Private Day Trip To Ronda From Marbella With Driver-guide

My suitcase had not arrived at the time I was to begin my hiking tour in Sicily through Explore. LARA MANSFELD was our guide and I anticipated my hiking vacation turning into a beach vacation. But Lara was able to outfit me with boots (that fit), poles, pants and jacket. Not only was she a terrific guide who knew her stuff about Mt Etna, Riserva National Park etc but her hidden talent of "clothier" came in handy. KUDOS to a wonderful woman and guide

This trip was our favorite in our 10 days in Spain. From the initial communication to pick up the communication was top notch. Our driver Thomas, was much more than just a transport driver. He was a second guide. He shared his love of the country and answered all Spain questions. He took us to the bottom of the gorge to look up at the bridge. He also was a master of maneuvering around town. Our local guide, Antonio, was equally awesome. His sophistication, knowledge and passion of Ronda transcended the day. He navigated the busy streets to make us feel like we were in a small town. He relayed on the facts of the city and showed us this amazing town. It was a great day. We are part of a bigger bus tour and thought this day we needed a respite and more personal touch, this was an amazing experience. It was a splurge I’d do again

Oliver is an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable about the whole region and offered the best pro tips to maximize the return of our trip. From the restaurant recommendations to the best vantage points for picture taking, this tour and Oliver in particular significantly exceeded our expectations.

Our guide Oliver was amazing. He knew the area’s history, attractions and culture like the back of his hand, there wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer. We toured both by car and on foot seeing Ronda from every angle. Our drink break and lunch were perfectly timed when we seniors were tiring in the July sun. Would highly recommend the day tour. (10-5) for anyone interested in Andalusia.

This was a wonderful experience, and a chance to see one of the most unique and awe-inspiring cities in Spain. Peter was an excellent guide and driver, and provided ample information about the surrounding areas and of Ronda. Antonio was our private guide in Ronda and was well-informed of the many historical nuances of the city, of bull fighting, and of the different architectural styles that were influenced by the diverse set of groups that had occupied the city. We visited Setenil afterwards via special arrangement, and this smaller town was worth seeing. Thanks to Peter and Antonio for an excellent day trip from Marbella!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Oliver. He was timely, full of wonderful information and helpful. He made many suggestions as to things we wanted to see and experience. We made stops along the way which allowed us to see and enjoy so much of the local traditions and scenery. We would highly recommend a tour with Oliver !

Thomas met us at our apartment in Marbella and drove us to Ronda. He told us history on the drive. Once in Ronda we met up with local guide Antonio who walked us through new and old town, the bull ring and bridges. His knowledge of Ronda was just amazing and we learned so much. We were given recommendations for places to have lunch and then exploration time. Thomas then showed us some more of the town from below the cliffs and then we drove back to Marbella. Ronda is a spectacular city and this was one of our favorite tours while in Spain

Great tour. Very good communicating pick up at our hotel. The drive was long but he did a great job of keeping it interesting. Really enjoyed the stop for coffee and breakfast that he picked. The tour was just long enough to see the main sites. Helped us find a place for lunch that was excellent and gave just enough time to explore the shopping area on our own before heading back to our hotel. On the way back, we were talking that we needed to stop at a grocery that evening and he took us to one of the local grocery stores on the way back so we did not have to go the the high priced shops by our hotel.

It’s a great way to see the city and learn the history. Our guide Oliver was knowledgeable and fun to be around.

Oliver was an excellent driver, very knowledgeable and personable, gave us an amazing day in Ronda. He recommended a delicious restaurant for lunch, made reservations for us, and explained all of the highlights in Ronda throughout the old and new town while exploring the cliffs bridges. And so much more. Highly recommend!

The trip to Ronda was a real highlight of our visit to Spain. We enjoyed all the sights of the city from different angles and had an exceptional lunch.

We took a day trip from Marbella to Ronda during our vacation, and it was truly unforgettable. Our guide, Oliver, was fun, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories about Ronda’s history and culture. He took us to hidden spots with amazing views and perfect photo opportunities, and even surprised us with a quick stop for a glass of wine. Oliver arranged lunch at a fantastic restaurant with the most breathtaking views, and we had some time to explore the charming shops as well. Our 11- and 14-year-old kids absolutely loved it—this day was the highlight of their trip! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

First of all, Oliver from Costa Excursions was an amazing guide. He made the day so much fun. Ronda is a must see and great for a day trip. Old world meets new world and the bridges are fantastic! Good food, some nice shopping and wonderful views.

The tour to Ronda was spectacular. Our guide Oliver was very considerate and knowledgeable. He had to park his car a couple blocks away and walked to our small hotel in the old town of Marbella to meet us at the designated meeting place. Another tour operator we used for a different tour made us meet the driver at another location, because the driver found the narrow streets too hard to navigate. The change in the meeting place caused confusion and wasted time. When I told him that I needed to get cash, Oliver informed me which ATM I should use because some banks charge less for service fees (2 euros vs 7 euros). The weather was nice initially but it grew too hot for us to continue walking. He offered to give us a driving tour instead. He was very amenable to make our stop requests. For example, even though we have just passed the stop I wanted to make, he would turn around. He also made stops for us even though they were only a few meters apart. Our trip was made extra enjoyable due to his friendly demeanor and his facility to carry on full conversations because of his fluency in English. It turned out that we share the same interests in music and travel 🙂

I did not know what to expect on this tour but I was very happy I did. We were a group of 4 people and did a private tour. Oliver was our tour guide and we couldn't have been more taken care of. Ronda is a beautiful town and worth seeing. Had lunch overlooking the gorge where Oliver took our picture from the bridge. He also took us for sangria overlooking the bull ring. Had a great day exploring Ronda a learning about the Spanish culture.

Absolutely amazing place. Our guide was thoughtful, polite and knowledgeable and showed us the best spots for photos as well as made recommendations for food & shopping. We were able to learn about the history & architecture of the area and got great pictures from some lesser known spots/angles. The pick-up from our hotel in Marbella was also much appreciated. 10/10 would recommend, a little pricey but worth it to be able to see and learn things we otherwise would have missed.

We got a great behind the scenes tour of the bull ring, as well the various points of interest in the city. One of our party had a bad knee and our tour guide went out of his way to accommodate this and provide an interesting and comfortable experience for everyone the group!

We took a private day trip with Oliver to Ronda from Marbella. It was an excellent trip and worthwhile. Oliver picked us up from our apartment and drove us to Ronda. Oliver grew up in the region and could speak knowledgeably about the region and history of Ronda. Ronda itself was full of history and Oliver gave a good sense of it. He showed us the key sights and historical landmarks and recommended a good place for lunch overlooking the gorge. Oliver gave us the right mix of tour guide commentary and letting us explore ourselves and ask questions. The whole family loved Ronda and we would recommend the tour.

We had a wonderful trip to Ronda. Oliver, our guide was excellent. He was pretty fluent in English, knew all the places in Ronda, their history and the vantage points to take great photos. As a guide, he explained the history of various sites in Ronda very lucidly, provided historic facts and recommended excellent places with scenic views for lunch. As a driver, he was great, picked us on time from Marbella, dropped us at various vista points for great shots. Ronda was so beautiful. Highly recommend this tour and especially Oliver as a guide.

What a great day with Luka! We loved Ronda and saw the bridge and views from many great photo spots. Luka made a reservation for us at a lovely restaurant on the hillside that also had a great view. He even made time to take us to Carmona for a Quick peak of the beautiful views on our way back to Marbella.

Great information and fabulous experience. Our guide was fun and had a special drone to capture the heights and grandeur of the Ronda cliffs from below.

The trip up the mountain was very pleasant. The local tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the town. The kids enjoyed learning about bullfighting and seeing the actual fighting ring. We also had a Spanish lunch before we did some shopping.

The tour of the bullring and the old town was very informative and enjoyable. Our guides were excellent and very accommodating. The weather was great, sunny but cool.

Fantastic trip to a charming little city! The bridge and gorge are stunning and a must see if in the area. The bullring and horse training center were really cool. You actually get to walk out in the bullring! Loved seeing the town and having lunch overlooking the gorge. I tried the ox-tail and it was amazing. Our guide was the best! Great trip!
