Reviews
Great tour and very informative. We had the opportunity to visit different cities.
As with all the trips in this area, there is a lot of walking involved, most of which is not on the level. The towns and itinerary are both great, but this trip was let down by the guide, whose command of the English language was poor, frequently asking Spanish speakers how to say words in English, this shouldn't be necessary and spoilt the day for a lot of people.
Fantastic bus trip! Our guide was funny, friendly and really helpful, making the whole experience enjoyable. Everything was well organised and we had a brilliant time. Would definitely recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
After two previous Viator tours the week before in Portugal, that were absolutely wonderful. This tour was very disappointing and unfortunately, it started with the tour guide. He was extremely rude to us when we just tried to ask him if this was the bus basically yelled at me to just get on the bus not even looking at my ticket. then from there it went downhill our very first stop. We told him we were not going to get back on the bus and we were just going to do our own thing for the rest of the day and he seemed very concerned and asked why we said there were some people that were rude and he totally didn’t understand what he had done from the very get-go of this trip. I was very disappointed, considering I have four more tours scheduled over the next month. I do hope someone in management reads this review and maybe reaches out to give us a refund..
It was very good value for money..Puerto Banus and Mijas are beautiful places.
Enjoyed our day out, particularly Mijas, which has some beautiful views. A wee bit longer day than advertised, 8 hour round trip, but a great way to see several resorts along the way.
We had a fantastic coach trip to Marbella, Puerto Banús and Mijas, and it was one of the highlights of our holiday. Our guide, Covi, was absolutely wonderful—she struck the perfect balance between being warm, friendly, humorous and incredibly knowledgeable. She shared lots of interesting information throughout the day while making everyone feel welcome and relaxed. The itinerary was excellent, with just the right amount of time to explore each destination without feeling rushed. We would highly recommend this trip, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Covi as your guide!
My sister and I enjoyed this excursion overall and were glad to have the opportunity to visit both Marbella and Mijas. The destinations themselves were beautiful, but we felt the schedule could be improved to allow more time to enjoy them. Our first stop was Marbella, where we arrived shortly after 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday. While the town was lovely, many of the shops were still closed, and the beach area was very quiet. We were given just over an hour to explore before heading to Puerto Banús, where we spent about 45 minutes admiring the luxury yachts and waterfront atmosphere. Although Puerto Banús was worth seeing, we felt that arriving later in the morning or having more time in Marbella would have made for a better experience. The highlight of the day was definitely Mijas. This charming white village was everything we hoped it would be. We visited the CAC Museum, where we enjoyed viewing works by Picasso and other contemporary artists, sampled local wines at a rooftop bar with beautiful views, and had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Mijas was picturesque, full of character, and offered some of our favorite moments from the excursion. Our only disappointment was the amount of time allocated in Mijas. With only about two hours, it was difficult to fit everything in. Between visiting the museum, enjoying lunch, and stopping for wine tasting, we had very little time left to wander the streets, browse the local shops, and shop for souvenirs. We would have loved at least another hour to explore at a more relaxed pace. Overall, this is a good excursion for travelers who want a brief introduction to Marbella and Mijas in a single day. However, we felt Marbella was scheduled a bit too early in the morning, and Mijas deserved more time than it was given. Even so, we left with wonderful memories, beautiful photos, and a greater appreciation for the beauty of the Costa del Sol.
First Class, fantastic, wonderful, relaxing, super, smashing, great. You must go on this trip when on the Sunshine Coast of Spain
We had a wonderful day yesterday on the tour to Marbella and Mijas with Jesus (the driver) and Carlos (the guide). Everything was organized extremely well from start to finish. Carlos was very professional, punctual, and organized throughout the entire trip. He made sure all safety rules were followed and always kept the group well informed about timings and arrangements. He shared many interesting cultural facts and local information about all the places we visited, which we really liked. Carlos was friendly and very well spoken, therefore very easy to understand. Thank you for such a memorable and enjoyable day, we would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. From Bianca (The Netherlands) and Andrea (Australia)
Our guide Benjamin was entertaining and knowledgeable. This was a nice half day tour of three areas Marbella and the port and Marbella as well as Mijas. Great little places and beautiful as well. The directions for pick up points was very clear. We ended up staying in Mijas on our own for longer.
Disappointed with tour guide. We didn’t get much information in each place we visited. Have to figure out ourselves.. although we LOVED the destinations
It was very well organised and full of interesting facts about all the places, mijas alone is a must see views are amazing and has so many photo opportunities.
Costa del Sol Day Trip — Just Do Mijas and Call It a Day If you’re planning this Costa del Sol route, here’s the truth: you can skip most of it without a hint of regret. Mijas: The One Stop That Steals the Show If there’s one place that saves this itinerary, it’s Mijas. Perched on a hillside and glowing in whitewashed charm, the town feels like a Mediterranean dream. Blue flower pots pop against the white walls, narrow alleys twist into scenic viewpoints, and the whole place has a calm, breezy vibe that instantly wins you over. For anyone who loves browsing local shops, Mijas is a tiny paradise. You’ll find: • Colorful ceramics • Leather goods • Handcrafted souvenirs • Great bargains compared to the coastal tourist zones Pair that with beautiful views and local treats — like sweet regional wine and fresh olives with tomato brine — and the experience almost echoes the relaxed, sun‑washed feel of Santorini. Getting there is simple too. You can hop on a local bus from Torremolinos and reach Mijas without any hassle. --- Marbella: Blink and You’re Done Marbella looks nice on the surface, but beyond the cathedral, there’s not much to hold your attention. It’s fine, but forgettable. Puerto Banús: Glossy, Flashy, and Totally Missable Puerto Banús is all show — designer storefronts, oversized yachts, and a nightlife scene that’s more about posing than experiencing anything meaningful. If you’re not into that ultra‑luxury vibe, it feels like a complete waste of time. Final Thoughts: Go for Mijas, Skip the Rest If you’re planning your Costa del Sol itinerary, Mijas is the only stop on this route that truly deserves your time. Its beauty, character, and relaxed atmosphere make it a standout. Marbella and Puerto Banús, on the other hand, are easy to skip without missing anything essential.
This is a short trip from Malaga but it’s worth it to see the highlights of Marbella & visit the beautiful town of Mijas .
The trip was thoroughly enjoyable in every way; the tour guide fully lived up to expectations and was very good at explaining the places we visited.
Mix up over meeting place as google maps took us to a place 200 metres away at a shopping centre and bus left without us despite me trying to ring guide, and without them contacting me. Later company explained they had the wrong mobile number for me but would not offer refund or compensation or details of the mobile number they said they had tried to ring at meeting point
Marketed as 6 hour tour. Whilst on the tour realised 9 hour! Had to leave tour and taxi back to Malaga costing me 60 euros.
Overall, the guide did a great job and was knowledgeable and engaging throughout the experience. The stops were wonderful and we had a great time. However, the tour was advertised as lasting around 6 hours, while in reality it took closer to 9½ hours. This made planning the rest of our day difficult. Additionally, the bus was in fairly poor condition, which took away from the overall comfort of the trip. Because of the delays and the extended duration, we had to take an Uber from the final stop in order to make it to plans we had scheduled later in the day. I would strongly recommend that the experience be advertised as approximately 9 hours rather than 6, so guests can plan their schedules more accurately. With clearer expectations and improved transportation, this could be a much better overall experience.
This particular tour was more bus riding than touring. We went to Mirabella on a Saturday morning in Feb. None of the coffee shops, restaurants, stores were open so check that if going. Seasonal issues of course. Mijas worth the trip for sure.
The stops in Puerto Banus and Mijas were good but the first stop in Marbella was in my opinion was a waste of time - we got there quite early and virtually nothing was open so we just wandered around ! Yes - we could see the exteriors of buildings but that was it !
BBAAAAADDDD!!!! You tell me why you stood me up !!!! BBBBAAAADDD!!!! Not a way to run a railway, full of !!!!
A well arranged trip that is relaxing and gave sufficient time to explore. Perhaps adding 30 minutes more in Marbella would have been nice. The low rating is entirely based on the guide who was the worst of all tours I have taken in entire Spain. I could have just rented a car and driven.
Took a 6-hour tour with Covi and Javi in Dec while visiting Benalmadena. Bus picked me up right on time at stop within a 10 min walk from my hotel. Covi was delightful, expressive, informative, and fun for the 50+ people we had on the bus touring 3 cities that day. We went to Marbella, Puerto Banus, and Mijas. Very inexpensive way to get to the locations and receive some great information on all 3 places. They don’t provide a walking tour, but Covi stepped up and walked us to certain points to inform us what we could see in the time allotted. Great way to see the outskirts of Malaga. Javi did a great job driving the humongous bus and keeping us safe. Definitely recommend this tour if you are limited on time in Malaga, ask for Covi and Javi! 5 stars!
The organization of the activity was good and the views were unique and worth it. However, the "donkey taxi" in Mijas was very hard to see and I am dissapointed that this kind of animal cruelty is still exploited and enouraged in 2025.
A good day trip. Transport was easy and I got to see places I would not have seen. I appreciated being taken back to central Málaga at the end. Very good value for money. There timing of the visit was perfect.
Excellent tour! Seeing 3 beautiful places! Highly recommend! We had Aline as our guide and he was excellent!
Yesterday’s trip to Mijas and Marbella was absolutely amazing. Everything was well organized and the destinations were beautiful - from the charming streets and views in Mijas to the elegant atmosphere of Marbella. Our guide Monica was incredible in every way: friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and always making sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged. She shared interesting stories, managed the timing perfectly, and brought such positive energy to the whole experience. Overall, it was a fantastic trip and truly unforgettable thanks to both the places we visited and Monica’s outstanding guidance. Highly recommended!
It’s a nice way to see three spots in the Costa Del Sol. All three places were stunning. It would have been nice to have more time in Marbella, which has an interesting old town with Dali sculptures near the beach. We were also offered sweet wine and tapas on the rooftop of the art museum we were taken to. The only minus point for me was that the guide was very mechanical in her speech. Not much animation.
Love Marbella & Mijas. Peurto Banus was a surprise on how luxury it was. ( wine at Picasso museum was a bonus!) Bus was okay but small leg room. Sarah was great guide, her accent was a bit hard to understand but overall happy with her. Please be ontime, one man in our group of 30 was late in Mabella. We waited 10 min and had to leave , think he got back to Malaga by taxi. We had lunch in Mijas. Really nice. Well organised excursion, i would highly recommend.
Perfect day trip seeing gorgeous towns that may be less known to travelers, but are so worth the visit. Pick up and drop off was easy but there were many pick up stops along the way which make the trip feel a bit longer, but still overall convenient. Excellent guide and was very friendly and personable. Loved Mijas and would highly recommend this tour for a full day adventure from Malaga.
Great trip with fabulous guide - Carlos. Well paced and plenty of time to explore. Particularly liked the Salvador Dali museum in Mijas - small and great info from Carlos (not too much which I liked!) and we then had a complimentary glass of local wine & snacks before heading iff for a couple of hours of free time. Lovely day out. Highly recommend it.
We enjoyed Marbella and Mijas!!! Did not enjoy Banus. I found that the tour guy was hard to understand.
Great trip with lots of personal time in all stops! We especially enjoyed Mijas Del Pueblo ! We loved our guide , Sara!
Great trip, but Marbella stay was too short compared to Mijas. Too much time in Mijas, not really needed, please change itinerary and make Marbella longer thanks
Everything was fine, mirabella really cute and mijas too. We had a cloudy day so maybe we couldn't really appreciate those places as we should have.
Reason for mediocre rating is mostly the guide. She recommended certain restaurants in Mijas, promising 10% discount and good food. Food was OK, but no discount and on the bill the food was suddenly more expensive compared to the menu pricing. 5.50€ tapas was charged as a dinner. I complained and got reduced pricing. Still no discount and higher prices. The guide was rude, not waiting for people etc. Overall the idea seems to be that tourists come only once, service does not matter.
Ticket said start time was 10. Text in tour description said start time was 8:30. Got a call at 8,05 that the start was at 8. We were 20 minutes away so missed the tour. EXTREMELY POOR COMMUNICATION AND NO REFUND.
Good value day trip and coach was fully booked. We got picked up in Torremolinos and our first stop was in Marbella with 1hour 40 minutes stop then onto Puerto Banus with 40 minutes stop and then finally to Mijas Pueblo for 2.5 hours. Personally I would have liked at least one hour in Puerto Banus and just 2 hours in Mijas but it was still a very enjoyable day trip
It was a pleasure trip to Marbella and Mijas. Every penny spent was worth it. The travel guide was excellent and made the experience even better. A truly enjoyable trip!
If you are looking for a self paced tour, this is it. Excellent way to see the highlights of all the places.
Nice day trip with friendly guide Carlos who told us just enough facts and history along the way. It was well organized. Just the right amount of time to explore each location.
Very beautiful villages ! Our Guide (Juanjo10 )was very nice and gave us good info . We even visited an extra place not expected .
First 2 stops were quick and just right, Marbella and port banus; we saw the essentials. A bit of traffic due to departure time at 8h40 though but ok; Then Mijas was great. Kindda shock about the dunkeys, can’t believe they are still allowed to do that taxi thing. Very few people used them, hopefully this will stop. Overall Imanol was a great guide and we had a great driver too. Bus clean and air conditioned.
Fun tour. I enjoyed visiting these beautiful cities. I just wished we were in Marbella longer and Meja shorter.
Fantastic trip visiting Marbella Puerto Banus and Mijas. Comfortable journey, very knowledgeable and helpful tour guide. Plenty of time at each destination. Would definitely recommend 😊
The day was disappointing for us. The tour guide did not give the impression that he was interested in the entire group. Instead of explaining everything on the bus via microphone, we had to get out regularly and were supposed to get more information. That was problematic because of the traffic noise. Furthermore, they never waited until the group was completely together. This resulted in having to ask again constantly. The last part - museum and tasting - was downright denied to us. Since I rely on walking aids, I was the last one to get off the bus. The group had already received instructions. When I reached the group, the entire procession started moving. I had trouble keeping up. Then the group moved quickly up a steep staircase. Since I had no way to ask the tour guide about the elevator, we looked for it ourselves. Once we arrived at the top, the group had disappeared. We didn't know what to do next. Since we missed a crucial part of the excursion through no fault of our own, we request at least a partial refund. A tour guide who does not make sure that everyone is present should be better trained. I haven't experienced this much disregard in a long time. If I hadn't experienced an excellent tour guide two days earlier, I would lose faith in the industry. I hope for a response.
I really enjoyed the excursion from start to finish. Being taken to 3 points in Málaga in the same day is very interesting. Mijas is spectacular.
Sara the guide was wonderful, and Alfonso the driver
