Malaga Shore Excursion: City Segway Tour

Simply perfect for 1st time visitors. Informative, fun and breathtaking views. Rose was ao nice. Very easy to learn how to use, and fun.

⭐️⭐️ Disappointing, Uninformative & Unsafe ⚠️ Little history — Distracted guide — Poor safety instruction This tour was extremely disappointing. I signed up expecting to learn about Málaga’s rich history and see key sites, but the guide provided almost no meaningful information and seemed distracted, often on their phone. We learned only a few basic facts in two hours, which is unacceptable for the price and what was advertised. I’ve booked many tours through Viator in destinations around the world, and this is the first time I felt genuinely let down. In comparison, I took a tour in Alicante just days ago — same length of time — and learned significantly more about the city, culture, and landmarks than I did here in Málaga. Safety was also a major concern. We were taken up steep hills near the castle with no railings and no proper training on controlling a Segway on challenging slopes. We shared the road with cars and buses without any guidance on how to navigate traffic, and at one point a bus passed extremely close. It felt genuinely unsafe and poorly organized. Overall, this tour was not worth the time or the money. Very little history, limited engagement, and serious safety oversights. I cannot recommend this experience unless the company significantly improves its safety training, guide knowledge, and overall tour quality.

Great city tour with stops along the way. It was my first time on a Segway and Anna and Cheyenne were very patient and helpful.

Anna, our guide was amazing! She was knowledgeable and a very good teacher in explaining the use of the Segway. Highly recommend this tour! It was a highlight of my whole trip!

An excellent and exhilarating experience. We were a group of four and, perhaps with it being off season, it was effectively a private tour. Anna, our guide was excellent and the route, sights and Segways were brilliant, enabling us to see so much of the city in the 2 hour tour.

A fun and great way to see the city!! Our guide was knowledgeable and accommodating!! We got lost and ended up being 15 mins late and we still got the whole 2 hour tour - thank you SO much! We would recommend this experience to anyone!

Our guide, Anna, was just great. She went above and beyond to help my husband when he had difficulty with his Segway. She showed us beautiful spots, including the beaches, the old city center, and the fort at the top of the hill. The views were amazing. She was assisted by an intern named Sophie. They are both so sweet and competent. The shop is easy to find right near the tourist information. I would highly recommend doing a Segway tour with them.

My guide was Sjoukje and she was a delight to deal with. Was very helpful in getting me acquainted with my Segway (first time rider). She knows a tremendous amount about the history of Malaga. She was very accommodating in making it easy to stop so I could get some photos. I would definitely recommend this excursion. I am 76 and had never been on a Segway before and it was so much fun. Go for it.

This was by far the best city tour I have ever done. The Segway was surprisingly easy to ride and it became easier as we rode through the streets to some fantastic sites and locations. Sjoukje has a fantastic knowledge of Malaga and her passion and enthusiasm enhanced the tour.

I absolutely loved my tour with George as my guide! I was having some issues with my knees and had to take more breaks than would have happened on most tours and he was very accommodating to my needs. George was very knowledgeable about the sights and history of Malaga. In two hours we were able to see most of the key sights that would have taken several days to see otherwise. Segways are such a fun way to explore the city. I highly recommend this tour!

So much fun and seeing so much of Malaga in a couple of hours. Our second time to Malaga and seeing so much more than Pn foot! Great tour and then time for tapas, shopping, and exploring!

Ivan gave us a great tour around Malaga. Riding on the Segways is a good way to see the city during warmer temperatures. We had never ridden Segways before but he gave us a tutorial then a few minutes to practice before we headed out. Ivan was a great tour guide he knew a lot about the city and showed pride in his hometown. He also gave us some tips on places to have lunch when we were done. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend Ivan.

Julia was amazing! Showed us tons of things we didn’t see on our walking tour. She was sweet, funny and patient and didn’t even get upset when I took her glasses by mistake all the way to our ship!! This was the most exciting part of our 15 day cruise!!

Very, very good Tour and a nice guide! We had a lot of fun! To ride a Segways easier as you think! I would like to do it again!

Never tried a segway before but my wife and i took to it like a duck to water. They are highly manoeuvrable and easy to use. After 60 seconds of apprehension there was no stopping us... By far tge easiest way to climb the hill to the castle! The 2 hr trip was ideal... The others would be too short. We were lucky that we were the only people booked so we had a private tour with our excellent guide Sjoukje. Not cheap but thats the fault of the weak pound :-)

We had a day in Malaga as a Windstar cruise port, and we are so thankful we began our day with a 2-hour tour with Sjoukje van der Heide. My wife and I are from the US, and our tour included an extended family from the Netherlands. Sjoukje could not have been more energetic and fun. She shifted effortlessly back and forth from Dutch to English to explain all the sights we were seeing, and between sights (when safe), we went faster on Segways than I ever knew they could go! We've had a lot of tour guides over the past 20-years, but its hard to think of one who was more fun, knowledgeable, and packed more into a short tour than she did.

After reading reviews and advice on TripAdvisor we booked up for the 2 hour segway tour and we were not disappointed! Our guide Sjoukje got us quickly used to the segways and took us on a fun adventure through the wonderful sights of Malaga. Sjoukje was great for answering all our questions and giving us recommendations for our stay (the cider bar was great, thanks). The time passed so quickly as we zoomed on our segways through the city, the park, the harbour and to the breathtaking views from the Castillo De Gibralfaro view point. We would highly recommend going on Segway tour with Segway Malaga Tours. You will be well looked after and it is a friendly and relaxed experience.

<p>Absolute Joy!! Must do!! We had the best time and covered so much distance in our 2 hour segway tour of Malaga. Segways are so easy to ride, it only takes 10 minutes of practice and you are good to go. Our guide looked after us and didn't put us in harms way. We saw so much of Malaga plus our Guide told us about the history of Malaga as we toured around. Can't wait to go on a Segway again.</p>

<p>Lots of fun we had a 2-hour tour and saw a lot of Malaga. Wish the guide had a microphone to share what we were seeing. The office was very easy to get to from our ship right in the middle of town.</p>

<p>So FUN !!! We had no previous Segway experience so we were a bit nervous. We were given instruction and a bit of time to practice beforehand. We covered ALOT of ground. The downtown area...the streets are very crowded, a wonderful hilltop overlook and the beach promenade. There is great seafood to be had there. A wonderful day and a super way to see all that Malaga has to offer.</p>

Sjoukje explains Segway usage well. Individual attention to this. Condition Segways: fine. There will be plenty of time to answer questions and explain during the tour. Cozy, fun! It was a very nice and eventful tour of Malaga with Sjoukje van der Heide. She explained the Segways well to us and always took care of us.
