This is a nice outing. Very different landscapes and huge views off the top of the mountain. Really worthwhile if you like the outdoors and hiking. Our guide Alfonso was great, informative and good at pacing too. Please note: El1. Expect it to be 10C cooler than Malaga, due to being inland and at 1000m of elevation. Expect some wind as well. 2. They say the footing is rocky, rough. Believe them. If it's rained recently it'll be muddy and slippery in places too.

Very pleasant hike within easy reach of Malaga. Alfonso was a knowledgeable and humorous guide, and the walk was everything the photos promise. Highly recommend.
An amazing journey through breathtaking mountains, with paths suitable for both beginners and experienced hikers. We even encountered wild mountain goats 🐐 that confidently posed for photos! They clearly know humans can't compete with their rock-climbing skills 🤣. Our guide, "Mr. Ironman-to-be," was hilarious and kept the energy high. We even had an 80-year-old from Canada in our group who climbed like a champion—he was basically a mountain goat himself! A must-do experience if you are visiting Malaga!
Lovely and intelligent guide. You get much more information with guided walk although normally I do this kind of trips by myself. Easy to find the pick up point. Must see this World heritage site by Unesco.
It was worth the money with a great guide who was very knowledgeable the trip on the bus with other visitors was enyoyablle
It is definitely a vigorous hike. Wear hikers with good soles and dress in layers cause you will be taking layers off and then adding layers
The path is rocky and you need decent shoes and to be quite sure footed However it is a fabulous walk and we'll worth the effort
Well organised, small group tour to spectacular natural scenery. Gets there early to beat the crowds.
We really enjoyed Torcal de Antequera. Stunning natural park. The hike in a small group was very nice. The guide shared tons of informations. Highly recommended
Very good guide imparting lots of historical and geological knowledge about the place. The terrain feels like entering into a different planet. Definitely recommend it.
It was a little challenging but I like that very good guide knew all about the area he was very patient with everyone
The views are breathtaking, it’s a beautiful place to visit and the information that was provided helped to bring the area to life. From the geological to the historical, the tour guide brought the place to life. The pace was easy and I would suggest most people should find the terrain easy to navigate. It is worth going with a guide though as it would be very easy to get lost. Ah and finally the view from the top. You can see for miles all the way to the Sierra Nevada,
Fantastic scenery and walk! Guide was knowledgeable and personable. Small group made it easygoing. Fun seeing the ancient sea life on top of the mountain
Super tour, beyond our expectations! The scenary is fantastic and Alfonso was super insgihtlul, told us plenty of interesting stories. It was a group of 7 people so a almost tailor-made experience, very nice and personalised approach to everyone.
It was a wonderful trip in a very beautiful area. The guide told us tons of interesting information about the area. A good way to get out of the busy city of Malaga and enjoy some nature.
The area is great and the nature beautiful. The track was a bit random and not as easily walkable as advertised. The guide was generally nice but he also seemed to be a bit annoyed and tired of his job perhaps, with some rude comments and jokes.
Beautiful area, guide rather rushed, happy to walk ahead and then see if the stragglers turned up also no great depth of knowledge.
My spouse and I greatly enjoyed this trip. I liked that it was a small group, just 8 of us. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun and the trip departed right on time. The route is manageable for most people (one couple with us was over age 75) yet challenging enough to not be boring. You'll witness some incredible landscapes unlike anything I've seen anywhere else in the world. Truly incredible. I think this is a great trip if you want to do something unique in Malaga and have already experienced the Caminito Del Rey. I think the price was fair given the small group and top quality overall.
Amazing views and tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The path was a little slippy in places so make sure to wear decent shoes.
We received a cancellation email the day before the tour. Indicated it will be refunded, but still a disappointment as other activities were now booked up.
Transport was smooth, we got welcomed by a friendly guide who took us on a lovely hike through the park. He explained a lot about the history of the place and about the geology, plants and wildlife. We had a great experience and would totally recommend it!
Alphonso was great guide. Weather did not permit us to go to torcal but went to Frigelli to hike which was a very cool town and hike.
A beautiful place and a good hike. Be sure to wear real hiking boots/shoes it's a rocky trail but fun.
Truly natural hiking, so complicated under foot, but easily worth it but anyone with medical issues really needs to be aware. An early start meant avoiding the max heat. Nice to be away from crowds, uncluttered and looking out for goats on the horizon when I could look away from my feet. Great small group tour, exactly the right size.
Hiked the yellow route with a good guide. Would recommend an early start, the park tends to get overrun later in the day
We had an amazing hike and highly recommend it. It is a moderate hike and very rocky- we had sturdy hiking shoes. The landscape is otherworldly and amazing. We saw so many Andalusian mountain goats- it was fun looking for them. Leaving at 8 in the morning meant we had the place to ourselves for most of the hike- great plus!
Hike was fantastic! Easy trip from Malaga, our tour guide was knowledgeable and gave us a lot of neat information, he went at the group’s pace. It was a good day spent out hiking and learning.
I’d never seen a landscape this before. It was really interesting. The hike itself was a great work out as well as you have to pick your way through the rocks in the path and there are some good inclines as well. The view at the top is really spectacular. You are really high up. Our leader, Alphonso, was very knowledgeable and pointed out mountain goats that we wouldn’t have spotted without him. He also showed us a maple tree that was really interesting as we are Canadian and it looked similar but very different from the maple trees in Canada. It is much cooler and windier there than in Malaga so dress in layers because in the sheltered areas it is quite warm. I highly recommend this tour! Catherine
Brilliant hiking tour of Torcal de Antequera with Alfonso. We are a family of four w two kids aged 9 and 12. The whole family absolutely loved the experience. It was great to get out of the city and see the surrounding mountains of the region. Alfonso was very knowledgable and also great with the kids. We loved seeing vultures and mountain goats. My 9 year old said it was the best hike he’s ever done - high praise! Highly recommended.
This was a great excursion with Alfredo our guide. The one hour drive each way is beautiful. The hike was perfect. We saw lots of Wildlife, mainly wild goats and even some wild boars! Alfredo was a good guide explaining so much about the landscape and how things formed there. We also liked the small group of 8 people.
Fantastic escape from the city! A half day tour with great people from all around the world and amazing tour guide Alfonso😊 The tour exceeded my expectations! The level is for beginners so everyone can enjoy this picturesque views! It actually took my breath away when i saw it! Never seen such nature before. I can definitely recommend this tour! 10/10✨️
This was a great tour to see something totally unique to this region. The guide was knowledgable and engaged in conversations, the pace was quite slow, and it is not too difficult of a cardio work out (my 65 year old father was able to keep up with the group just fine). The path is quite rocky and there are a few up and down hill sections on uneven terrain, so this could be tough for a person who is not stable on their feet / has balance issues. The tour will be cancelled if it is raining or other inclimate weather, because the paths become dangerous. The views were AMAZING!
We had a great day with Alfonso. Hope to see you next time Super excursie. Next year we do another excursie with Alfonso
Our tour guide Alfonso was brilliant and the views at the top were magnificent. Highly recommend this tour.
A great morning getaway from city exploring in Malaga. We'd just come off a hiking trip as well and Torcal de Antequerra was a beautiful place to visit and get some more hiking in. Well paced and led by Alfonso who explained the geological history of the park and pointed out various formations.
Just had an amazing day ! The scenery was amazing and Alfonso very kind and professional ! Thank you very much ! Sofia
This hike with Alfonso through this beautiful, bizarre landscape is one of the best memories of our trip to Málaga. Alfonso is a very nice, sociable, thoughtful and open-minded guy, who has a lot of interesting things to share, but also shows interest in the participants. Since the group consists of a maximum of 8 people, there is a nice personal atmosphere, you can ask questions and have a talk. I was totally impressed by the beautiful nature - I did not know that the area around Málaga is so beautiful! I can only recommend this hike to everybody.
El Torcal de Antequera is now my preferred place on earth. It's such a magnificient landscape that you will not believe it. Wonderful experience. Alfonso is the best guide in Malaga. He explains everything so we all understand.
Alfonso is a dedicated and energetic guide! Just watch out to mention Barcelona - that is a sensitive topic. But it is so for all spanish people, I reckon.
The entire trip was absolutely wonderful. The rock formations were so unique and fascinating and the views from the top were gorgeous! That trip was actually my most memorable and favorite part of my time in Spain. I highly recommend it. Alphonso was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. And had a fun sense of humor. It was a great day. And I also got some needed exercise!
Pick-up in Malaga was easy, and Alfonso was a great guide throughout the hike! I was traveling alone (there were three solo travelers on the tour), and he helped us all feel comfortable. The region is stunningly beautiful, and he made sure that we saw all the fossils, goats, and unique formations. It was a highlight of my trip to Andalusia!
Alfonso is very knowledgeable about this unique area, thus I've not only enjoyed the magnificent nature and breathtaking views but also learned a lot about the formation of El Torcal. I've really enjoyed the hike and would recommend this short but unforgettable trip to all nature lovers and outdoor fans. Thanks Alfonso it was the perfect day!
This was a beautiful and rich experience! Not only do you get to visit an astonishing place where nature shines your eyes and runs clear air through your nose but you meet Alfonso who is an absolute amazing person and guide! I went with my fiancé and we were smiling randomly during and after this experience ! Thank you Alfonso !
I did the tour last March, before the virus shut down the world. It was one of my highlights of my trip. Torcal de Antequera is such a beautiful place and Alfonso was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. There are trails marked in the park, but they are very confusing and with the landscape there, it is very easy to get lost. Alfonso knew his way around the part and got us there early enough not to be among the crowds that came later. When I am in Malaga again, I will definitely book Alfonso's other tours and would like to do this one as well because it was such a lovely experience.
The tour was fantastic and well-organised. Alfonso is a very friendly and funny guide/geographer who knows the ins and outs of (e.g. loation of fossils, vulture nests) of Torcal de Antequera. The tour was semi private (there were 6 of us in total) which meant that we got to know everyone in the tour. The hike was not tiring despite rocky terrains. Definitely worth going for the unique and breath-taking experience! Would love to go to another of Alfonso's tours in the future.
This was my favorite part about my trip to Malaga. Alfonso was an excellent guide, very friendly, warm, and knowledgeable. He created such a fun atmosphere to hike in, and he would stop regularly and tell us about fun facts and turn our attention to rock formations in the area. The view is absolutely incredible, the hike isn't difficult at all. The people I hiked with (Alfonso included) were very lovely. I had such a great time!
I had looked into doing this myself but in researching, found there's only a bus to the town of Atenquera and then you have to look to get a taxi up to the Park. If you dont know how long youll be hiking - theres a risk that there may not be a taxi there when you finish. (unless you negotiate the taxi to stay there) So I found Alfonso's option and I am very glad I did. We went early and were one of the first groups in the Park. Although I read online that the trails are marked - in getting there... I realized how confusing they are. I think I definitely wouldve gotten lost if I had gone alone. Alfonso was very knowledgable - he showed us interesting things and history about the park that you also would not have been able to access going solo. Our group was very fun and when we were ready to leave - the park was now PACKED. The parking lot was full as well as the guest center. I was very glad we went early to avoid the crowds. Overall I thought it was amazing value and trip and would highly recommend to anyone looking to explore outside Malaga
We had an excellent experience with Alfonso as guide. We started and finished perfectly on time. I was with two kids (9y and 12y)and this experience was great for us all. The rocks are incredible, the views are wonderful. We had perfect weather in october. The guide is knowledgeable, polite and nice as a person. Highly recommend.
I highly recommend this trip. While the other excursions are always full of people, this one takes you to a place where you and the little group you go with (6 people) are the only ones. The scenary is different and very photogenice for all your instagram shots. Our gide Alfonso was super friendly and the ride from and to the hotel was even fun chatting with him and learning more about the local experiences of Malaga.
Super interesting. The guide showed us several things that we would not have noticed without him. I will recommend it to all my friends.
