Private Málaga Treasure Hunt With Gps & Local Host

This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We did the tour with our three children aged 7 to 12 and the all loved it. They were busy with the GPS and we got to look at the city. Our guide, Nefer, couldn't have been any more helpful. It was lovely to be able to do the whole thing at our own pace. We'd highly recommend this tour, worth every cent. Definitely a highlight of our holiday.

The hunt itself was lackluster and so difficult in areas where neither our group or others could figure it out. One stop asked us to figure out clues behind a seated table in a restaurant. Tim was incredibly condescending to both us and the other family. His abrupt comments to my autistic son created a problem from the start. This was all so unprofessional.

The Private Sightseeing Treasure Hunt was by far one of our favorite things we did while in Spain. We had a group of 6 ranging in age from 9 to 72, and everyone really enjoyed it. We felt like we got to see a lot of the city that we would not have seen had we just explored on our own. The clues and tasks were fun and made us think. It took us about 3 hours total, and we probably walked about 3 miles.

Tim was patient and very friendly with our group. We were a large group of 11 people that wanted to try something a little different than your typical walking tour. We learned a lot about Malaga and had some group tasks that challenged our team!

The sight-seeing treasure hunt was a great way to discover the attractions of Malaga - a beautiful place with a fascinating history. Tim was a lovely and kind meeter/greeter/instructor who also gave us tips on where to eat etc. I thought our kids (9 & 12 yo) might get bored or frustrated with the tour, but they loved it and got right into it. This is a really clever and fun tour idea! There was even a lovely gift at the end of the tour.

This was our favorite tour we've been on -- the organization was flawless, Tim was extremely friendly + helpful, and we saw things we never would have found on our own. We particularly liked the recommendations along the way for local foods + interesting information. Would highly recommend to any group looking to see more of Malaga, thanks all for a great time!

It was sooo fun!! All the care and preparation from the organizers made it a truly great day and the best way to get an intro to the city 💗 I went back the next day to explore more points of interest from the hunt!

What a brilliant mornings entertainment. Tim was first class setting us up and explaining the treasure hunt rules. We set off just after 10.00am and my 13 year old was in charge of the GPS for the whole route. A brilliant way to see the sites and find your way around the historic centre of Malaga. My son absolutely loved it. We would highly recommend this for families and/or couples. Well done Tim and Matthias. Superb.

A really good way to see Malaga! Exciting and interesting! A fantastic afternoon activity! We were a group of 16! Put into smaller groups and everyone had a real adventure! Well organised! Can highly recommend even if you’ve been in Malaga before!!

This was a fantastic way to see Mâlaga. It was fun and adventurous! Tim was beyond fabulous in explaining our treasure hunting. This is a “must do”. We did it as a couple, but a whole family could do it. Don’t think twice. Amazing bang for your buck!

What a unique and fun experience. We saw so much of Malaga while enjoying a treasure hunt. Using a provide GPS we went to about 9 different stations where we had to solve clues. They were so clever and easy (if you read the clue correctly). Each stop also had a description of what you were seeing along the walk and some history. If you watch the Amazing Race, enjoy puzzles or just want something different this is it - the most innovative tour we did in Europe and we loved it. WARNING: don't forget to look around at all the architecture, history, etc. as you are walking to the next clue.

What a wonderful way to experience Malaga! This fund adventure walking tour took us to places we would never have found. From the narrow side alleys to the garden wall. I highly recommend to a one interested in getting off the typical sightseeing route. Very fun!

The treasure hunt through Malaga is an unforgettable experience and a must-do for every visitor to Malaga. The tour takes you not only to well-known places in Malaga, but also to more secret corners. Fun is in the first place and along the way you learn interesting and curious things about this great city. Matthias and his colleagues are absolutely passionate about what they do. The treasure hunt was such a fun concept to explore and walk around Málaga. Matias, the operator/owner is very friendly and engaging. He gives you everything you’ll need to solve the mystery at the meeting point—including his phone number in case you get lost (you won’t!). My husband read the compass while I read each of the clues. This is the PERFECT way to tour a small city!! Loved it!! - reasonable cost - done at your own pace, no rushing along or being unable to stop for food, drink, etc. - no being guided to a "special shop" by the guide - see places in the city you wouldn't find on your own, Malaga has lots of beautiful little spots - the puzzles were fun Would definitely recommend for anyone. We will be doing more tours like this

Great fun walking round Malaga doing the treasure. Kept me 15yr old entertained whilst we got out steps in Very well organised and worth the money to do. Mathias was a fab guide and let us see bits of Malaga we might have missed. Highly recommend

We take our time and do lunch and coffees whilst discovering a Malaga we often walk by without noticing all our surroundings. I did Murder mystery game and it was awesome. Great clues, great props, nice walk around the city, great host and awesome experience overall. I did some treasure hunting/escape rooms before and i would highly recommend this one.

We had a wonderful Time discovering the real Malaga. Our guide was very kind and flexible. Our 6 years old child had enjoyed the aventure so much and it was very funny to solve the questions with him. I strongly recommend this activity for everyone who want to have fun while discovering Malaga

It’s not about ‘following the guide amidst a group’; it’s guided by a gps at your own speed in your own way, walking from spot to spot and decoding the clues hidden in everyone of them in order to find the treasure - and it’s a cool treasure for sure! Really nice way to explore the city! It takes you places where you wouldn't normally go as some parts are more off the tourist track. The treasure hunt was fun and lightly challenging. Especially finding your way by gps was fun! Also, the booklet we got for the hunt gave some more background information on the city and different stops which was really nice.

We completed this treasure hunt earlier today. As a family with 2 youngish kids (5 & 7) we often want to walk to see the sights but the kids are not so keen. This was ideal for us as it kept them engaged. Some of the clues were easier than others so it meant it was a team effort. We were able to go at our own pace and stoped for churros on the way. Would thoroughly recommend.

Great information in advance, wonderful guide, fun stops and just a great experience :-) Loved that the route made it possible to stop at nice places, also for food.

We were met by Benny who clearly explained the concept of the hunt and armed us with our gps and bag of equipment! There’s no rush to complete the self guided tour, we stopped for a drink half way. The guidebook gives interesting facts and history as you wander around the streets of Old Town Malaga, Benny popped up a couple of times along the way, and we met him at the end when we discovered our treasure trove! A fun way to spend a few hours in Malaga, taking you tomolaces you probably wouldn’t come across or realise what they were.

As an adult couple we enjoyed this. If you're looking for a way to see Malaga that's a little different this is a great option. It takes in all the major sights but also a couple of more unusual and interesting places that we definitely wouldn't have found ourselves at without the tour. It's self-guided for the most part, and although there is a little guidebook provided giving a bit of history at each destination it's not super detailed, so if you're really looking for that other options might be better. What it did have was some nice personal touches like recommended activities and restaurants, etc at each stop, and was just generally fun and something a little different. We had a couple of interactions with Benny who was very friendly and helpful. You can book in advance via an email form and pay in cash of via PayPal - all very easy and they communicated well. And the treasure at the end??? Well, let me just ask you if you've ever seen Reservoir Dogs...

It was a great way to see the beautiful old town of Malaga and get our bearings. Having a 2 year old we really liked that the tour is self-guided allowing you to do it at your own pace. It's probably an hour to an hour and a half of walking but with stops to solve puzzles, get ice cream, drag toddler along the shiny pavements this will add to that. Mattias has put together a great tour with lots of thoughtful touches and personal recommendations from him and his wife. I'd recommend it to everyone but feel like older children would get the most out of using the sat nav and solving the puzzles. We really enjoyed it. Thank you Mattias.

We had a great time! It was planned to the very last detail - very creative! It was a nice trip around the city where we got to see some things we wouldn’t have otherwise. Big recommendation from us!

It was a great experience to do this in the City of Malaga! You see a lot of the city and for adults and especially kids it is fun to look for the clues with the GPS! I would highly recommend this for everyone to book it. The staff who are in charge of City Adventures is very friendly and help you through this quest with a big smile! Big compliment for them! Very creative way to discover the city! The guide Mattia gave us various props and information to carry out the treasure hunt. It was fun and challenging but not too hard for me and my friends who had a late one the previous evening. Highly recommend!
