We had an absolutely amazing stay at Atholhu Residence on Fehendhoo. Out of our 1.5-month trip through Southeast Asia, this was easily our most memorable stay. The manager Rakib runs this place with incredible care. Everything was perfectly organized from the start — pickup, luggage, welcome drink, and excursions. As a professional photographer, I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t bring my drone to the Maldives, but Rakib somehow managed to organize a top-tier drone for me, which allowed me to capture the shots I had dreamed of taking on the island. That level of effort really meant a lot. One highlight was a night fishing trip with my 5-year-old son. Afterwards, our fresh catch was prepared especially for us right in front of our residence next to the beach, grilled over coconut charcoal and served with rice and fresh salad. It was amazing. The food overall was excellent — especially the clear tuna soup from the chef. Service was outstanding. Rohan from Sri Lanka was incredibly attentive — always making sure we had everything we needed and keeping our room stocked with water. You can clearly see his professional experience from places like Dubai and hotels such as Hilton. Traveling with kids was effortless here. The team was wonderful with our children and helped us prepare baby food with hot water and equipment, which made everything very easy. They also arranged an extra bed, laundry service, and a perfectly organized speedboat transfer to our next island. Rakib even upgraded the boat for a smoother ride depending on sea conditions while keeping the same price. This place doesn’t feel like a hotel — it feels like a home in the Maldives. Truly outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We really recommend this place for your stay in Fehendhoo. Very friendly, helpful and polite stuff, delicious food, clean rooms, wonderful location - close to everything. We could fully experience the Maldives thanks to various trips.
Postitive: - Friendly Staff - Nice room with comfy bed - Cozy atmosphere overall - Early checkin as I was lucky that the room was ready Negative: - Communication before was nearly impossible so no one was aware that I arrive and was not pickes up or welcomed. Also regarding speedboats - Wifi is not stable at all
If you’re looking for an island that’s free from crowds and offers peace, quiet, and a truly relaxing atmosphere, look no further. We chose Atolhu Residence over other guesthouses on the island, and it turned out to be the best decision. Nestled in the heart of the village, this place is a true oasis where we had the most amazing experience. The guesthouse is very small — with no more than five rooms — yet it feels surprisingly luxurious. Everything is beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated, with natural materials that blend seamlessly into the surrounding environment. The true strength of this guesthouse lies in its owner and staff. Everyone is exceptionally kind, attentive, and always smiling — genuinely eager to help and ensure you make the most of your stay. Breakfasts were varied each morning, and we really enjoyed them. Lunch or dinner can easily be pre-ordered for a specific time, which is very convenient and saves you time. We’d especially like to mention the employee from Sri Lanka (apologies for forgetting the name 😅). He was always friendly, easy to talk to, and incredibly detail- and customer-oriented — truly an asset to the guesthouse. The room was very spacious, highlighted by its impressively high ceilings. The bathroom was located under the roof, featuring an open section in the ceiling that allowed natural sunlight to filter in and created a pleasant, outdoor feel — even the palms inside received some light. Basic toiletries such as hand wash, shower gel, and shampoo were provided. I should also mention that we did not experience any unpleasant odors that some previous reviewers had mentioned. However, we did have a small surprise one night when we found two jungle cockroaches in the bathroom. Given that the bathroom is partially open-air and surrounded by lush greenery, it’s quite normal for insects to find their way in — we had a similar experience on another island, so this is not something to hold against the guesthouse. Keeping the bathroom light on at night helped a lot to avoid this issue. The beach may not be very large, but it’s absolutely breathtaking and feels wonderfully private, as very few people go there. The only real downside of the guesthouse is that it doesn’t provide bicycles for guests, unlike some other places on the island. The beach is about a 25-minute walk away, which can feel a bit far — especially if you’d like to visit more than once a day. My recommendation to the owner would be to consider offering bicycles for rent, perhaps at around $5 per day, as we’ve seen on other islands. It would make getting to the beach much more convenient and enjoyable. Overall, we would definitely come back and can offer this guesthouse to anyone!
Very nice place. The owner is friendly and welcoming , he told us about the island at day of our arrival. staff is well trained and food is delicious. The lobby / restaurant is authentically decorated with hand made decorations and wooden design. Highly recommended
