Everything was very good except the meet and greet was a little late regarding itinerary and proceedings. We were left waiting and wondering how the experience was going to proceed. Overall, once it all started the lady owner, wine expert/maker was fantastic, explaining the process of grape to bottle/table and drinking. Highly recommend.
This place is amazing. We arranged the tour and lunch before leaving the UK. All communication was prompt and clear. We went for the Tour, tasting and lunch option and as we were staying in Ronda the vineyard booked us a taxi as well. The vineyard is extremely well run and has a very good organic methodology. The main focus is on low volume high quality output from the vines. It was interesting to learn how they use the altitude and climate to help with the production. The food with the tasting was more like going on a good tour than a wine one with a whole meal with matched wines. We left having learned a lot eaten, drunk well and with a couple of bottles to get home. We personal touch and superb product rank this vineyard as the best we have visited.
What a beautiful expérience ! The owner is amazing and so welcoming. The wine, the food and the ambiance are the best expérience in ronda. Thank you for everything !
This was such an incredible experience. We loved the tour of the winery, tasting teh wines and enjoying the tapas. We would absolutely recommend and do it again.
Excellent tour in family owned winery Genma gave us an ethousiastic explanation of the wine making. From taking care of the grapes, the harvesting and the process of making the actual wine. The tasting included 4 different red wines, 1 rosé and 2 whites. All these accompagnied with at least 10 different tapas. And tasting in this beautiful place was a treat on it’s own! I can only recommend with *****!
We had an outstanding experience at Doña Felisa today — easily one of the highlights of our time in Andalucía. The paired lunch and bodega tour struck a good balance between being relaxed and informative. The tour itself was engaging without being too detailed, giving a real sense of the passion behind the wines and the story of the estate. The lunch was exceptional. Each course was plentiful, thoughtfully paired, and not in a gimmicky way. Standouts were the reds, which had real depth and character, but everything we tried felt considered and well-executed. What really made the experience, though, was the atmosphere in a beautiful setting. Warm, welcoming, and unpretentious — it felt like being hosted rather than managed. No rush, no pressure, just a sharing of good wine and good food with postcard views. The group next to us were return visitors which speaks to the consistency of the experience. If you’re anywhere near Ronda, this is absolutely worth your time.
We had a fantastic experience. Genma is an excellent hostess, expert in the winemaking process and all aspects of hosting a tour and tasting. We strongly recommend choosing the full lunch option if it is available, we enjoyed one of the best meals in 4 weeks in Spain, accompanied by excellent wine. If you can coordinate a visit to the Bodega with a visit to the nearby Acinipo roman archeology site, it could be the highlight of your trip.
Genma is an excellent host in her winery, a lot of information and history, we taste some excellent red wine (petit Verdot)
The trip was most informative from soil to bottle explaining all of the different processes, organically, how to avoid pests naturally and the natural process of removing the skins. The wine was extremely smooth and the tapas pairings went down extremely well! Would definitely recommend!
Lovely winery. The wine tasting was good. A little disappointed with the tapas. Many things on crackers. We did enjoy the wine.
An amazing experience at the winery – warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a great tour followed by an excellent tasting.
Very informative tour at a family run winery! Learned so much about wine production and the challenges that go along with it. Great tasting wine!
This was a great tour with lots of information. The food pairing with the wine samples were also a great addition at the end of the tour. It’s at a higher elevation, so dress accordingly.
I definitely recommend this place if you are looking professional winery visit. The tour was led by the owner herself, so all questions were answered. We learned a lot about winemaking and the wine tasting itself was very well done. The farm was beautiful, the location is perfect and the wines from the farm were excellent. The easiest way to get there is by own car.
Family run bodega, producing really good quality local wines, which are recognised far and wide. There is a brief explanation of the origins of the winery, a short tour of the production process, culminating in a tasting of four wines and a variety of tasty tapas, in a welcoming dining room with a wood burner blazing away in the corner! (Well it was a chilly day in March!) Gemma was our hostess, and our only complaint was that she spoke very quickly in accented English, and was a little difficult to follow.
It was an enormous pleasure to see the beautiful land, learn about the winery's project, and taste six of their delicious and amazingly varied wines. This fully organic vineyard is a pleasure to look at, and the owners' mission, now over 25 years rooted, is an inspiration. As a USian, I admire the European culture's priority for craft and quality over profit-- do things right, people seem to say, and most likely there will be enough profit. The owners at Dona Felisa are exemplars of this approach, having learned their land and soil and microclimates as they gradually planted and learned through cultivating and harvesting what the land could so. They have planted and are operating for the long term., and producing marvels. Though the owners knew vineyarding and winemaking methods before they invested in this property, and they have needed to learn and are still learning how the grapes and terroir and climate, weather and time collaborate in vt and bottle. Their library of Dona Felisa wines is an impressive store of continuing knowledge in itself. And while the vineyard is not large, the hilly land produces grapes to create a surprising number of stunning wines. We got to try six, from a Chardonnay and a blush to two quite distinctive pretty heavyweight reds, and those do not exhaust the varieties they make. We got to try them with two delicious assortments of canapés chosen by staff to suit the wines-- not only tasty but enough for our almuerzo. Reservations are required, and the gates are opened at the appointed time. We have only one advisory, really: sometimes the wifi signal is too weak for it to be possible to pay for wines you purchase by credit card, so make sure you bring cash. I will be surprised if you don't want to take one home-- we did.
Wonderful scenery, interesting tour and lovely wine tasting combined with tapas! Would highly recommend to visit this tour
Just spent 2.5 hours at this amazing place. We had a tour and learned of their history and their wine making and then sampled 7 wines paired with an absolutely fabulous multi course lunch. We have done food pairings all over and this honestly was one of the finest.
A highlight of our trip to Ronda. This was an excellent vineyard tour. Gemna was a super guide, very informative and lovely to chat to. The wine tasting was delicious and varied, but the food was the real surprise!! We got the full lunch option and the quantity and quality of food was unexpected and outstanding. Proper homemade Spanish tapas, truly unique and delicious
- I have no idea how this place has such good reviews. First of all you have to drive up an un paved extremely bumpy dirt road for 10 minutes leading up to the winery- hopefully you don’t get a flat tire on the way there or back. The tour itself was extremely rushed, we could hardly understand anything our tour guide was saying. Once we got to the tasting we were SWARMED with wasps. One man in our group got stung. They were all over the tapas they gave us and we were stressed the whole time about getting stung. The tasting itself was also extremely rushed. She didn’t explain what we were drinking or any of the notes or how it was made or different from the other. Basically she just named the wine once and asked what we wanted. The wine was mediocre at best some of it was actually BAD. Would not recommend.
Fabulous trip to Doña Felisa vineyard. Interesting to see the whole process from the grape to the glass. Our host was great explaining all the different processes in English for us and in Spanish for another couple. Tapas with wine tasting afterwards was lovely, outside in the shade. Thank you for a lovely day.
Great addition to a girls’ trip from Ronda. Nice variety of wines and beautiful surroundings. Gemma was very accommodating and tailored the information and the experience to our interests. Would recommend!
We went on the tour of this beautiful Winery. Then we had a homemade lunch paired with the wine. It was an amazing day. We stayed overnight and it was truly a magical and peaceful experience. We took a nap on the lawn, Took walks around the vineyard. We watched the sunset with a glass of wine. I am still thinking of what a special experience we had here.
Awful experience with Gemma. Unfortunately, I requested if it was possible to get a taxi to collect us, and she offered us one at 70 Euros. We said it was OK as we would make alternate arrangements, this was lost in translation (when she decided to make contact 45mins after we text) and as we had set off , we didn't have WiFi hence didn't receive any of her messages till we got there, and omg did we know about it. She was not happy and said, What did my English response mean, blaming us for the mishap as I assume she called someone to collect us. The wine tour was ok, the wines were not great, the tasting tapas was nice and they even accommodated my partners food intolerance, so thank you for that. Unfortunately, I wouldn't personally recommend this trip, and I know there are others in the area.
The grounds are in a beautiful setting! The wine is wonderful and the tapas fantastic! We had a great tour and then great wine! The tapas were delicious and plentiful!
A passionate, knowledgeable and friendly host explained every aspect of the winery and answered questions patiently. The tasting that followed was generous and informative with lovely tapas. We really enjoyed the experience and wished we could have stayed longer.
Small and intimate group. Wines were very good and some lovely tapa to accompany them. Views stretched for miles, with the winery in an amazing setting and well worth the drive out. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to get stuck into the wine we took away. Some in the group had lunch and if I had known this was an option I would have gone for it. My fault for not researching a bit more.
Incredible experience full of gorgeous views, deep education, tasty bites, and delicious wines. Cannot recommend this enough. From the drive up through mountain roads to the tour of the beautiful grounds, we were whisked away to a completely different world and lost ourselves in the best way. Enjoy!
The tour of the faculty was good although we could not hear it as a foreign guide talked over everything our guide was trying to say so we were none the wiser by the end of it. There were too many of us at the same time and we felt like when it came to the tasting the outside clients were playing 2nd fiddle to the inside ones and it was just when someone remembered about us. The shop was not manned and we had to wait until the inside clients started drifting in to be attended to.
We went a tour with wine tasting, me and my husband bought online. A big group came later to our tour, with high priority. The rest of the group, 6-7 couples was down prioritized. No water, they hardly spent a couple of minutes to explane the different wine and local tapas. Another thing that really bothered me, that you couldn’t choose to glasses of different wine. My husband chose one kind and I the other??!! At a winery I think they can give paid customers at least to taste different wine! Another thing, we wanted to buy a sparkling wine and drink it there with a couple we met, but it was not possible. The high priority group got extra wine, sweets and all the attention. Very bad service! We have been to different wineries, choose another winery, there is plenty in Ronda!
Excellent wine tasting/tapas pairing. I’ve had tastings in Napa/Sonoma and Paso Robles in California as well as at several wineries France - this experience was one of the best due to the attentive host and the quality of the food and wine. Beautiful view and relaxing atmosphere. The winery also has pictures of ancient artifacts collected in the area. This tour and tasting was the highlight of my trip to Spain.
We had a great time. The knowledge and passion they demonstrate for wine are amazing. I will recommend this place to people like us that didn't too much about wine. We had the chance to taste 4 types of wines with a great variety of tapas.
Great way to experience some Spanish countryside while visiting Ronda. Our guide was great and did the tour in both English and Spanish. We enjoyed all the wines and tapas while sitting in the courtyard overlooking the vineyards. Go for the wine pairing option. The food looked great and you get to twisted all their fantastic wines. NOTE: BOOK TOURS DIRECTLY ON DONA FELISA’s WEBSITE There is an English tab . Super easy. We made the mistake of using TripAdvisor/Viator and the reservation/payment never made it to the winery. The winery was accommodating and added us to the full group. We have had good luck with Viator in the past but there is a disconnect in this case.
We booked our trip through Tiqets website. We arrived at the winery on the booked date/time, just to find out there was no tour! The owner told is it best to call to schedule a visit. However, she was very nice to accommodate to us and have us join a private tour scheduled that day. The private party did not have a problem at all for us to join! The tour was very interesting and the wine tasting with tapas was excellent! Definitely recommend this tour!
The guided tour was enjoyable and interesting, this was in English. The tapas were delicious. The wines we tasted were ok, the moscato was very nice and this is the one we enjoyed the most.
Went here for the tour with wine tasting. It’s of the beaten path so off-roading we went. Once we arrived at the winery we were greeted by a lovely dog and one of the owners of the winery. She guided us around and explained the process of wine making from a-to-z (both in English and Spanish). After the tour we were taken to the tasting room and had 4 wines, 2 white and 2 red, paired with there own tapas, and it was excellent! Due to bad internet connection paying by card can be troublesome so I recommend to pay by cash and don’t forget extra cash for buying some wine 😎
Genma was very informative and the tour was interesting. The tapas was tasty but more like canapés. Unfortunately we weren't so keen on the wines.
Gemma was very good at explaining the whole process from the growing ,pruning and fermenting of the wine .Then the bottling and the best but the tasting of the various wines ! Excellent value and great experience !
One of the many wineries in the area. The surroundings are beautiful. The winery tour and tastings were good. The price of the wines in the winery was higher than in Ronda :(
Fantastic visit at this super genuine vineyard. Top class guided tour with answers to all your questions about their wines and the production. Me and my friend had the pairing option. The food was plentiful and delicious.
Very interesting tour with so much information on the whole wine making process. Beautiful surroundings all capped off with some very appetising tapas and gorgeous wine tasting! Bravo Dona Felisa!!!! 👏👏🍷
The winery itself is fine, nice wines, creative. The tour was terrible. We were surrounded by hornets at the introduction and at the tasting. It was a miserable experience. The winery seems to do nothing about hornets. They were all over our food and our bodies the entire time we were outside. The tapas were merely crackers and toppings. It seems this tour is only for profit, and not for selling or tasting wine. The guide’s English was not really understandable at all and she spend as little time with the guests as possible. I cannot recommend it to anybody.
Really enjoyed our tour of the bodega. The wine & tapa tasting was good. The downside was we were sat at the table with a bunch of really unpleasant people who were rude, had no manners & who were smoking at the table & putting their cigarettes out on the plates ! There were a large amount of wasps which distracted you from the guests at the table which was a plus !
Started our holiday in Spain with some days in Ronda. During our planning we decided to go for a wine tasting recommended from one of our friends. Found this place by accident and we do not regret it a second. We were greeted by our host Genma who showed us our rooms for the night. Super nice and comfortable rooms. Started our guided tour in the winery were we got an indepth explanation on their wines and process to produce them. As a grande final we had our wine tasting with tapas matching their wines. All top notch and well tasting. After the tasting our host told us that it was time for her to leave us for the night. We hardly believed what we just heard. A night with our friends in their bodega. Great night watching a beutiful sunset and later the stairs from cloud free skies. Absolutely stunning. After a good nights sleep we managed ourown breakfast before leaving for new adventures as recommended by our host. First the Roman theater nearby and then off to Setenil de las Bodegas.. Strongly recommend a visit to Bodega Doña Felisa.
Lovely wine tour. We enjoyed everything about it: nice and informative host, beautiful setting, amazing wines, delicious tapas. Bonus: Tinto the dog :)
The tour and wine tasting / pairing was excellent. Highly recommended. Very clear and very interesting tour of the estate and wine making process. The tasting of the with excellent tapas was perfect.
The wine and tapas were amazing! The only thing I wish we would have done differently is to specify that our tour was ONLY in English. I wholeheartedly admit that by my Spanish language skills are insufficient! But my whole group is trying hard to learn and practice. We are all sincerely interested in wine production. it was a bit difficult for the guide to say everything- and answer every question- in two languages… but she did GREAT! We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed it. We left with several bottles!!!
Set in a beautiful isolated area the vineyard is stunning. We were met by the owner and the tour began. Very interesting without being too long and the wine and tapas was fantastic. Great value for money and great wines
Friendly, informative and relaxed tour of the vineyard and winery followed by tasting with tapas. Excellent selection of wines - white, rose and red. Visit was in English which we appreciated. Insufficient room in our cases to take home a supply.
