It was superbly well organised, I was picked up early as planned by Susannah and Juan and had a half hour stop in Ardales which was ideal to get a little breakfast and fresh orange juice before the Caminito. Once at the Caminito we were divided into groups with either a Spanish guide or English speaking guide. I was with the latter Danny who looked after us and told us salient points about the gorge and its history. He was also very patient being as I am shortly due to have a knee replacement some downhill inclines meant I was a bit slower. He also said he enjoys helping people who suffer vertigo to negotiate the route and to face their fears which he finds really rewarding to see them enjoy it. I think it was a brilliant experience and although my trip was an early start was still back to enjoy a couple of good hours in the sun after being taken back to my pickup point. Highly recommended!

Very unique views and experience! We had a fun time and our guide, Susanna, was very knowledgable. I don’t think the stop in the small town at the beginning is necessary however.
It was a great experience . Would have been nice to have been picked up near our hotel, 25 minute uber. And… a little confusing at the end as to where we should meet.
This was a wonderful experience! Alin was a great guide throughout the entire trip and hike. We loved the small village of Ardales for breakfast, a beautiful quaint stop. The hike itself was amazing with fantastic views! It was as described, moderate, not difficult. Highly recommend!!
Great day trip. Comfortable bus 2 very friendly & helpful guides. They told us about the history of the cominito del rey. The walk through it was at a slow pace so everyone could keep up. There were toilets at start & end of walk. Our bus came on time & was very comfortable. It is a place everyone should visit. We always do our day trip with Viator. They are so well organised. Definitely recommend this day trip with Viator.
This was an amazing sight to see. The wooden walkways built on the cliff face, the views from the little balconies, and hike through the valley make for some breathtaking views and pictures. The walkable suspension bridges were fun to cross high above the gorge! The guide, Jessica, was excellent in discussing the history of the attraction as well as the flora and fauna, albeit, sometimes a little corny. Worth the time and adventure
It's a lovely walk, but you won't be alone. The pace was slow, allowing for lots of photos. Don't fill your bladder before you start.
We had a fabulous day at Carminito del Rey. Shirley was an excellent guide who knew her way around the area very well and provided lots of interesting information about the mountains, pointing out the juassic evidence around the area and history of the path. We felt very safe being shepherded along by Shirley and have many amazing memories from the tour.
Fabulous excursion. The guides, Jennifer from the Netherlands and Magdalena from Poland were brilliant. Lots of information, very well organised, lovely little stop off at a beautiful while Spanish town. Only little problem was the pick up in Málaga .It was chaos. Lots of trips leaving, no one knew which bus was theirs.
Excellent trip. Visit-and-do are amazing guides. Very well organised and every detail thought of. Well planned and guides Magdalena and Jennifer were great, friendly and made the trip enjoyable and informative. Would do trip again. It's popular with tourists but the national park manages the crowds in a well organised way so just accept there will be some waiting and soak up the amazing geography and great vistas. Malaga pick up and drop off very easy.
This was an amazing tour. Our guide Magdalena did a great job with keeping us informed of what our day would entail and educating us on the history of Caminito Del Ray. Make sure to wear cushioned comfortable shoes and to take water and snacks. A hat and/or sunglasses are also advisable if you’re there during the sunny season. For our tour, the morning started out cool and ended up pretty warm. So dress in layers to be most comfortable. The walk/hike felt safe. If you’re afraid of heights, just keep your eyes forward instead of looking down through the slats of the deck.
We enjoyed the tour itself, Alex was wonderful, what upset us was our pick up point was a 30 euro cab ride away , got on the bus rode 45 min 2nd stop was 3 minutes from our hotel, then more stops that added an hour to the trip, then the same coming home, would be better with one pick up and drop off like the tour we took the next day, Malaga City Hall. In doing this you do not spend 3 hours on the bus.
Great day , but quite long a journey to get to walk Great tour guides
Caminito del Rey is stunning. Definitely something to see. The group was split into English and Spanish. The English group had a guide from the caminito and unfortunately he did not provide any information on the walk. When he stopped us about half way for a break the other guides were giving their group info. Nothing was provided in English so I don't know what they were told. The destination is stunning and doesn't need a lot of additional info so still worthwhile.
What an absolutely amazing trip. Very well organised and great tour guides. The photos on line don’t do it justice.
What an amazing walk! The scenery was spectacular and the history unbelievable. From breathtaking rock formations, vultures, mountain goats to fossils that were created on the ocean floor millions of years ago this walk has it all! If you only do one walk in Malaga make sure it’s this one. Hopefully you’re also get the same guide as us, Monica was fantastic, thank you for the experience.
I arrived early to our pickup location where there were several buses with no clear signs as to where each was going or what company each bus was associated with. I approached an operator who checked our tickets and gave us wristbands then said this bus was full and to wait for the next one. We waited, another bus came and left. I received a missed call and called back but no answer. After playing phone tag the guide answers and said they left without us. She did not offer an alternative time or a refund and said “I’ll see what I can do” and never heard back. I called the company and Viator for a refund which was denied. Will never be booking with Viator again. Terrible customer service, lack of communication and lack of organization.
Fantastic day out well worth a visit. The whole experience was just wonderful and our guide Alex was amazing
It was a beautiful walk-through canyons with 2 swinging bridges over gorges. Wear good sneakers or hiking shoes . Some downhill and some uphill but overall pretty safe.. Be prepared for a large group. Our bus had almost 60 people on it and they split into two groups of 30..
Was well organised from pick time, stop off for breakfast and the Caminito del Ray walk and drop off. Our guide was great too with good commentary. I would recommend it
One of the best experience I had done in Spain as a whole. Although the pick up was late, it was still fine. The guides, Monika and the other (forgot her name), were nice and accommodating. Monika shared many information not just about Caminito but even Malala and Spain. It was interesting to learn new stuff. Caminito del Rey is I think one of the best scenic hiking place I have done. I don't know even know how to describe it. It was just an amazing experience. The staff at the entrance were also friendly, sharing the dos and donts. Overall, it was incredible. I'll do it again!
Great experience well organised trip
What an amazing solo experience this was. I met other great solo travellers on this trip. The hike and views of Caminito del rey was 100% worth it. The history behind it was so interesting. The weather was beautiful, the tour guide was friendly. Overall I do recommend and I’m so glad I booked it.
What a wonderful experience, well worth the effort. The views are stunning. Our guide was very knowledgeable.
Amazing!! One of my favourite excursions l've ever done! Benjamin was incredible, he knew some much and was very passionate about the area. Monika was equally as informative on the coach ride there! Thank you both for a wonderful day!
Great experience in itself. Well communicating guide. She was vocal and kept the tour interesting and didn’t over explain things.
My girlfriend and I had a really great trip to Caminito del Rey from Torremolinos. From the very beginning, our guide was incredibly welcoming and smiling. We were picked up almost exactly on time, and when he looked at our names, he noticed that one of us had a very Danish surname. It turned out that he was Danish himself! We would never have guessed it, because you could not hear it at all when he spoke, neither when he spoke Danish, English nor Spanish. After around 50 minutes of driving, we stopped in Ardales. It is a lovely little town with cafés where you can buy sandwiches, drinks and snacks. I can especially recommend something similar to a Danish pastry with Nutella from Café Casa de Ingrid. It tasted insanely good and cost around 23 DKK. When we arrived at Caminito del Rey, there was a little waiting time as there were several groups. It was a hot day (32 to 35 degrees), and our guide was very attentive to the group. He really emphasized how important it was to drink enough water and recommended at least 1 to 1.5 liters per person. Along the way, he regularly made sure that everyone was drinking, and we took several short breaks just to have some water. The guiding was done in both English and Spanish. Even though there was only one Spanish family with us, he made an effort to distribute the information equally between the two languages. He told us interesting things along the way without filling the tour with too much information, and at the same time he had a really great sense of humor and energy. I personally have a fear of heights, but I was actually positively surprised by how manageable the tour was. The bridge you typically see in pictures was not particularly bad to cross. However, you should not think that the tour ends there. Afterwards, there is another bridge that feels 3 to 4 times as long. Even with a fear of heights, I still found it completely manageable. The total distance was around 6 to 7 km. I have attached a picture from Strava, but by then we had already walked around 800 to 1,000 meters from the bus to the actual starting point. At the end, there are various stalls where you can buy lemonade, beer, soft drinks and food. After a hot and active trip, it was very much needed. On the way home, the guide was quieter. He told us a few things, but otherwise let people relax. It was actually perfect, because we were all pretty tired after the trip. A huge compliment to our guide, who really helped make the trip such a great experience. He was attentive to the group, made sure everyone was drinking enough, was great at explaining things and had a really pleasant way of being a guide. Truly a world class guide. I am convinced that I will never experience a better guide. Thank you for the trip, Benjamin. One last thing: I remember is that someone pointed out that you were speaking a little loudly and should tone it down a bit. I really hope you did not take that to heart, because I honestly do not think that was the case at all. You did a perfect job the entire trip. All in all, a fantastic day that we can easily recommend, also to the average tourist and to people who may have a little fear of heights. Go for it! :)
My tour set off from Málaga to the Caminito. Everything was perfectly organised. The short break on the way there was lovely too. Our guide Benjamin was brilliant. He gave us a very informative and entertaining tour of the Caminito. As well as the English tour I’d booked, everything was also said in Spanish (which was a bit tiring). As we were a large group, we were split up and taken over by the second guide, Monica. Everything went smoothly, and the technology worked well too. And the Caminito is breathtaking! I’d definitely go again, and: top marks to Benjamin! :)
A really great tour. The guides were excellent. There is truly nothing to complain about.
Excellent tour with a great guide. If you do this tour make sure to do it in the morning while it is still cool.
What a great day out, seeing one of the best gorges in Europe. Walking on the narrow walkway on the side of the high rock face gave spectacular views. Guided by the very knowledgeable Susanna who shared the history of the constitution and of the nature of the surroundings. Would definitely recommend anyone in the area to go and visit this wonderful place, with this very organised operator. Deffo worth 5 stars.
We booked via Tripadviser but the company that the trip was with was Visitanddo. Pick up, journey and tour was brilliant. We had Monica as our English speaking guide and she was brilliant. The caminito del ray was also a stunning trip. 5 miles but largely flat although you’re up high. It was 35 degrees so by the end we were exhausted and it would have been good to have a little longer at the end before going back to the bus but otherwise an amazing day and tour. Would definitely recommend.
This is a MUST visit for anyone visiting the area of Malaga. I recommend going very early in the morning to avoid the Spanish heat. Our guide, Benjamin, was the best! He was doing the tour in Spanish and English, he was very informative with some humor in the mix! The hike itself is really easy and we took plenty of breaks in between. The views were absolutely stunning! Would definitely go again
Great views. Ales was a fantastic guide. Overall an amazing experience. A must’
The Bus was on time (Pick up and Return) Our Guide Benjamin was very nice and informativ. Caminito del Rey is really beautiful. It is worth to do it when you Visit Malaga
The gorge tour was fabulous but the transfer from Fuengirola was far too long. No warning of this on trip info. On bus at 12.30pm did not arrive back until 9pm
We had a wonderful day. Our guide was so knowledgeable. Our only complaint is we were with the second who came in after the first group & we didn’t have enough time to get food, drink our beer & get some souvenirs as the guide from the bus said make your way back to the bus. It would of been nice to have had a 15 minute warning.
This was a fantastic day out, well organised and our guide, Shirley was superb. Highly recommend
Read the information sent about what you cannot take with you and what you can, wear good supportive footwear, and take a good size bottle of water, it's a good walk but enjoy the amazing scenery and listen to guides, have some really interesting facts to tell you
Wonderful tour, our guide Monica was super. Thank you for this amazing experience. Weather was hot, but it didn’t disturb at all.
Benjamín for the win!! Absolutely the second best part - the beautiful nature still wins "best part" :-) Best guide of all my times visiting El Caminito del Rey
Awesome experience. Great organisation, and our guide Shirley was awesome too..great communicator in many languages, very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing her knowledge with us. We had a totally fab day, thanks Shirley!
We did a visit to Caminito Del Rey and found Shirley to be an absolutely knowledgeable tour guide. She made the day special as possible for all the group. We took the bus from Torremolinos which arrived at the scheduled time.
Excellent tour much better than expected. Not suitable for anyone with any walking issues and not suitable for kids. For very fit and healthy adults its the best tour. Not too much history just enough and fun. Thrill seekers will love this tour. Wouldn't do if too hot either the day we did it was perfect 27 degrees. The restaurant stop you guys need to change though as its not suitable to only offer this cafe with low standards as your food for the day. Most options are pork or dairy so its the only thing i thought was bad. And looked unhygienic with flies in pastry cabinets. The tour guide leader benjimin was excellent and cant recommend him enough. He made the experience really good. Would have liked longer to drink and eat at food stands at the end of the hike. But the actual tour was 11/10. Only this stop in village lets it down.
Great experience! Our group of five aged between 11 -69 loved it. It was far less challenging walk than we expected. The tour was very well organised and the views are amazing. Our guides - Monica and Jennifer were great as well. We would definitely recommend to the nature lovers.
Take water and snacks. Suncream is also a must. The walk is not strenuous but can be hard in places in the heat. The views are amazing. Wonderful experience all round
The tour was great. Pick-up from the meeting point was easy. The guide on the bus was fine. A different guide, speaking English, provided plenty of interesting facts. The views were breathtaking, and crossing two suspension bridges was an unforgettable experience. The only minor drawback was that the pace was a bit too fast. But I definitely recommend it.
Well run. Mica was a great guide. Very cool experience. August is very hot so plan for heat and go earlier in day if possible.
A fantastic experience! Wonderfuland rewarding, although the high temperature. The guides were friendly and very professional.
Amazing place! Well worth a visit. The travel to and from was organised and worked out well. The tour guide was helpful and informative on the coach, but once the walk started we didn’t see them again until the end. Fantastic scenery though! Had a great time. The suspension bridges were fun, the first one was really high! Great shops and cafes at the end Highly recommended going.
