Itinerary
From departure to arrival in Gibraltar you will enjoy the panoramic views of the Costa del Sol, from your seat on the bus.
We will arrive at the border between Spain and Gibraltar (remember we are traveling to the UK). We will get off the bus, cross the border, and walk to the city center (approximately 15 minutes walking). In the main square, Casemate Square, you will receive useful information and assistance from our guide. Afterward, you will explore Gibraltar on your own, at your leisure.
One of Gibraltar's most important attractions is "Climbing the Rock." There are three options: Walking (Physically very intense) Cable-car Rock Tour in a 6-8-seater vehicle You can book these services directly on-site. Some days the cable-car is closed due to weather conditions (wind). Some days the Rock Tour cars are fully booked with cruise ships. These situations occur very rarely during the year, and our guide will help you with information and recommendations. **These activities are NOT included in the price, so you can book the best option for you
After climbing the Rock, enjoy some free time for lunch and some shopping! Gibraltar is a territory with some tax benefits.

Great tour with Gael! He was friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience really enjoyable. Take taxi option for 70e (30e fee entrance is inculed here). Fantastic views and history, well worth it.
This activity is basically transport to Gibraltar and help to arrange taxis to drive you up to the rock. Everything else you are by your own. Our guide gave valuable information and talked about the history. Strongly suggest to inform clearly that no stops are planned for food or coffee on the way to Gibraltar so that people can arrange to have food and drinks with them.
Tour Guide Laura grom Malaga to Gibraltar segment was excellent. She was very helpful and explained everything to expect from the tour. However, the local Tour Guide/Driver on the Gibraltar segment wss rude, insensitive and didn’t communicate well. For a bunch of 70’’s people he rushed us. We skip two attractions for fear of missing the van on pick up point. On top of this he overcharged the cost. It was supposed to be 60.00 euros but when I got the bill from my credit card, it was 73.05 euros. I think he ripped us off.
I really loved the rock tour! Very well organized bus tour, and taxi transport to the top of the rock. Seeing the monkeys close up was a once in a lifetime experience! Very interesting history and time in the village was great too. Just a perfect day.
We very much enjoyed our excursion to Gibraltar. Our guide on the bus, Gael, was very genial and informative. The guide for our on-site tour, whose name I unfortunately don’t recall, was also very good. A worthy trip.
A great day exploring and learning the history of Gibraltar. Tour is well organized. Our guide organized all the taxis with Operators she knew and trusted to provide a great experience.
Fantastic trip to Gibraltar. Our guide Gloria was very god and kept us well informed. Our guide Ryan that drove our van up to the top of the rock was great and very informative. Highly recommend this trip.
Guides were fantastic! You had just the right amount of time to explore. A must tour for 1 day excursions.
Gael was a great tour guide. Knowledgeable and engaging. The trip was run really well. Quick stop on the bus, not those annoying long stops at a rest stop. We had plenty of time for the rock tour which was organized for us by Gael. It was simple and stress free. The taxi tour was a perfect way to see the highlights. We did not feel rushed through our time in town. Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic trip to Gibraltar with this tour company. The bus was comfortable, the journey was smooth, and everything was well organized from start to finish. A special mention to our guide, Pedro, who was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip enjoyable with his stories and information about the area. He really helped make the experience memorable. We had a great day and would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Pedro as your guide! 🇪🇸🇬🇮
Had an enjoyable trip to Gibraltar. Tour guides were very helpful. Would definitely recommend this tour.
Gaël was an excellent tour guide who not only provided us information on Gibraltar, but also Malaga.
Our tour guide in Malaga, Maria was kind and friendly. Honestly it is a LONG walk from the bus stop in Spain to the center square in Gibraltar. It should be made much clearer just how long a walk it is. She was caring and made sure all made it to the meeting point. TWO cabs she had scheduled cancelled on her but she found substitutes and they were wonderful. Enjoyed the trip and the scenery very much.
A visit to Gibraltar is something you have to do at least once in your lifetime... its history, the views... a very pleasant experience with a knowledgeable guide.
We opted for the cheaper option of the Gibraltar trip and it was a good choice. The bus took us to a parking lot before the border. The border crossing is without control. The tour guide was very kind and arranged for us to continue the trip with a full visit to the "Rock". Cost? £60 (€70) per person. We had an exceptional driver, good at English, known to the monkeys, even friends with them. Walking further along the street of shops, is not worth the effort: banal goods at high prices. Likewise, the restaurants have higher prices than those in Malaga. Otherwise, everything was perfect. It is worth making this visit.
all went well. you now longer need a passport or visa to enter gibralter. great trip. highly recommend.
Great trip to Gibraltar from Malaga. Bus was very comfortable and Pedro, our guide, was very knowledgeable with lots of recommendations. Tour within Gibraltar is separate via Van (additional costs) or walking (steep hills, approximately 3 hrs return). But worth visiting.
This trip was a great day out. The coach was comfortable and fully air conditioned. And the tour guide was friendly and very helpful. If you want to explore the rock, you’ll need to budget another £60 each to cover minibus hire and entry to the country park.
Pedro was fantastic with great recommendations and information. The ride to Gibraltar was comfortable.
This type caves near I visited .And full of tanels . Morocco , Portugal and Spain are the boundaries
We had a lovely experience— our guide Janet was excellent. She was knowledgeable and very considerate. She arranged for our cab to go up the Rock and she offered us an alternative to the walk back to the bus.
Gloria was a fabulous guide. She kept everyone informed on what the day’s plan was. She assisted anyone needing information, and planned guides for those of us that wanted to take a tour up the rock! I would definitely recommend this outing!
Tours leaves promptly. So be there early as they dont wait. Toilet stops on way, and you have 5 hours in gibraltor to exploer, if fitness is good recommend walking uo via jews gates up the steps and then back round the paved roads doing all the sites on way down., about an hour's walk to start of gate, so need to start straight away to get back on time
The tour guide was very kind and made sure to be available for any questions or concerns. Crossing the border was very easy.
Awesome experience!!! Guide annoying, Gael, talking i think to hear his own voice and at times lacking any sense...example " you have three options to climb to the top 1 walk 2 taxi tour 3 cable car" you say ahh cable car and this silly man says "well they tore that down" wtf!!! Many insistence of just diarrhea of the mouth that made the ride there fairly annoying! Otherwise awesome!
It was interesting but a bit rushed. Also information should have been shared upfront at time of booking that cable car to top of the rock is not available for the year due to maintenance . We could have made an informed decision on whether to do the day trip or not. We had no choice but to join a local tour with a taxi company inside Gibraltar. Although our local tour guide / driver was informative and funny , it was too rushed and hectic!
Marie was spectacular and really cool. She was calm, patient and good at what she does. It was fun having her around
Great journey & well explained. Journey 2 hours from malaga & all communication with tour when you reach gibraltar.
If you are American, you might have to wait a little bit because the passport process took a while and our guide ended up leaving us and we had to catch up to her. There’s really nothing special about the tour, the only convenient thing is them driving you back-and-forth, otherwise the tour doesn’t offer anything special. Gibraltar though is a cool place not much to do but the park and reserve are fun.
Great excursion to Gibraltar. Would very much recommend booking this tour instead of driving there yourself. Drop-off directly at the border. The guide took us to Casemates Square on foot and booked a rock tour for those who wanted. All very convenient and easy.
Martina is an amazing guide. She was shepherding a big group of 50 odd travellers. Very patient. We were not informed that Cabke Car is not operational. We took a taxi which was arranged by Martina. But it was a bit chaotic and the cab driver Ryan was stressed. But the experience of visiting the rock and all other monuments was truly unbelievable
Worth the cost for transport, guidance through passport control, and directions to the natural park. Strongly recommend purchasing the ticket to the Natural Park.
Extremely fun experience with Gloria our tour guide. The day I went for some reason it was super busy and there were issues with the Rock tour but Gloria made sure to find us a car to give us the Tour guide who was amazing as well!!! Super fun, extremely worth it!
We enjoyed our trip from Malaga to Gibraltar with Federica. We ascended the bus at City hall in Malaga and went to Gibraltar with one rest stop. Federica guided the group with good energy and took us through passport control and brought us to Casemate square. She settle some of the group who wanted to walk and made arrangements for the rest of us who wanted to taxi up the Rock. She escorted us back across passport control at the end of the day.
We enjoyed the experience and were lucky to have a sunny day that wasn’t too windy. Be prepared to do a lot of walking—the bus drops you in Spain and you need to walk across an airport tarmac to reach Gibraltar. Our guide was very good. However, the tour company falsely advertised that there were 3 options for traveling up “the rock”: hiking, in “rock taxis” (vans with a guide), and a cable car. We went in March 2026 and learned the cable car was closed for renovations and would not be available for several more years. You need to pay separately from the tour to summit the rock, regardless of which option you choose. We recommend the vans with guides—we were able to meet the monkeys, explore caves, and visit a fascinating WWII British military tunnel system in the caves.
We reached out to the company the day before for parking options and got a response. The morning of, our rental car GPS took us elsewhere. By the time we found parking we were late, we ran to the meeting location. We were four minutes late and the bus left. However another guide with the same company called our bus and it stopped and we ran to meet it! We were so grateful. We would have been sad to miss it. Gael was a very knowledgeable and helpful guide. My two suggestions would be to provide parking info in the post and to let people know there will be an option to purchase the nature reserve tickets as a group. We did not understand that and booked elsewhere, but ended up going with the group instead. We have been burned in the past by inaccurate tours and scams on these platforms - but with this group you get the real deal. Organized. Professional transport. Guides who are professional and identifiable and very helpful.
Very comfortable coach with a friendly and helpful guide. Clear instructions and easy to book. Would recommend this trip
Well organised and efficient. Clean comfortable coach. Good briefings and control at Gibraltar ample time for the visit.
The Gibraltar tour was amazing! Great views, friendly guide, and unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!
From Malaga, Gibraltar excursion with transport ~ This tour and day was excellent! A highlight of our trip! Our guide was Pedro and he was professional, helpful, skilled and provided personal attention to everyone, and we were a good sized group. We had read negative reviews and that made us hesitant, but we are so grateful we went on this tour – it was awesome! We knew the cable car was not working, as that was common knowledge and Pedro planned accordingly by arranging private taxis and we paid the driver directly. Yes, you have cross a border, walk across the tarmac and yes, aside from Pedro’s orientations, we were on our own and that was fine, as that was expected. It was an awesome tour and we would highly recommend it and Pedro.

Viator aranged the trip to the top of Gibraltar and after that you had a good amount of free time which was appreciated. Our tour guide Gloria was wonderful.
We are using Bland's transport service again, as we have for several years now, to travel from Gibraltar (La Linea) to Malaga, Spain. It is a service which provides a private car and driver to get us to where we would like to go. The Bland's staff is terrific: friendly, helpful, and very easy to use. Liam was great! Because of the frontier (border) circumstances, we take the frontier bus from our rental in Gibraltar to the border and walk across the street to meet our driver at the Burger King parking lot. It is convenient and we are dropped off at exactly where we are staying in Malaga. We are so happy to have this service. The staff and driver have always been wonderful. I recommend this service to help you get around southern Spain. There isn't any train nearby and a bus takes a long time.
As expected, it was really more transportation to Gibraltar than a tour. The guide did get us directed to the guided tours, hikes, etc once we arrived. There should maybe be a note on the site that there is a fairly long walk from where the bus stops to the square where we disbursed for our various activities- and that same walk back to the bus at the end of the day.
Amazing and unique journey with oodles of history! Well organized day with a stellar and knowledgable guide Ori.
Our guide Ori was amazing!!! Full of energy and very knowledgeable of the local history. I really appreciated her knowledge base and pleasant voice & personality!!! Very organized and committed to making sure everyone fully enjoyed the experience. Top rated. Great job, Ori. Our drivers were also excellent!!! We all had a fantastic day in Gibraltar.
The buses were late and there were no guides in sight. We were two groups and there was confusion when dividing the groups for the two buses. Our guide did not give us very much history, seemed unmotivated in comparison to our other guides who were very professional. Once in Gibraltar, we took a van up the hill, our guide was very good, I highly recommend this, it was worth the money.
Well organized. Excellent tour guide (Nico). Even though the cable cars are closed, other options were offered. We took a van tour of the Rock which was excellent.
To be clear, this is really just a bus ride to Gibralter, but they do help you get through the border and point you in the right direction for getting up the rock. It was nice that the driver was really safe and the “guide” did a good job getting us to the town square in Gibralter and then back to the bus. My biggest disappointment was the initial boarding process. The company didn’t seem prepared for 2 totally full buses, and the 2 “guides” seemed overwhelmed and unable to organize the groups in any kind of coherent way. There was a lot of chaos and shuffling people back and forth between buses to see where people fit. People were pushing and cutting in line to get onto the buses, and I definitely recommend that you do the same. My husband and I are more polite and ended up at the end, and so by the time we boarded we weren’t able to sit anywhere near each other. Even so, I would take this ride to Gibralter again because it was a decent price and it was a convenient way to visit Gibralter.
