We had a great experience. Our guide was very good and full of energy.

Itinerary
It’s your time, your plan. Ride the cable car to the Top of the Rock for two-continent views and easy access to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, dip into St. Michael’s Cave, trace history in the Great Siege Tunnels, or test your nerves on the Skywalk and the Windsor Suspension Bridge. Prefer street vibes? Wander Main Street and Ocean Village, mix duty-free shopping with a relaxed lunch. Keep an eye on the Barbary macaques—great for photos, not for sharing snacks. All optional; tickets for Cable Car/Nature Reserve are not included and can be bought on site. (currently closed for renovation) Departure from Gibraltar to Mijas: The bus will wait up to 5 minutes at each stop. Latecomers will not be waited for.
Switch gears to Mijas Pueblo, a white-washed hill town with flower-decked lanes and pretty plazas. Wander the cobbled streets, reach the Mirador de la Muralla for coast-to-mountain views, and peek at the oval bullring. Browse artisan ceramics, leather and local sweets, or dip into tiny chapels and viewpoints. Want it low-key? Grab a café con leche or gelato on a sunny terrace and watch village life drift by. Free time—do as much or as little as you like. Departure from Mijas to Málaga: The bus will wait up to 5 minutes at each stop. Latecomers will not be waited for.

This trip was just what i was looking for: driving us to and taking back from Gibraltrar. Didn't care much about Mijas (tourist shops/traps and some nice views to compensate). There was no other options for me to get there conveniently otherwise. Once in G, our guide told us about a few options on how to get to the Natural reserve. Literally the only thing i cared about in G. I took the shuttle, luckily no much time wasted in waiting, which took us to St Michael's caves, which is sort of midway on that mountain. From that, i hiked to the G rock and the glass platform. Try to do the highest point first and then work all other things down from there. Forget climbing all the way from down to up unless you are in athletic condition and you have all day for that. We had 4,5 h for whatever we wanted to do in G. That was just enough. I skipped the suspension bridge, ran rather fast through that barracks but saw the monkeys, African coast and other breathtaking views, and the Moorish castle. Very happy with what i managed to do. I think i would not have enjoyed as much had i taken a taxi that takes pple from 1 spot to another. Hiking is part of the experience if you can handle it. Ran super fast through the main street in the city but there was not much interesting things there.
It was a great tour thanks to JJ for being an excellent guide. He provided us with all the information and expectations all along. The tour gave us ample time to explore both Gibraltar and Mijas.
Our guide was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The driver was also excellent, making the journey comfortable and smooth. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and would highly recommend it to others!
JJ was excellent. He did a great job with time management and made sure we had options in Gibraltar to get the full experience.
great tour overall. meeting point needs to be more clear as its a train station. best tour glad we did it
Good trip, possibly an hour too long in Gibraltar but good value day out. Bus was comfortable, your guide very good
Very interesting place, learned so much and had a great day out. I would happily return. The tour guide was fantastic and set me and others up on a taxi tour, which I highly recommend you try, as it was run by a local who knows not only the route, the history, and how to interact with the apes/monkeys. We then finished the day with a trip to a little town, which had character and was a perfect wind-down to the day.
FYI. This isn’t a guided tour. It’s purely transportation only. You get a pdf with sights for Gibraltar, and you are on your own. The WhatsApp channel and their direct number are operated by bots. If you need help in the morning, you are out of luck. The tour details is misleading.
Gibraltar is a great trip. The Nature Reserve is worth the time and shopping and a snack in city center is worth the time
Overall, it was a great experience. If you’re not comfortable with steep walks or hiking, I recommend taking a taxi. It’s a much easier and more enjoyable way to reach the main attractions in the park. It’s worth the money.
We highly recommend this tour! Everything was super well-organized—the bus arrived right on time, and the pickup point was incredibly easy to find thanks to the clear directions we received. Big shoutout to our awesome driver, too! Our guide, Fernando, deserves a special mention. He was absolutely amazing! He shared so much history about the places we passed, packed with cool trivia and funny facts. He made sure everyone knew exactly where and when to meet up, so the whole group felt really well taken care of. A guide like him is an absolute gem for the company—he definitely deserves a bonus! 😁 We had plenty of free time in Gibraltar to explore the famous nature reserve, enjoy the stunning views, and see the friendly monkeys. On the way back, we stopped by the beautiful town of Mijas, which offered some more breathtaking views. Overall, we had more than enough free time throughout the day. Thanks for a great trip! Best regards, Kasia & Konrad
An exciting time exploring the Gibraltar area and then beautiful Mijas! The taxi ride maneuvering up the tiny streets to view the Rock of Gibraltar is definitely the way to go!! Many stops to see beautiful sites, see Africa across the Mediterranean Sea, the caves walk-thru, and some very entertaining Macaque monkeys! Then we had time for lunch & shopping before heading to the next stop, beautiful Mijas filled w/white-washed buildings, donkeys, and panoramic views that would be hard to beat! ANA was the best guide we’ve had in all of our excursions so far in Spain! Highly recommend!
The tour itself was great! Our guide, Chris was fantastic! We were "those people" who lost track of time and didn't get back to the bus on time in Mijas. Chris called us and waited for us to get back. I can't say enough about him. My only complaint is that the bus was terrible. It was cramped and the air conditioning didn't work well, so it was really hot and uncomfortable. For such a long drive, they need a bus with working air conditioning. Overall, even with the uncomfortable bus, I'd recommend this tour.
Excellent trip. Very helpful. A little unclear whether at correct collection spot as no signage. Early pickup but no food and drink allowed on bus ... ensure you have breakfast/coffee before pickup. Despite that the trip was great. Tour guide very knowledgeable and funny.
The hidden cost of entering the Rock and getting their. This was not disclosed to us. During the tour no opportunity to see the rock clearly from the Spain side nor photograph it. It was disappointing. Even when I requested the tour guide for a quick chance to photograph the rock, it was denied with an excuse that we had to go.
We were kept informed of the pickup point and a reminder of bringing passports. The bus turn up on time and the two guides were excellent. We had a full day in Gibraltar and then on to Mijas,(it would have been nice to have more time there) but it was a lovely trip, despite some passengers getting lost, Christian and Juan Miguel were very calm and professional.
Very well planned, informative trip. Our tour guide, JJ, was wonderful. He taught us a lot ot great facts and history, had tips on where to eat and what to see, and helped arrange taxi tours of Gibraltar, for anyone that wanted it. Thr drive was comfortable to and from the sites. Mijas was a beautiful small town, with nice shops and great views. Went with kids, and kids enjoyed it also!
Great trip, very enjoyable and Ramon the tour guide is excellent! I'd absolutely recommend booking it if you can!
Informed guide, clear instructions, great schedule, lots to see and do. No hotel pickups so more time at destinations.
Check weather today our tour is a bit unfortunate n no luck to see the ocean across africa n Mediterranean Sea n more
Although the weather wasn’t the best, we still had a great time on our Gibraltar and Mijas day trip. Lots to see and we were particularly pleased with our guide, JJ, who made the day extra special by sharing interesting bits of information as we travelled to and from the sites on our journey. JJ is very knowledgeable about Spanish history and culture as well as Gibraltar history and he has an engaging manner when imparting his knowledge. Our driver was great and got us to destinations safely. Much appreciated!!! We highly recommend this experience.
Excellent tour. Informative and lots to see. JJ was a five star tour guide and our driver, Mr Chacon (not sure of name) got us there and back safe and sound. Very comfortable and clean bus. The van operator who took us into the nature trail was also excellent and informative. Highly recommend
Excellent trip. JJ was our guide. Well organised and fun.
Our guide JJ gave us some information on the bus there about the local botany and geology which was interesting and appreciated. As well as a small tour of Mijas. Thank you JJ. What I did not like and was frustrated about is the absence of guidance of how to walk to the Gibraltar rock. The group was taken to the place where taxi tours started with the advise not to walk up the rock as it's too strenuous. The taxi guides refused to take us to the entrance of the park or give information, and were pushing really hard to sell their tours, and I really dislike this type of practice. We wasted about 40 minutes trying to figure out how to get there. In the end, we found a regular taxi which took us to the Pillars of Hercules (get a Gibraltar taxi number ahead of time) and we walked from there. Walk was not bad (I'm 50+ but can walk hills), and we enjoyed it much more than if we would be piled up in the queue of taxi tours waiting for their turn to go. The hardest part of the walk was getting down the steps (hard on knees but very picturesque) , but if you had those 40 mins we wasted, you can gradually go down the hill walking on the road.
Well-organized tour with fantastic guides! Rich and varied program. The best was the close encounters with the wild monkeys at The Rock - an unforgettable experience! In addition to the visit to the mighty St. Michael's Cave! Recommends a taxi up to The Rock! Gibraltar is truly a melting pot of history, different cultures, people, languages, food, nature, and much more! Got a lot in a short time! Quite a long day, but worth it! Highly recommended!
The tour of the town does not exist, nor do they accompany you. They only provide transportation.
The tour was worth it, fundamentally because the guide José made us learn about the history of Gibraltar; he was very professional, pleasant, and very agreeable.
Very beautiful. We were guided on the excursion by a young man, Fernando, who was very pleasant and provided great explanations for each site we passed, with extensive historical knowledge of each area.
Excellent experience Complicated if you go by car. Leave it in the first parking you find, and walk...
An excellent day with our guide, Fernando, and our guide in Gibraltar on the Roc, Mohammed. Take a guide to the Roc, you will see everything there is to see! Mijas was charming but the visit a little short. 1:30 would have been appreciated. Nice day!
We chose this tour after reading all the nice reviews and because it was the only arranged tour from Malaga that did not make several stops along the coast to pick up people. They had two assembly points in Malaga and then travelled the motorway to Gibraltar in about 2 hours. There was no "Rock tour" included but the guides helped to book everyone who was interested in waiting minibuses (extra cost) when we arrived. It was noticeable that the guides José and Christian enjoyed themselves and had fun together but I think they talked a little too much about everything and nothing that you did not understand the instructions among all the babbling. Like when we went through the border control in Gibraltar and about 30 people for the bus missed that it turned off and continued on foot a good distance until the guides came running after. They thought they had been clear about what the rules were but then apologized and were overly clear after that. We did not really get five hours in Gibraltar as it was said but managed to do what we should by a good margin. The stop in Mijas was surprisingly good. Cozy little town in the mountains and the guides offered a guided tour. If you do not want to do Gibraltar on your own, I can warmly recommend this tour.
Very nice site. Missing some directions when walking
Hey. We travelled Gibraltar y Mijas Tour on Tripadvisor on 24 March 2026 at 07:35 a.m. from C. Heroe de Sostoa 2. We had a bad guide - Jay Jay. He did not follow are all passengers with on the bus when we crossed the border to Gibraltar and on the way back. When we crossed the border on our way to Gibraltar he said that he should go behind everyone and make sure that all passengers are in the bus, but he did not. When we walked between customs check, about 8min, when we got out we saw that the bus vorres went without us. We called global support number +1 833 764 2166 several times, no answer. So we walked to the centre of Gibraltar and asked several people on the way where the bus stop is in the centre of Gibraltar and fortunately found it. On the way back when the bus crossed the border to Spain, Jay Jay did not check is all included on the bus, he did not count passengers and he did not call passengers' names. He doesn't care much about it. Otherwise it was a nice trip. Reinis and Gunita
Overall successful excursion by means of a pleasant guide.Due to the entry delay you could see the sunset in Mijas
Ramon and the driver were over from nice and accommodating. The trip to Gibraltar went as far as I know without any problems, I slept most of the time. On site Ramon made sure we will find the agreed meeting place again, and despite the rainy weather it was very nice. The second stop, especially worth it if it would not rain.
