Well worth a visit. We went early and found a spot to park without any hassle. English tour with Cintia at 1015. She was full of interesting knowledge about the monument and kept my 5 year old engaged too.

We passed this via taxi from airport and decided to visit whilst staying and we wasn’t disappointed. We got the 121 bus from the Puerto marina and the fare was €3.50 (€1.75 each) to the old town BENALMADENA PUEBLO had a look around the town and then a 20 minute walk to the castle ( downhill) when we got there it was €3 to get in or €2 if over 65. Views were loverly and the workmanship was excellent. We spent almost 2-3 hours there and there is a shop for food and drinks at reasonably prices. The chocolate a little step twice €2. Once done it takes longer to get back almost 45 minutes (up hill). Then you can get another bus to Mijas

Although I don't morally support the idea of Christopher discovering America,the place was a piece of art and a combination of puzzles that need solving.but our lovely bubbly lady guide Cynthia knew how to make the tour extremely interesting. And I appreciate the fact that a family from our group booked the wrong date but she was very understanding and welcome them in our group.it was a very interesting place to see.and the view from up top are amazing.the ivory for vultures is a nice bonus and being able to enjoy a can of Guinness while enjoying the views is a one off .

This is not a real castle. More of a monument. The tour was well guided and the girl did her best to make a very mediocre “castle” as interesting as possible. The snack bar was pretty cool, but this “castle” seemed more like a prop that you might see at a nice playground for children.

Interesting guided tour. We got information we wouldn’t have got on our own. The castle was quirky and very interesting.

If you are a history lover, be aware that Castillo de Colomares is a monument built in 1980s-1990s by an enthusiast doctor who wanted to pay a tribute to Christopher Columbus and his discoveries. Although a perfect background for social media-posted pictures, there is no real history in it and it has nothing to do with C. Columbus.

We spotted this from the top of the hill and decided to walk down. It cost 3 euros each to enter and spend time there. You can take some nice photos. They give you a qr code doc to use at each point to give you information. Take in the view. There is a cafe for refreshments.

The guide made it an interactive experience from start to finish. Along with such great knowledge of the subject matter.

No need to visit this. Was much smaller than expected. It was built in the 1990s. Thought it was more than what is was

Views and the building were amazing but ruined by the hundred of Instagrams who kept taken the same photo over and over and kept the rest waiting.

It was a really beautiful view!! Cynthia who was our tour guide was really informative and friendly and told us a lot about the history of each chapter of the castle! We got to learn a lot and it was really exciting!! Also Cynthia even offered to take pictures of us which was a really nice gesture from her!!

Second time in as few months to Benalmadena. Loved it, stayed at Las Arenas Hotel, spotless, food great, staff amazing and evening entertainment very good. Visited the cable cars, butterfly Park, Buddhist temple, Mayas twice and the lovely Marina twice. We have fallen in love with this place. So easy to get around by bus or train, weather fantastic, and plenty of pubs and beaches. The area around Las Arenas was flat, which suited our mobility needs.

We had had a great time! Our tour guid was very informative about the whole property. Definitely recommend!

The tour was excellent! Cintia did a great job explaining each chapter of the book Of stones in English. We were grateful we chose this tour and can’t recommend it enough!

Very nice location. Highly recommended. In the small coffee, there is good coffee . Being there before 10 am is recommended ,otherwise the parking is occupied . We loved it.

The visit great, enjoyable and interesting. Cintia knew what she was talking about and very nice. What I didn't think was right is that knowing that the reservation was with 2 children, one of them 5 years old, also charge the guided tour, but otherwise I advise without hesitation.

I visited Colomares Castle. A place with a special charm, which will not leave the visitor indifferent. I traveled to the time of the discovery of America, knowing Christopher Columbus’ links with this incredible monument of Benalmadena.
