Guided Canyoning Adventure Near Marbella (Benahavís River Walk)

We had an amazing time canyoning in Marbella! It was such a fun and adventurous experience, and our guide Juan was incredibly kind, funny, and friendly. He created a great atmosphere and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something fun and active to do during your holiday!

This is a fantastic activity. Our guides Luna and Martin were great - very friendly and also safety focused. The scenery is awesome. I would say the trip is moderately difficult as the rocks can be slippy and there is a lot of swimming, but if you’re fairly fit you’ll love it. I’m 51 and my son is 17 and we both enjoyed it. We’ve done a lot of trips in the area and this has been the best!

Our guide was very nice, and took photo and video footage of the tour. Other members in the group for this tour were very intense. We moved so quickly, we finished in less than 2 hours, including extra jumps since we were so far ahead of schedule. I wish our guide would have slowed the pace a bit, to allow time to enjoy the beautiful caves. It might be better to designate tours as more relaxed versus more intense, to allow all members of the group to enjoy the tour.

We had such a blast on this experience. Beautiful scenery, a large variety in terms of climbing, swimming, sliding and jumping. Our guide Martin was very friendly and patient, guiding us through the route, which was roughly 3 hours start to finish. Would 100% recommend going as a couple or small group to keep things moving along. Well worth the fee, something for everybody and the opportunity to step out of your comfort zone if you want to!

The experience was great and so was Martin, our tour guide. Very fun and challenging, would def on canyoning again.

The crew starts the tour with instructions and techniques, safety, etc. Then when one arrived to the water the fun begins and the views just get better by the minute.

Wow! What a fantastic experience. Our guide brought so much fun. My three boys absolutely loved this mini adventure. We’re so glad we didn’t attempt on our own 🫣 life jacket a must for my 10 year old who although a strong swimmer, was tired towards the end where there is a lot of swimming required. Can’t recommend this enough 👍🏻thank you for some wonderful memories!

Great experience for our family - kids 9 and 12. Certain elements were more challenging than others but it is more than manageable - if anyone finds swimming difficult then take a life jacket which is offered when you gear up. We did see some participants in other groups struggle getting over rocks and swimming so if you have mobility issues maybe take an individual tour rather than a group tour so you can go at your pace. Martin was our guide and he did a fantastic job. Would recommend highly - it’s a good 2.5 to 3 hour experience and great fun.

Jennifer was a good canyoning guide. Her energy was amazing and she made the whole experience really fun. She’s such a nice and friendly person, and she made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the tour. Would definitely recommend!

Enjoyable day for the price but very very busy with other groups from the operator and general public, which meant a very hectic environment (appreciate the operator can’t control the latter however as the river is a public space!) so would probably recommend trying the afternoon slots as we were morning. Sadly we noticed a lot of litter in and around the river. Hosts very friendly, helpful and professional who tried their best and ensured safety despite having to deal with members on the tour who couldn’t even swim or needed escorting back out of the river mid-tour. Thank you for the day out, just far too busy for us.

We had a wonderful experience. Our guide, Tomas, was fun, and the children really appreciated him during the tour. The setting is incredibly beautiful, and we enjoyed every minute.

Very challenging for some in our large party ranging from 7 to 73 but overall a great time. Our guide was able to "read the room" and provide something for everyone. It's a must do in Benehavis.

It was the best experience we had in Marbella, our leader was Tom and he was so much fun, caring, responsible. He made our adventure more fun. This trip is a must do if you like nature, and adventure in Marbella.

We had a fantastic experience this morning, guided by the fabulous Luna. She was fun, engaging and made us feel safe even when jumping off a 20 foot cliff. She was also very patient with our 8 year olds. Thank you for a great morning.

Absolutely brilliant! The only note I have is that you have to be able to thread water for some time because there are so many people swimming very close together in the group so you cannot kick your legs properly in order to move forward. Other than that it was a brilliant experience.

Great day out with a really good guide. Fantastic way to cool off on a hot summers day.

You need to have a good level of fitness as it involves some difficult climbs and quite a bit of swimming. The scenery is stunning and it’s a good break away from the beach. Our instructor, Jennifer, was amazing. Always making sure we were safe and very clear with her explanations. Such a great activity, would highly recommend.

Tour guides are knowledgeable and fun! Ask for Kort! The activity is a unique way to experience Benahavis and the local area while enjoying time together as a family! The river and surrounding area is beautiful and unspoiled! Highly encourage you to consider it!

My kids favorite tour of the whole trip to Spain. They really enjoyed the cliff jumping and swimming / walking in the water through the rocks in the canyon. I would have enjoyed more slides and bigger rappels.

This was a great adventure! Martin was a great guide, the scenery was beautiful, and the canyoning was a unique adventure. It's not particularly strenuous as long as you are reasonably fit and can swim. The jumps were a little scary, but Martin was very encouraging, and you can always skip them if you want
