Pillows were horrendous rock hard.. 2 of the worst night's sleep I have ever had to endure.. Staff were lovely and apologetic over the fact that I was being charged 5 Euro for a Carton of Water left in the Mini Bar to be fair when I was checking out the lovely man at reception was apologetic over it. THIS IS IN NO WAY a 5 Star Hotel Im surprised 😳 at how bad and dilapidated it had gotten in just a few months.. Everything is closed around it and nothing being done but but to watch its demise.. Im so unhappy about my stay..

The hotel has some positives — nice pool and sea views from the room. However, the room had a noticeable musty/damp smell whenever we entered. Unfortunately, my husband suffered a deep cut to his big toe while inside the hotel pool. Staff provided first aid quickly, which we appreciated, but the bleeding continued for hours and we ended up going to a private hospital for treatment. We later showed the hotel the area where it happened, and maintenance staff inspected it. We could also see some damaged/broken tiles around parts of the pool, which raised concerns about maintenance. The injury was not life-threatening, but it affected our stay in Marbella and the rest of our trip in Europe. What disappointed us most was the limited follow-up from management afterwards. The hotel has good qualities, but the maintenance issue and handling of the incident significantly affected our experience.
We had a very unpleasant experience with a member of staff at the Gran Hotel Guadalpin Banús. My boyfriend and I were looking for parking before going to Mistral Beach Club. We accidentally entered the hotel’s parking area, only realizing once we were inside that it belonged to the hotel. We politely asked a staff member if it was possible to park there, and he told us, in a rather dismissive manner, that the parking was reserved for hotel guests. We then asked if Mistral Beach Club had its own parking, and he said it did not. We thanked him and immediately prepared to leave. Because the parking area was quite narrow, my boyfriend had to reverse into an empty parking space in order to turn the car around. As we were about to leave, another vehicle stopped at the entrance, temporarily blocking our exit. Our engine was running, and it was obvious that we were waiting for the way to clear so we could leave. At that moment, the same staff member came to our car window holding his phone and threatened to call the police, despite it being perfectly clear that we were trying to leave and were only prevented from doing so because another car was blocking the exit. We remained polite throughout the entire interaction, yet we were treated with unnecessary hostility and a complete lack of courtesy. Whether or not he believed we were entitled to park there, there was absolutely no reason to behave in such an intimidating and disrespectful manner. This experience left us feeling very unwelcome and gave us a poor impression of the hotel’s customer service. We hope the management reminds its staff that professionalism and respect should be shown to everyone, not only to hotel guests.
Excellent hotel in great location overlooking the sea and right next to the beach. I had a great experience - food and service all good. I would thoroughly recommend. I stayed out of season and got a great rate on a junior suite. I would thoroughly recommend Gran Hotel Guadalpin Banus in Marbella.
Great hotel with an excellent location, an easy walk along the sea to Puerto Banús. The rooms are clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a sea view room for beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Although the hotel was built about 20 years ago, it still has a relaxed, vacation vibe.
