Great experience flying into Six Sense via Singapore Airlines. Our greeter Nishan from Six Sense was really gracious at the airport, went out of his way to help our entire transit process. We had fun the first day and our snorkeling guide James has been really helpful. We took the boat to a remote island and had lunch there. Our waiter Shifou was professional and gracious and we loved the food, especially grilled octopus and lobster dishes. We had a wonderful Turtle Safari snorkeling session yesterday and we had fun!!! Our snorkeling guide, Abraham from Ocean Team, was a professional diver and snorkeling guide and brought us to see dolphin, shark, turtle, as well as sting ray in the nearby water. Thank you, Abraham. Every morning we had breakfast at Market and our waiter Ahmed has been very attentive to details. Thank you, Ahmed.

The idea of “well-being” should extend beyond the menu. Breakfast is a major disappointment I posted in a separate review for their restaurant. Below average and hugely disappointing. What surprised me equally was the condition of some of the vegetation immediately around our villa. Several plants appeared visibly stressed and poorly maintained, with extensive dark coating/discoloration across branches and leaves, numerous white deposits or spots, yellowing and browning foliage, damaged leaves and substantial leaf fall around the villa. I am not a horticulturist and therefore will not pretend to diagnose whether this is fungal growth, an insect infestation, salt stress or another plant-health problem. But one does not need to identify the exact pathology to recognise a plant that appears to be struggling. This matters because a resort built around nature and well-being should not treat landscaping merely as decoration. The environment itself should feel nurtured. Healthy plants, clean surroundings, fresh food and people who appear happy to be there are all parts of the same experience. For me, genuine hospitality and wellness are not created by placing the words well-being on a menu, offering kombucha shots or designing an attractive villa. They are created by caring for the whole living environment — the food guests eat, the cleanliness of the spaces they occupy, the vegetation surrounding them, and, importantly, the people who work there. A genuinely well-run island should ideally leave both its guests and its staff feeling rejuvenated. Unfortunately, what we experienced too often conveyed the opposite: stressed vegetation, insects around food,(including cockroaches)tired-looking surroundings in places, and staff who themselves frequently appeared unhappy and disengaged. That disconnect between the wellness image being presented and the condition actually experienced is perhaps the most disappointing part
The most incredible stay on this island. Our GEM Sameeh was amazing, we will miss him so much! James the islands very own marine biologist!! All the staff made this trip so unforgettable. The Island is beautiful, food fantastic and we saw soo much sea life- much more than other islands in the Maldives. Six Senses really is a very special place!!
We recently stayed at Six Senses Kanuhura for our wedding anniversary, and it was truly a memorable experience. The F&B team was amazing — the food choices were excellent and every meal was delicious. The housekeeping team also did a fantastic job keeping our water villa spotless, clean, and comfortable throughout our stay. What made the experience even more special was the warmth of all the staff on the island. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which made us feel genuinely cared for during our trip. The island itself is absolutely beautiful — almost unreal at times. Crystal clear waters, stunning scenery, and such a peaceful atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are very glad we chose Six Senses Kanuhura to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
The place is wonderful scenery, food, activities and it’s all driven by great staff! Unfortunatly the management does not respect people’s time and money! This was evident as we had to spend a night in Male as we missed the sea plane in with no apology from management! In addition we were told we would leave the final day at 11:30 am with an airplane waiting time exceeding 4 hours!! A full day wasted!! Plus the value for money is not worth it!! You spend about $ 2,000/ day minimum with quality of a $600-800 /day! It lost its “boutique” quality and attention to tailored guest experience and is more cruise ship or packages trip feel! Very unfortunate! Especially that there are many alternatives!
