Marbella Catamaran Tour With Possible Dolphin Sighting

Very weather dependent. We were not canceled but were unable to do activities. Water was rough so just went out and back.

It is a ride out and return slowly. No swimming, no dolphins, nothing fancy. One six ounce bottle of water counts as a drink. Snack was grapes, potato chips,, melon, nuts and orange slices. Nice peaceful 2 hr motorized catamaran ride. .

I called specifically ahead of time to ask if this was actually a sailing trip or just motoring on a catamaran. I was told that they would sail if there was wind. We definitely had wind, but they didn’t sail. They put up the jib after about 50 minutes of motoring directly out into the ocean after I asked if we would be sailing. They put up the jiband left the motor on and did not put up the main sail so we were not actually sailing. We were just mowing. We motored directly out for an hour and then turned around and motored directly back. we were never given the opportunity to get off the boat, we saw no dolphins, and we didn’t sail. I thought the trip was very limited and poor and false advertise.

Short motor ride out to nowhere. Only views were motoring out of & back into town. No swimming, dolohins or sailing.

Lovely few hours. Clear comms before, met us on time and well organised excursion. Welcome drink and fruit/nuts snack was nice but could do with a couple of complimentary top-ups, and bottles of water. Brilliant team, nice route and asked us our preferences on stopping/swimming etc. Good sized group (max 12 people). Would recommend.

Fantastic trip including swimming and paddle boarding

A complete waste of money. No fishing, no paddling and no dolphins seen. The captain was more worried about getting back to her next “private tour” than making sure the experience was enjoyable for the passengers. If I could give it zero stars I would.

It was advertised as dolphin watching and then didn’t even try they took the boat in a big circle and no paddle boards, snorkelling just a quick 10 minute swim in the sea.

Very nice trip, if just a little short. The views along the coast were awesome. No dolphin sighting this trip, but not a dealbreaker by any means. Great crew onboard!

Fun boat trip on a Catamaran with amazing views along the Marbella coast and wonderful hosts who really looked after us and provided some lovely refreshments. No dolphins this time sadly but thank you for the experience.

Wonderful, Captain Very kind and gracious and patiently sailed us around, looking for the dolphins, which we eventually did find. Quite a lovely and natural thrill to see them actually. Our captain was very attentive Serving us drinks and snacks and checking on our comfort

The best dolphin cruise you could ask for. We originally booked the experience for Monday because we got in late Saturday night and wanted a buffer day of relaxing. But the crew texted us a few days ahead of time and asked if we would be ok moving our experience up to Sunday due to a worry of Monday having bad conditions and the experience not being as good for us. I’m so so glad they did. We could not have asked for better weather/conditions on Sunday. We also ended up only having two other people book so it was just a small group of four of us and the captain. We had the most amazing time. The captain is so lovely and kind and took care of rod us. Everyone we spotted dolphins he redirected the boat toward them. At one point one was swimming right under/with us and it was the coolest experience I’ve ever had. The captain also brought us plenty of beverages and snacks. We paused at one point for some swimming and he even offered to pause again if we wanted but we just really enjoyed the sailing. Overall, you cannot have a better experience than this. Book now!

It was such an amazing tour. The captain and crew were attentive and friendly. The drinks were topped up, and the crew informed us about the area and wildlife. It is an absolute must-do experience for anyone visiting the area.

An excellent trip on a lovely catamaran with drinks, fruit, swimming, and kayaks. Isabela was a terrific host. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed an absolutely perfect day on the ocean! We saw dolphins and giant tuna, got to jump in and float around, and they provided a steady flow of beverages and snacks. We didn't get to any snorkeling areas but that is ok! It felt like a private experience, it was just us and one other group so it was a really nice excursion for the price.

Similar experience to a previous review, "poor conditions" seemed a convenient excuse not to offer any of the advertised features (swimming, kayaking etc.) but conditions still good enough not to cancel the trip. There was a minor sea swell but that was all. It did not appear that the crew made any effort to find a location (calmer water) where the activities might have been possible. In my opinion, it was poor value for money, not worth it.

There seems to be a nice loophole for this company where the weather is too choppy to do any of the activities or see any wildlife on the water, but not rough enough to actually cancel the tour. The group before us had the same experience so I would find other ways to spend my money. Staff was pleasant so I gave it two stars. Find a tour that has a boat with an engine.

Our day with Carlos and Fran was brilliant. They were great hosts and we felt safe the whole time with them, we were looking for a chilled boat experience which we definitely got. Drinks and snacks were also great. One note is the pick up point, you want to head to the gates opposite the Dior store not the other end of the port. Also google the Royal Catamaran company in Marbella for the contact info - the lady I spoke with on the phone was really helpful with directions.

An absolutely great trip. We were completely relaxed just after being 1 minute on board. Service was excellent. Thanks to Carlos and his colleague. And we had great luck by seeing even 2 dolphin groups coming right near the boat. If I got the chance I will take this trip surely once again.

Unfortunately didn’t see any dolphins and the water was too choppy to paddle board for that time of year, however the crew were amazing. They were very friendly and the drinks and snacks were included.

The Catamaran was beautiful and the crew were really friendly. The sea was choppy but added to a fun afternoon. Would highly recommend.

Shame we didn’t see dolphins but enjoyed the trip, the guys were great and the loved the 3 hours esp the paddle boarding and the kayaking - a lot of fun! Easy to deal with and easy to find! Thx you.

Carlos and Fran were the best, we had such a good time. The catamaran was very comfortable, drinks snacks were delicious and refreshing, and we were lucky with lots of dolphins!

Francisco and Carlo were wonderful hosts. The catamaran was spacious, the wine, beer and snacks delicious. We saw dolphins, had a lovely swim in the sea and attempted paddle boarding!

Getting into the sea was fabulous., very refreshing. The Captain and crew were very nice and helpful. Service of beverages and munchies was very good too. The whole experience was good if you want to get onto the water and view Marbella from the sea. One thing to improve on is possibly providing a better meeting location as I put the address in Uber and they dropped us at the far other end of the Marina. No complaints though, they were waiting for us at the pier.

Great experience! The complimentary drinks were supplied all the way through. Didn’t have to ask. Snacks also provided. Didn’t see dolphins. But they can’t always promise that. Stopped for a swim for a long time about a mile off shore. So warm and peaceful. Very worth while trip!!!!

We had a wonderful time with Carlos and Fran. Fran guided us to a small pod of dolphins including a baby that we followed for a while. We had a great time swimming and paddle boarding, and Carlos was very welcoming and helpful in refilling drinks and snacks. A beautiful 3 hour easy and calm cruise around Marbella. Highly recommend!

Great day with Pepe and his team, very relaxing and well organised. The boat was very comfortable and the refreshments plentiful. Overall great value for money and great memories. We booked through Viator and I would suggest calling the team when you arrive at the meeting point.

Two couples and only 8 people in total not including the 2 crew (maximum is 12) Perfect balance of music, drinks and snacks. To then have the dolphins swim up close to the boat is just mesmerising. Paddle boards and kayaks included. All in all probably the best boat trip I've been on ever well worth the very reasonable price. Massive thank you to the crew and organisers.

Great and friendly staff. Multiple choices for beverages. Although the waves were quite big, we had a blast :)

Catamaran and crew were nice, however winds were too high to enjoy. Had to use blankets sitting on the deck. I believe the trip should have been canceled. Crew said they would cancel the afternoon trip.

Super choppy waters. Sail wouldn’t go up. Offered drinks at the beginning but never asked again. No swimming. It was disappointing. A few people felt very sick.

This is the second time we have been on this trip, with different group of friends. We really enjoyed it. The staff are very attentive, keeping us topped up with drinks when asked. As this is only a small group there is plenty of room to sit and do as you please. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend doing this trip. Enjoy 😊

Everything about our experience de was memorable! Our captain Francisco took us out for the smoothest of smooth sails. Carlos his first mate was the best of the best. Both were so personable and friendly. They talked about the area, gave us a Birds Eye view of life in Marbella. It was so relaxing and just what the doctor ordered after a very busy previous day. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

Great boat and lovely crew. Went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. 2 adults and 3 teens. Safe, fun, and will be back again.

The trip was fantastic. We were greeted punctually at the harbour in Puerto Banus. We (5 friends) felt like superstars walking amongst the yachts to our catamaran!! The catamaran was very clean and the hospitality was great. Unfortunately conditions were too windy to make use of the paddle boards and kayaks, but the snacks and cava more than made up for it. Emilio and Jose were exceptional hosts, and communication from the office beforehand was great. Highly recommend. It was the highlight of our holiday.

We booked this private Catamaran for a group of 10 girls on a hen party, and wow you will not be disappointed! At time of booking, I was concerned to be paying a large amount over the internet and couldn't find many reviews, however Isabella was very helpful & could also be contacted via Whatsapp and put my mind at ease! Isabella also helped us with a mini bus transfer to & from our villa in Malaga. We didn't plan or book the dolphin watching, we just booked the private boat. It was great to be waited on, be served cava & delicious nibbles. The Captain was extremely friendly, and we stopped to paddle board and for a swim in the sea, on the way back they then searched for dolphins and wow this was the best, a trip we will all be talking about for a long time.

Absolutely first class trip! Great facilities, great hosts and so lucky to have dolphins swim alongside the catamaran. We were treated exceptionally well with drink and food. Great day and can’t recommend highly enough!

Excellent service! Got a cool experience and a fantastic view of the bay! I travelled alone and I can really recommened it! Even got pictures from the crew when I "rocked" the SUP.

Great trip with attentive staff who kept us out a little longer to make sure we saw the dolphins in the area. Highly recommended for a cost-effective half day catamaran. Met a couple great families on board as well that made us feel part of the group. Would do it again in the future.

We had a lovely experience on the catamaran tour. Excellent service with a friendly crew. Beverages, snacks and fruitplatter included. We had the luck to spot dolphins which was amazing. Strongly recommend this tour! :)

What an amazing trip. Jose and Franc treated us so very nice. Delicious fruit and chips and and assortment of corn nuts and regular nuts. All the Cava and beer and soda we wanted. We didn’t get to see dolphins but we kayaked, and paddle boarded a solid hour. Wonderful having a small group only our family of 5 and another family of 5. Great as we didn’t have boat full of young people, drinking too much. Loved this tour!

What a wonderful 3 hours. Myself my husband and son,7 took the trip. From start to finish we were looked after by the crew. We got comfortable and were brought water. We saw dolphins within the first 30 minutes of the trip. Had the opportunity to swim in the water and use paddle boards and kayaks. Great fun. Definitely recommend

Great service and wonderful people sailing the catamaran. Beyond my expectations. Would recommend to anyone.
