Our guide Monica and our driver were very good. Quite a long trip in the coach and very considerately we stopped at a roadside cafe for refreshments and toilet. The food in the cafe was delicious. We had time to see the unusual 'rock' houses at Setenil', and a guided walk round Ronda, by Monica. And then time for ourselves and food. A most interesting trip.

Itinerary
After pickup, we will travel approximately 90 minutes to Setenil de las Bodegas. On arrival, you will have around 50 minutes to discover one of Andalusia’s most unique White Villages, famous for its houses built beneath huge rock formations. Stroll along its iconic Cuevas del Sol and Cuevas de la Sombra streets before continuing to Ronda, approximately 30 minutes away.
Arrive in Ronda, one of Andalusia’s most iconic towns, dramatically located above the impressive Tajo Gorge. Enjoy a guided walking tour with a local guide through the historic centre, discovering some of its most representative sights, including the Old Bridge and the area around the spectacular New Bridge. Afterwards, enjoy free time to stroll, have lunch or explore Ronda at your own pace. Additional visits depend on the option selected.
INCLUDED ONLY WITH THE THURSDAY OPTION. Visit one of Spain’s oldest and most monumental bullrings. Accompanied by a local guide, step onto the bullring and learn about the history of this iconic Ronda landmark. You will also visit the Bullfighting Museum, featuring historical exhibits, traditional costumes, artwork and pieces from Francisco de Goya’s Tauromachy series. Admission to the Bullring and Museum is included only with the Thursday option.
The New Bridge is Ronda’s most iconic landmark. Built between 1751 and 1793, it connects the historic part of the city with the newer area and rises above the spectacular Tajo Gorge, more than 100 metres deep. Enjoy its impressive views before having approximately 1 hour of free time in central Ronda to stroll, have lunch, shop or continue exploring at your own pace. The return journey takes approximately 90 minutes.
INCLUDED ONLY WITH THE SATURDAY OPTION. During our stay in Ronda, enjoy an experience at a local winery, where you will discover the area’s wine culture and visit a small museum dedicated to its history. The experience includes a tasting of 3 wines. This experience is included only with the Saturday option and is not included on Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Setenil & Ronda were worth the visit but the tour guides spoiled this tour for us. The guide on the coach missed the English parts on more than one occasion and unfortunately was difficult to understand when she did (many in the coach said the same thing). For the guided tour of Ronda our guide took the French speakers and the rest of us were given another guide. The guide was a lovely man but should not be taking these tours, he was very slow mobility wise and his guide aid for us was to hold up a small water bottle every now and again. Most of the group left the guide to walk round on their own as we were worried we would lose our free time in Ronda due to the slow pace. Would not recommend this tour company.
Beautifull and a wonderfull experience! Ronda and Setenil is absolute a highlight! The history of Ronda and the difference between the old and new city is breathtaking. Setenil is picture perfect! We've loved the day outing!!! Defnitely a must!!
Christopher was a delight. He was not rushed but thorough with his remarks and tips regarding Rhonda. It was nice to feel relaxed while absorbing the detailed information.
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Sentenil and Ronda. My husband and I really enjoyed the quaint little village of Sentenil. We could have spent more time there checking out the shops and the adorable homes built under the huge rocks. So cool!
We had a wonderful time on our Ronda and Setenil de las Bodegas tour! Our tour guide was fantastic — very friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. They made the experience enjoyable and gave us great information about the history and culture of both places. We loved seeing the beautiful scenery and exploring these charming towns. Highly recommend this tour!
The trip on the whole was ok. Personally I think we could have had longer in sentinel to get a coffee toilet and walk around town and view from above . Rhonda we saw the bull ring you can excuse urself from this if u want to do the walk around Rhonda gorge otherwise u wont have enough time to see the old town as well .
A lot of time is spent traveling to the locations but the bus was comfortable and a nice break from the heat. There was sufficient time to explore each city on your own. Both cities were very walkable. The bullring tour was interesting.
Lovely day trip. Our guide Melana was attentive & very informative throughout the trip telling us the history & facts about our destinations along the journey. Our coach driver was very safe & professional driver & friendly. Would have liked more free time in the first destination but made the most of it. Rhonda was well worth a visit. Really enjoyed the day. Thank you ☺️
Google Maps may lead you to a business among buildings close to a major BLVD for the meeting place. The meeting place will be on the BLVD- you will see other groups gathering there. There are square concrete structures that you can sit on. There will be a gaggle of buses that show up and you will just have to check with each bus to find yours. Yeah, it's annoying. However our bus was very nice as was the tour leader who will check you in. You'll get about a 1 hour taste of the town Sentenil de las Bodegas which has a Moorish history and is visually interesting due to it being built into the rocks. Then it was off to Ronda another town that has a Roman and Moorish history. Our guided tour was in Spanish and English and gave us good views of town as well as an unexpected but very good history of bull fighting in Spain and Ronda in particular. Ronda, visually, doesn't disappoint. We are thinking about returning and spending a couple days. Overall the tour was very good.
We booked for four people. We were sent an email previous to the day of departure saying the trip was delayed by one hour and that our pickup time was changed. On the day of departure we missed the bus because of the email and the company said that they couldn’t understand why TripAdvisor had sent me that email because trip was never changed
We were the only couple that boarded in Torremolinos Centre as everyone else got on in Malaga itself. When we got to Malaga our guide Pepe informed us that as the only English speaking couple on his bus it would be best if we swapped coaches and joint his colleague Melina on her bus, which was perfect as it meant better service all round. Our new guide Melina was fantastic, very friendly and informative and happy to answer the many questions she got asked. Our first stop was the cave village of Sentenil, which was absolutely gorgeous with its whitewashed buildings built into the cliffs and pretty vines, Jacaranda trees and flowers everywhere. Next was the main event, Ronda itself. Melina gave a wonderful leisurely walk from the bus station through a beautiful park before we got to the famous bridge, bull ring and the stunning city itself. Melina pointed out things that would normally have been ‘walked past’. The walking tour continued into the Oldest part of the city across the gorge and the bridge. Melina’s knowledge still kept coming and we felt history really being brought to life. The tour was a perfect combination of walking guided tour and free time. We would certainly use the company again when we come back in August/September, this time maybe Cordoba - hopefully Melina will be our guide for this one too!
This is a great tour and we'll organised. Janet was a super guide and really looked after us all day.
Alejandro was a great guide. Setenil de las Bodegas is small and I expected more areas with caves formations. Ronda is spectacular.
The tour guide on the bus did an amazing job translating between English, Castilian, and French, giving the same information in each language. Our group was very full, over 40 people, so we were split off into a second group with a separate tour guide in English for the Ronda portion. It was helpful to be in a smaller group to be able to hear more and ask more questions. I wish over all that there was more time in Ronda, and more historical and contextual information given. We spent what seemed the most guided time in the bullfighting arena, which was the most informative portion (I hadn't expected a tour of that and was uninterested in bullfighting, but the guide was very good and kept my interest in that entire part of the tour). I was glad to learn more, but wish there had also been more information about other parts of Ronda, the bridges, etc. The Setenil de las Bodegas portion was very brief, just time to walk around, get some pictures, and hard to find a quick snack to-go. The town is full of restaurants and tourist shops, and we had a hard time finding a bite to eat with the short time there.
Just the right amount of time in Sentenil de las Bodegas. We liked the guide telling us information about the area on the bus ride there.
It's was a nice drive into country side. Short stop in Setenil and then on to Ronda. Guide provided lots of information along the way. Had some free time but would have liked more time in bull ring museum.
Overall a good tour. The pickup point at Av. De Andalucia, 10 is a bit chaotic. many tour busses at the same time time and nothing g was marked with which tour is which. So large groups opening from one bus to another that part could be organized a bit better. And at least put signs up. Otherwise a worthy tour from Malaga as Setenil and Ronda (and most of the drive is beautiful)
Locations were good, but with shortcomings for me. Audio on the coach was not strong and people around me talking meant I missed a far amount. At Setenil we were just let loose. I could have used some guidance. The Ronda bullfighting museum was interesting but we were rushed through it, reduced to the guide's summary of panels.
It was a lovely tour. Very educating in Rhonda. Setenil was a really unique place but you basically had an hour to explore (not guided). Rhonda was guided and was fantastic. I learned so much from our guide. The place was AMAZING! The bull fighting history was so interesting!
Great places to visit and excellent tour guide, even thou it was practically raining all the time. Two beautiful places to visit, enjoy and take pictures.
Lovely drive to Ronda with a stop at an amazing village built into the rock.Ronda is a gorgeous village and of course the bridge is amazing. We had 4 hours there and it wasn't long enough. The guided walk seemed to take forever and wasn't really necessary. The bull ring had a museum with everything in English but the guide took forever to take us round. And the same with the bridge. We could easily have spent our own time admiring the bridge and taking photos Even in November in the pouring rain it was chaotic with so many groups. I can't even imagine what it must be like in the summer. I think it would be better to overnight there and enjoy Ronda without the crowds but if you're pushed for time this is,a good way to see Ronda.
Pleasant day trip with helpful guides. I went with the Spanish/French group; there was a separate English-only group. I'd been attracted by the photos of the gorge and bridge, but really found so much more in its rich history and, of course, the bullring and the bridge that connects the two sides of the town. Ronda was the home of Vicente Espinel from Spain's golden age. Very walkable. Wished I'd had more time to wander the city, but that seems to be true of every town I visit in Spain. ¡Abrazos!
Excellent excursion to Ronda and Sentenil with a great guide with a wealth of knowledge- booked through Get Your Guide - easily booked, cheap and fully informed throughout the booking stage and onwards.
The tour was very nice. Sentinel and a Ronda was interesting especially because of all the history. Ronda has beautiful mountains all around and the people were very friendly. The only complaint I have is the bus that transported us. It is full bus of passengers, however from the start of the morning till the end of the tour day, the A/C didn’t wok. Very hot on the bus especially when the sun is shinning through the windows, even when the curtains are closed. The bus also shakes and makes noises as if it is falling apart. We have been about in Spain for a month and all of the rest of the tours have newer Mercedez buses with comfortable riding, A/C and charging ports. This one is an older bus with none of the fore mentioned. Need to find a company with better buses for the paying public on the tours. Again as for the tour to the places we visited it was very nice. Thank you.
Wonderful, especially with Salvador . He was articulate, interesting, and knowledgeable. Plus he had a sense of humor and great pacing.
Ronda was very interesting, not only because of the beautiful old town, but also because Pépé’s professional knowledge about the history of the city. He takes you to the most beautiful parts of Ronda. I enjoyed every moment of the tour. The bus ride was very comfortable and the driver drove safely and relaxed. Both Pepe and the bus driver, are professionals.
Both are beautiful places. Vanessa was great She even did the tour in Spanish, English and French. The tour was excellent and we were back in Malaga by 4.30pm
Carolina, with TBL, was the perfect guide on our day trip to two very different but wonderful places. Ronda, ancient with it's chasm splitting the town in half, provides stunning vistas from the bridge and nearby parapets then meandering streets down closer to the gorge. Much interesting history at every turn. Twenty minutes away Setenil is a charming convoluted concoction of narrow streets and alleyways. Lunch under the rock overhang as well as visiting a residence carved into the cliff are unique.
A visit to Ronda and Setenil is a good activity to do when visiting Spain. Both are charming villages with lots of history. We paid the extra amount for a guided tour, and that’s the part that was disappointing. Our tour guide was not well-equipped to provide a good tour experience for the group size we had. He was difficult to hear; especially with the number people and noise in the areas we visited, which he said was a normal crowd in Ronda. The tour should require these guides to provide earpieces so that we can actually hear the information they are sharing.
Literally sat in the back of the bus, but the drive wasn’t too long. The 2 towns we visited were worth it. Our guides were knowledgeable and understandable. Lots of free time on our own to explore and get a bite to eat.
Great bus trim, excellent tour guide. Rhobda, was a great experience. Tour guide recommended, lots of interesting facts. Dont bother with the bull ring, we we on hotel catalonia, rooftop veiw, looking right over bullring save 9 euro each.
Great experience, knowledge guide. 9* Really enjoy this trip. Comfortable bus. Smart planned trip. We really liked it.
Beautiful cities and great guide. Just a bit confusing at the pickup meeting point. But overall was a awesome experience.
We enjoyed out tour very much! Our tour guide Olivier was excellent and made the bus ride entertaining and interesting. When we arrived at Ronda, the tourguide, Cristobal, was equally knowledgeable.
The tour was Ok but not wow! I felt confused by the tour co info on timing. First they said 11 hour day. Then it was back by 6:00 pm. But we got back at 4:00. Our guide in Ronda was very good but the company did provide earphones so hard to hear.
Good tour, good tour guy and beautiful places to visit. Ronda is a beautiful place to visit & admire the beautiful landscape.
The guide gave us really no direction when you arrived to Setenil. Other groups were directed by their guides, and the guides had microphones that luckily we were able to overhear. The guide in Ronda needed a microphone as well, and the bus was so hot a girl over heated. The conditions on the return were unbearable. Overall, the cities were beautiful.
We're glad we made the trip. The guide was considerate, informative and knowledgeable. Ronda is a must-see destination (spectacular views) and we learned a lot about the history of bull fighting with Ronda being at the epicentre. It was also very cool to see the little village of Setenil de las Bodegas where many houses and shops were built right into the mountain.
The trip was a convenient way to see Ronda, get a guided tour, and also see the interesting village of Sentinel. There was a good amount of free time on top of the tour and apparently there is another package that costs less and does not include the guided tour. The guide was very good although sometimes spoke a bit quickly, probably because it is in English, French and Spanish, but since there was downtime between commentaries, I would encourage taking time with the delivery.
This tour was booked by the Costa Del Sol group because our original tour was cancelled. They set up a car service to Ronda for 6 people, made it easy and were very communicative and accurate in what was provided to us.
Roda and Setenil are not that far from Malaga Centro and we had a great Lady Tourist guide! And when we arrived to our destination we are divided in 2 groups. Everything was organised and easy I must admit I have got an Amazing experience I loved it!!
Was very nice experience , great Tour guides, and, very professional, and many kind people . City very beautiful, charming
We would highly recommend a visit to Ronda and Setenil. We stayed in Ronda at the E l Tajo Hotel & Spa it was very central to everything. We did a day trip to Setenil which is all you need. We walked all over Ronda, hiked to the bottom of the bridge and around the gorge in the city. We really like the restaurant Las Maravillas on the main walking street.
In general, both tours went ok and safe. However, in Cibeles de Bodega, the tour guide was not well trained. We had to find our own way to see the area. He did not know the area completely. In Ronda. Antonio (local tour guide) was very knowledgeable, however we did not received the vouchers to visit the bull coliseum and the museum, which was included in the tour price. We have to paid out of pocket for additional tickets.
Information about free time (duration) in both locations. Be prepared to spend more time at La Ronda that you might want (unless you take time for a leisurely lunch).
I showed up at the meeting point at 7:55 a.m. for a 8:15 pickup. There was no one there, I waited an hour and a half, and was never picked up. Somehow you think I was on the tour. But I wasn't. I am very upset, my last two days in Malaga were based solely on this tour. I cannot express how angry I am right now.
Wish there was a 0 star review. Tour left without us even though we were there on time. Attempted to chat and call operator but no response. So unprofessional
The departure time was changed to 07:50 from 08:15. Everyone seemed to have arrived before 07:50. It was one of the unlucky freaky weather day, raining with cold wind. We waited, waited and waited at the meeting point, outside. Then the bus and guide finally arrived at 08:20! No apologies or explanations. Ronda and Setenil were impressive but with the extremely bad weather, we didn't enjoy the walk. For lunch, we went to the restaurant recommended by our guide. As it looked very touristy, our expectations were not that high but the food and wine were surprisingly good with reasonable price, and the service was good too. This restaurant is located in front of the bull ring.
From the ride to the sites,to the tour guides it was all wonderful. The scenery was incredible local restaurants plenty of shopping and very safe
