Private Tour To La Alhambra De Granada From Malaga

This was one of our favorite days on a 19 day trip to Spain and Portugal. Our Driver Jesus was so helpful and informative on the drive to Alhambra. Once we got to Alhambra, we met our tour guide Amir. He spoke excellent English and was extremely informative regarding the site and it’s history. The architecture and engineering are truly amazing and I am so glad that we went. I could’ve spent even more time there than we did. At the end of the tour, we opted to go back to Malaga, our driver, Jesus, had agreed to give us a short tour of the city. He took us to several sites in the city and we were able to see how lovely Malaga was through his eyes. Overall, we got the best of both worlds we were able to see La Alhambra and get a locals perspective of the city of Malaga. I highly recommend this Tour.

Everything went as planned. Our guide, Sow, was so enthusiastic and anxious to make we enjoyed our experience fully.

the tour was very nice. The guide Pablo was remarkable, had complete knowledge of Alhambra. He explained everything in avery nice manner.

The driver had the wrong pickup time and was 30 min late. The return road trip was very bumpy, probably due to poor automobile shocks.

The drive was a great way to see the countryside around Malaga and our driver pointed out many interesting features. The Alhambra was amazing and our guide was great - we would have missed so much if we had been on our own.

The Private tour is pricey but it makes it possible to see more in one day than you would ever see with a group tour. For older folks in particular, the hotel pick up and VIP tour access make a difficult travel day with a fair amount of walking much less onerous.

Private driver and private guide at Alhambra is priceless!! My driver and guide were wonderful! This was the experience of a lifetime!

The guide very knowledgeable about history and architecture. He spoke excellent English and patiently answered questions. Most importantly, he dealt with unexpected events deftly. The Alhambra was closed for inspection when we arrived due to a 4.8 Richter earthquake the night before. The guide changed the itinerary quickly and kept in communication with the officials to get us through the Alhambra as soon as the inspection declared it safe. He didn't miss a beat!

This experience is very personal and was adapted to our interests and existing knowledge. The driver was very friendly and happy to chat. He made us feel very comfortable and let us relax during the drive. The tour guide Anis was very upbeat and knowledgeable. He was able to answer any questions and gave us the context of what we were seeing before the in-depth content. He covered all the basics of the wonderful area we were seeing but then provided information according to our interests. He showed some fabulous places to take photos and was happy to take some great photos of us.

Jose made sure we arrived at our destination safely and on time. The vehicle was air conditioned and we were provided with water. Sow was a wonderful tour guide. We were able to bypass any lines and he was very friendly and professional. We were impressed by his mastery of so many languages, extensive knowledge of history and storytelling which made the tour so enjoyable. I would highly recommend the private tour and specifically requesting these two gentleman. A very worthwhile trip!

The place was amazing with all the history and beautiful outdoor gardens. Our guide Amin made the day more special with his knowledge and did the special little things that we would have missed. The driver was friendly and took us around Malaga as well. A great day!

The tour is a long day and quite strenuous however these are smalll details that are more than dwarfed by the experience of the place. We enjoyed every moment from the pickup by a very kind and sympathetic driver,Jose. Our.guide Ahmed had an immense knowledge of the Alhambra and the history. We were very fortunate to have his guidance and sympathetic help to one of our group with walking difficulty

Pick up from Malaga was prompt and the trip to Granada was very smooth. The self-guided time in Granada was nice and we wiuld have liked a bit more time to explore, but the schedule is driven by ticket times at Alhambra. Richard, our tour guide for the Alhambra was great. he is a historian and doesn't just have a wealth of facts, but also an amazing talent for telling stories. The gardens and the interior were beautiful and the history fascinationg.

Abdul was knowledgeable, friendly and adjusted pace for us. He gave clear historical overview had insights into the Palace and Gardens and the town. He kindly gave a lunch recommendation at our request and it was outstanding!

Absolutely wonderful. Well organized. Our driver Pablo was not just a great driver but a joy to share the trip with. He was kind and thoughtful. Our guide at LaAlhambra was equally fabulous and also named Pablo. He was knowledgeable and presented the information with skill. Being a private tour we were able to easily make slight adjustments to the itinerary to fit our needs. We have done quite a few Viator tours as this is the best so far.

We had a good trip from Malaga to the Alhambra of Granada. Jonathan pick us up at our hotel at the appointed time and gave us a smooth ride. Our tour guide Richard gave us a tour which put the Alhambra into historical context and he pointed out interesting architectural details. He was able to distill down the complex history into something interesting for my teen sons. He also helped us find nice venues for the family pictures my wife wanted. It was a crowded time to visit but he was able to maneuver us through the site so that we felt relaxed.

Overall a great experience. Our driver was prompt, and our tour guide, Richard, was excellent. He gave us the big picture as well as the fascinating details of the Alhambra. The tour was never dull, and was the right amount of information and time. We came away with much more knowledge of Alhambra as well as southern Spain

We started our tour in MIjas with an on time pick-up. While a long day we had a very knowledgeable guide who was able to show us the massive complex with explanations, history and stories about each area. A very long day with information overload, but a great day.

Our driver from Malaga was prompt, friendly, and courteous. He pointed out sites of interest and provided information as we made our way to Alhambra. Upon arriving at Alhambra, we met our guide, Pablo. Pablo led us on a thorough tour of this marvelous site. He was well-spoken and conducted a well-paced excursion. The details that he shared were interesting, informative, and entertaining. It was enjoyable learning the history and evolution of the Alhambra. After our tour and a lunch in Granada, we had a relaxing drive back to Malaga, with our driver ensuring that we met our "on board" time.

Alhambra is not to be missed. Our guide Amine was outstanding !! Our driver punctual and helpful. Private is the way to go. Saves so much time to get out of the group scenario. You get to see so much more when your not part of a herd of 20

Highly recommended the trip! Eduardo, our driver, was excellent and very helpful. He went out of his way to make the day fantastic, including finding us stamps for our postcards. Pablo was our private guide for the Alhambra. Pablo was knowledgeable, interesting and friendly. He added so much detail given his history background. The private tour was worth the cost and the time to spend from our ship in Malaga. It’s a once in a lifetime experience.

We booked a day trip through tripadvisor/viator and loved it! The driver arrived on time. It was an early pick up because the drive from Malaga is about an hour and 45 minutes. It went by fast, because we all napped in the van on the way there. The Alhambra is so worth the day trip! we were glad we based ourselves in Malaga and didn't waste a night in Granada. The drive back and forth to Granada was easy, especially because someone else was driving.

Can not recommend something more. The car was at the hotel before time, new Mercedes van. Salvatore was so nice and the drive was very nice. Were were at Alhambra in time and Maria was waiting for us…. So informative and we skipped all the lines and we were done before the suspected time. Car came back to pick us up and we were dropped at Granada and given list of the good restaurants in the area. After lunch, the car was waiting at the meeting point and back to Malaga. Salvatore also gave us a list of things to do in Malaga which was very nice of him and the places he suggested were very nice. Perfect tour

Even though the distance from Malaga to Granada is long, the conversation both ways with Pablo made the trip not only short, but very enjoyable. He’s professional, humorous and right on time! The other Pablo who provided commentary for our Alhambra tour was professional and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend and worth the price!

This was a great tour. Knowledgeable guide and driver. Well worth the experience to visit the Alhambra. The gardens were fantastic and the palaces were beautiful.

Great day; private guide; picked us up in Marbella. We even arranged for an extra fee to have our driver pick us up and take us back to our hotel in Marbella instead of Malaga. Abdul our guide for the Alhambra was thorough and focused on our interests. The Generalife gardens were stunning. Our driver was Pedro and although didn’t speak English, he was great. He even gave us some extra time in Granada to shop and then drove us around a few neighborhoods before returning back. Highly recommend seeing the Alhambra Privately vs in a large group.

The driver was not very fluent in English so the ride from Malaga port to the Alhambra was not enlightening. We weren’t quite sure what was going to happen when we got there. When we got out the car, we thought she was just dropping us off there. It took a bit of work at the communication for her to let us know the tour guide was going to come out and meet us where she parked. Once we were with the tour guide, the tour was superior. He was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and he was very thorough. We were six in our group, and we all agreed that it was absolutely wonderful. When the driver picked us up afterwards to bring us to Granada, she was a little more talkative and was able to direct us to the area of cafés. She picked us up on time.
