Itinerary
The first thing that will stand out to you is its lopsided façade: the two bell towers are not the same height. Fondly nicknamed 'La Manquita', or 'One-Armed Lady' because of this. Inside the basilica, you can admire artistic masterpieces in various styles: from Gothic to Renaissance to Baroque. The cathedral's magnificent high altar and intricate choir stalls stand out amongst the artwork. They're not alone - find out the origins of one particular piece that is said to have been painted on elephant skin!

the cathedral was beautiful and inspiring the guide did a good job with the history. it was worth seeing.
Really interesting tour of some of the historic spots around the centre of Malaga which ended in the spectacular Cathedral. Very knowledgeable guides who made it really fun and interesting.
Our guide had difficulty communicating due to poor English Also seemed rushed Promised to explain things about the Roman colosuim but never did
Danni our guide was knowledgeable and fun. It was an excellent tour which i recommend if you want to get some history and have an enjoyable tour.
We assumed it would last around two hours. In fact it was rushed and lasted just over one hour. Waste of mineh
Really informative walking tour with our lovely guide, Kevin. He knew so much about the history of Málaga and was so friendly and inclusive. We did this tour on our first day which gave us a good idea of the geography of Málaga.
The cultural side was a bit disappointing. We were expecting more information on the history of Malaga. Concentrated too much on the cathedral. Difficult to follow and hear what the guide was saying.
Great walking tour with Malaga a Pie. Lourdes was a great guide. Perfect, clear English and delivered the interesting facts with passion yet gentle talk. Loved it. So glad we spent money on this rather than just doing it ourselves.
Reviewing this tour is problematic in that it was not the tour advertised on Viator. It may be corrected as of this writing, but the tour I booked was supposed to last 2 hours and, according to the confirmation I received, was to include admission to both the Teatro Romano and Alcazaba. However, it included neither. It only included admission to the Cathedral. In addition, the tour lasted exactly one hour (I timed it). As it turned out, the tour I DID go on was the second part of a larger tour - the first part of which DID include the other locations - so we had to wait for those people to show up. Once underway, we made several brief stops on the way to the Cathedral. These few stops were entertaining but did not really provide anything memorable. The real highlight was the Cathedral itself. The bottom line is that the tour I received was basically similar to what one would have if purchasing a typical "skip the line" entry but included our guide's interpretation. I would never have booked this if I'd known that is what it was. For someone who IS interested in a "skip the line" enrty to the Cathedral and a guided tour of the interior this is a fine choice. Our guide was funny and delightful. Just beware that the tour you book may not actually be the tour you get. To their credit, I did received a refund after filing a complaint.
Listening to all of the interesting information that Patricia shared with us. Finding new places that we didn’t know about.
The cathedral is interesting and the guide did a good job. I would have given this a higher rating; however, there were problems finding the guide who did not have a orange umbella.
From the title of this tour and it’s initial description, I expected to be shown the major sites of old Malaga - like the Teatro Romano - and finish with a visit to the cathedral. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He provided an excellent tour of the cathedral, for much less than two hours, and seemed to feel that this was all that was required of him. I rechecked your web site after the fact to see whether my expectations had been unreasonable and became more confused - as I scrolled down, the description was of a different tour entirely. I suggest that you work on your web site to avoid such confusion in future.
Heyy, hope my amazing tour guide enjoyed his artic monkeys concert , thanks so much for a great tour ( Turkish) Islamic guy ;) but grew up in Spain lol. Add me on Snapchat : saoirse_fjxox or instagram : Saoirse.f.j ( I was the girl Wearing the hat :) in the Irish group of friends, you are super hot
We enjoyed the tour as it allowed us to focus on the layout of Malaga, which can be confusing, without worrying about where we were. The guide was very informative and pleasant. The length of the tour was excellent and Malaga is fairly flat making for an easy walk.
Scheduled this tour for April 25th when we arrived in Malaga on a cruise. Was a short walk from pier to the meeting location Plaza de la Merced. Arrived 15 minutes early and waited 45 minutes. No guide showed up. Two couples standing there waiting..... Good news is Viator issued a full refund after some discussion. Very disappointing. First time we ever experienced a guide no show situation.
Arrived at the square (pickup location) 15 minutes before meeting time. Gave up a half hour after the meeting time. No tour guide ever showed up with an orange umbrella- even though we saw other tours with such guides. This was a real disappointment and would suggest avoiding.
A 2 hour scheduled tour which was curtailed to 1 hour 15 minutes for no apparent reason. Gandi the guide was pleasant and knowledgeable but the shortening of the tour is not right. Also, I was charged £16 over the stated ticket price and had to recover the money, time wasted.. As I say Gandi was fine but it all went wrong..
Fantastic city, many cozy winding streets with shops, terraces, restaurants, super atmosphere, near the harbor with beautiful ships- cruise boats and lots of food tents.....street entertainment and around the Christmas mega top
Very friendly guide and familiar with the history of what he presented to us. The visit to the cathedral is worth a visit
Powerful construction with only one tower (due to lack of money the second tower was not finished). Renaissance church made of light stone with very worth seeing choir stalls. Due to construction work, a visit to the cathedral roof and the view from the roof were not possible.
Magnificent experience, very complete visit to the Roman theatre, the cathedral and the cathedral, perfectly explained and very pleasant treatment received. I loved our Lucia Guide.
The tour is worth it. I highly recommend it. I was unfortunately a little late at the meeting point, called Customer Service and was able to join the group a little later. Very flexible. Thank you!
A visit to Malaga Cathedral must be one of the must-see places. The structure is Gothic with Renaissance influences, rich in details. To visit
I had the tour with Pilar, it was excellent!! He gave us a lot of information about the history of the city, suggestions for where to eat and many tips for visiting different places in the city!
Excellent tour, very well taken by Angela q informed us of aspects that one would not know of your account.
I have done the tour on Angela and I find her a very good guide, who is in love with her land and who knows her very well.
Many meters of height to cope with before you are at the top of the beautiful view and difficult surface it is (pavement). Make sure you have shoes with proper grip when you go down. But you can also take the bus from Plaza Nueva which goes towards the Alhambra. It is also an experience in the narrow alleys.
Tour enlivened by Angela in which she infected the love for her city, its anecdotes, culture, gastronomy, art and history. Renewable
A good option to get to know the historical center of the city, its history and curiosities. The guide was Lourdes, a super nice girl, attentive and knowledgeable.
Taking advantage of a 20€ return flight I left for this beautiful city that enjoys a beautiful and flourishing old town. Despite the tide of people that animates the city both day and night, I had the feeling that it is a safe city and I found it very clean, it is also not at all dispersive, all the points of interest are at hand. Malaga is well connected to and from the airport, with the metro located opposite the airport exit, blue line C1 you will arrive with very few stops at Alameda station within walking distance of the center. Buses also work very well. Beautiful view of Malaga at sunset from Ghibralfaro Castle. If I have to write down something that didn't excite me, it was the PICASSO MUSEUM.
Weekend Malaga is highly recommended. In no time, the button is to go from the hectic Dutch to the relaxed Spanish life, sun, paella, tapas, wine, fresh fish and of course siesta. The old town is very cozy because of the many restaurants and terraces. The culture is also worth seeing, many museums (Picasso), beautiful churches and the impressive Cathedral.
We did the 2 hour visit with the Candi guide, and loved it from the first minute! Very complete and excellent. We will definitely repeat!
Tour of the historic center with the Candi guide, discovering a city with great relevance historical and cultural
It is not the first time we have done a free tour in a city, in fact we have always had very good experiences. Although we knew Malaga we had never visited it with a guide. In this case, our guide was Raquel and it is rating that she loves her work as she explains it in a very didactic and enjoyable way. Undoubtedly a very good experience and certainly highly recommended.
We just made the visit with Queco. Great guide, cheerful and encouraging interest. To repeat
We were amazed by the beauty of Malaga’s well-kept and clean old town, the impressive size of the cathedral some parts are being restored, the Roman amphitheatre a few meters away is also very beautiful, then you can find many shops where you can buy everything and more, very original even the rooms furnished in the most particular ways.
We did the tour in the center of Malaga with Keko and I totally recommend it. Keko, very friendly and without being funny, took us through all the points of interest, combining extensive historical knowledge with more everyday anecdotes. It got very short and I managed to take an overview of the historical Malaga and today
We went to Malaga to watch a football match between Malaga-Albacete, we wanted to do some sightseeing and we booked a tour with these people so they wouldn’t teach Malaga. We were guided by Candy, friendly and knowledgeable Malaga and province. I explain in detail the stories where we were going. A great experience, if you go to Malaga I advise you to do a tour with these people, you will appreciate it.
We were guided by Rachel and she gave us interesting and very friendly explanations throughout the tour, making it very enjoyable. Price is will. Highly recommended.
How wonderful when you have to visit anything with a passionate guide for her work! A marvel Raquel, her eyes lit up explaining the history of La Alcazaba, she lived it and even moved you with her passion to remote centuries, it made you feel like you were there!. Congratulations to this company because you have a spectacular guide. Fantastic this girl!. Thanks Raquel.
It is an interesting site I liked a lot in this site is better with a good company some friends a boyfriend parents or brothers
It has been very nice and very good week the ligature is very nice and pleasant I would love to come back next year q
Thanks to trpadvisor and discovered that the center of Malaga is amazing, Melo and had a great time, it is a great experience especially because of how beautiful it is
A pleasant tour, with very enjoyable explanations of the Rocio guide, which we loved, and knew how to transmit the love you feel for your land
Excellent tour for when you have little time to know the city. Our guide Raquel very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended
The staff is nice, with good treatment and explains themselves slowly always taking care of the attention of the group. Excellent guide through the city center.
Our guide Rachel made our visit a real pleasure tomorrow. We visited Malaga on foot, the Cathedral, Roman Theatre and the Alcazaba. Raquel guided us with an enthusiasm that was infected by his empathy and professionalism. Thank you very much Raquel.
I live in Malaga and I found the visit great. The Raquel guide made our tour of the historic center full of anecdotes and cultural references and all this overflowing with sympathy. A lovely and pleasant visit.
Candy the tour guide has taken us through key points of the city, has been very explicit and friendly. Super Recommended!!
