This was a fantastic adventure and one of the highlights of our trip. A few tips for future travelers: bring a swimsuit, a change of clothes, a hat, a towel, water bottle and a rain jacket. You'll also want shoes that can get wet as well as comfortable walking shoes for the rainforest trails. Our guide, Sergio, was terrific. He translated when needed, and took great care of our group throughout the day. His knowledge and attention to everyone's comfort made the experience even better. The waterfall was beautiful, and swimming and bathing in it was so much fun. The lunch provided was delicious and a great way to recharge. We also enjoyed walking through the rainforest and seeing wildlife, including birds, bats, a spider and even a caiman. This tour offers a wonderful combination of adventure, nature, wildlife, and local culture. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience!

Amazing tour with Miguel. He was super nice and made trip very easy and enjoyable for us
If you are planning to visit the town of Presidente Figueiredo and the waterfalls, I highly recommend this company. We were picked up right from our hotel, and the organization was top-notch. The guide shared fascinating information about the town's history and the local nature. We saw so many interesting things. Thank you for interesting tour
Great one day trip from Manaus. You an see three different waterfalls in two national parks. You can swim in one as well, even in the dry season. Make sure you bring both good shoes for walking and some wet shoes. You will be treking through the jungle so need sturdy comfortable shoes but also will be going through the water so some wet shoes are necessary.
DO NOT book with this company. My family and I are experienced global travelers, and this is hands-down the worst tour we have ever taken. Here is why you should avoid them: Crammed & Uncomfortable Transportation: We were packed into a tiny van and stuck in the very back row for a 2-hour drive. The seats were incredibly cramped, making my motion sickness unbearable. Unacceptable Passenger Altercation: When we tried to move to other seats during a stop, another passenger threw a tantrum. She physically struck my husband in the head with a water bottle and began screaming at us in Portuguese (which we do not speak). All of this took place in front of our child. Zero Guide Support: Instead of de-escalating the situation or addressing the physical assault, our tour guide left us feeling as if we were out of line. We never raised our voices or retaliated, yet we were treated as the problem. False Advertising (Language): The booking clearly stated this was an English-speaking tour. In reality, about 85% of the tour was conducted in Portuguese. While the waterfalls and natural sites were stunning, you are better off booking with literally any other company. This business does not care about paying customers or basic passenger safety.
Very good tour, our only problem was that it was only available in portuguese and we didn’t understand a lot of things but the guides were great and it was very nice
Must do experience. All was good organized, easy communication, interesting itenerery. Our gide Fernando was extremely helpful, nice and friendly. We had a lot of fun. Highly recommend this tour. Ineta
Great experience, super beautiful nature, but mind it's a full day trip, not 6h like the tour description. Also the local guides for the hike usually don't speak any English if that's important for anyone. We would have liked to spend more time at the waterfalls and not just about 20 to 30 minutes each.
There was a mix up at our pick up location but Miguel our tour guide made sure we got on the tour and we had a wonderful time. There is a lot of hiking involved, so be sure to wear hiking shoes.
I checked out early from my hotel to go on this trip which was supposed to start at 8:00 am. No one came to collect me and I gave up messaging them at 10:00 am. Their office does not open till 9 am. At 1 pm, I get a response to my messages. They inquired how I liked the trip. I informed them they did not collect me. The manager insisted that everyone was collected. I asked him to take a picture of everyone in the van as proof. The manager then said that he had me down for the same trip, but on the next day. I told him I would be in Texas the next day. Then I was asked for details on how I paid for the trip so that I could get a refund. I told them I could not give my credit card numbers again as they had them already. I think that I was not picked up because I was offered a big discount for this trip. I would normally have just avoided offers from this company in the future - because of the inconvenience caused. The only reason I am writing this is because I now got a request to review the trip. The company must know somewhere that it screwed up. It either does not know or does not care. I don’t know if my refund will be processed.
Great tour beautiful waterfalls good food good explanations the car was very comfortable the place is beautiful totally recommend
Poor communication. Really crowded and run down small van packed with 12 people. Not comfortable for such a long ride. Smells bad inside and not a pleasant experience. For the price I have done much better tours with Viator. Disappointed and wish we had not come.
Overall it was a great experience but the previous reviews are still true in that the tour is not catered for English speakers. Our guide did translate a good portion of the information he was providing in Portuguese to English but on the second portion of the tour when we were walking into the rainforest he did not come with us and we were instead escorted by guides that spoke no English at all. Still it was amazing to see the waterfalls and the lunch provided was great. Also be prepared for a long amount of driving. Of the 10 hours the tour takes, around half are spend in the van. It was still worth the experience for sure.
I had a wonderful day and it was a dream come true spending time in the Amazone rainforest. Everything was organised perfectly, the pick up in the morning was on time. The guide, Miguel, and the whole team were great and knowledgeable, always making sure everyone is doing well. I would recommend this to everyone who wants to get a glimpse of the beautiful region! 10/10
This tour was great and packed so much more into it than I was expecting! You’ll see multiple waterfalls and caves, and even go sloshing through some thigh high waters in search of more natural beauty! The indigenous lunch was delicious and, I expect, a lot more authentic than what other tours are advertising. It was a great time and the guide clearly loves wildlife, which I think is very important.
A fascinating trip through some of the most beautiful Amazonian scenery. The waterfall and the caves are breathtaking.
Very nice trail in the jungle, although it would be better with a smaller group (took very long with pictures for 20+ people). Be ready for the lack of facilities at the waterfall! There's only one very basic restroom.
Nice tour with beautiful scenery. Took about 13 hours from pickup until dropoff. Guide spoke english, portugese and spanish
Very professional agency. Kind and ready to answer to all your questions and needs. Fine tours and well organized. The places where they take you are amazing.
We signed up for a 6 hour trip and were not returned to our hotel until 11 hours later. The walk back up from the 1st waterfall was strenuous. The guides were helpful when I struggled but it was definitely to hard for me. Walking to and from Presidente falls was for all levels, an easy walk. You are going to walk through water and jungle, both tênis shoes and flip flops (water shoes) are advised.
The waterfalls are really outstanding, totally recommend seeing them. The tour is around 11 hours including the car trip from Manaus. Lunch is included and it's very good. The guide speaks 80% English, not a lot of information is provided during the trip. There is a 30 min hike included, you should have adherent shoes for it.
I arrived in Manaus and contacted Amazing Amazon tours on very short notice. They were the only agency that was able to accommodate a solo English speaking traveler. They made the whole process very easy for booking. The driver was very kind and using the translating app until we got to the waterfalls and we had an excellent English speaking guide. The tour was beautiful, and I felt like the one day tour was sufficient for me as opposed to some of the more extended options I would use this agency without hesitation
Swimming in the waterfalls was amazing. The 2 hours of strenuous hiking from the bus to the first 2 caves was very difficult and not disclosed in the description of the excursion, however. Also very long 2 hours bus ride each way to and from the Presidente Figuereida National Park. Our guide, Miguel, was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. All in all, a great experience though.
This was an amazing experience! The guides did everything to accommodate different languages and preferences. We saw waterfalls, got to explore the Amazon rain forest and had an amazing and tasty lunch. It was definitely educational and we'll worth our time and $$$.
Horrible, I don’t recommend it at all. They were harassing me while I was trying to get my refund since they put me in a wrong bus to go to the waterfalls. They suggested me to leave the bus in the middle of the road. I was PREGNANT and the sir named Leonardo was simply DISGUSTING. STAW WAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
It was an amazing day with our guide Miguel and co who created an great experience, the local guide at the falls was an absolute gem as he was so knowledgeable and experienced with patience, enduring our safety and so interested in each of us. We are a good group of the right size and what I really enjoyed and appreciated was that there were many Brazilians in my group. To me that is import ant as I always feel that if the locals are there then there is a sense of pride 😀 The tour operators have impeccable organisation and communication as well as ensuring that our experience is memorable, safe, and organised. I really appreciate the continuous information before my trip. As this is my first solo trip into Brazil, as a experienced lady traveller; I have been blown away by the operations, care and kindness 💕 I will definitely come back.
it was really great experience! we are just group of 3 (Brazilian, Portuguese and me). Also, there is no other people at the waterfalls may be beacause we visited on a weekday.
I’ve never given a bad review before, but I don’t want other non-Portuguese speakers to go on this tour and have a less than awesome time because they didn’t get what they paid for. If you like hiking, it’s worth going on for the experience of seeing the waterfalls (which are indeed beautiful!). Two issues: - There is very little English translation (and at times, none), which is not what is advertised. - With that in mind, it’s overpriced for English speakers. Firstly: I don’t expect anyone in Brazil to speak English, unless it’s their job. In this case, the tour is *advertised* as such. The tour guide started off translating into English and then just stopped like an hour in. He was giving long, detailed histories for minutes at a time in Portuguese and then… nothing. That was moderately annoying at first, but it became a serious problem once we were on the trail. The English speakers were put in our own group for translation. Then the guide who spoke English inexplicably decided to go with a Portuguese-speaking group instead, leaving us with a local trail guide who spoke zero English. It was a safety issue because we needed instructions about which way to go, what we should avoid, etc. If you just want to see some waterfalls, it’s overpriced, because it’s a round trip bus ticket, a lunch (albeit, a delicious one), and pretty minimal attention from a tour guide. I say it’s a bus ticket instead of a tour because there were 20 people in my group, and English speakers are basically ignored. To put that into perspective, a round-trip bus ticket to Presidente Figueirado is 70 Reis, which is about $15. A similar lunch in Manaus would be around $4.
As with almost all other tour operators, tours and guides - almost no English. Tour guide with dreadlocks not very interested in the group. Best part of the tour was the walking part to the cave with an amazing english speaking guide called Mario. The waterfall itself is definitely not what you expect. A pool is built around it so there's not a whole lot of nature. Lunch was very good in terms of quality and quantity. The tour is definitely not worth the money, but it gives you something to do if in Manaus for a few days.
We had a fabulous trip. We had read some reviews suggesting pick ups being an issue and not having enough time at the various waterfalls but for us, we had no issues, at least none due to Amazing Tours. Some of the other guests were inconsiderate and late but that was not this companies fault. We loved the trip, had enough time at each stop and despite the rest of our group being Portuguese speakers, Miguel (our guide) gave us individual commentary and explanations in English which was great. We would recommend this tour.
The pickup was good. The walk in nature itself was nice but I bought a ticket for English speaking tour. I expect then a guide who can explain at least a little bit, but unfortunately no guiding in English. The waterfall is super disappointing, its just a kind of waterpark. Not a beautiful fall in nature. So i do not recommend this tour, for ne it was a waist of money
The trip was fun, but some small issues, the van seats are uncomfortable, the guides English wasn't the best, and the guides doing the tour at the end didn't speak any English. However it was still a fun day, the caves at the last spot were very beautiful, I would recommend.
This tour used a small bus and had 9 people - one of the smaller groups out there. We went to three clusters of waterfalls. The last one - Iracema - was the most impressive, together with a grotto complex. There was a very short stretch of a jungle walk too. Lunch was included and was delicious. The rains had just descended in the morning so the waterfalls were full. The entire tour took about 10 hours, with the first 3 picking up people. Guide (Miguel) was informative and spoke some English. He also helped us take pictures. Overall it was a good day
Very relaxing trip. Swimming in beautiful waterfalls and eating delicious local food. Highly recommended!
Unfortunately, i cannot recommend this to anyone who doesn't speak Portuguese. Although guide does have some English, they don't really bother to explain anything except bare logistics of the trip. As a result, for whole day you just listen to whole group recieving information and not understanding anything. Very annoying, especially since tour advertized as English speaking. And speaking of tour description, don't believe what they said about duration. Guide showed up 30 minutes before we we were told to expect them (insisted we go now, missing breakfast); and tour ended at 5.30 instead of listed 2 pm. For us not a big deal, but for someone with evening plans, an issue i assume.
Great tour! We really saw a lot of waterfalls and caves. Would not have wished for more sights as it was quite a long trip already. No need to book a more expensive tour I guess. We had two competent tour guides in the forest so I felt very safe. Good lunch with fantastic Tambaqui fish. Punctual transfer from Manaus. Bus driver from hell, constantly speeding and tailgating on the small cars (as close as 3m distance at ca. 90km/h). The Roads are not designed for this speed, with sharp curves and steep slopes. I asked out tour guide for help, he told me that our driver was “a professional”. In the end I just closed my eyes and prayed that we will be ok.
Our first stop was a large waterfall, Cachoeira da Iracema. Very beautiful. Then lunch at the town. There were lots of people because of the festival of Cupuaçu. After that we drove to see the cave, Caverna do Maroaga. It’s a hike through the jungle but so worth it! The guides there were informative, but did not speak English (our guide for the tour spoke English). The jungle was magical.
I booked it last minute. Although I asked for an English speaking guide, and was told we would have one, neither our driver nor guide spoke any English. Thank goodness for google translate. Still they couldn't have been nicer or more generous. They worked hard to provide our small group with an authentic, safe and satisfying experience.
Second tour with this company and trip advisor. Again not what was advertised. The tour was supposed to be six hours and took almost 11! The group maximum size was supposed to be 8 and we had 16 people. The tour had a guide that spoke English. We were picked up over an hour late from what we were told without and update or communication from the company. The tour and lunch was nice but the biggest waterfall with the nest swimming we spent the least amount of Time at, wear shoes that can get wet and muddy! It was a nice hike, but again the review is of the dishonesty from trip advisor where we paid more money than others, and was much different from what was said.. Book through another company
We did 2 tours with Amazon Amazing Tours, the waterfalls and the meeting of the waters tour. Both were excellent! Bilingual guides and well organized. Would definitely recommend! Miguel and Felix were wonderful guides.
We booked the tour understanding it was 6 hours and we had to be ready between 7 and 9 am. We were delayed getting off the ship, but we’re in the terminal at 8:45. Our guide had left at 8:30. He sent another car that arrest 9:45. When we got in he asked when we had to get back . We told him 3pm. He told us it was an 8 hour tour driving 2 hours each way. We had him drive around the block and drop us off at the terminal. Not our best tour. The main problem was the listing. Also no one checked the information we included on the booking form. Lost $140 and a day.
Great tour, amazing guide. Would highly recommend it. He was always helping us and he knew all the information. Very organized
Wonderful tour from start to finish. Safe travel in a comfortable van, English translator, and delicious lunch! We visited 3 waterfalls & got to swim in 2 of them. This was my favorite tour of my trip!
Amazing scenery, beautiful waterfalls, good treks & a lovely guide that took fantastic photos and videos for us to treasure.
The tour was very professional. The guide was accurate in times and didn’t lie to us when he didn’t know the answers to our question. The guides always check on us and make sure that we’re good. I enjoy the trip a lot.
Great day with a great guide - Joao who we really connected with and ended up having dinner and breakfast the next day with. Waterfalls were beautiful and so refreshing for a swim
The tour was supposed to be in English and I had a group with only Portuguese people and so the tour was in Portuguese. The guide spoke very basic English and did not make an effort to explain stuff to me in English. The max size advertised was 8 people and we were 11 people. It was a bunch of us pooled together from different tour agencies. The pick ups in the morning took 2 hours and the drop offs too. The itinerary advertised was also not followed. I just saw one waterfall instead of two and then was taken to some grottos and caves. The sights were very beautiful so no complaints there but the tour took 13 hours in total instead of 5-6 as advertised. So it ruined my evening plan. I booked it via trip advisor and realised I was paying almost double the price all the Brazilians were paying. They gave me a 50% refund which I think was okay and I appreciate it. The tour was good overall but I wouldn't trust this company again since they didn't deliver what was advertised.
The first and main waterfall was beautiful but was only about 45min to stay there. Then had lunch by the river which was actually pretty good (drinks not included in price). Dipped our feet in the order to cool down but didn’t swim. Then had a long hike to an anti climatic waterfall. Hike was a little more tedious than expected but the scenery and caves were beautiful. Hike involved walking through a stream and a lot of inclines and declines.
We had an amazing day at Presidente Figueredo waterfalls . The guide was very friendly and took care of all our needs . The place itself is astonishingly beautiful and speaks for itself . The company is responsible and they’ll make sure you will have a perfect experience. Highly recommend
It was an amazing tour in Presidente Figueiredo! Beautiful waterfalls and cave and a great meal at a local restaurant! The guide, Mario, was very attentive and nice. Would definitely recommend!
