Such a good day out. Emotions by lou was a good company to use. Juan and Virginia were excellent. Juan really bought the destinations alive.

Itinerary
After a 1-hour trip we begin the tour with the famous caves of Nerja where we will enjoy a 45-minute walk through a cave that is in turn a historical heritage of Spain, it is the cave in the world that has more artistic manifestations and prehistoric symbols.
Frigiliana is known for being the town of the three cultures because at the end of the 15th century the three most important cultures (Christian, Jewish and Muslim) coexisted. Today you will see its Moorish past while you walk through its alleys of white houses and taste its delicious sweet wine!
Built since 1487, narrow streets and white houses make up the Historic Center of Nerja, where we will enjoy 1 hour and a half free to eat and buy the perfect souvenir!
The Balcón de Europa is that beautiful viewpoint located in the center of Nerja. One of the most famous places in Andalusia. An idyllic place to take a panoramic photograph of the Mediterranean Sea, of the places where the famous series "Verano Azul" was filmed or to pose next to the cannons from the time when it was the surveillance and defensive point from which it was sighted if you were Enemies were approaching from North Africa.

We had a great time on the trip. Juan was an excellent guide and very experienced and shared a great deal of information. Virgina the driver was excellent on the narrow roads. Juan guided us around with enthusiasm, he wanted to share the information on thr area. An excellent day.
The tour operator emotions by loud gave clear instructions with pick up and both thr guide atye driver were excellent. All the places we stopped at were excellent with Juan being most helpful while there. The commentry while travelling to places was also informative. Thank you.
Amazing experience with Juan and Virginia. Great management of time and we got to see the highlights plus sample a drink of local wine. Highly recommend!
We loved everything about Nerja and Frigliana ! Our guide Juan was awesome and Virginia the driver was impressive driving that big bus. Highly recommend
It was well planned and well executed. The driver, Virginia, was amazing as she demonstrated her skills in the very narrow roads toward Frigiliana. All three sites hit were well worth the time. Bit of advice though - the terrain may be physically demanding to especially the elderly. Mom managed it eventually, but not without apprehension.
Caves were very interesting, but staff when coming out and didn’t purchase photos were very very rude, just because we didn’t buy any photos they couldn’t be more rude if they tried. Not acceptable. Definitely will not be going back
Tour was great and as accommodating as possible. We traveled with an 89 year old and they were able to do about half of it due to mobility. There were places for her sit and the tour guide was incredibly helpful. Overall, great experience!
The tour was good and the price was reasonable. Be prepared to climb lots of stairs. I would recommend it.
Booked directly off caves website for just caves tour and VR experience. Cheaper online. You have to pay for car park although there is a free one outside but was already full by 10am . Caves is well done and very beautiful. Download thr app so you can listen to tour in Spanish or English. There is a gift shop and lovely cafe with amazing views of coast. The VR experience is included in ticket and was good too. Well worth a visit. Takes a morning all in all.
It was an amazing experience! The pick up was quick and seemless, our guide, Juan, was fantastic!!! Funny, warm and so helpful, I loved the way he presented all the information, I learned a lot! Would absolutely recommend to anyone!!!
Our guide and the driver were really good. The length of time at Frigiliana and the Nerja caves was perfect. We would have love to stay longer in Nerja to have more time to swim but overall great day.
A relaxed tour with not too much walking.
It is a great way to visit 3 different places. Short trip from Malaga to Frigiliana (40 minutes) and then to the Caves and Nerja.
Great experience, well organized for our group of 8 “chicas”! Our tour guide Juan was very helpful ready to answer with smile.
Loved every minute of it. Guide was spectacular
Interesting visit to the caves complemented by the visit to the Museum of Nerja. Enjoy the walk in Frigiliana. The guide provided information about the area and towns visited.
Highly recommend. Tour guide very knowledgable and very organized .. tomeing of the towns was good also and he reccoended nice Restuarant’s and gave you time to explore .. great experience .. our tour guide was Juan
Overall a great tour. Pickup was on time and bus was modern and comfortable. Virginia our driver was excellent and our tour guide Juan was highly informed and simply a beautiful person. Cave was incredible, Frigiliana is one of the most beautiful villages around, and Nerja and the ocean/beach views, simply outstanding. There are a lot of steps to be taken in the cave and Frigiliana but the pace is slow and no one is in a hurry. It’s a full day but well worth the time and effort.
Our tour was done in reverse order of what was detailed, but that worked well as we went to busy sites ahead of the crowds. My advice: let them run their tour. They know what they are doing and you will still get all your experiences in. The Nerja Caves were an outstanding excursion. Such a surprise on our beach vacation. Do not miss the VR movie experience in addition to the caves. Super cool and so well done.
An Unforgettable Day with Emotions by Lu — Nerja Caves, Nerja Town & Frigiliana Some travel days simply hit different — and my tour with Emotions by Lu was one of those rare, golden days that stays with you long after you’re back home. But before anything else, a massive shout‑out to our phenomenal guide Wong and our superstar driver Virginia. These two didn’t just run a tour — they created an experience. ⭐ A Rocky Start That Turned Into a Perfect Day After a tiny bit of confusion at the pick‑up point, everything fell beautifully into place. The pick‑up itself was right on time, and the moment Wong and Virginia greeted us with their bright, positive energy, we knew we were in for something special. Wong is the kind of guide every traveler dreams of: • Effortlessly knowledgeable • Warm, funny, and attentive • Able to turn every passing landmark into a story • And somehow making a full-day tour feel like a breeze He didn’t just guide us through Frigiliana, Nerja Town, and the Nerja Caves — he gave us the history, the culture, the legends, and the hidden gems along the way. Everyone felt comfortable, included, and genuinely cared for. (Small word of caution: this tour includes steep climbs, so it may not be ideal for those with mobility or health issues.) --- 🏡 Frigiliana — The Whitewashed Gem of Costa del Sol If you’re anywhere near Costa del Sol, Frigiliana is a must. It’s the kind of village that looks like it was designed for postcards — whitewashed houses, narrow cobbled streets, bursts of bougainvillea, and endless viewpoints. Insider tip: Arrive before 10:30 AM. After 11:00, the tour buses roll in and the charm gets swallowed by crowds. Early morning is when the village truly shines. We wandered through its maze-like alleys, soaked in the views, and even enjoyed a glass of local sweet wine paired with cheese overlooking the village. Honestly, that moment alone felt like the perfect travel movie scene. And here’s a bold but true statement: If you want the beauty of Santorini without the hype, the crowds, or the price tag — Frigiliana is your answer. --- 🌌 Nerja Caves — A Natural Wonder in Every Sense The Nerja Caves are nothing short of jaw‑dropping. One of the kids on our tour said it should be listed among the natural wonders of the world — and honestly, I agree. They’re enormous, beautifully preserved, and full of geological drama. The 3D Virtual Reality experience added a whole new layer, showing how these caves formed centuries ago. It was immersive, educational, and genuinely fascinating. If you love nature, history, or simply being amazed — this is unmissable. --- 🌊 Nerja Town — Cliffside Charm on the Mediterranean Nerja is a sweet little coastal town perched on cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean. Think: • Crystal‑clear blue water • Small beaches • Scenic viewpoints everywhere you turn If you’re planning to swim or stop for lunch, you could easily spend hours here. If not, it’s still a lovely quick stop to breathe in the sea air and snap some gorgeous photos. --- 🌟 Final Thoughts This tour was fantastic from start to finish. The destinations were beautiful, the pacing was perfect, and Wong and Virginia elevated the entire experience with their warmth, professionalism, and passion. I genuinely can’t recommend Emotions by Lu enough. If anything, I hope they add even more tours — because with a team like this, I’d sign up again in a heartbeat.
Fantastic visit. Amazing caves and good value for money at 13 Euro.
If you’re visiting Malaga Spain You Must Vist the caves in Nerja. Upon entering the caves I thought I was on Mars. You could never image a place would exist on earth. The story behind how the caves were discovered is amazing. Our tour guide ( unfortunately did not get his name) was excellent. One big disappointment was our pick up time was advanced by a half hour and I was never informed. 9 am was changed to 8:30 am. Need less to say when I got the call asking if I was coming I was very surprised. Many other people on our tour received text/ email but I did not. It cost me an additional 40.00 euros for a taxi to caught the next pick up stop. My cab driver was very helpful, he convinced the bus driver to meet at a road leading out of the city. My ticket was for two and I paid for 2, but the info the tour guide and bus driver had was for 1. Thank goodness I had my ticket indicating 2 tickets were purchased. The field personnel were excellent, it was the administers that were in error. No apologize was ever issued nor was I reembusted my taxi fare.
Caves were a must see ,the age of the cave and the beauty was breathtaking. The town of Frigiliana on the hillside with its beautiful hillside views ,narrow streets, lovely shops and tapas bars a place you could spend hours . We only got to spend an hour there. Nerja also a must see with it seaside coastline ,beautiful setting another place well worth to see. We only got to spend two hours there. Only downside we wish we had an extra hour in each time town.
The experience was worth the trip. The caves are amazing, the town of Frigliana is beautiful, and we were able to walk down to the water and soak our feet in the Mediteranean. I do think the description should warn about the many stairs in the caves and it was disappointing that three of the rooms were closed. However, the virtual experience made up for it.
Tu places everybody have to see in Malaga. Nerja caves , city and Frigliana so beautifull. The tour was organized very well. Thank You
Maybe it depends on the time of year but we were brought to the white town and nothing was open and no guidance. So an hour of just walking. The caves were nice but then bright to place for tapas with no direction so took too long to find a place to eat and no time to shop.
Frigiliana and Nerja were more than impressive !! The Cave was astonishing and the cinema was super emotional !!
Excellent day trip but slightly disappointed that it began an hour earlier than expected. 8am was a bit too early when on holiday. Went to Frigiliana first. Lovely mountain village. Got there first before all the other coaches descended upon the village. Got lost walking back to the coach. Then onto the caves. Nothing less than spectacular. By themselves they would have been worth the excursion. Lastly lunch and free time in Nerja. Lovely seaside resort and well worth a visit. All in all an excellent day trip and well worth the money
Our guide was nice and friendly and the day was pleasurable. Recommend for large group audio with earbuds so people not close to guide can ear what the guide and saying. Also would recommend the guide carries a flag of some sort so people at the back of the group can see where he is easily.
Excellent air conditioned bus, Frigilina and the caves were fantastic, most interesting was cave virtual tour. Very compact and well organized tour and great thanks to our guide!
Just be aware that they say the pick up is included, it asks where you stay; once you purchase it, you get an email about the pickup location that can be 20-30 minutes away from where you stay!!
It was a very hot day - we got to see very nice villages -with good sweet wine tasting. The caves were hard to do-need to be in good health and not afraid of dark not much lighting in there . Nerja was my favourite of all the tour - wish had more time there !
Great day out. The village of Frigiliana was beautiful, as was the short visit round Nerja. But they saved best for last with the magnificent caves, truly spectacular. Highly recommended.
Our tour guide was fantastic at explaining different important details throughout the tour. And the driver drove very safe. All of the sights were beautiful!
This excursion was great, we couldn’t fault it. We were a little worried at first as we had our location changed after selecting our hotel but it was fully down to us booking the trip the day before and they had set out their pick up route already. We were picked up on time, the tour guide was very comedic, we visited the caves which was incredible and then went to the white wash city which was picturesque and beautiful. In this city we had sweet wine and were given either cheese or chorizo (delicious). After walking back to the coach, we went to our last stop and had nearly 2 hours free time which allowed us to do our own thing and grab a bite to eat. This was a day well spent. Thank you Excursions by Lu!
Oh my what a beautiful day! All 3 destinations were gems. The time allowance for the Nerja caves and Nerja town was just right. However, it would have been lovely if the operator allowed more time in Frigiliana, at least 30 minutes more. Overall a nicely curated tour and good value. Prepare for the beauty of Spain! One important thing for travelers to note is the discrepancy of the meeting point. Both My ticket and confirmation email said pick up at Hotel Colon but I received a message from the operator to be picked up at a bus station instead. I had to send a message the morning of the tour to clarify which one.
This is a great tour! Our tour guide was excellent- friendly, eager to share Information about what we were seeing and experiencing and happy to answer questions. Tour offers the option to confirm a pick up point or do it later. Recommended finalizing pick up before booking.
What brings this rating down is our guide, Tony. He wanted to be helpful, but his English was next to non-existent. We resorted to google translate to ask him questions in order for him to understand us. Unfortunately, he did not do the same when responding. We got next to nothing from his descriptions of the area and sites. The cave was very interesting as was the view in Nerja. Be prepared to climb (100+ steps, at least) and inclines.
Figlianna is beautiful. The visit to the Balcony of Europe in Nerja was amazing. But the guide was horrible. His performance spoiled the whole trip. It was his first day on this job. He could not speak English well at all. There were 22 of us on the bus. 20 of us spoke only English. When he spoke to us, he spoke first in Spanish then in English. We did not understand anything he said. We were asking each other, “what did he say?” When we got to each stop, no one understood his directions. He never took a head count, so we had to tell him if someone was not on the bus. At the first stop we almost left someone because they didn’t understand his instructions. When we were in Nerja, we walked a long way to get to the Balcony of Europe. Before we took started the walk, he said something to us. We couldn’t understand him. He did not care. He just started walking. We followed, not knowing where we were going. When we were at the Balcony of Europe he approached me and said something. I understood him to say to meet him at this spot at 1:45. I repeated “here at 1:45?” He said yes. I guess I didn’t understand him or he didn’t understand me because he was not there at 1:45. At 2:00 I started walking back to where I thought the bus was. They left me. I sent an email to to tour operator saying I was lost and asked for his phone number. I called the number twice and did not get an answer. Then the tour operator sent me an email saying to take a taxi to the next stop. I did. When I met up with the group they told me that he did not even realize that I was not on the bus. When the bus started to leave, people said wait we are missing someone. He told them he would call me. He did not. I checked. I don’t have any missed calls. One lady said she contacted the company on my behalf and they told her it was his first day. I blame the company for not preparing him better and for not sending someone with him on his first day. He is responsible for the people on the bus started several times he was consulting the driver. He knows his English is not good enough for us to understand him. HE should use a translator app. With such a large group, he could have made a WhatsApp group with our phone numbers to communicate with him or at least given us his phone number. This tour company should do better.
Excellent day out. Really enjoyed the day spent with my sisters. The 3 dimensional experience was amazing
We were promptly picked up from our hotel and after one further pick up we were on our way to Frigiliana. Frigiliana was absolutely beautiful and my only complaint is that rather than lunch in Nerja I would have loved some free time in Frigiliana to walk around and explore the restaurants there. The Nerja caves were very interesting and an experience not to be missed! Our driver was very professional and Antonia our guide was very knowledgeable and even pointed out other landmarks as we drove to our hotel to give us even more information. A great trip that I would highly recommend
Highly recommended trip to Nerja and the caves in frigiliana . Whether you visit malaga with your couple , friends or family this trip with Emotions by lu is a A MUST ! They are very professional and friendly. Definitely i will chose Emotions by LU over and over again ! Amazing trip !
Wonderful Family Excursion to Nerja and Frigiliana Our family had an amazing day visiting Nerja and Frigiliana! In Frigiliana, we loved walking through the charming, whitewashed streets filled with colorful flowers and stunning views. It was so peaceful and picturesque. In Nerja, the Balcony of Europe offered breathtaking views of the sea, and the Nerja Caves were incredible to explore – truly a natural wonder! We ended the day with delicious Lunch in a restaurant at the beach. It was a perfect mix of culture, history, and beauty. Highly recommended for a family outing!
A few hours before the start of the tour the operator cancelled that and postponed it a week later. Impossible to join if you are just a few days in Andalusia... I decided then to go with public bus transport to Nerja caves - very easy to do that! From Nerja to Frigiliana there is also a public bus, bot from another company. Else, you can use a taxi which is not expensive for only a few kilometres. Nerja caves and Frigiliana is absolutely worth to see! Until now no refund...
Antonia was great with the tour. However the direction of the meeting place was not clear. It should include the landmark or cross street on the direction where to be pick up. The direction I received was Avenida de Andalusia 10 bus stop. The Avenida is huge and long with plenty of 10 bus stop. We should have been given a landmark like the bus stop close to the fountain or the cross street next the bus stop.
The Caves of Nerja are outstanding from a historical and beauty perspective. We have been to several in the US, but the ones in Nerja were definitely number one! The audio is worth the minimal price. There are a lot of stairs to reach the various levels but it is well lit and there are rails and benches along the way. You can walk through at your own pace.
Antonia, our tour guide, was fantastic! She provided us with detailed information on each of the sites we visited in Frigiliana and Nerja. I would highly recommend!!!!!
Should be no stars, paid well over £100 and never got picked up due to a mix up with the tour company due to someone with a similar name. They expected me to travel over 50 kilometres to the pickup point, when the coach had got to come past the hotel where we staying. I've now got to wait whilst they investigate what wrong to get my money back.
Our guide was about 70 years old so we were a little sceptique at first but she was fine, did the tour in 3 languages so made it longer to explain. BUS HAD NO AC!!!! It was way too hot!!! Caves are amazing!! Must see! Nerja is beautiful, wish we had more time to explore so was Frigiliana.
