Gibraltar Private Tour From Malaga And Surrounding Areas

The experience was amazing. Nikolai picked us up and drove us to the boarder. He bought us breakfast escorted us to the boarder. Tareak the guide was waiting for us on the other side of the boarder. He was very knowledgeable and took us to all of the great sights. He explained the history of Gibraltar and gave us all the time to see the caves and walk up to the top of the rock. I had an injured foot and they were very accommodating. I will recommend this tour to other people visiting Gibraltar

We were picked at our hotel in Malaga very early in order to avoid the cruise ship crowds. After a quick breakfast stop, Our lively driver Nicholai dropped us off at the border with instructions on where to meet our guide inside Gibraltar. Youssef was our guide inside. He picked us up and drove us to a viewpoint then efficiently maneuvered the vehicle up the preserve with clear instructions at every stop. We visited the caves, saw the monkeys, the views were gorgeous. Don’t skip the World War II tunnels or the stunning views at the balcony within! We then walked down to the city center where we had a delicious lunch at Cheers before walking across the runway back to the border and crossing over to meet Nicholai who was patiently waiting for us. He played old Disco songs on the way back -my favorites ! and offered us delicious drinks. The only tour guide who did this on this trip. All and all it was one of our favorite tours. The van was air conditioned and very comfortable. The drinks were cold and much appreciated on this warm day. Highly recommend touring with this company. Well run and a lot of fun. Loved it so much we took another excellent previously unplanned tour with Nicholai the next day.

Our guides Jesus and Tariq were fabulous: on time, friendly, patient and knowledgeable. We got to hold the macaques and had 2 hours to shop after the tour before heading back. Would highly recommend!

The best part of this trip : Tour guide - Sara , the bus travel from Malaga to Tangier .. The boat to Ceuta was also quite nice . Once we were in Morocco , it was a good start .. the local guide was informative and took us around the city square . Then he took us to the market that houses 1000+ streets and built in 14 th century .. it was a never ending maze . We could see the people and their daily lives inside the market … but I felt it was a bit of a stretch .. it could have concluded an hour earlier and we could have visited the main town area more . After a lot of turns and twists inside the ever winding labryint it was getting a touch bore … The people were quite good and the return trip was also quite nice .

We had a wonderful trip to Gibraltar. Our driver, Pepe was fabulous and made sure that everything went smoothly. Our guide Joseph in Gibraltar was very knowledgeable and friendly. The stops were all very interesting. We wished we wood have had more time in the Siege Tunnels and WWII tunnels. All in all a great experience!

I can't give an honest review for this excursion due to a mix up with our passports but Jose was amazing and made our day just as special.

The private tour from Malaga to Girbraltar was fabulous. Jose gave our guide and driver from Malaga to Girbraltar was kind, sweet and courteous. He was great with communication and made sure we were well taken care of during the round trip to and from Malaga. When we reached Girbraltar we had Joe as our guide and he was knowledgeable, interactive and made sure our 79 year old father was taken care of at all times. I highly recommend doing this tour. You will be amazed at the wonders of Gibraltar and the people. The history and nature experience including the monkeys was top notch.

Great service, well organized. We opted for a Private option, so it was just the two of us and we prefer that flexibility. The guides really allow you to enjoy the day at your own pace and see what you want. The driver picked us up at our hotel in Malaga and delivered us to the border at Gibralter, where we breezed through and met our guide on the other side. So happy we had a driver! Steep and narrow streets! The monkeys were so fun to watch. Loved the cave and enjoyed an ice cream as we strolled. Our guide was very knowledgeable and recommended a fantastic Fish and Chips spot in town near where the driver was meeting us to take us back to our hotel. (Roy's, near Burger King in the large market square).

The van guy showed up and said he would drop me off at the Gibraltar border and not take us for a guided tour why would I pay $600 for a drop off ? I cancelled the tour and he and viator better refund my money

This was an awesome experience. The Gibraltar guide was very knowledgeable and gave an outstanding tour of Gibraltar. We were very impressed by the cave, the tunnels, and the friendly monkeys. We enjoyed the free time in town where we got great ice cream and some souvenirs. Highly recommend this tour.

This was an amazing way to see and do all that Gibraltar has to offer in just one day from Malaga! Door to door service was seamless and a huge time saver thanks to our amazing driver Mohamed. Yusuf, was our private guide throughout our time in Gibraltar. Born and raised there! He listened to our wishes and made them all come true. He took us to all the attractions, gave us some options, and allowed us to take our time and enjoy the views and get some great photos! We really appreciated the thorough history and background of Gibraltar along the way. Traveling in off season was fantastic as we felt like we were the only ones on the Rock! Driving in Gibraltar should be left to the locals and guides, trust me;) This was an amazing experience and something we would not be able to do with limited time and complicated logistics. We had a perfect day!! The van was luxury all the way!! Mohammed and Youseff were top notch! We did a private tour for 5 and loved it! The cave was cool, the monkeys were cute and the town had everything you could want. We were surprised by how diverse and how small Gibraltar was. We all thought it was bigger. We learned a lot.

Mohamed does a great job making a trip to Gibraltar stress free and filled with experiences. Love the trip and definitely worth the cost of the private tour. I would recommend that you ask him to customize your trip to the experiences you would like to do in Gibraltar. For example, the trip allowed time for shopping in the city area.....but it was a Sunday and many of the stores were not open, so shopping and spending time in the city was not that interesting. Also, we are not big shoppers when we travel. We would rather have spent time on additional sightseeing options. So think about what you would like to customize on the trip and ask for those things on the tour.

Eduardo met us at the port at the appointed time and we spent a pleasant two hour drive with him to Gibraltar from Malaga. He pointed out several interesting things along the way. He guided us through immigration to enter Gibraltar and met us on the other side to lead us to Tarek who was an absolutely delightful guide. From the Pillars of Hercules to St. Michael's Cave to the top of the Rock and the Siege Tunnels inside, he provided entertaining stories and facts of what we were seeing. And all along we were accompanied by the Barbary Macaques, the monkeys. We had lunch and then returned with Eduardo to our ship with time to spare. Wonderful day!

The light show in St Michael's Cave exceeded our expectation and we could easily have lingered longer. This was followed by the Siege Tunnels...the historical documentation within the tunnels added great value to this visit. We'd highly recommend this highly organised, informative tour.

This was the most amazing tour! Pepe picked up our group of 8 at our lodging in Fuengirola and drove us the Gibraltar. Along the way he told us all kind of things about the area and how the day would work. He helped us get through passport control and turned us over to Yusef who took us to the sites in Gibraltar. He also told us great things about the area and gave us a great recommendation for lunch during our free time in Gibraltar. The whole experience greatly exceeded our expectations!

This is the best day trip we have done from Malaga, and it was well worth the money! Right from the start, our expectations were exceeded. Pepe contacted us the day before and let us know he was moving the pick up time up by an hour so that we could avoid the crowds. During the drive, Pepe pointed out so many interesting sights and explained so much to us about the areas we were driving through and the culture there! He stopped for photo ops before we got to customs and walked us through the process of customs clearance. Our guide Tarik was excellent! He took us to so many interesting sites and gave us ample time to see the sites and take lots of pictures. He explained alot of the history to us and he was polite, entertaining, and courteous. We were so happy that the tour start time was moved up because we were able to see everything without alot of people around and take pictures everywhere we wanted without having to wait for people to move out of the way. It was such a relaxing, fun tour! This tour included everything we wanted to see and we were very happy that we booked it. Sunday is the best day to do this tour because there aren't long lines to cross the border and most of the shops in town are closed so you can walk around without crowds. We had such an awesome time and Pepe and Tarik were friendly and professional - the best guides. Highly recommend this tour!

This tour was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Our driver, Eduardo, was very friendly and professional and Tarik, our tour guide did an amazing job. He was so knowledgeable of Gibraltar, took so many pictures for us, and gave us an experience with the monkeys we will never forget. I cannot recommend this tour enough!

Every detail was handled professionally. Our guides were amazing. The transfers were seamless and easy. Do not listen to anyone who tells you that you can not get a passport stamp in Malaga. You just need to go to the police station in the main cruise terminal on the 2nd floor and they will stamp your passport. The cruise ship and the guards try to tell you you can not get it done but that's not true. It was very easy.

We had a wonderful visit. Our tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The highlight of our visit was playing with the barbary monkeys. The monkeys were very friendly and happy to pose for photos with us. We could have hung out with them all day!

This tour was wonderful! We didn’t know what to expect from Gibraltar but it was surprising, interesting, and unique. Our Malaga tour guide, Mohamed, was AMAZING!!!! This tour was the 3rd one with him as the guide and we couldn’t have been happier. He knew our needs and likes and communicated them to the guide in Gibraltar ahead of time. We travel frequently and only book private tours. Our experience with Mohamed and this tour company has been the best! They really want to make sure you are happy comfortable and you enjoy the tour. We will miss having them on our next vacations. The bests tours we have had!

This was our second tour with our transport guide, Mohammed, and we enjoyed our time together. He was punctual and got us to Gibraltar early enough to avoid some crowds. Our tour within Gibraltar was Yusef, who took us to sites all along the rock, and who knew all the tricks to get the baby monkeys to hang out with us! It was a fun excursion!

Our driver from Malaga (Bienvenido) was wonderful and on time for pick up. He navigated us through the border crossing. (don’t forget your passports), he shared some good stories about the region of Spain. We were staying in on the drive over. We met our Gibraltar tour guide Tariq immediately on the other side and jumped in his van. As a local, he knew his way around extremely well, was very entertaining and informative during the tour. And the monkeys were possibly the highlight of the tour. Tariq knew the monkeys got some peanuts out. I was able to get the monkeys on my shoulders in my husband shoulders for some great pictures. Everything was very smooth and enjoyable. Would HIGHLY recommend!!

Our Gibraltar guide was amazing. Great value. Exceeded expectations. Our driver from Malaga was terrific.

We're giving the tour 4 stars for only one reason. First, Pepe was a fabulous guide and driver. He deserves 10 stars. We took the tour to Gibraltar from our cruise ship. On the way to Gibraltar Pepe gave us a good explanation of what we were seeing and what to expect for the day. 2 hours later we arrived at customs to enter Gibraltar from Spain. We were denied entrance because we did not have the customs stamp enter Spain. Something our cruise line had no knowledge of. Nor did the tour company. Apparently the rules had changed. Despite Pepe's effort, and the effort of the tour company, there was no entrance. Pepe did a great pivot and guided us around the various scenic places on our way back to Malaga. The tour company graciously gave us a 50% refund. While we didn't get to go to the rock, the day was full of fun! Thank you, Pepe!

This tour was a lot to cram into one day but thanks to Eduardo and Abdel we had a really great experience. The drive down to the border was smooth and Eduardo gave us lots of information along the way. He made the border experience uneventful. On the Gibraltar side Abdel proved a real professional. He soon recognized what was important for us to experience and made that happen. Overall, a great trip.

We enjoyed the excursion in Gibraltar. However disappointed in the transfer process. We thought we would hear a lot more about the areas we were driving through.

I enjoyed exploring Gibraltar at our own pace and did not feel rushed when taking a little longer than the allocated time. Eduardo was our driver to Gibraltar, I felt safe and comfortable throughout our journey there and back. Eduardo provided me with a wealth of information about Malaga its history and culture. I definitely would recommend this tour and look forward to booking with Eduardo in the future for tours in Spain.

Excellent experience. Pepe and Abdel made the trip seamless and we loved the experience (family of 5 with y.a. children). Really this is the best way to experience Gibraltar.

The car, it was a big van for three people. Unfortunately the guide was sick and coughing but she was good about history but we did not want to ask her too many history questions since she was coughing. We had to walk from city center in Gibraltar to the border on the way back. There were so much of local transport near the border. So I don’t understand why they did not drop us near the border. We paid 900 dollars 10 times more than regular tour. What is the difference. I would really like to get some refund. I changed from 90 dollar to 600 dollar to 900 dollar tour. I still don’t understand the difference.

Do not hesitate to book this trip. Really unique experience and Pepe in Spain and Abdel in Gibraltar were amazing. They made the entire experience so seamless. Our family of five (3 Y.A. children) all loved it. Pepe gave just the right amount of info on the drive to Malaga, and handed us off directly to Abdel, who gave us a lot of information about Gibraltar and specific instructions at each of the stops. Some family members don't usually enjoy caves or heights, but both were no problem. The monkeys are great. After seeing many cathedrals, mosques, beautiful old towns, fortresses and palaces throughout southern Spain, this was a much needed different experience.

Gibraltar was a complete surprise and blew me away. Beautiful country! The trip was executed in an excellent way - driver was on time, van was comfortable and it took 90 mins to get to the border. Immigration was smooth (but ensure you have the right visa to enter and exit). Our local guide Tarik made our trip fun. He was friendly, engaging and shared a lot of fun facts about the area. We enjoyed our afternoon with him. At the end we had 90 mins to stroll on our own, get lunch, browse through the local shops etc. Overall, a fun day and great way to experience Gibraltar.

Everything was perfect. Picked up on time. Everything went as expected. I don’t know how anyone would want to do Gibraltar in one day without this tour! Don’t try and do it solo.

We were collected from apartment right on time, vehicle was really nice and clean. On the way to Gibraltar we got a good commentary on what we were looking at. It was about a 2hr drive to Gibraltar. When we arrived we were taken through immigration and handed over to a specialist guide of Gibraltar. He was extremely informative, possibly could of driven a bit slower and was difficult to see all the sights from the back seat. We were taken almost to the top much further than if you were on a bus or on your own. The cave we went through and the views from the top spectacular. Would highly recommend this tour

My family came back raving about their experience in Gibraltar. The historic sights! The monkeys! And more than anything, the kindness and attentiveness of their tour guides. My husband said they were truly remarkable. Mohammed and Dodo treated my family like royalty and were focused on making every single aspect of their experience the very best it could be. My husband and daughters could not have loved it more! Their only regret was not having time left in Spain to book an additional day trip with them. Highly recommend!

Edwardo picked us up at our hotel at the precise time he said he would be there. He spoke excellent English, and was extremely informative and wonderful to listen to on our ride to the boarder and back to our hotel. Edwardo was very helpful with guiding us through customs and with our meet up with Tarik in Gibraltar. Tarik was equally informative and a pleasure to be with throughout our tour. This was a fabulous experience, thanks to Edwardo and Tarik!!

We had an amazing time. Both of our guys were fantastic, Transportation was upscale and comfortable the whole way through. Joanna and Tarik were both fantastic.

Well organized and very enjoyable. Eduardo, our driver walked us across the border to customs, and then Tariq took over for the tour. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Would strongly recommend a tour like this since getting through customs would take a long time with a car, and major limitations with a car rented in Spain. In addition, only the tour guides allowed to drive up the rock. Did have plenty of time to see the monkeys too!

What a day! Johanna picked us up in Malaga at 7am and drove us to Gibraltar. The recommendation to leave early was a great idea. We missed the crowds and had no issues at immigration. Johanna got us into Gibraltar quick and easy. There we met Tariq, a local. He drove us throughout Gibraltar, but most importantly up and around the rock. He was very knowledgeable about the area and especially with the monkeys. They clearly know him and he definitely knows them so we were able to get great pictures. His lunch recommendation was also really good - Bianca’s down in the Marina. When our time in Gibraltar came to an end, Johanna got us back in a timely manner so we were still able to enjoy one last night in Malaga. This is our 3rd excursion with AparTrips. I highly recommend them.

Went on a day trip, was bigger than I expected, so much to see, the trip up the Rock was amazing, grandson enjoyed it,had a picture with the apes, I stayed well back, the mini bus driver very informative and obviously loves Gibraltar.

This was a more last minute type of decision to run and see Gibratar while in the South of Spain in Malaga. It was a fun day trip and the guide was excellent - as was the driver from Malaga to Gibrator and back. The driver drives you down there, crosses the border with you and then you meet the tour guide across the border. The tour guide was EXCELLENT. We had two very energetic kids 4 and 9 boys - and he did a wonderful job keeping them entertained. He also was key in taking the very important monkey pictures! He visits there so often the monkeys know who he is! We felt like we got a good overview of the town and had time for some all-important shopping. This tour isn't cheap, but if you can afford it - it is a good full day. On the way out - you get to cross the airport and take pics on the runway and great pics of the big rock!

Tarick in his Taxi was wonderful. Lifted wheelchair into taxi. Drove the narrow roads of the Rock with skill, charmed the monkies and gave us a great trip. Most places were semi accessible by wheelchair. When Eduardo collected us for return to Malaga had to walk kilometers to get back to Spain...not good!! Overall a great trip at the Rock.

We had an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable and entertaining, and gave us a great insight into life in Gibraltar as well as taking us to all of the sights.
