Really good tour and tasting, very informative. And as for the architecture, that alone was worth the visit

The Almazara is an architectural marvel, the grounds are gorgeous & Eileen, our tour guide, was professional, knowledgeable & friendly. Tasting was superb & a delicious lunch on suspended terrazza was delightful.
An excellent guide of the facilities from looking at the olive trees to understanding the process and history of olive oil production. All in a unique building with a nice lunch on the terrace afterwards with a fab view!
We visited La Almazara one afternoon around lunchtime and had a fantastic experience. The place itself is truly impressive, and Philippe Starck’s extraordinary architecture makes a huge impact from the moment you arrive. The combination of the striking design and the beautiful location surrounded by the Spanish countryside is something very special. You can explore with an audio guide on your phone, although we preferred simply walking around and experiencing the place at our own pace. Afterwards, we enjoyed a glass of wine on the beautifully designed terrace overlooking the valley – a perfect way to end the visit. Definitely worth a visit if you have an afternoon to spare while in Ronda!
Amazing experience. Beautiful country side near Ronda. A unique experience. Optional lunch was Michelin Star quality.
What an amazing building and location! You need to lay to enter whether you do the tour or not, but to us it was well worth it, we did the audio guide and found it really interesting, LOVED the building which is like an art installation. Location and views are great. Agree with other reviewers, the girl in the shop was the most helpful staff member.
This is an excellent tour. Simon, our guide, was brilliant. He was so informative and interesting and had a great sense of humour. He made the tour very enjoyable. The tasting at the end was also good.
DO NOT BOTHER, tour guide was very nice, but very rushed, half is Spanish for 2 people, 25 english speaking people on the tour, it was ridiculous to waste so much time with 2 Spanish speaking people, this is all known when people sign up for the tour. We were supposed to get a tour of the orchard where the olive trees and fields were, that did not happen. There was a BMW event going on at the same time, the restaurant was closed, even though it was not listed or told to us when we booked, we really wasted most of our day going here and were very disappointed, for 50 Euros we really felt ripped off (badly)
It was a great visit, our guide was very professional and could explain everyting in good english and simple enough for us laymans to understand :). The place is in a fantastic location and is so well structured. A beautiful site. Recommend the visit!
What a fascinating tour. This location is a very modern olive oil tasting location - a combination of art and nature - an organic farm. Our tour consisted of both English and Spanish speakers, so our guide gave the tour in both languages. She was quite knowledgeable about the olive oil growing, harvesting and processing as well as the artistic elements on the property. After touring the grounds and the facility, including the museum on the 2nd floor, we had our tasting. We had a blind tasting of 2 oils and then were able to taste 3 oils with bread and vinegar. After, you could spend as much time as you wanted going back to the museum, shopping for oil or enjoying some wine and snacks and enjoy the view from the patio. A wonderful way to spend the morning.
Excellent tour and guide. Interesting history of the sight and olive production, the museum and building are stunning. Fantastic photo opportunities take your camera. The guide was also very knowledgeable and informative
Very cool tour. Interesting and very cool location, groves, facility, and architecture. The only complaint is that they use one guide to do both English and Spanish so the tour is twice as long as it should be and half of the time you're standing around listening to a repeat in another language. They can afford a guide for each.
Amazing building inside and out, really enjoyed the tour very informative with oil tasting at the end well worth a visit if you are near Ronda add it to you list!
Booked and paid for english tour and tasting for 90 minutes and we got half english and half spanish tour however lasting one hour and half the same (I ask to myself what if it was only one language tour how many information we would received in the same time), about fourty people and guide requesting us to don’t ask question during tour in order to finish in one hour and half and her apologises. Maybe it would be proportional to pay half? Worst part: “oil mill” is incredibly small and so old technology (and so dirty) that I could buy a bigger one for my self ( everything stay in one room). Even worst: after visiting Picualia and Oleicola Jaen and tasting their oils, LA ORGANIC oil selection is bad for me, they also pretended persons to taste their cooking oil…. No sense… a vinegar also… and their “premium selection” that tasted old greasy but with anomalous intense tomato taste (you normaly have this taste on fresh and fruity good evo oils) and the guide repetely asked “do you recognize tomato? Do you recignize tomato?”….mmmm….I never tasted so strange oil. At the end I think it is only a tourist trap for profane of the olive oil. Is it possible to have a refound for half the price for half tour in spanish?
Great experience! Beautiful terrace with tasty snacks and amazing olive oil shop! Looking forward to returning to it!
Great experience! Beautiful grounds. We were about 2 months before harvest season but still worth the visit. The tasting was great, sampling of all 4 of the EVOO and the vinegar
Beautiful place and tasting was amazing. Wonderful experience. I would highly recommend as an activity.
Beautiful grounds, great parking and a very interesting building with a spectacular view. Interior is very dark and tour is just walking around a museum style exhibit. Information displayed is interesting and we learnt a lot but not as engaging as other olive oil mills we have visited. The tasting is where things go really downhill. Staff were disorganised and did not smile. Asked to sit in the dark with a little red cup and four oils to taste (from the same cup). You can't see the colour of the oils and it is almost impossible to drain the cup to taste the next oil so you end up blending them and not tasting the difference between them. Whole experience feels mean and lazy. We asked to move outside to the stunning terrace (it is covered). We paid for a bottle of wine and bread and finally managed to taste the oils properly. This could be an amazing experience but for what is meant to be one of the top oil producers in Spain this is a big disappointment. The owners should be more generous with the offer and think more about the customer experience.
Good tour and very interesting. Would recommend booking through the website of the olive oil company for a discount on purchase of olive oils.
Overall an amazing experience to learn the process of making olive oil. From the harvesting in the groves all the way through the bottling in the plant. Guide had exceptional knowledge and took time to answer all questions.
Beautiful views, interesting architecture, and learned a lot about olive oil! I’d recommend the earlier tour to avoid the heat, with half of the tour being outside.
Our guide was very friendly and seemed well informed. It was well worth visiting here and taking the tour.
If you are considering doing business with this company, please take note of my personal experience. Please do not do business with them. They are complete time wasters. Eight months of discussion for a 'can't afford it' decision, only four weeks before the planned commencement date. Simply dreadful.
This was the highlight of our Spain trip. I very much enjoyed visiting the olive oil farm. Our tour guide was very informative and I loved the history of the farm and building. I am very interested in architecture and the main building was very well thought out to tell the history of Ronda and the area. We had an olive oil tasting after our tour followed by lunch and wine.
Lovely and informative tour. Some walking indoors and outdoors . I wear a prosthetic leg and was still able to do this (with aide of a walking stick for a few steep inclines) The woman who gave the tour spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable. We also had a lovely light lunch at the cafe.
We had barely entered the building when we were warmly greeted by a very pleasant gentleman who I later found out was the site manager , Andres, The ambience was one of calmness and simplicity, Our tour was led by another Andres whose quiet and patient manner matched the tranquil surroundings. The tour and tasting were a most lovely way to spend a few hours and after the tour we relaxed on their terrace with a few very modestly priced glasses of Rioja and of course some olives . In a world that often feels that it is going mad, this was a joyous experience. Thank you all,
The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed walking around to see all the views but it was disappointing that there was no production going on and we didn't get to see most of the equipment that was below where we were sitting. Also, I didn't get why the "museum" part downstairs was so dark. It made it really hard to walk around since it was almost too dark to see where you were going ad the darkness did not add anything to the ambiance of the museum.
Beautiful olive groves, knowledgeable guide and very interesting museum. We had a very relaxing afternoon. We ate at the café and enjoyed the local and fresh ingredients. Highly recommended.
Hm. Whilst it was nice to find something outside of Rhonda to do and visiting an olive oil farm is a fantasy of most Brits, this is very new and there is very little there yet. Note that you cannot see the starke Museum thing without buying a ticket for the whole tour as this is a private enterprise. The guide could doeith better English, the facts you actually learn about olives are disappointingly few especially given the fact that we were rushed through the museum bit and it’s so dark in there you can hardly see anything! The olive oil tasting was two little plastic cups and we had to decide which of the two was more aromatic - tiny bits of bread very ungenerous. A note to the owners. You are missing a huge opportunity here to provide more and better food and to increase your merchandise by selling olive oil products like hand soap and bath gels people are there to buy and you have essentially four different bottles of olive oil in the whole place.
We learned so much and really enjoyed our tour of the olive oil mill and the beautiful bull inspired building and grounds that surround it. The olive oil tasting was great and educational. We would highly recommend this tour!
Alina was a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide who provide great insight into the world of olive oil and the project at LA Organic. A beautiful place to spend a day in the stunning landscape of Ronda and its olive groves!
We absolutely loved our visit here this week. The museum is a stunning piece of architecture designed by Philippe Starck. Amazing! Loved the lower floor with its kitchen and eating area (sadly not yet open) but would make a superb party/wedding venue. The olive oil tasting itself was very enjoyable and we learnt a lot about the process of making organic EVOO. Loved it all!
Amazing building. Great to taste different oils and have them explained. Guide could have been louder and clearer in his instructions. Whilst tasting oils there were some loud groups eating which made it difficult to hear.
We had a remarkable day looking at and studying everything Olives, the set up is fantastic and the grounds are stunning along with the futuristic building . We stayed for the food after and it although simple it was simply delicious. We have came away a little wiser about what Oil we buy when we are next in the supermarket shop Highly recommend this trip to anyone
Very interesting visit - guide was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of interesting information The tasting was very interesting and I learned a lot about the different types of olive oil
Short one hour 15 min tour and walk round the grounds . Interesting , value for money . Good products . Be better when be facility is complete
When enter the Greenhouse/Shop/Tasting room, we watched a short presentation video in Spanish with English subtitles. It was informative and short. This was fallowed by a tour (ours was in English & Spanish as one of our party only spoke Spanish) of the gardens and olive groves. It was explained to us that they are completely organic and also grow a variety of plants and herbs to attract bees & pollinators. It was quite warm so the outdoor portion wasn’t too long. We were also shown a room that had small processing machines to show us what the modern way of processing & filtering is done. Afterwards we were taken back to the tasting area where we learned how to taste several different types of olive oil. There is also the ability to purchase different meats and cheeses, plus their delicious products. It is well worth the experience while visiting Ronda, which is an amazingly beautiful Andalusian city.
Tour was very nice and grounds were beautiful . Would have been better if there was a demonstration or a video of the production. Tasting was very informative and delicious.
We stumbled on this little gem on our way to Ronda. Very friendly staff even of we did not take the full tour. Bought a few bottles because they taste sooooo good!
This was an interesting and enjoyable change of activity from the standard tourist destinations. It's only possible to get there by Taxi (€18 each way) or self drive as there is no public transport service. The staff were very friendly and efficient with their attitude and presentation. There was a short video followed by a walk around the various close olive groves. The guide stopped to explain the growing methods and production processes as we reached each point of interest and answered questions from the visitors. At the end of the tour there is a tasting opportunity. This was carried out by the tour guide with explanations about each oil we tried, similar to a wine tasting, and how it could be used. There is the opportunity to purchase drinks and food there as they have an outdoor veranda and restaurant area. There is a new restaurant/production/presentation building under construction within the grounds that they are excited to open to the public in the coming months. I would say I didn't feel it was suitable for someone with accessibility issues or a slow walker as we were encouraged to keep up with the group to hear the explanations and the paths were up and down slopes of rough gravel. Overall a very interesting, informative hour of something very different from the expected to see in Ronda.
Beautiful landscape & very interesting presentation and great olive oil tasting. I highly recommend it to better know the production process
The tour was excellent. Amazing information and great guide (Ursula). The site is wonderful and we learnt lots. We would definitely recommend this to all!
It was a very windy day, but we enjoyed walking around the orchard, learning about olive trees, how they maintain the orchard, and how olive oil is made. The tasting included 3-4 different kinds of olive oil, both with and without bread. It was interesting to taste the difference! Great view of the valley and mountain range, too.
The grounds and facilities at LA Organic are stunning! My family and I really loved the opportunity to tour and learn about olives and olive oil production. What a great opportunity! We took advantage of staying for lunch following the tour and it was delicious. Highly recommend!
Had a delay, but the team at LA Organic were incredibly accommodating and gave us the option to arrive late or change our tour time. We saw the beautiful groves and learned the history of the site, the company and olive oil manufacture. Not to mention the opportunity to taste and buy some amazing olive oil as well as the other amazing range of products available in the shop! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience...
Really interesting place, fantastic olive oil. A great day trip while in the Andalusia. We went there because we wanted to taste great olive oil and see how it is made. We were not disappointed.
Delightful place; thoughtful, delightful staff. Enjoyed learning about olive oil growing & production. Worthwhile tour!
The guide was very engaging and knowledgeable. This was truly a unique experience! Great tour for all!
This tour was better than we expected. The property is beautiful with great views. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions. We learned alit about the various processes that can be used and how they affect the quality. The tasting of the extra virgin oils of varying intensity was eye opening. A great tour.
Wonderful tour guide who was very knowledgeable and humorous. We learned about olive tree cultivation, harvest, cleaning, and milling. Then we learned about tasting.
