Morning Trip to see dolphins was great. Saw lots of dolphins and calf's having fun. Got lots of pictures of splashes.
I was very disappointed with poor communication from guide and company that took us. I booked via Tripadvisor in advance and payed for my trip. I read everything carefully, what i should do before the trip and how to prepare. A day before the trip i got a message from company about pick up point and location. We drove 1.5 h till pick up point, and then i realized i didn't pack my passport. I didn't know we will need to cross the boarder. So i didn't have my passport and was left behind the boarder. It was my mistake, but I got so sad and so disappointed that nowhere did it say that i must have a passport with me. I was looking for this trip for 5 months and my disappointed was unimaginable. Please put in reminder or additional information, that all travelers must have a passport for this trip. And moreover, the trip with the bus was exhausting and very uncomfortable, i got very terrible back pain from the seats. 8 h on a bus and only 2 h on a boat (if you have a passport lf course) doesn't not seem worth it at all. So anyone reading please take this as a reminder to take your passports so you wouldn't be disappointed like i was today.
We left Malaga. We stopped in Marbella for a break and to get a bite to eat. No restaurants or cafes open. No washrooms available. Most of us ended up going back to the bus where there was a super marche close and just picking up a pastry. The cable car was down for repairs and for those of us who chose the dolphin experience, it made the opportunity to visit the peak impossible. Taxis will only take you on the full tour for which there was insufficient time. I think we should have been made aware of this at time of booking as we may have changed our excursion. Having said that, our bus driver and Mica10 were fabulous.
The trip was fairly well organized and the boat trip to see dolphins was great. We saw at least 20 dolphins. However I was shocked to realize that visit to Gibraltar doesn't actually include visit of the main thing - the Rock itself. Having never been to this place before, I didn't know it was two separate things. After the dolphins tour we didn't have enough time left to visit the Rock by our own means, so this trip was a bit of a let down.
The duty-free shopping on Main Street is great for spirits and tobacco, and the currency is the Gibraltar Pound (though they take Euros and UK Pounds too). Pro-tip: walk across the runway into town rather than waiting for a bus—it’s one of the few places in the world where you can actually walk across an active airport strip!
We saw a lot of dolphins and there was no rush and the staff were lovely and friendly.
Weather was awful, originally we had gone for the dolphin watching but swapped, at considerable expense, to the Rock tour, was great fun, Gibraltar itself is a disappointment but at least you get to say you’ve been there, Monica, the guide/hostess, was really good, we will be using the company again on further trips as the day was well organised with an easy pick up location in Malaga, overall I would recommend
Overall great experience, tour guide Monica was great. It was raining still our boat went so it was good trip, bit of a drive from Malaga !
Very good experience,an amazing driver Jose and our guide Carmen very helpful and friendly.👍.Happy for choosing them.
It was a great day once in Gibralter and the dolphins turned up. Only problem was at border. Surprisingly because we had UK passports we were treated very differently from EU who just waved passports and walked through. We and a few other passports had to be checked and scanned. The guide didn't seem to know this so she left with most people to bus. I'm sure she would have returned, but we found bus. It seems ridiculous it was so difficult for UK citizens to enter Gibralter for a day from Spain. It seems EU bureaucracy is punishing UK citizens as we also found with automatic fingerprint and face recognition machines which didn't work in Malaga resulting in an hour waiting at manual border control alongside 100s of other UK citizens.
Almost 8 hours on a bus to spend 4 hours in Gibraltar. The visit at the Rock was as expected and staff were excellent just too long on the bus!!
Was a great day our tour guide was very helpful and mixed well , Monica great lady felt like we known her from a long time, Great experience
I traveled about 3 hours to get to Gibraltar and chose the dolphin watch activity. It was in the middle of the day, so I couldn’t really do anything else before or after. The dolphin watch itself was really good — I loved seeing them! I just wish the schedule was better organized so you could do more while you’re there. If you want to see more things, maybe plan a different way to go.
If your goal is to see dolphins and check the box for a visit to The Rock with a stamp in your passport, this is the trip for you. If you want to experience and see the famous sight of Gibraltar, including the caves, monkeys, etc, then take the other tour.
The whole day was amazing and the guide Juan Jo was very good. Everything runned on schedule and the experience was totally worth it.
Good folks and was okay, but from pickup to drop off was 12 hours. Boat ride was less than 90 minutes. So very long day on bus with lots of stops to pickup folks. If you have a full day to fill its cheap enough but not sure 12 hours is worth a short boat ride.
The dolphin tour was spectacular – magical and truly moving! Definitely 5 stars for that part. The bus was comfortable and quick. The only downside was that the activity description mentioned 3 hours of free time after the tour, but we actually had much less and left at 3 PM. That made the whole excursion feel rushed, and we couldn’t fully enjoy the experience. The agency could have been clearer about the schedule. That said, the guide was super friendly and helpful!
Benjamin was a great tour guide. Very knowledgable and helpful. Well worth checking out Gibraltar. We came from Malaga which was a bit of a trek on the bus - first to pick up and last to drop off but Gibraltar is unique and worth the visit.
Trip was amazing, Daniel was a great guide transitioning between English and Spanish for all those on the bus. He was helpful and clear around what was needed to be done. Overall a wonderful trip!
We recently visited Malaga for a long weekend city break and decided to take a day out to visit Gibraltar. The bus ride took longer that the agenda advised. We had 4 pick-ups after Malaga (this wasn't advertised) as well as taking a 30 minute break en-route. Once we arrived at Gibraltar we made a bee-line for the cable car as I thought that would be the best way to the top of Gibraltar - how wrong I was! We took a taxi instead. We paid £50 each which was £20 for the taxi/ tour guide, and £30 which gave access to St Michaels Caves, the Nature Reserve, etc. We stopped off 5 times to see the monkeys, take in the views at different sides of the rock, and to see the light show within the caves. If you are visiting Gibraltar and don't fancy queueing, then a would strongly advise you take a taxi/ tour guide. We also had booked the dolphin watching. It was good. We probably spotted 3, or 4 pods of Dolphins whilst we were out in the boat. The trip would be made worse, or better by the amount of Dolphins that you see. For us, the sun was out, we got to see Dolphins reasonably close to us, so all-in-all it was worth the trip. Whenever we do next get to Gibraltar, we hope to stay on the Rock and hopefully do a day trip over to Morocco.
Oh my goodness…..! I didn’t know quite what to expect I had never seen Dolphins in the wild before. I was worried for about 10 minutes that we wouldn’t get to see any but I really didn’t need to. From the moment we saw the first few Dolphins we were barely alone for a moment. New dolphins just kept coming up to see us, just like inquisitive children trying to find out what was going on and if we could give them any fun. At some point you could see up to 9 dolphins at any time. I would definitely recommend as the dolphins seem to enjoy the trip as much as you do. As well as the dolphins the tour operator offered me a tour of the Rock as well which took us to St Michael’s cave and to see the monkeys in the botanical gardens the guide was very knowledgeable and I am very glad I got to go.
Well informed throughout Carlos was a fantastic guide going above and beyond and Usiff the best driver. Fabulous time x
Wear some good walking shoes as a bit of walking. Great experience and able to see dolphins pods. Driver and guide was great. Spoke both English and Spanish
We took a guided bus tour from Málaga to Gibraltar with our two small children, and it was an excellent experience. Our guide, Aleš, was not only original and entertaining but also kept everything running smoothly and without any issues. He provided us with all the necessary information in a clear and engaging way and was always available to help. Once in Gibraltar, we had a quick lunch before heading out on a boat trip into the strait, where we encountered a beautiful pod of common dolphins. One of them even had a calf, and they treated us to several impressive jumps. The sea was stunning, and thankfully, no one felt seasick. After the boat trip, we had time to take a local bus to Europa Point, the southernmost tip of the peninsula. The kids had fun at the playground while we enjoyed the breathtaking views of the sea and the African coastline. It was a fast-paced but incredibly rewarding trip. Highly recommended! Thank you!
The trip to Gibraltar was nice. So was the boat ride to see the dolphins. The bad part was the timing/itinerary. The dolphin trip was in the middle with 60-90 minutes of free time before and after. The trip would have been much better with the dolphin viewing at the beginning or end.
The boat trip was enjoyable and we saw a lot of dolphins, bet bus ride to Gibraltar from Málaga and back was tiresome. Also be careful when you are choosing where to eat in Gibraltar, we ate at the pear and paid around €150 for 3 people
Everything was as described. The excursion was great and we saw lots of dolphins. The staff was super nice and helpful. Beautiful afternoon altogether.
I had a wonderful time with my friend. The pickup location was easy to find and the bus was labeled. Trip was almost three hours and we were able to visit the city of Gibraltar and see dolphins. Good trip! I do recommend adding a bathroom and WiFi to the bus. Sara is funny and engaging she made the bus ride pleasant.
Very little time to see everything. We went to Gibraltar to see monkeys, but we didn't see. The line were long, we went home already at 4 p.m. So if you want to see all in Gibraltar this excursion not about it.
Loved the guide and driver, so enthusiastic about their job! Shoutout to JORGE and ALFONSO, for making this the trip it was.
We had a great time. The dolphin watch was a memorable experience. Thank you. Our tour guide always gave us information about the trip so we knew what’s next every time.
The boat trip for the dolphins was very pleasant and well organized; I recommend it. By contrast, for a departure from Torremolinos, the time available to visit Gibraltar is too short and disjointed. We lost almost 1 hour and 30 minutes between our arrival and the cruise, so there was not enough time left to go to the top of the Rock. However, in the excursion description, it implies that we have 3 hours of free time after the dolphin watching. In summary: 3 hours of driving in the morning, 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting upon arrival in Gibraltar, 1 hour and 30 minutes of dolphin watching, 1 hour and 30 minutes of wasted time, 3 hours and 30 minutes for the return to Torremolinos
Everything super well explained and very good service
The experience was very good and I recommend it 100%. A bus picked us up in the center of Málaga and we made several stops picking up more people in Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, and Estepona (this took a bit long but it is understandable). We arrived in Gibraltar and had 2 hours free (we went to Europa Point by bus) because at 12 we met up to go catch the boat. At 12:30 we got on and went in search of dolphins. We saw the dolphins quite close and it was very fun. It lasted 90 min. Afterward we had 1.5 hours to eat and return to Málaga. I am happy with the trip but it felt a bit short to us, since the excursion lasts 10 hours and 5 hours are spent on the bus.
Comfortable tour bus, great tour guide, provides very good information, but does not talk much - which is good.
The trip was very good, our guide Coby, super, iced us laugh, explained many things and also took care of everyone, made us feel like a group despite not knowing each other
The organization of the ride was not optimal. The exact duration was not clearly communicated in advance. Instead of the announced 10 hours we were on the road for a total of 12 hours. The outbound journey took about 4 hours, including a short break at a gas station. A three-and-a-half hour stay in Gibraltar was announced throughout the day. In fact, before the dolphin tour we only had about 1 hour of free time and then another 1.5 hours to explore. The dolphin tour was very nice, however, the boat did not drive a fixed route, but mainly followed the dolphins. Whales were not sighted, but many dolphins. Without a separate booking of a tour to the “Rock of Gibraltar” you won’t see the monkeys. This additional service is relatively expensive. At 16:00 the return journey to Málaga began, arrival was around 20:00. The tour guide was very nice though and could always answer our questions
It was a good trip with a fantastic clever and fresh guide. However, there was too little time in Gibraltar before the boat trip so another time I will take a full-day trip to Gibraltar instead. The boat trip car great although it winded a lot and we therefore unfortunately did not see any dolphins.
Very long journey from Malaga and language barrier but superb activity Attention others gives more attractive prices
It was a wonderful excursion. The bus on time, the guide very friendly and attentive. Gibraltar is a very nice place and seeing dolphins in the sea was a unique experience. The only thing I didn’t like was that there wasn’t enough time (every 1.5 hours) before or after the boat ride to do many things. It would have been better to have 3 hours for visits and then the boat ride, or the other way around. Despite this, I highly recommend this excursion.
Perfect organization for travel to Gibraltar and driving, Juan, really great! Unfortunately the only flaw was the boat trip for dolphin watching: it lasted very little and was carried out in French, when we had specified the English language when booking.
Great day our guide Carlos was perfect Even though he didn’t guide in French he was at the little care with us while we were the only two French
Take the circuit with the rock climb or the circuit to see the dolphins because just "main street" is too much time allocated!
Recomendable 100%. Everything Perfect the guide Daniela very good and the driver Adolfo perfect also delighted has been a very nice experience
We were lucky enough to be able to observe the dolphins up close it was an absolutely magical moment 😍 I recommend this activity
The guide was great and spoke French The visit great we took full eyes in boat with dolphins
Experience to live, the photos are worthless compared to this precious time spent on the boat. Full eyes 😍 This moment delighted adults and young.
Very disappointed 😞 I could not visit Gibraltar, as I wasted two hours waiting after the two minibuses. Actually, I didn’t understand the situation
Great experience we saw little monkeys and dolphins, we are happy tourists Thanks to jorge who is a great guide
