We had an incredible day with our guide, Thomas. He picked up us promptly at 8:30 am at our hotel, and we started our trek toward Ronda. Thomas provided interesting information along the way about various towns and activities. Our first stop was at La Melonera Winery where we had a short tour and learned about the Melonera grape. We enjoyed a tasting of several wines along with tapas made from local ingredients. Thomas then took us on an incredible drive to Ronda. We stopped along the way for some breathtaking photos of the city from afar. We then had time to experience the city of Ronda on our own with suggestions for spots to see from our guide. On our way home, Thomas took us to look at several restaurants we were considering for an upscale dinner the following evening. In addition, he recommended a festival for us that was occurring the next day in a neighboring town that we hadn't planned to visit. We did go to the festival and it was one of the highlights of our trip! We felt like Thomas went above and beyond to find out what our interests were and to tailor our day to them. It was one of the best days we had in Spain!

Your adventure begins with a comfortable pickup from your Málaga hotel or apartment. Relax as we transport you through the scenic Andalusian countryside, adorned with olive groves, orange orchards, and charming white villages.
Arriving at Finca La Melonera, one of Ronda's most esteemed organic wineries, you'll embark on a guided tour of the vineyards. Learn about the revival of indigenous grape varieties and the estate's commitment to sustainable viticulture. In the barrel room, discover the intricate winemaking process before indulging in a curated tasting of their finest wines, perfectly paired with appetizers.
Following the winery experience, you'll have two hours to explore the historic town of Ronda at your own pace. Marvel at the iconic Puente Nuevo, which majestically spans the 100-meter-deep El Tajo gorge, connecting the old Moorish quarter with the newer part of town. Delve into Ronda's rich history by visiting landmarks such as the Plaza de Toros, one of Spain's oldest bullrings, and the well-preserved Baños Árabes (Arab Baths) dating back to the 13th century. Stroll through the cobblestone streets, soak in panoramic views from various miradores, and perhaps savor local delicacies at a traditional café.
After your self-guided exploration, we'll reconvene for a relaxing drive back to Málaga, allowing you to reflect on a day filled with cultural immersion, culinary delights, and breathtaking landscapes. This tour seamlessly blends the pleasures of fine wine, rich history, and stunning scenery, offering an authentic taste of Andalusia's treasures.

We had a great time on our wine trip through Ronda. Two very nice wineries, and a beautiful visit in the town.
We had a wonderful experience with Costa Excursions in Costa del Sol! Our driver and tour guide, Thomas, was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating throughout the day. We truly enjoyed our time with him and especially appreciated his tips for exploring Ronda on our own while still staying in contact in case we needed anything. The winery experience was fantastic and definitely a highlight of the tour. Luckily, we had stopped for a quick breakfast sandwich in one of the towns on our way, as there was only small cuts of dried meat and some toasted bread offered for the tapas. Everything was well organized, relaxed, and enjoyable, making it easy for us to take in the sights and enjoy the experience at our own pace. Overall, it was a great tour with an excellent guide. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Costa del Sol!
Three of us had a great winery tour with Peter yesterday! He was helpful through the organizing process - very communicative and had lots of good information. Our meet up location was straightforward. Peter has lots of local information and knows the best wineries to visit for what you like. Highly recommend you go on a tour with him!
Despite a colder, rainy day, we had the best trip from Costa del Sol to Ronda — thanks to Peter (our driver and guide). Peter communicated well before the day even arrived. He paid attention to all the details and allowed us to explore Ronda wines and the town without any worry. He selected 2 wineries with great red wines — our favorite. He arranged snacks did the tastings and gave us great ideas to explore Ronda. And he is an AMAZING driver up and down the mountain.
We had a wonderful day on our trip to Ronda. Thomas was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable on the area in the history, and went out of his way to see some hidden gems. We would not have seen otherwise. Can’t recommend this trip more!
Ronda is well known for its famous bridge and bull fighting ring but, maybe less so for its wine. We had an excellent experience visiting Bodega La Melonera with our tour guide Peter. We were introduced to the history of viticulture in the region and tasted some unique blends using local varieties of grapes. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, flexible, and spoke excellent English. I highly recommend spending the day with Peter and exploring Ronda and its surrounding wineries.
We had such a great time!! Peter was a great host, was knowledgeable on the wineries in the area and picked a perfect one for us. After the winery we headed to Ronda, where Peter made lunch reservations for us with a perfect view of the Puente Nuevo Bridge. The ride there and back was beautiful, so picturesque. Loved it!!
We really enjoyed our time not only at the winery and Ronda but with our guide Thomas! We can’t wait to book again with costa excursions! Would highly recommend!
Great day trip to La Melonera vineyard where we tasted 3 delicious wines and two olive oils - very interesting. We were picked up in Málaga by Peter who was very accommodating and friendly. He drove us to the vineyard and then dropped us in Ronda where we had time to explore and have lunch. Very good communication throughout and an extremely enjoyable day.
What a beautiful day we had on our wine tasting experience. We were driven through the mountains to Ronda where we had two hours to explore this wonderful town. From there we visited two gorgeous vineyards and were treated to fabulous food and wine. Nicky was amazing and very informative as was Freda. We would highly recommend this trip and we would also do the trip again next time we are in Marbella. A perfect day ❤️
A great trip. The tour of the winery was great, and the driver gave us a really nice tour of the city. The driver also helped us find a great place for lunch that was a bit away from the touristy areas, so that was really great too. It was a great day trip and I'd highly recommend it.
Thomas was driver for our private tour in Ronda. He picked us up directly from our hotel early to ensure we had enough time to make our scheduled winery visit. Winery was great- even in the off season. They showed up the vineyards and explained how they produced the wines we were having. Thomas was extremely knowledgeable and explained a lot of history about the region. This tour gave us enough time to see all the photo worthy sights without being rushed and had time at the end for a drink. Highly recommend.
Outstanding - Thomas was incredible and made sure we saw all the great spots, he took the time to send us hot spots in Malaga as well. Cappuccino looking over the Bullring was an unexpected pleasure as we had a little extra time. Great day !!!
Great tour , Thomas was excellent!! WInes were great, and the time in Ronda was amazing. Beautiful City!
Our day with Thomas was exactly what we were hoping for! He picked us up (5 adults) at the Marriott Beach Resort in Marbella and drove us to the most beautiful Winery in Ronda. The Wine tour took about 2 hrs and included wine tasting & tapas at the end. Then, we drove to the outside of town to admire the beauty of the city looking up on the cliff. Thomas was able to hook us up with a lunch reservation with amazing views on the cliff (even though it was a Saturday ~ probably should have lined that up a bit earlier as the town was extremely busy). After lunch, we did a walking tour of Ronda. Then 8.5 hrs later, delivered us back to our hotel. Perfect day!
Enjoyed learning about the history of winemaking in Spain. And the tour of Ronda was great, particularly enjoyed the visit to the Bullring and the New Bridge.
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable day with Thomas who fetched us from our hotel and was so friendly and informative as he guided us up the mountains to the winery and to Rhonda. He took an off the beaten path to Rhonda which gave us a special view of the city as we entered. He also led us to an amazing restaurant with a balcony view for lunch. It was a very beautiful day. Thomas continued to give us travel tips for our upcoming plans to go to Gibraltar and Morocco, giving us suggestions for where to park and eat. Would highly recommend this excursion and company.
Peter was fantastic. He picked us up from our hotel in Marbella (Amare Beach Hotel) promptly. Comfortable van, clean, stopped, at our request, for coffee on the way to Ronda, helpful with translating our order at the café, and kept an eye on us the whole time to make sure we were being taken care of. Very knowledgeable of the area, of Ronda and the winery. Once at the winery we were greeted by the guide, she was great, very knowledgeable about the area, history, the winery. Great private tour of the winery and the wine making process, followed by tapas and wine tasting. Trip to the city of Ronda was great, Peter provided helpful information, a map and some recommendations. He also made reservations for us at a Michelin Star Tapas restaurant, some of the best unique tapas on the trip. We could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish, and Peter is a great person to chat with along the way. I would go through Peter again for any tour in the area or surrounding area. First class service, and well worth going with a private tour.
The trip was awesome. Thomas really surpasses the extra mile. He’s easy, knowledgeable, reserved and a great driver. Lorena at the winery was fantastic. I highly recommend it, and I will do it again.
Without a doubt, this is the best tour I have ever been on. Our guide, Thomas, was so friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We had the best day with him. We took a private tour of the winery, Bodega F Schatz, which included tastings of 6 organic wines + tapas. Thomas was so sweet and even carried the wine we purchased back to our van. After the wine tour, he took us on the true "locals" tour of Ronda. He walked with us around the town, showing us the different bridges and telling us all about the history of the town. We also stopped at other scenic viewpoints, the bullring and for café at a hotel rooftop that overlooked the bullring. Afterward, he took us for Tapas at El Lechuguita, which Thomas told us is where all of the locals go. He went above and beyond to help us pick tapas that we never would have picked on our own and everything was DELICIOUS! On the way back, he took a slightly different route down to the coast (with our permission) and showed us the Rock of Gibraltar from the distance at a beautiful overlook. It was incredible. My friend and I honestly had the best day ever and will definitely book with Thomas again the next time we are in Malaga.
We had a fantastic time, learnt lots and enjoyed the wine tour! We would definitely recommend! Thanks Thomas ✌🏼
Excellent experience with great wine tasting and a lovely visit of the town of Ronda. Definitely worth the small excursion.
What a wonderful culture you Andalusians have that anyone who is not from here, you fall in love with. Great tour highly recommended
