We took the water villa, it a wonderful experience . The beach is so pleasant. And the staff is very friendly and show good respect towards visitors. The food is also a good. I would like to visit this resort again. Good to go with this resort. We had a great time.
The food is extraordinarily amazing, and the reef is beautiful with lots and lots of animals to enjoy from.
The island itself need some work to do. Facilities are old, rooms need repairing, there's an outdated feeling to the island. As far as staff goes - we've had it both ways, either super friendly and kind, or extremely rude tips-seekers. We enjoyed our stay very much but retrospectively - would have definitely booked elsewhere for the money we've paid here.
Thank god for the water villa that made the stay much better, the pool villa needs to be removed or repaired entirely, it's just ridiculous.
We had a wonderful vacation at Vakarufalhi! We were so impressed by the great service from all of the staff members, who always made us feel welcome. Our room was was gorgeous, and we loved going snorkeling right off of our back deck. Great diving in the house reef and proximity to dive sites in the South Ari Marine Protected Area along with the knowledgable dive instructors were also a plus! Overall, this was an amazing vacation, with stunning views, incredible nature, and great service. We hope to be back soon!
We spent 5 nights in a beach villa with the Super All Inclusive plan. I can't recommend it more. The package included an excursion (we chose the 'whale shark' one and we enjoyed a sublime experience snorkelling with a 10-metre long whale), a romantic dinner in the beach (amazing!!) and a great massage, among a few other great things. Fully recommended.
The island itself is a paradise. Big enough to have certain privacy and your 'own' beach but small enough to not have more than 50 rooms, I believe. It really felt like we were almost alone.
The staff was very helpful and nice, always taking care of us and making us feel even better.
The food was diverse and of great quality.
The overall experience could not have been better. It was expensive, but worth it.
Most incredible resort! We stayed for 10 nights in a villa over the water and hands down the most relaxing beautiful place on earth. The snorkeling is incredible, the food was amazing, the excursions are wonderful! It feels like you're in a postcard the whole time. The staff is so so friendly you won't meet nicer people. Our room boy, the bar staff, our waiter Afzal was the nicest person. We loved them all so much!
Only advice I have is to make sure you bring your own sunscreen, after sun lotion if you wear it, ibuprofen, etc... once you're on the island you don't leave and there is only 1 VERY expensive boutique store that charges $30USD for a small bottle of sunscreen lotion...
Otherwise it's an incredible place and we cannot wait to go back! We loved every minute of it.
