Malaga: Tuk Tuk Tour

It was fun to see the city from different views, and even some beautiful neighborhoods. But, Our tour guide spent more time on snap chat then she did giving us any insightful information about what we were seeing or where we were! It was awkward. When we asked questions she would say "one moment...." then finished her text, and then answer the question with "I don't know"! It was fun to ride in the tuk tuk.... and get up to the high castle and see the view.... but we didn't learn anything about Malaga!

My husband and I took the one hour tour yesterday with Alvaro. He was a brilliant guide. He spoke perfect english, was interesting, entertaining and is inexplicably single! We left on time and were provided with complementary bottles of water. The tour passed the major attractions in Malaga and we stopped at the Mirador viewpoint. We really enjoyed the tour and can highly recommend.

Our tour guide, Alberto , was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and tge tuk tuk that's equipped with a speaker, so we could hear him clearly. I highly recommend this tour.

Quite an odd experience for us. The initial welcome was not great. Three tuktuks appeared and there was a large crowd of people stood around. Most seemed to be speaking spanish. The three drivers were busy discussing things. I attempted to speak to one of them, but was ignored. I then wondered if we were in the correct place. As we had , as it now transpires, wrongly assumed we would be in a tuktuk on our own. We stood away from the group and I searched for a contact number to work out the name and contact info of the company we had booked with. It transpired we were in the right place and one of the tuktuks was for us, but another couple were to join us. I explained I was not happy as assumed we would not be travelling around with strangers. Our options were don't go and no refund or lump it. We decided to lump it. All three tuktuks set off together. We travelled around and stopped at various locations. The driver was lovely and attentive. Overall , other than the initial misunderstanding it was an OK experience. Not the best not the worst. Not a great deal of commentary describing sights as we drove around. We did try to speak to the business about our feelings. But as I’m sure you will see, in their response to this note. They are quite patronising and dismissive. Such is life. My advice, as indeed the Company also shared with me, read the small print before booking with this Company!

Started off with a "scheduling snafu". Several weeks in advance we booked and confirmed a 4:30pm time and while we were on our trip, we were contacted a few days before asking us to change to another day. Since we were on a cruise that was impossible to do; so, they offered us 6:30pm, which caused some inconvenience. The meeting point was difficult to locate since we were given multiple links to the location, 2 conflicting and 1 that did not work. 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure we received a message that they were running late. After all of this, Jesus, did do a good job showing us different parts of town. We would have rated the tour higher if we would not have had all the upfront issues.

Well worth doing the 2 hr one the guide was very good and informative. Would highly recommend for anyone who hasn’t done it.

We had a great 2 hr tour with our Driver/Guide, sorry I forgot his name. He was very knowledgeable. We stopped and went for a walk at a beach to see fish being cooked in beach huts, then on to a look out and the local sites.

This was a quirky alternative to a walking tour. Enabled us to see more sights and explore more of the city in an hour than we would by walking. Also reached the castle easily to take in the views. Fun and informative guide explained the history as we drove around and gave great recommendations for bars and tapas. Helped to get our bearings for the rest of the holiday and discovered some areas to visit which otherwise we would not have known. Very good.

Don't do this. They're scammer! And obviously cheater. You're paying for nothing. Tour guide didn't come and to getyourguide they tell that we've done this tour.

Two adults and a small dog, we had a fabulous experience, as a birthday treat !! Aurelio is a knowledgeable guide, good and safe driver and we had great fun !! We will be back and therefore can strongly recommend to others to go and book and enjoy a brilliant , fun, interesting and memorable trip on this particular TucTuc service, its the real thing, I must for all ages .

Not reliable with times! Reserved 2 hours at 10 am ,got last minute note that it was moved to 12 pm and at 12 they said he could do only one hour ! so we cancelled the tour and got the money back

Run! I have done excursions all over the world and take tons of time reading reviews to pick a good one. I hope this review helps another family not have the same experience:”. This is one to avoid at all costs. The company didn’t come at the pickup time. They were 30 minutes late for our tour so we only got a 1:30 minute tour when we paid for two hours. Another driver from their company called our missing driver and he said he forgot. The company blamed “traffic” but I heard the conversion. Everyone else was on time…The tour itself was also terrible. Do not waste your money with this company. This is how the tour went - we passed a lighthouse - the driver said “this is a light house” no history or information (this continued thoughout the tour), we were taken to an empty canal, the entrance to a cemetery which was a ticket booth where you can’t see any of the cemetery, told to go into a Picasso museum for 5 mins which requires tickets so we just had to stand there and wait while he took a personal call. Spend your money on a better tour - this is definitely not worth it. Luckily we booked an amazing food tour later in the day which was so much better. If I had just done this tuktuk tour I would not have had a good impression of the city because we literally saw nothing worthwhile on this tour. The company also refused to issue us a refund even through they were late and cut our tour short which isn’t a company you want to support. Viator didn’t help either so definitely find a company that backs up what they sell.

As long as you know what this is, I would recommend it. We booked this for an English guide. There was some type of mix-up as the other passengers were German. Hence, the guide was talking in both English and German and whatever questions the Germans were asking, we had no way of knowing what the answers were. Nevertheless, the guide did speak English and did provide good information as we drove. We were able to get above the city for some great views. In addition, we drove into the outskirts of the city.

Very bad experience because on one turn up I waited for over an hour at the location they didn't turn up my children is very upset please i want my full money to be refund ASAP

This company cancelled our Tukk Tuk tour after booking and having confirmation and payment through ‘Get your Guide’ app. I can only imagine they earn more money through their own website and don’t have to pay the commission. They can and will cancel at their own discretion. Not to be trusted🙁 Never do I feel the need to leave bad reviews but this situation needs to be highlighted….

Joe was a great driver, we met at the designated pick up point & he was waiting for us! Joe was very knowledgeable & friendly - would recommend 👏👏

Efficient way to get an overview of the cities highlights in a small group (vs a big hop on off bus). The stop at the mirador was perfect for a great panoramic view which included the plaza de toros (bullring). Our driver Joe was exceptional (truly fluent in Spanish and English). I enjoyed hearing about his journey as a New Yorker who married a malagueña. He’s been living here and raising his family for 20+ years. He was very enthusiastic and passionate about Spain and his home town of Malaga. Joe was also very accommodating with our booking change. Due to bad weather, many people changed their time slot, but Joe presented us with a few options to ensure we didn’t have to cancel. His attention to our needs was greatly appreciated.

100% recommend this for anyone visiting Málaga. These guys really love there city and it show. We went for the 2 hour trip and it's worth every second.Would go again

Great tour through Malaga. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, and friendly. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and made sure we had a great time. His restaurant recommendations were perfect for us and he also took great pictures for us.

Tour was well organised with a very knowledgeable local driver. We had visited Malaga before but this was a new and thoroughly enjoyable experience.

It was just a great ride exploring areas outside of the city center! Pickup as agreed and Noelia our guide was meeting us even early! She was fantastic and funny, we enjoyed the tour and as a cherry on the top the tuktuk was electric something we didn't know when booking. Take this tour when in Málaga!

A 2 hour tours with guide Marco. Pick up point was a bit confusing but the guide was there quickly. Great fun and interesting tour. Definitely worth doing!

The tour was very eventful and far more individual than taking a bus. The driver was very friendly and was also available in advance at any time, which was very helpful because we did not immediately find the meeting point. The tour is highly recommended!

We enjoyed the tour we booked last minute unexpectedly, we were very lucky as it is usually exhausted always as the guide told us. I find it a good tour to see Malaga quickly and learn about its history and anecdotes.
