One of the best tours I've ever been on. Miguel was a great guide, Andreas was an amazing driver, and the trek itself was breathtaking. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Don't miss it.

Itinerary
Visit the Caminito del Rey on a guided day trip from Malaga, what used to be one of the most dangerous paths in the world. Enjoy the beauty of the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes on this path which has been rebuilt in 2015 to a very safe walk and suitable for everyone. Start your excursion at the meeting point in the center of Malaga, where the guides will welcome you and answer all your questions. Take the bus with air conditioning and enjoy the views of the countryside during the approximately 45-minute drive. Arrive at Caminito del Rey and begin your exciting walk along the cliffs through the natural canyons. Discover the history, the evolution while listening to some facts about this unique path. (The walk in Caminito del Rey is about 3:30 hours). After the excursion in Caminito del Rey, you can relax and eat something near "El Chorro" Return to the meeting point in Malaga by coach after an incredible day in nature, full of photos and unforgettable memories.
We will make a short 30-minute stop in a typical white Andalusian town, Ardales. Here we can go to the bathroom, have a coffee or simply discover its beautiful and traditional streets and squares. It is an opportunity to discover a non-touristy town

The walk is safer than it looks! It was a beautiful walk, very much enjoyed it. The downside I found was that I couldn’t really understand the guide speaking through the headphones.
Great view and a beautiful hike. Slow pace The tech was oké, but the guide her English was very difficult to understand which was a pity.
I showed up at the meeting spot at the time listed and no one was here. Nothing in the communication noted what time they would leave from the meeting spot. I messaged and got no response until I called and was told they wait 5 minutes but that wasn’t true, i was here in that time. The only solution offered was for me to pay my own way up there which would double the cost. This was one of the highlights of my trip and i am most disappointed that because i booked with this group I didn’t get to have this experience because of unclear instruction.
Excellent! It was beautiful and easy to do. The transportation and the whole experience were incredible. Our guides, Jeanette and Susana, were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the tour. They made the experience even more enjoyable with their professionalism. The views were breathtaking, and everything was very well organized from beginning to end. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Málaga. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!
Nice experience, not for anyone afraid of heights obviously. Pick up and travel to and from was well organised, Janet was a nice guide. Definitely something to tick off the list! Me and my daughter enjoyed it.
Great service. Comfortable bus and very good bilingual guide. Caminito del Rey is definitely a must do and unforgettable.
Breathtaking views with great tour guides. It just an hour bus trip from Malaga and well worth it. Best tour we did in Southern Spain.
It was something very special to see and experience. Definitely recommended. Both guides, Pedro y Ana were great and very helpful !
The actual walk was great, but the guide did not ad value, since he hardly heared him. Time spent in white village was to some extent unnecessary. There were toilets at the start of the walk. However, the last 30-40 minutes of waiting in the picknick zone after the walk was frustrating. We just sat there waiting, we could have reached Malaga in that time.
Amazing tour, amazing scenery, very cool guide !
Very easy to book. Very easy pick up arrangements. Very friendly guide from Malaga ( Miguel). Great local stop on the way. Caminito del rey was beautiful, very safe but also exhilarating. Felt quite busy in places especially at the beginning but nicely paced. Highly recommended! Family with teenage sons.
Fun day with family. Tour guide was very informative and fun. Tour bus driver handled the bus like a champ.
This was a very different and unique experience! Youre transported out of the busy streets of the city and into complete nature. It was a much needed and appreciated change in scenery and pace for us, which is exactly why I would recommend it. You are walking inside the canyon and seeing stunning views of nature. Note that it is quite a lot of walking, but very worth it. I recommend the afternoon slot to avoid the glaring heat. We had nice shade and cool temperatures.
We had a brilliant time doing the Caminito del Rey walk - great communication before and during the walk too through Viator, so thank you. Both of our guides were professional and knowledgeable too. The route was very busy, but the views were absolutely incredible and well worth seeing - it's all super safe too. Also - fyi - you don't need to buy food at the first stop; there were plenty of food & drink options at the end of the route, which we didn't know about, and they looked great. All in all, a great few hours.
It was an exciting adventure for sure!! And on top of it, it was raining which added to the precarious nature of the hike along the rock walls.
Such a great experience! Javi was super informative before the tour, we had a local guide in camino del rey, who was fabulous too. Worth picking up some snacks before the tour, depending on time of day you do it. However, the tapas at el Chorro are good too and not expensive.
The actual walk is amazing and well worth it. The bus service is long for no reason. It makes a 45 minute stop in a town that’s 15 minutes from Caminito. And we waited over one hour at the end of the walk for the bus to return to pick us up. The shops even closed on us so there is nothing to do.
Great pacing for any type of traveler. Miguel did a fantastic job balancing different cultures and personalities and made it fun for everyone. Definitely a well-oiled machine of a tour! Very happy with the whole day ❤️
100% worth it! The hike was incredible. Laura was our guide and she was great - funny and informational. Such a fun day trip!
Well worth visiting, everything included in price. Pick up in bus, approx 1.5 hours, stopped in little village on way, nice but maybe not needed. Tour guide talked a lot, was okay, maybe too much chat- not needed, had ear phones so were able to remove to take break from listening. Did feel bit drawn out and then further wait for bus at end to bring back to Malaga so 7 hours to do a 1.5 hour trip 1 hour outside Malaga, positive was there was no rush with anything. Views were fab, very organised.
Great day out. Only problem was that the caminito del Rey sold too many tickets for the day leading to having to wait at start for a helmet and in the middle to get onto the last section. Possibly problem caused by a bank holiday weekend. But the actual walk was great and our guide ravi was really informative and visible.
Our guide, Miguel, was very personable, informative, and clear with instructions. We thoroughly enjoyed the excursion!
We enjoyed this adventure! The natural beauty and the physical activity was just what we were hoping for.
We originally planned to take a public bus and take the tour ourselves, but the day we wanted to go had sold out weeks in advance. Luckily we were able to book this tour for that day and are very happy that we did. It is so much less stressful to have everything arranged for you and Miguel, our guide, gave us a ton of fun information on our way there and then back (not talking the whole way- plenty of time to relax). We stopped at a small village on the way. As we were on the afternoon tour, there was less open but Miguel took us to a great coffee shop to get a drink, snack, water for the hike and to use the toilets. This was a 30 minute stop and then we were on our way. Once we got to the hike, instructions were clear and we separated into 2 groups to be guided by the company there. Our guide was great, the speed of walking in order to allow to see animals, take photos was perfect. Many stories and facts were told, as we were all given headsets to listen to our guide from. I recommend the afternoon time slot as it made for much of the walk to be in the shade and gets you back to Malaga just in time for dinner.
Impressive scenery and very organized tour. Miguel was such a great guide and was very informative. It was very safe.
Would thoroughly recommend the guided tour of Caminito del Rey. It was an unforgettable experience and our guide Miguel was fantastic: great fun and very knowledgable.
Epic. So good I would be tempted to go again! bucket list trip for sure
Ok the description of this tour is a little confusing-- in some spots it talks about how this is a private tour, but to clarify it isn't. Given the price I did not expect this to be a private tour (and it wasn't it was a bus that seated 50 and there were indeed 50 of us there for this tour), but just wanted to clarify in case anyone else reading the description isn't sure-- this is NOT a private tour. This is not a small group tour. It's a group of 50. Having said that, our tour guide Javi was lovely, provided some clear explanations on our drive over as to what to expect from this experience. Clarified that if we didn't want to follow the group we could move ahead and do our own thing, as long as we all returned to the designated meet up spot at the end. Before all that we had a quick stop in the small town of Ardales where we could grab a coffee or snacks or just spent a bit of time exploring before we moved on to Caminito del rey. We did end up climbing up to the town's church which offered a wonderful view of the town and surrounding areas. At Caminito del Rey, my husband and I did end up opting to explore on our own and had a wonderful time. There was only one spot towards the end of the walk that got a bit blocked up because they can only let through a certain amount of people at a time for security purposes. We ended up having to wait around a bit there but otherwise it was a lovely hike. There are a few decent food options in the picnic area at the end where we were able rest and relax before getting back onto the bus to head back to Malaga. A good experience overall!
Bring a rain jacket/poncho just in case of rain. Truly an amazing tour with a ton of picture opportunities.
We had a great time with Miguel and David. Caminito del Rey is absolutely stunning and was definitely the highlight of our entire trip to Spain. I have a slight fear of heights and I was worried that the experience would be difficult to complete, but ultimately I felt extremely safe on the path. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the group was split into two, so the excursion didn't feel too crowded. I definitely recommend the experience! Having said that, I find that the time spent in Ardales prior to going to Caminito del Rey was a waste of time. It was too short to actually see anything, especially because the bus stops in the town center and there isn't enough time to go to the viewpoint of the town from the outside. I initially thought that the stop in Ardales was to take a bathroom break, but there are toilets before entering Caminito proper... This should either be cut entirely (so the excurion meeting in pickup is later in the day), or extended.
This was a bucket list adventure and it was great! There was a 1.5 km walk at the beginning to start and the same at the end but it all very easy. In fact the entire walk was a meander and mainly very flat. The views were amazing and some of the walkways wide and some narrower. A few steps along the way, both up and down but not many. I did think it would be more scary, but not at all!! There were quite a lot of people, so it was slow at times. Would highly recommend.
The bus ride there was great Manguel the guide was fantastic The walking tour was also fantastic with the guides and views The BUS RIDE BACK TO MALAGA WAS TERRIBLE WITH NO AIR CONDITIONING . WAS SICK TO MY STOMACH AFTER A 8 KILOMETER WALK IN THE HEAT
Everything was great. It was easy to find the meeting place. The bus was comfortable. The driver was good and the guide was really friendly. The hike is not hard, but you should bring a lot of water because of the heat. There was enough time to take pictures and to enjoy the incredible views.
Fantastic day, incredible scenery and Miguel, our guide was brilliant..
Great arrangement! The tour coordinator was very smooth, funny and experienced so even though we were a huge group it went very smooth. A very easy way to experience Caminito del Ray, transported right to the entrance and picked up at the end. Definitely worth the money.
A truly amazing trip into the mountains. The walk through the Caminito del Rey was one to remember
Miguel was our guide and was clear, personable, funny and responsible. The Caminito is everything you think it will be (and their tour guides are great, too. We had Paolo (I think).
Our guide, Miguel, was very helpful and organized. The tour was amazing. Such an incredible opportunity to see the beauty of the area from a unique vantage point. Important to bring water.
Miguel was a wonderful bus host. Very informative and funny. Bus was very comfortable and the stop in Ardales was a welcome pit stop. Caminito walk is definitely challenging but so glad we did it. Gorgeous scenery.
Experience was great, Our guide Miguel was wonderful. It was just one magnificient sight after another - almost overwhelming.
The guides were very knowledgeable. We were divided into two smaller groups however they should divide the groups based upon “faster” walkers and slower walkers. Some wanted to have a faster pace which made it difficult for the tour guides as well as participants. The hike and scenery itself was awesome.
The hiking experience in itself was good but Miguel, the tour guide, and Andres, the driver, made it fun. I would recommend. I think it's an activity everyone in the family can do.
This is a must do activity! The views were amazing and the walking was easy to manage. Our guide Javi was well organized, gave us lots of time to appreciate our surroundings and provided a lot of interesting information about the area.
The Caminito was a fun full day activity. Cristobol was a informative and cheerful guide. The only negatives...the town we stopped at prior to reaching Caminito had no electricity so absolutely nothing to do there! There also seemed to be a lot of " waiting" around at different points during the day.
Beautiful scenery and fascinating history. Well maintained board walk. This walk was quite strenuous in 34 degree heat (September). Perhaps book an earlier slot than we did (10:30am from Malaga city).
The Caminito is beautiful with a mildly demanding walk, some uneven ground and a few steep inclines. Jesus, our guide to the venue was great and kept us informed. It was very crowded once at the park Nd the headsets provided by the park did not work well although the guide provided at the park was very helpful.
The first guide or organizer from Meeting point to caminito (bus) was fine. However, the first stop was not possible because a power outage in the town and the guides did not provide a good alternative. The actual guide during the caminito walk was not good. She rushed the whole walk allowing us little time to look at the scenes or pictures. She didn’t really have any useful information during the tour and I probably would have a had a better experience without her. We walked so fast that we got to the last viewpoint and then had to wait about 25 minutes for previous groups to go through. Then, when we finished the walk and got to the picnic area we were given less than 20 minutes for snacks. We arrived back at meeting point by 5:20pm. I love the scene and caminito but I wouldn’t bother booking again with this experience the current guides.
The transportation to the location was comfortable and air conditioned. The tour was well organized and the English speakers were easy to understand. I would highly recommend this tour as it was easy to access the Caminito del Rey. It might have been confusing otherwise. The Caminito was beautiful and also very hot. Be sure to carry plenty of water. It would not be suitable for those with challenges walking long distances in heat and some rough surfaces. The trail was over 3 miles once completed.
I enjoyed Caminito del Rey it’s a fabulous place, but I felt we were rushed the pick up time was 2 pm but we didn’t get there till after 4 as there was a completely unnecessary stop 15 minutes away from the place. Miguel our guide was fantastic. One point about the meeting point on the description you say City hall and mention not sitting on the Town hall steps if you come from somewhere that has both it’s confusing!
