Discover Ronda And Setenil De Las Bodegas In A Day From Málaga

We started with free time in Setenil which was interesting with the stores and houses built into the rock. Then on to Ronda where we had an hour guided tour. We did most of it but it was difficult to hear/understand so we went to a super lunch spot where we sat right over the gorge. The paella was awesome and the service too. Loved the trip and a good value.

Good tour . Wish the language for the tour was only one . In our case, it was Spanish and English . Felt time was wasted when explaining in two languages .

It was a pleasurable and informative trip. Ronda is beautiful and setenil is very unique. Tania is kind, friendly and very professional. Her job was hard as she was patiently narrating both in Spanish and then in English. Miguel is a great and friendly driver.

Great visit to Setinil Bodegas as Ronda. The pick up location was quite easy to find. The journey from Malaga was 1 1/2 hours to Setinil. Our tour guide narrated the whole time giving us information on Malaga and where we were going. We had 1 1/2 hours in Setinil and 4 hours in Ronda. It was another 30mins in the bus to get to Ronda. We could have had another hour in Ronda as there was lots to see and discover there. The views were stunning and definitely worth making the time to go and see. It is worth saying that this trip does have quite a bit of walking and is not suitable for people that struggle.

This is a perfect experience for a day trip. Its always hard to get the right amount of time at place when you visit for a day trip. This trip though was a great taster for one to see Ronda and know if you would like to spend more time there. So we would recommend it. Our driver was great and our host was fantastic Eugenia 💖

A very well-organised day trip from Malaga. The bus left on time and it only took about one and a half hours to reach the first stop, Setenil de la Bodegas. Our guide, Melina, was very knowledgeable and, as we purchased the optional guided tour, she also showed us around Ronda, our second stop. Setenil and Ronda are fairly unique places located in the heart of Andalusia, so it was a very interesting day trip, and not a particularly tiring one as we were back in Malaga at 5.30pm.

We were given a general meeting location but were expected to find the guide and the bus on our own (there were several to choose from). The tour was in English and Spanish but the guide spoke English with a heavy accent so you really have to pay attention. When we disembarked in Sentenil she spoke to all the visitors without a device and it was very difficult to hear her. The instructions we were given were important so it’s imperative we can all hear. My seat was broken so it reclined into the space of the poor gentleman behind me. The stops were magnificent, length of time good but there is room for the company to improve.

Very good trip. Pick up location was easy to find. Our guide, Vanesa, was organised and gave clear instruction on events of the day, leaving times, how to get about, best view points for photos and tips for dining. Ronda was busy with the town celebrating the end of the grape season so there was a lively vibe. Lovely day trip

On how the views were beautiful the drive was easy because of Javier our experience driver and the beauty and enchantment of Sentinel within the mountain and Ronda’s great and abundant history. But the best part was my Knowledgeable tour guide Melanie.

Very well.organised and Mica our guide was very knowledgeable. Its worth paying the little bit extra for the tour of ronda as it finishes in a private garden overlooking the bridge and most spectacular views away from the crowds

The towns that were visited are very picturesque. Setenil de Bodegas is very small and manageable. Ronda is amazing! El Tajo de Ronda is spectacular and definitely worth the bus ride over. There is plenty of time for lunch and shopping.

Our bus driver, Diego, and tour guide, Eugenia, were great. Ronda & Senetil are not to be missed. And the drive from Malaga to both towns is beautiful!

Excellent excursion. I’d people just follow the directions for bus pick up and stop they wil be fine— it’s not as disorganzied as they say. Sure several buses pick up at the same time and it’s crowded but the guides call your name and know what they’re doing. The excursion itself is amazing and the town is easy to navigate. Highly recommend

The guide was fabulous, very knowledgeable and friendly, I wouldn't hesitate to go on trips with her, the only downside was the coach.. it was old, tired and mot very comfortable for a long journey

I really enjoyed my day trip to Setenil de Bodegas and Ronda. The meeting place was easy to find and our guide Gloria was very friendly and informative. We visited Setenil first, and were taken into the village by a shuttle train. There was enough time to wander around and then have something to eat. Once back on the coach, it was approx. 25 minutes drive to Ronda. I then joined Gloria for the optional guided tour which was very good. Although I didn't have time to take photos on the tour, there was ample opportunity to explore the town and take plenty of photos afterwards. I also had lunch in the main square. The weather was perfect, so I saw Ronda at it's best. I can definitely recommend this tour.

Amazing trip, and our guide Melina was absolutely fantastic (as well as our driver Jose). Easy pickup spot close to our apartment, knowledgeable guide, clean and comfortable bus, with a perfect amount of time given to wander in each locale, while still feeling looked after. Great value for the money and highly recommended!

Mica was a great guide! She knows everything about Ronda and Sentenil, which are fun and interesting spots with friendly locals, many of whom open their homes for little tours. Definitely a nice break from the big city hustle and bustle of Malaga, though not uncrowded.

Our guide, Melina, was so knowledgeable about the history of the area, and she shared her information with enthusiasm and pride. We thoroughly enjoyed lstening to her presentations as we rode on the bus and during the tour she gave in Ronda as well. It was well worth the extra euros. Setenil de las Bodegas is a charming and unique little town. However, we really only needed 30 minutes there instead of the hour we were given. One other thing that would have improved our experience would have been to take a short break in Ronda after the long bus ride to use the washroom. Overall, this was an excellent tour and I highly recommend it.

Very nice and easy way to see two other areas of you are based in Malaga. The first stop is in Setinel and while shorter, plenty of time to explore, get some photos and coffee/snack (1.5 hour stop). You (can- we all did) take a little trolly into town or walk from the drop off spot. Quicker to trolley. 2 euro for the round trip so have some cash. Next stop was Ronda. 4 hours here to explore. There is much more to do here so plan ahead to ensure you know what you want to accomplish to not waste time deciding as you’ll want to eat as well. Melina, our guide, was informative and pleasant and Fernando our bus driver, got us safely there and back (a true feat when you see the busy bus station at Ronda!). Highly recommend you book this trip!

Make sure you have a list of things that you want to see and have lunch at a restaurant over the bridge looking back at the gorge.

I joined the guided tour of Ronda with Melina, the guide. She was great, sharing her knowledge non-stop in Spanish and English. It is still busy with tourists in October and we were lucky with the changeable weather. The only minor negative was that the pick-up could be more obvious as 3 coaches arrived at the same time and it was a rush to find the right one.

Ronda and Setenil are both lovely towns worth exploring . The bridge at Ronda is an incredible work of architecture . Give yourself lots of time to arrive at the pickup location in Malaga , lots of confusion on which bus to be on .

Melina is an excellent guide. Very professional and thorough and knowledgeable about the various cities in Spain

unfortunately, we were dropped off a mile away by our taxi driver by the info desk in the middle of Mallaga. Once I realized that I called and was in communication with Viator who was in communication with the tour and instead of picking us up at a known location or waiting they left. I know everything is on a schedule, but I also know we have had the same exact thing happened with us where the tour picked up others that were late. When I asked if we could take a credit as we were in Spain for another week that request was denied. Overall, I would NOT make plans with this tour company.

Everything was great. It was easy to find the meeting place. The bus was comfortable. The driver was good and the guide was really friendly. I liked that i had the opportunity to see experience the two cities by myself. You get a map of both cities with the recommended sights.

It is a convenient tour. There are two categories: one with a guide (i couldn't get in that pne) and the second ( no guide only transportation). Anyway it was a convinient way to visit both places. The train takes longer and you need to switch trains. Here, it is easy to walk to the meeting point and they take you both places for a good price.

What a great trip. Beautiful towns and vistas. We had not originally booked a guided tour, but decided to pay the extra to join the tour guide when it was offered on the bus. I highly recommend doing the guided tour. Ronda is a large area and there is a lot to see. Having a guide made all the difference.

We did the guided tour in Ronda which was an extra option with our Luis, and he was amazing. Very friendly and easy to understand and spoke many languages. Definitely recommend

It was a lovely trip, and wonderful not to have to do the driving. I felt a bit rushed in Setenil, but had plenty of time in Ronda. I had a delicious lunch at Maravillosa in Ronda, as recommended by the tour guide.

Bus was full and had to sit in last seats, got car sick. Tour narrater talked too fast, didn’t wait for group and did not make trip fun like other tour guides we’ve had in past

We had a wonderful experience visiting Ronda and would definitely say that the tour was worth the money. The organization was very good — everything was well planned, and we were comfortably taken to different beautiful spots throughout the day, which made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Ronda itself is absolutely stunning. The views, the dramatic cliffs, the famous Puente Nuevo and the charming old town make it a truly special place to visit. Having transportation and a planned itinerary made it much easier to see and enjoy the highlights without having to worry about getting around ourselves. Our tour guide was fantastic — very friendly, cheerful, helpful and always ready to answer questions or assist whenever needed. She really added a lot to the experience and made the whole day even more enjoyable. Overall, I would give the experience 5 out of 6. A beautiful destination, great organization, and a lovely guide. Definitely recommended if you want to visit Ronda without the stress of planning everything yourself!

Booking the day trip to Setinel and Ronda was the highlight of our holiday in Malaga. It was all worth it. Everything was smooth sailing. We have seen all the nice views within the time frame. The bus was clean ang modern. Tania was an excellent guide so fluent in Spanish and English. We dropped off in Torreliminos and was able to enjoy the beach after the tour. Excellent and value for money!
