Don’t let the entrance fool you, dropped off by our driver, we wandered off the main road and strolled down the 150 meters to the entrance gate (an iron gate with the winery’s name on the right and two winged birds and a lamp atop each stone column). We were greeted by the enthusiastic and gracious hostess who welcomed us to our tasting and we soon found a chilled glass of Vermut in our hand as we stood amongst the vines. The evening was neither slow nor rushed but perfectly paced as wines were presented, poured, and paired with a variety of tapas. The backdrop of the evening skyline with the mountain at our back and the winery spreading out in front provided a warm and secluded feel of privacy while offering an expansive perspective. Our hostess who came to Spain from Italy, was replete with knowledge and offered a vivid history of the winery and the winemaker’s origin story (no radioactive spiders). We tasted 2 oils and 5, 6, or 7 wines. Honestly, it didn’t matter. Each had a unique framing and naming tied to winemaker Antonio’s life, family, and friends. A wonderful time with a wonderful group of people from different parts of the world (12 guests). A fun and educational time had by all. This is an experience we will do again! Thank you!

My Dad and I went along, we really enjoyed the experience, Antonio was very knowledgeable. Lovely vineyard to walk around, and interesting hearing about the organic elements. The amount of wine we got to taste was a lot more than I thought we'd get for a wine tasting (which we didn't mind!). Beautiful views from the vineyard added to the experience. Getting to the vineyard is easily, a bus stop is directly outside, there is a little walk down a hill, but nothing unmanageable for most people. Well worth the money in my opinion. Lovely afternoon out.
This was one of the highlights of our trip. The property sits high on a mountainside outside Malaga with sweeping views of the Mediterranean, on a clear evening you can even make out Gibraltar and Africa in the distance. We booked the 7pm slot, which was perfect with sunset. Our host, Beatriz, was fantastic. We hit traffic coming out of Malaga and arrived about 15 minutes late, she didn't miss a beat and folded us right into the group. There were about 12 of us total, small enough that we ended up chatting with the other guests, which added to the experience. She walked us through a tasting of 2 olive oils and 5 wines (a rosé, 2 whites, 2 reds), all grown organically on the property. Alongside that came a generous spread of sliced meats, cheese, frittata, bread, and chips and crackers. The oil and the wine was so good that we ended up shipping 2 cases home. Small bonus: the dog, Tom, and cat, Princess have clearly got the run of the place and were happy to soak up attention from guests while lounging around in what might be the best backyard in Spain. Did this with my wife and two adult daughters, all four of us agreed it was a standout. Highly recommend, especially if you can snag the sunset slot.
Maria was a very knowledgeable guide who provided interesting information throughout the tour. The food and wine were excellent, and it was a nice touch being able to buy some of the products at the end.
We had a fabulous tour of the vineyard and an insight into its history. We were a party of 4 and all of us felt that price was great value considering the the excellent quality of wine, olive oil and tapas we sampled. Our host was very knowledgeable and friendly. She ensured everyone in the group (12 persons) was included in the discussions regarding which of the wines etc we liked best. At the end of the visit which lasted over 2 hours the host organised for a taxi to take us back to the train station. We all thoroughly enjoyed the visit and would highly recommend it.
Had a good time on the Vinedo Malvajio organic wine and olive oil tour and tasting. Our guide was informative and good fun which made our small group feel relaxed and get on well. The tapas lunch was very nice too, as of course were the oils and wines! The only negative was that we were advised in the meeting instructions to get an Uber there rather than a local taxi. This proved to be a bad move for both ourselves and another party as the Ubers both didn’t turn up and we arrived late. Luckily the vineyard called us taxis to take us back at the end of the tasting and all went well!
Great experience; knowledgable friendly guide with great wines accompanied by delicious cold tapas . 100% recommend
Really great experience! Would recommend if visiting Malaga ! Great wine and overall a good experience!
Instructions to find the vineyard were extremely helpful and clear. The guide explained things succinctly yet with humour. Tom the dog and Cat the cat were lovely members of the vineyard team. Everything was delicious especially the vermouth. Each wine had a story behind it giving the experience an element of care that felt wholesome and family orientated. It was an intimate experience with 12 people. The guide talked us through how to get the most of each tasting, which is helpful for novices. The experience lasted 2 hours. As we stayed in Benalmadena we took an uber to the vineyard and ordered a Bolt back. Each was roughly €20. Worth the visit!
Visited last week with family of 6, a further 4 couples on the tour so nice number and easy to hear the guide Antonino. Small vineyard easy to get around as lovely view of the coast from the top bank of vines. Thoughly enjoyable experience, the wines provided are of good quality and available to buy afterwards. The malapipa and orange wine is especially good and worth purchasing. Definitely recommend if staying in Mijas or nearby. Be aware it’s a steep walk do n from the road, if you have anyone not to steady on their feet.
Really nice evening in a beautiful vineyard with lots of gorgeous wines to taste !
`I heard of the Mijas Organic Vineyard tour from my wife who had taken part only a few weeks ago. and thoroughly enjoyed it. We both had Antonio as our guide. He's the right man to explain the production of olive oil and wines, from the culture of olive trees and vines through to the end product we were privileged to sample. Antonio has an engaging personality and a dry sense of humour. 16 of us gathered for a summary of what we would be doing, seeing, and sampling. The site is attractive and ideally suited to the tour, being situated on the mountainside overlooking the coastline. Big enough to explore, but with no need for hiking.. Antonio introduced the basics of olive tree and vine management; also a resident team responsible for maintenance of ecological balance on the land: these comprise the goat, a few hens, the cat and Collie dog, Tom. You will just have to book in for the tour to find out more. What I particularly liked about the day was the relaxed and un- regimented structure. We met. Introductory talk near an olive grove. Walk a bit further stop by the rose bushes crucial to survival of the vines. Each of us was issued with a glass of a strong and fragrant vermut, Mala Mostia, exclusive to Vinedo Malvasia. Next , we. were free to explore the vines and the views, sipping as we went. Sipping downhill took us to the terraced hospitality area where a long trestle table had magically appeared, laden with bottled wines - white, rose, orange; glasses, and tapas of all kinds. Tom, the dog, was available to welcome his guests. I have been to wine and oil tastings before where I felt I was back at school , commanded: sniff, swill, slurp, taste the aroma, feel the burning sensation in the throat. If you can"t you fail. Now we are hearing, taste, you may get aromas of apple and pear, don't worry if you can"t , just enjoy it. Move on to another - the taste strengthens with exposure to the air. It did. And we did. So did the friendship with our fellow tasters. At my end were visitors from Denmark and New York. We got on so well that I have since been in contact to exchange email address etc to keep in touch. For this I have to thank Lisa from White Houses Tours, the organisers. She relayed messages over the entire weekend putting our group members in touch with one another. For which, many thanks. Lisa. All in all, the experience was everything that you could hope for, and more. Alistair Hamilton
Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Antonio was a very welcoming as well as extremely knowledgeable host and Thomas dog was very welcoming too. Although only 8 in our group, 5 countries were represented - Yemen, Morocco, Canada, Wales and Ireland. The olive oils, the various wines and tapas dishes were all plentiful and very tasty. The wines, the food and the camaraderie among the group made it one of the most enjoyable afternoons of our week in Mijas, and possibly for others in the group too as we nearly had to be asked to leave, as we had stayed beyond out allotted time. If considering this tour, I would highly recommend you book it. Thanks to Antonio, and indeed to Thomas who got most of my tapas meats.
Rodrigo from White House tours arranged a private vineyard tour, wine tasting and paella dinner for a group of 22 of us. Everything from the beginning was perfect. Rodrigo thought of every little detail to make it a special experience for us all. The wines were amazing and the dinner was even better. Thank you to Rodrigo and the team for organising a brilliant experience. I would highly recommend!
Pablo was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed tasting all the wines and hearing about the vineyard and production of oil. Tom the dog was lovely. Highly recommend but remember to take a hat and some extra water.
Great visit. And a wonderful host
Nice and knowledgable guide, wonderful place.
A lovely way to spend a few hours! Hospitality was second to none, plentiful food and free flowing excellent wine. Delicious olive oil
This tour is well worth the money. Greeted at the gate by Antonio and Thomas (the dog) Great selection of wine and food. Very relaxed and informative. Small group of 17 the day we were there. All nationalities 👍🍷
This was a great experience and we were happy with the explanation’s and tastings.
Antonio was a great host and the wine was also great. Well worth the effort
Three friends and I loved this so much! The wines were lovely, the nibbles were tasty and the interactivity of tasting & learning about the wines (& olive oils) made the experience even better. We loved it & would definitely go again!
I booked this experience to celebrate my husbands birthday as part of our trip to Fuengirola at Easter. We took the advice of the tour operator and got a bolt taxi to the vineyard as the local taxis were not sure where the vineyard was. Be careful though with taxis, our taxi driver dropped us at the back of the property down the hill and we had to walk up again to get to the entrance! The vineyard is off the main A368 road (down a little side track) from Fuengirola to Mijas pueblo and this is the easiest way to access it, you can catch the bus or a taxi can drop you at the top and you can walk down. Antonio our guide kept in touch with us while we were getting to the venue and was very understanding- we missed the tour round the vines, but he was there to greet us with Tomas the collie dog, who was very friendly (he loved a fuss) and served us a very much needed chilled vermouth from the estate! We then went on to try the oils and wines that the vineyard produce and Antonio was very knowledgeable about how they are made, organic wines and how to taste wine and what scents and flavours to look out for. All info was given in Spanish and English for our mixed nationality group of 12 people. We also had some tasty tapas to sample alongside our wines and all of our party enjoyed the visit with the other guests. We bought a couple of bottles of wine to enjoy on the rest of our holiday! Thank you for a lovely visit!
The host was super nice and the visit was planned very thoroughly. I loved the winery and the scenery around it. It was super easy to reach with Bolt. The wine tasting could have not gone any better!
Absolutely an amazing and beautiful place. We ended up learning a few things about wine and olive oil and had a great time trying different wine. We had a great afternoon!
Hard to find, but great experience . Lots of interesting information and great tasting. We had a fun experience
Pablo did an amazing job explaining the wine procedure and introducing us to his helpers the dog, cats and goat and their purpose in the vineyard. With ten of us around the table for the olive oil and wine tasting with the food was a really fun adventure!
What a wonderful way to end our trip to Costa del Sol! Lisa was so helpful in communicating prior to our time together. Pablo was a fantastic host and guide!
What a fabulous couple of hours spent wine tasting with Pablo! He was a fantastic host—funny, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the whole experience relaxed and entertaining while still sharing so much insight about the wines. We laughed, learned, and tasted some excellent wines. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable wine tasting vineyard tour.
This was an excellent day of great value. Jose is an excellent driver. Pepe has extensive knowledge and is very personable. He is a top guide. Both towns are well worth a visit. Thank you. Hugh and Michael from Canada
Best I have ever been on in every way. A small group of 6 friendly people - lots of info & great food/wine Highly recommend.
The tour was wonderfull! Our guide was very friendly and he told us lots of interesting things about organic wine making. The place was beautifull, with fantastic views, cute cats playing around and a very hard working guard dog who liked to be scratched :) The wines that we were offered to taste were good, a little different than any other wines that we have tasted, but in a good way. The two different olive oils were also delicious. We were offered a plentifull selection of tapas to enjoy with the wine, including gluten free options. We can recommend this tour to all food and wine lovers!
Outstanding tour! Pablo made the tasting educational in a fun way. The food and wine were excellent! A Dutch family was on the tour with us and we had a great time hanging out with them too. Highly recommend this tour.
It was so nice! Pablo was very nice and explained the wine and oil making processes very well, and fun experiments:) the cats and dog were so sweet and friendly. Overall amazing experience and great wine!
Interesting, friendly, clean. Excellent guide, Pablo. Didn’t have to walk or listen to long lecturing. Leisurely half a day trip.
Many thanks to Antonio, who was the guide for the wine and olive oil tasting at the Marveja Family vineyard. Antonio was extremely knowledgeable regarding the wines and the olive oils presented on this tasting. Unfortunately, the vineyard was dead (seriously) and the olives already picked. Also the wines were not very good but no one in our group of 12 seemed to care. We still enjoyed ourselves tasting and drinking 5 wines and trying two olive oils accompanied by bread, cheese, meats and chips. I was particularly surprised that Antonio didn't try to sell us any bottles of wine, perhaps he knew this particular batch of wines were not that good. I can't say I would recommend this tasting to anyone else.
My group had a fantastic time at the Mijas Wine Tour. Pablo was a great host teaching us about the wine & olive oil making process, I particularly enjoyed learning about the organic practices and the challenges involved. The olive oil and wine tasting was a fun memorable experience accompanied with plenty tasty Spanish snacks. Would highly recommend! 🏴🇪🇸
We had an amazing afternoon. Antonia was waiting to greet us on our arrival .He was very knowledgeable about the Olives and the vines and spoke excellent english. The table for the tasting was very nicely set out and in a lovely location .There was tapas provided as well as tasting of 4 wines and an aperatif .We learnt how to taste the wines which were all lovely .It was relaxed and there was no rush .Top tip ,have a big breakfast because theres lots of wine .
On arrival to the vineyard that you would even know it was there but as we turned in a warm welcome awaited us from Pablo and Lisa. A short tour of the vineyard that was very informative and then the best bit tasting of the wines. We sat down at tables for six with a lovely well presented selection of meats and cheeses etc. We tasted six wines each very well explained from our hosts. There are some funny experiments that Pablo and Lisa try on you nothing to fear all good fun. Our favourite was the red which we purchased four bottles and at very reasonable prices. All in all throughly recommended. 10 out of 10 from us beautiful with a personal touch.
Fantastic experience, a very nice place with good wines and tapas. Nice service.. Highly recommended, either as a couple or a group
Super fun experience, we learned a lot. Thanks for this cozy afternoon.
Very nice experience. Upon arrival, we received a good explanation of everything needed to make organic wine. We had an international group of people which made it interesting in the field of winemaking and so on. The guide had a great time with a joke here and there. Furthermore, we were able to taste six wines and there were also plenty of delicious tapas. In short, a recommendation for those who like a small-scale wine tasting.
Fantastic experience. Very cozy and authentic place. The only thing we missed was being able to see where and how the wine was made.
Very nice tour! And delicious wine.
Very nice wine tasting, super atmosphere and perfect ambiance. I won't tell you too much but really 5 stars. Just experienced it.
Very beautiful experience! Enchanting setting, good tastings of wines and local products. The guide is excellent, he knows his field well. We learned a lot about wine and olive oil. Visit just short enough. I recommend it without hesitation!
This wine tasting is definitely recommended. It is on a small vineyard and authentic Spanish. We ended up with 6 wines; white rosé, red and desert wine, 2 olive oils and a diversity of tapas. Super fun! The guide was also very relaxed and also gave the group some time to taste for themselves. What made everything even more fun was that the vineyard is a 5-minute drive from my brother's B&B and they might present this wine as their house wine.
A little hard to find. But the vineyard itself and the tasting was top class. Even the olive tasting was to your liking
A couple of nice hours with super good information about wine and oil production
Guided tour was good. Tapas tasty and wine sufficient. Explanation was good and wine very tasty! People went to great lengths to please everyone.
