The Roman theatre was amazing! My daughter takes Latin at school and she was buzzing seeing all the history. The admission to the theatre is free and generally the crowd isn’t too large. It is a little confusing to find the entrance at first, but if you have any questions the staff are polite and help you. We visited for (give or take some minutes but) an hour. You are led into a dark-ish room but still lighted where there are interactive and interesting facts about the theatre and archeology. Then when you come out, there is the open air theatre with (at least when we were there) the resident and friendly cats! Definitely a detour worth taking, I would happily recommend it.

While we visit the archaeological remains of the Theatre, we will discover the origins and fascinating history of one of the oldest cities in the world, highlighting the peculiarities of this very well-preserved Theatre, built in the 1st century AD.
Alcazaba of Malaga is a medieval Arabic fortress called by locals as “the younger sister of Alhambra” since was built during the splendour of Al-andalus. Enjoying the walk through its walls, we will understand easily how this citadel had the reputation of being impregnable during the conquest.
Once we get to the top part, we will immerse in its stunning Arabic gardens and its palace where lived kings and governors for more than 400 years. We will finish in the best way possible, admiring the breathtaking view to the Port of Malaga.

Having been disappointed by the Castillo being closed we walked down to this landmark only to find out it too was closed, but at least this time there was a reason given - the windy weather.
We had a tour with Candi. She was great, very nice and professional at the same time. She presented the roman theater and Alcazaba in an informative, but very interesting way, spicing it up with some recent history stories and details. Over all, highly recommended as an English tour guide.
Excellent tour. Rachel was knowledgeable, passionate about Malaga, and a very good storyteller. We thoroughly enjoyed it - added so much to our Alcazaba visit. Highly recommended.
Beautiful views but a long walk in the Alcazaba. The views of the city were wonderful and there is plenty of history. We are glad we went
We were just a group of 3 and Rachel was an excellent tour guide. She had lots of pictures and information and answered any questions we had. The small size made for a create your and would highly recommend it (especially if Rachel is your guide)!
First class tour. Thank you to Candida who is a professional, knowledgeable and engaging guide. A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a morning.
Rachel, our guide, was a great story teller and made the experience so interesting and interactive. Very professional and informative.
I was lucky to be able to have my tour alone. I was the only person registered so I had a bit of a unique experience. Nevertheless, my guide, Raquel was great, she knew a lot about the history of the place and have me a perspective I wouldn’t have had without it. I also was given some resources to find more information out about the area and it’s history and recommendations on places to visit. I would recommend this experience.
A great two hour tour with our guide Rachel. She was able to convey the deep history of the Alcazaba in a most pleasant way. The value of this tour was amazing!
Our group (3 people) needed an English tour, but I couldn’t find any online for the day we needed. I emailed the company, and they quickly responded and setup a tour for us. We had so much fun with Raquel! We toured the Roman Theatre and Alcazaba. She shared so many fun facts about the structures, we would have never known if it weren’t for her! If you’re visiting Málaga, this tour is a great foundation to learn about the city’s history, culture, and Moorish influence in Andalusia. Very professional, informative, and fun!
We did a tour of Alcazaba and also one through the historic city. Both guides were quite passionate and knowledgeable. I only wish we had had more time to know Malaga better! We did the tour in Spanish but I think they also offer tours in English.
We had registered in English by mistake for the visit of the Roman theater and the alcazar, Candy was kind enough to give us the explanations also in Spanish, language we were more proficient in. We had a great time Thank you Candy for your professionalism
The small Roman theatre is visible from the outside. But you can also go through the building on the left to walk inside the theater for free. The ladies of the reception do not speak French but always find a solution to make themselves understood. They were very nice and explained that there was a small museum inside the building. However, Google Translation had to be released because the posters are not in French, but only in Spanish. The little walk to Alcazaba is really nice and very nice. We hesitated because some people said there was little point in going up there. But yet you have a magnificent view of the whole city and the interior and beautiful. Thanks to the phone, you can scan the QR code and have information throughout the ride in several languages.
We took a guided tour with Raquel to the Alcazaba and the Roman theater. Experience of 10! He explained everything to us brilliantly and made it very enjoyable. In addition, he has been able to answer all of our questions, providing more information and telling us curiosities. He has been very kind and has put a lot of effort into it. You can tell that he likes what he does and that he knows what he's talking about. He has also given us recommendations and advice about the city. Without a doubt, we would repeat with her. Thank you, Rachel!
The visit to the Roman theatre and the Alcazaba in Malaga was very well organized and the explanations that Raquel gave us at each point were very interesting, making the visit very enjoyable and that the two hours were spent flying
Over the last few years we have done many private tours of as many cities and we must say that Raquel has been one of the best guides we have found. Extensive knowledge, sympathy and closeness is what we have found. We did it privately, but, either as a group or as a private visit, if you go to Malaga, do not hesitate!!
A couple of weeks ago we made my partner and I a visit to Malaga Cathedral with Candi. The cathedral "la manquita" is spectacular, and more so with our guide, who explained all the history and curiosities. I would repeat without hesitation.
Raquel’s closeness and professionalism, mixing information and chacarrillos has made the visit a magnificent experience. The place is amazing. Recommended guide and visit. Essential.
I did not know Malaga, Raquel, the guide, has updated us on its history and the places we were meeting rigorously and enjoyably. Highly recommended.
It has been great experience, Raquel is very nice and very professional! The tour has become very enjoyable and time has passed fast. A great hit!! To repeat without a doubt.
We did two tours: Alcaza and theater Romano and Malaga Historical center. Both Raquel and Candy are fabulous guides. They give a lot of enthusiasm to what they do and they learn stories and anecdotes that make the city more appreciated. I'm so glad I found them and left with so much of Malaga and its history. I hope for the future I can come back and continue to tour and learn about Malaga with Top Tours. Highly recommended.
