Had a great time! Francisco is a very informative and knowledgeable English speaking guide. Excellent value for the money! I will highly recommend to friends and family!

Itinerary
After pick up at the hotels, passengers will proceed to the Port of Manaus to board the speedboat. Navigating up the Negro River towards the floating platform, we will cross the Jornalista Phelippe Daou Bridge, better known as Rio Negro Bridge.
Upon arriving at the floating platform for contemplating the porpoises, it will be possible to swim with these docile animals and watch them being fed by a native legalized by Ibama. The groups are divided up to 10 people, following the environmental rules, so that everyone can have fun and contemplate this wonder of nature.
The trip continues to the indigenous community where the Indians from the upper Negro River and different ethnic groups come together to share their dances and culture. As guests of honor, tourists are invited to participate in a presentation ritual accompanied by a lot of joy and dance. After that brief moment, time will be available for photographs and purchases of local crafts. Enjoy the peace and energy to interact with the natives and live this unique moment intensely.
After this incredible experience and cultural exchange, we will descend on the left bank of Negro River, seeing the floating port of Manaus, regional boats and passing the edge of the city towards the Ecological Park Janauary to see the Amazon’s famous Victoria regia (water lilies) water plant; have a regional lunch (menu based of fish, meat or chicken, salads and accompaniments, self-service buffet).
Then you will visit local native craft stores and the community of floating houses of Catalan for the contemplation of the Pirarucu (Arapaima Gigas), the sweet water giant, native of the Amazon.
After that, cruise down the Rio Negro to the Meeting of the Waters, the location where it meets the Amazon River. Be awed by this natural phenomenon, where the Rio Negro’s black waters and the Amazon’s muddy waters flow separately for a few miles. After contemplating it, tourists return to the Pier, where the air conditioned transportation will pick them up and take them back to their respective hotels.

Very good tour, well organized and gives the right amount of exposure for a one day tour while in Manaus.
Really memorable trip - swam with the gentle dolphins, saw a floating village, the meeting of the Rio Negro and Amazon River where the black water meets the muddy brown river, short walk through the rainforest on a boardwalk (pull on a long sleeve top, wear long pants and trainers - there are mosquitos and biting ants!) great buffet lunch where we could also buy local handicrafts and met the tribe who played music and danced. There is a tiny changing room at the swim site. The river is clean and warm and you get a life jacket to help you float; you don't go far out and there is an underwater platform near the jetty you can stand on too. Don't touch the dolphin's heads (breathing holes) but you can stroke their beaks and don't forget a towel!
The Amazon experience excursion was excellent. First we swam with the pink river dolphins and that was delightful. Then we went to meet the native indigenous people and watch them dance and play musical instruments. That was amazing. Then we had a delicious lunch. There was also the meeting of the waters, which was interesting all in all it was a very enjoyable day.
Swimming with the pink dolphins and seeing the meeting of the water. David was an excellent guide and spoke perfect English. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.
The tour is packed with other tourist. Plenty of other tours out there for a similar price with less crowds.
I loved the excursion, amazing river views, nice meal at the floating restaurants and warm indigenous community
The most complete tour you can do on a short notice! Lots of little experiences that will lead to a lifetime memories! [At the tribe zone you are gonna get bombarded by kids with different animals, they expect payment so pick carefully who and what you are taking your picture with!]
Great experience, friendly guide and good food served! Going up and down the river was extremely relaxing, the feeling of being able to see the pink dolphins in their natural habitat and having them all around you can’t really be described, it was a dream come true!
Swimming with the pink dolphins was a great experience. They are so majestic and beautiful and touching them gave me an emotional high...feeling one with nature.
The highlight was swimming with the dolphins! Fabulous! However, we were the only 2 English speakers out of 16 people. Francisco spoke Portuguese 98% of the time. We felt left behind. Tour promised English speaking guide, perhaps a mechanical translator.
We had a great time and will definitely recommend this tour. The boat captain was informative, funny, and very knowledgeable.
Fantastic experience, the tour guide was lovely and all the activities were amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish
Our experience was well organised from start to finish. I booked through Viator and the transport was GreyLine but Amazon Explorers actually provided the experience on the day with their own boat and an ‘English speaking guide’ Mr Alves. I arranged by email to be collected from our hotel and they duly obliged, sending a reminder and contacting our hotel the night before to confirm pick up time 07:45. No issues with any of the things we did, they were experiences that we will never probably do again. Our son who lives in Brazil and speaks Portuguese accompanied us. There were two issues which were very disappointing. 1/ The commentary was given in a few different languages by Mr Elves but he focused much of the commentary in Portuguese and only contributed small parts in English. There were at least 9 people who spoke English, so we were annoyed at missing out on learning about the historical facts and more. 2/ There was a problem with a faulty microphone which could not be fixed, so when our guide provided any commentary it was against the background of the boats engine. The visits to the Porpoises (we swam with them), Meeting of the Waters, The Indigenous People and lunch were most enjoyable. We had a short 20 minute walk along a wooden bridge to see Giant Lilli Pads. Most people wore shorts, long trousers are not needed, as it was so hot. This was a once in a lifetime trip to Brazil and highly recommended, but I was disappointed with the lack of English commentary. We did complain at the time, but there was not much improvement.
Incredible swimming with wild Pink River Dolphins. Beautiful beings. Tuyuca tribe visit was eye-opening. Friendly people. Rest of your was outstanding. Great service from boat crew.
Working with Gray Line was a terrible experience. I was on a cruise to the port and requested confirmation a number of times to ensure we had the right pick up spot. I had to proactive on my part to get responses from this tour group. When the day came they did not show up or did they make an effort to communicate. Once I complained that we were missed it was amazing how well they communicated. Also they shared that they tried numerous times to communicate but only the only communication that came through was after we complained. It ruined our day and the company seems a bit shady. When it came to a refund they only wanted to do a partial. Buyer beware…
We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel, which was far from the port. We had a great, English speaking guide, and really enjoyed each of the different things we did on our tour. Swim with Pink Dolphins? DONE That!! Hold a Sloth? Done That!! Fish for Really Really Big Fish? Done That. We both agree that this tour was a great value for the money Recommend it to everyone, old or young.
Great experience swimming with wild porpoise Seeing the famous meeting of the waters Visiting the indigenous people Pictures with sloths, parrots, snakes and cayman Dancing with tribesmen Poor lunch Then catching enormous fish Francisco was excellent guide
Nice short tour which hits the highlights. We loved our guide and were able to get a lot of lovely souvenirs. This tour does not venture into the jungle. There is a 20 minute “hike” which is really just a short walk on a bridge, so if you’re looking to go deep into the jungle, this might not be the tour you want. If you want just a taste, this is perfect.
I'm going to be very frank: know that it is a tourist and commercial trip. Do not expect an anthropological experience or an immersion in traditional Amazonian life. Having that clear, the tour is excellent and I liked it A LOT! The big difference is being in Rio Negro and having contact with the dolphins. They approach with the help of the handler, who feeds them, but we are talking about wild animals. In other words: you go inside the Rio Negro and stay in the water with free dolphins around you! It is possible to touch them lightly, but just seeing them up close, in that environment, is a wonderful experience. I also liked the pirarucu hatchery a lot. Attention: Here are pirarucus in captivity, because there is no way to see them in the wild. A special highlight was the photographer, Mr. Ageu. He accompanied me throughout the journey, suggested photos, looked for good angles, and also captured spontaneous moments. For me, the photographer's service was the best additional purchase of the trip. I highly recommend it. Lunch is hearty and varied, and there is facilities for river bathing and showers. Regarding the presentation in the village, it is important to know that it is a show aimed at tourism, performed by indigenous migrants of Colombian ethnicities who live in the region. The crafts sold there are quite similar to those found at the Manaus Municipal Market. Therefore, I wouldn't view this part as a cultural immersion experience, but as a commercial tourist attraction. Overall, I was very well treated, welcomed, and guided and I would take the tour again and recommend it to friends. I felt safe, cared for, and protected all the time. My tip is simple: go with the right expectation. It is a commercial tourist trip, yes — but carried out in an absolutely extraordinary setting. And swimming in the middle of the Rio Negro with dolphins in the wild was a very worthwhile experience.
It is an activity that takes you all day and part of the afternoon. It is one of the best and most economical. You can get a first impression of what the Amazon is.
Very good. We like it a lot. We just thought the guide could have been more present. More attention to the group
The excursion is good, it is worth it, everything they promise is done, even in the rain which due to the high temperatures is a pleasure.
The agency itself is only an intermediary. They transfer you to another carrier who takes care of the journey itself. Communication is poor because absolutely nothing is explained. The trip itself is pleasant, but unfortunately it is so crowded that it ends up becoming a tourist circus where they try to sell you absolutely everything.
It's a cool experience, but very disorganized!!! Should have a specific time, the groups are coming, it is a real fair!! Very zoned!! In the middle of the Indian presentation has guides from other groups shouting, a total disrespect to the Indians and who is watching. I recommend, but I warn you that it is very messy!!
I didn't like it and it's that kind of tourist pick. I came back disappointed and a little sad for the little pets. I didn't find it cool how to dive with the boots, because they don't guide people before and the boots only come, of course, because of the fish they offer. Eventually people tap the breath of the pet (passing their hand over their head), scared and barking the animal and screaming again. Nobody knows me that it doesn't end up stressing the animal. Still, about the dive with the bot, on the same platform, the bathroom has the exit from the open sewer directly in Rio. That is, on one side bathroom right in the same water that a few meters on the other side people enter to hit with the boots. Obviously I've been away from all this. Such as pirarucu fishing. A small tank full of big fish and people throwing bait fish just to watch the pirarucu jump. Meeting the waters is always cool! Lunch buffet is always that thing, not everyone is reasonable. I found the tribe experience terrible. I visited Tuyuka. A precarious and extremely dirty place, with plastic garbage and other stuff everywhere. Indians with animals of lazy species, monkeys and giboias offering for you to pay and take a photo. It's depressing to see what they do with the animals. They have Wi-Fi, iPhone and card machine to paint and for souvenirs. Reminders that are identical to those of Manaus, but they say they did. You say, after a dance, the guy leave a little money for the pajé in the pot. Really nothing I've experienced makes sense on this walk. The Indian doesn’t make sense, what they do with the animals, the lack of care with the nature in the environment (waste) and the attempt to get money as if it were a show or something real. Oh, the whole thing happens under a blue plastic canvas tent. Joke ready. If you want a nice, legitimate experience without any money blackmail, I recommend a visit to the riverside communities of the Juma River. These are descendants of Indians, who still live on land and river, and always have a nice conversation. The jungle hotels are in my opinion the best experience option.
Recomendo!
ABUSIVE PRICE!! The price at any agency ranges from 150 to 180 reais. When you arrive in the city, just ask for information about the encounter of the waters. There are several agencies doing this tour with departures every day of the week.
Amazing walk! The indigenous tribe exceeds our expectations. I was delighted with the receptivity of the Indians. The boots are beautiful. I recommend this experience
