeable and very educative plus fun, with him you will always be in the right place at the right time.He also went out of his way to ensure we got as cosy as possible to the animals. We booked a three day Masaai Mara tour through Lewis. He was very prompt and professional with his responses. After payment, we received a detailed itinerary for the safari. Our driver, Tony, was a great driver and had a fun personality. The jeep itself was spacious and capable off road as it was raining. We saw alof the Big 5, and overall, we are very pleased with the services provided by Unscripted Safaris Kenya. The accommodations were beautiful, the food and service was excellent.

We had a wonderful safari experience to Tsavo East andTsavo West. Our guide Daniel knew a lot about all the animals, and went above and beyond to give us a wonderful experience. We got to see all big five, birds and many more!

We booked a honeymoon safari trip with Unscripted Safaris and we were blown away. Our driver, Tony, was so great -he was knowledgeable and did everything he could to get us amazing views of all animals. He is a professional at driving through the parks and knows the ins and outs so well! We could not believe how much we saw and how close we got to all different types of animals -it was a dream come true! Booking process with Lewis was great, we booked from UK months before and he helped with all questions we had. We stayed at the comfort level for both trips (Masai Mara and Amboseli/Tsavo East) and the places were great food for all the meals and clean organized rooms!

We were able to arrange our own -2 one night safaris. Both were private - Amboseli, Kibo and then Maasai Mara, Mara Maisha. I worked with John and he was excellent and understanding! We were also lucky enough to have the driver we had requested. We had first class service, we saw many animals and lots with babies! We enjoyed the trip of a lifetime. We wouldn’t change a thing even if we were to come back again!

My mom and I did a 4 nights safari to Amboseli (1), Lake Naivasha (1), and Masai Mara (2). Out of all the Safari companies we contacted, Unscripted Safar is the Only One that let us pick out our own hotels/lodges. I have a feeling some tour companies have deals with lodges that they get an incentive to bring tourists to that specific lodge. Judy, the safari organizer, was amazing. She suggested a trip itinerary and worked with us to spend an extra night here, stay inside the park instead of outside the park, etc. Again -they were the only company of SIX companies we asked to do this and they obliged. We definitely recommend.

We really had no idea of what we wanted for a safari but once we got in touch with lewis on whatsapp, he gave us so many options till we got confused but we eventually got what we wanted; a 5 days safari to amboseli, naivasha and maasai mara. Our days were limited but i think unscripted safaris ensured we used our time to the optimum. Our vehicle was so new unlike others we saw and to top it all up, our guide Rueben was so understanding and knowledgeable. Thanks you.

From the welcome at the airport i knew this was going to be an amazing safari, jeremy welcomed us and explained our itinerary. We had a terrific time, thanks to Jeremy and Unscripted Safaris. Our trip took us to Masai Mara in Kenya and the Serengeti in Tanzania. Saw lions, cheetahs, elephants and lots of zebras. Our two guides were uncanny in their ability to spot animals. We also stayed in a great lodge on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, the Serena Ngorongoro Safari Lodge, which I highly recommend. Judy was always responsive to our questions and concerns.

The first full day of game drive was magical. Charles imparted wisdom to us, first timers in the safari: patience is gold; leopard sighting is rare; elephants like peace and quiet; cheetahs don’t like going up the trees (unlike leopards); ask for some ugali at the camp. We saw the big 5 on this full day drive including the black rhino, albeit from afar. We were extremely fortunate to have seen a leopard and, especially, a black rhino on this trip.

This was one of the best vacations ever. We rate this tour guide and company very highly. Our guide James picked us up at the airport and drove us for a few days through Kenya at lake Naivasha and Masai Mara, he was very nice and knowledgeable. The car was perfectly suited for Safaris and clean as well. We managed to see more animals than ever taught possible and even saw a successful lion hunt. Would go again any time!
