A lot of different foods from what I usually eat. Everything was delicious! The sangria, seis+seis red wine and the vermouth were very good. Rosario was excellent!!! She knows everyone along the way and got us great deals. Well worth the price.

Nearby, you’ll be served a glass of wine or a small beer, along with a selection of savory tapas. You can choose between carrillada (tender pork cheeks) or atún (tuna), or opt for the rich flavors of chivo malagueño (goat stew), crispy chicharrones, or the succulent atún encebollado (tuna in onion sauce). To share, you’ll also taste half a portion of albóndigas (meatballs) that perfectly complement the tapas.
Plaza de la Merced is one of the most important and most ancient squares in town, existing since Roman times. It truly embodies Andalusian soul and hear you can see some surroundings monument such as the Monument to Torrijos or the house where Pablo Picasso was born. Nearby, at the next destination, dive into the essence of Andalusian cuisine with a selction of tapas, such as berenjenas al miel (fried aubergines with a delicious honey sauce) or anchovies! To accompany your dishes, enjoy a drink of your choice, rounding out the flavors of this authentic Spanish experience.

We had the most wonderful tour with Rosario. We were a large family group between 12-84 years old. Rosario paced the tour perfectly. We received a warm welcome from restaurant staff and market stall owners and felt like we were being shown hidden gems of the city. The tour felt like spending the day with another member of the family, full of warmth and laughter. We cannot recommend Rosario enough. With thanks xx
We had the most wonderful time with our guide Rosario. We were a large family group ranging from 12-84. Rosario paced the tour perfectly, we visited hidden gems, were welcomed warmly by restaurant staff and market stall owners and tasted delicious delicacies from the region. One of BEST food tours EVER! We did the private food tour for 4 of us and had Rosario as our guide. She is the best- energetic, informative, and took us to unique local spots. Definitely come hungry and leave satisfied.
We had a great tapas tour with Gabriela, who was terrific. We were a group of 6 and we visited 3 different tapas bars, which gave us an opportunity to walk the streets of Malaga. The city is really cool and the tapas were excellent. All different kinds and so much food! Definitely recommended.
We loved it. Grabriella was so friendly and personable. Plenty of lovely food and drink. Generous portions.
We absolutely loved the tour, it was amazing! Any food preferences were catered to, the guide, Rosario was an incredible person and was so knowledgeable! Rosario even organised for a cake to be brought out in one of our stops for my birthday! Each stop was excellent, truly can’t recommend this enough!
Very enjoyable tour, Jose was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a lovely time and would recommend this tour.
Went on the tapas tour today just me and my fiance. Jose was absolutely outstanding. Really knowledgable and likeable. His English was perfect and really charismatic. Would recommend this tour if you want to explore the real hidden gems in this city. Food and wine was beautiful but the star of the show was Jose. Top man and really good at his job. Thank you Jose

The food and drinks were so tasty and plenty of it ( do not eat breakfast). We will recommend to all we meet ☺️❤️
Jose was a wonderful host. He brought the entire city to life with his history, charm , and cultural knowledge of the region. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the beautiful real culture of Malaga with its architecture, food, and wines and knowledge of the city. Be prepared to walk at least 2 km through this beautiful city.

The tour guide was really friendly and was very knowledgeable about everything we passed and ate . It is an amazing tour and I would highly recommend. Written by Beth aged 12 Added by Jo (older than 12!!) absolutely fabulous tour loved by the whole family and the food was superb throughout.
We did the food tour with Rosarillo and two other guests. The tour was amazing, we had a great time going through the different stops staring with the market. There was plenty of food and drinks and great conversation throughout, we had a great host.
This was the best tour ! We sampled so many unique dishes from Malaga paired with wines! Our tour guide Rosarillo was so amazing. She is just a delightful person and the best guide.
We had people who were late and some with food restrictions but our guide went over and above to accommodate everyone the best she could. We started in the crowed market which is a little hectic eating, drinking and standing at 3 stops but well worth it and the next stops were more accommodating. Rosario did a great job let us know about the history and culture on our walk around to the stops. I highly recommend this tour!!
Our fun guide Rosario took us through the food market where we had our first tapas and wine. Then a walk through the city pointing out many historical sites. We stopped for tapas throughout the city accompanied with local wines. We highly recommend this tour and Rosario.
Rosario gave us a great tour through the central market and some restaurants. We erre able to enjoy some of Malaga's signature foods. While walking to the different locations she showed us many significant sights ad well as a history lesson.
We had an incredible market/food tour experience with Jose. We learned so much, and everything we tasted was incredible. We left very full and happy. We take food tours in all of our travels and this one was definitely a 5-star experience. Jose was a great guide, who we enjoyed meeting, and he gave us wonderful recommendations to enjoy throughout the rest of our trip. If we return, we would like another tour with him!
Amazing tour with Rosario! She went above and beyond, her knowledge of Malaga, the best places to visit and taste were excellent. We were stuffed with excellent food and wine all day. Thank you for making this a special day! Amazing!
Had a food tour with Esteban - it was just the 3 of us. From start to finish the tour was amazing. Esteban was so knowledgeable & the food was fantastic & so much of it too. Would certainly recommend, tried loads of things I’d never have ordered
It was my favorite tour of our trip Our tour guide Rosario (Charo) was amazing Her knowledge of the area and the food choices were fantastic
Rosa “Charo” Rilla was absolutely brilliant! She manages to make everyone feel like they’re special. The places she took us were great choices for exploring the local culture. You can tell she loves what she does and it shows how she interacts with the community. She knows everyone and it brings you into her own world. I really enjoyed her tour and recommend her for her knowledge and appreciation for local culture. Having an infectious personality is something to consider too.
Rosario was energetic and knowledgeable she helped us understand then meaning of tapas and took us down roads we would never have found.
Good food and lots of it. Plus, I drink with every meal plus knowledgeable tour guide. A bonus was a very fine walking tour of the historical city center
Our family recently did a food and drink walking tour in Málaga, and it was one of the absolute highlights of our weekend. Our guide, Rosario, was brilliant from start to finish. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the food we were tasting and clearly very passionate about it, which made the experience even more enjoyable. What made the tour extra special was that Rosario also has a real love for history. As we walked between stops through some beautiful and scenic parts of Málaga, she shared fascinating stories and facts about the city. It meant we weren’t just tasting amazing food, we were also learning about the culture and history of Málaga along the way. The food itself was exquisite, with generous portions of tapas at each stop, all thoughtfully paired with wine. Everything we tried was delicious and really showcased the local flavours. We were a mixed family group celebrating my mum’s 70th birthday, and Rosario handled our lively group wonderfully. She was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and made sure everyone felt included and had a great time. The whole experience was absolutely worth every penny, and our entire family would highly recommend this tour. Rosario truly made it special for us.
Jose was an interesting and knowledgeable guide to the city and its cuisine. We had a range of very tasty snacks all well described. We visited selection of venues (several of which we will revisit). The wines were very well chosen. This was an excellent tour and is very highly recommended.
Had a great tour with Jose. Very informative and knowledgeable of the Malaga food scene. Great locations to eat some fantastic food that we would not have tried before. Jose was good company and I would highly recommend this trip
We had absolutely the best food tour, Rosario was amazing and made the experience just fabulous, her knowledge of food and local history etc was unreal. We just had the most amazing time.
José was a great guide and gave us a large array of tasty bites! We left very full. My friend had to leave early to catch a train, so José took the extra effort to load her up with take away goodies from our last stop
Go hungry! Lots of good food and drinks with plenty of variety. Our guide, Angela, was terrific and informative.
We so loved this food experience with Angela! We would never try such great tapas ourselves. During the tour we visited different places and tried salads, meat and even deserts typical for Malaga. Timeline was perfect and Angela even gave us some info about the city. By the way, Angela is very open, active and great personality! Everyone will enjoy your with her! If you are doubting, than just take this tour. It really worth it and you will definitely enjoy!
I always love looking around the Market’s in Spain. This one in Malaga is not a disappointment. I love the colourful glass free. There’s so much choices of different food. Enjoyed a coffee just outside side of the Market
Angela was wonderful! Really gave us lots of great historical information about Malaga and ordered fabulous tapas for us to share at several fun stops.
This tour was an amazing tour, starting with our guide, Charo. She has the most amazing energy and is a wealth of knowledge. Her choices of restaurants and tapas were perfect, enough to give you a glorious taste of her city. She is well versed in history. She gave great suggestions of things for those who are staying longer. By the end of the tour, we were all familia!
Our guide was fun, very well informed and extremely helpful. As with food tours we have done in the past, we got to try foods and drinks we probably would not of encountered or attempted on our own and additionally we have a knowledgeable guide to show us around. I encourage everyone to do this tour.
Rosario was an amazing host for this food tour. She was so friendly and funny and so passionate about Malaga. She made us feel like we had made a new friend in Malaga. The food and drink was amazing and we were very happy to go with Rosarios recommendations which were all perfect choices. We learned a lot about the city and were given many recommendations of other nearby places to visit and restaurants to try. We also had a fantastic evening at Cafe de Chinitas with flamenco music which Rosario recommended. This is one of the best food tours we have done .. we had so much fun and I would recommend it to everyone. If Rosario is your guide you will be blessed.
Angela is a great tour guide She has a lot of local knowledge and introduced us to very tasteful local food She gave us a lot of tips for local restaurants and tips for places to visit nearby. Very kind and friendly person, who we shared a similar interest for good quality food. We would definitely recommend Angela as your tour guide 🍀🍀
Great time with Jose on a local foodie tour of Malaga. Great way to sample things I would normally not have found. José gave us a locals view of eating in the city. He did a great job.
We had never been to Malaga before and knew virtually nothing about the city, but after a few hours we had an understanding of the city’s history and its relationship with food.
It was an absolutely amazing experience to sample food in 4 locations in Malaga. Our tour guide on 14/10/2025, Jose, had an incredible depth of knowledge, offering clear information and catering well for food intolerances. We tried 15 types of tapas with 3 drinks, all of which were exquisite. We were lucky to be paired with a lovely group of Northern ladies, who made it fun. An exceptional tour and highlight of our trip.
The tour started at the Malaga market which is well worth the visit. While there we sampled some local delights. From the market we we were treated to tapas at a few tapas restaurants as well as seeing some of the sights. This is a walking tour but it was very easy and with the stops at different spots it wasn’t too strenuous. I really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it.
This food tour was amazing. Every spot had great food that we would not have thought to order ourselves. Angela, our guide, was very informative and friendly and with a group of only 6 people, it was comfortable and welcoming.
A great tapas tour with Jose Luis around the central district in Malaga. We visited some great eateries including g El Pimpi which was on our must eat there itinerary. Make sure you are hungry as this tour offers a huge amount of food! We had a really lovely group. Only 7 of us in total which allowed us to share a wide variety of dishes and tase some local wines. We do a food tour in most cities when we visit and this is one of the best we have been on.
We had such a wonderful experience on this food tour with our local guide, Rosario! She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about Málaga’s culture and cuisine. They shared fascinating stories about the city’s history while leading us to some truly delicious local spots that we never would have found on our own. What really stood out was how accommodating the guide was to everyone in the group—adjusting the pace, answering questions, and making sure all dietary needs were taken care of. The mix of food tastings, local wine, and cultural insight made this tour the highlight of our trip to Málaga. Highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to taste, learn, and explore Málaga like a local!
