Great trip, I can recommend Adurne as a host. She is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and informative on the history of Granada. I would have no hesitation suggesting the trip and the tour guide. Pace the driver was very good too .

Timing was rushed. Would have been better to start at Alhambra and then go downtown.
Be aware, Alhambra entry tickets are sold out for month in advance. Nobody tells you this until you are in the bus. Our guide Alain gave us perfect "psichodely performance" , one where you understand words, but meaning and sense are lot forever.
This tour was fantastic! The Alhambra is incredible and Our guide was very knowledgeable! 2 hours of walking around the town was nice also.
it was a nice place to visit,we enjoyed the trip.pick up point was a bit of a challenge on our way back but we called Sarah and she helped us.
This was a full day but well worth the sore feet at the end of the day! The customer service was outstanding. Whenever we contacted them with questions they promptly replied giving us peace of mind. The guide was caring, engaged and fully interested in her guests enjoyment of the day. Great commentary and interesting scenery enroute. Thanks for a memorable day!
The palace and gardens were amazing. I would recommend that the experience be marked foe people who are a bit more fit and can walk foe 3.5 hours straight. While we did get 1, 15 minute break in the middle, we had a few older folks drop out and not move on whith their paid palace tour. Id also recommended everyone get a bottle of water before the tour starts. Both our guides were wonderful as well.
Clients beware. We thought we had tickets for Alhambra but we only could do the 4 hour Granada self walking tour. We did do a free Alhambra museum visit just before it closed at 2:30. Be sure the Alhambra tour is available on this tour to select. Tickets for Alhambra go away very quickly.
Book this tour and choose garden and palace. It’s convenient and everything is talent care of! A lot of walking, but we don’t mind. We loved the late pick up time 10:25am from Malaga center, but at the same time, wished to started the day earlier, so that we’d have more time to explore Granada city center. It was a little rush with less than 2 hrs to explore. Alain was our guide and he did the best he could to herd everyone. People just needed to listen more careful and follow instructions. I felt sorry for him having to explain over and over.
This review is meant to be informative, not punitive, so the organizers can improve the experience. I know everyone works hard and I’m not trying to be arbitrarily negative, but this was a mess from beginning to end. The pickup address turned out to be a bank in downtown Malaga. When we arrived and found ourselves in a bank, we called the company and only then did they note that the pickup was in front of the bank. This vital detail was only obtained after walking around for 10-15 minutes trying to figure out where the pickup could possibly be. A simple addition of a clarifying sentence in the description would have alleviated that. Once we were picked up and on our way to Granada did we received an email informing us that the tickets we already purchased to visit the Alhambra were invalid “due to an inventory error.” I’m sorry, what?!? How can there be an “inventory error” on an electronic platform? And thanks for letting us know WHILE WE’RE ALREADY ON THE WAY THERE. There were no other tickets available which meant we could not go inside the Alhambra, which was the entire reason I wanted to go to Granada. (History nerd) If I’d known we couldn’t go to the Alhambra, I would have picked something else to do with my day. But as it was, my wife and I were now stuck in Granada for 7 hours. We made the best of it and did some shopping and ate at some great places, but that is completely beside the point. Even though they are refunding our money, an entire day of our vacation was essentially hijacked away from us. By the way, only after we arrived did we realize that the “tickets” we thought we had purchased (now invalid due to an inventory error) were in fact vouchers that needed to be exchanged for actual tickets. However, the exchange point was all the way in town, even though the bus dropped us off literally in front of the Alhambra. What is the point of making us walk a mile or more into town to get tickets for a venue we were literally just dropped off at? Very deceptive and, more importantly, entirely unnecessary! Again, this is an electronic age: just email me the tickets. But that’s ok, because they invalidated them anyway, so…thanks? The tour guide on the bus was fine, and the bus itself was fine, but the entire experience was extremely disappointing.
Long enjoyable day with time in Granada and a well knowledgeable guide in the Alambra.
The ad for the tour was very misleading. We believed that the purchase included the admission to Alhambra and the receipt had a checkmark that seemed to indicate that we had purchased the admission ticket. IT DID NOT. I had even checked the receipt 2x. the speaker system on the bus hissed. MISLEADING.
I booked this tour several months in advance and I am glad I did. I hear tickets to the Palace sell out for the summer, so make sure you book as soon as you can. Make sure you also opt for the palace, not just the gardens. Although the town below the Alhambra in Granada is charming and I love their free tapas when you buy drinks, you really need to see the Alhambra in its entirety while there. This tour consists of a guide on the bus, and another guide at the Alhambra itself. The guide at the Alhambra was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Granada and the Alhambra are absolutely worth visiting. Granada is a beautiful city with a unique atmosphere, and the Alhambra is truly an unforgettable experience. The architecture, history, and views are breathtaking, and I am very glad I had the opportunity to see it. Unfortunately, I cannot fully recommend this particular tour. The guide conducted the tour in both Spanish and English, but much of the information was given in Spanish and not everything was translated into English. As I understand some Spanish, it was clear that English-speaking guests were missing a significant part of the explanations and historical context. The constant switching between languages also made the tour feel fragmented and difficult to follow. In addition, the guide on the bus spoke English with a very strong Spanish accent, which made it challenging to understand much of the information being provided. It was also not clear from the booking information that this would be a bilingual tour rather than a dedicated English-language tour. That said, the destination itself is outstanding. Granada and the Alhambra deserve five stars; unfortunately, the organization and language arrangement of this tour reduced the overall experience.
It was a very nice trip. I was unable to do the La Alhambra tour since it was sold out although I heard it was worth seeing. I visited many sites in the city center. Lunch in the Plaza Bib Rambla was pleasant. Stop off at Restaurante Gallio they have the best sangrias.
Majestic and beautiful scenario and great guides. Wouldn't have missed for the world. However -very strenuous tour and not for the faint hearted, especially in hot weather. Needs to be more balanced in hot season. Also, take care that you are seeing the gardens only not the Palace. Not clear for tourists.
A long ride but worth every minute of the visit especially the Alhambra portion. Grenada was very interesting for walking and shopping. The palace portion of the Alhambra visit provided incredible sights. Spectacular rose garden and beautiful landscapes throughout the area.
Very large group to begin with.Mainly for us is just a transport from Malaga to Granada as we were not able to get ticket anymore to Alhambra but still iGranada is such a lovely place to visit .Though we don’t have much interaction with our guide He has given quite a very clear instruction and has guide us up to the main square and advise places to explore ,the rest is our free time to go around.Just enough time for us as well cause I think they can also just book late entrance for those who will be able to go inside Alhambra and we have to wait for them as well
The booking went thru an agency and the results were quite confusing. The confirmation email did not specify which of three possible tickets we had purchased, and we were cheated out of the third tour hour (inside the palace - which we really wanted to see) when the tix they printed categorized us incorrectly and my receipt couldn’t prove otherwise.
We had 2 free hours in Granada and then met outside Alhambra for a group tour. 2 hrs was lots of time to see Granada and grab something to eat. Lots of touristy souvenir shops. We found the guided tour long. The tour guide spoke both Spanish and English as it was a mixed group so everything was repeated twice at every stop. Repeated problems with the audio equipment. It's definitely worth seeing and you need to prebook as it was extremely busy. Saw people who did not and could not get in. Also don't forget to bring gov. issued ID. We wasted 20 minutes because 1 couple in our group didn't bring theirs. If I were to do it again, I would prebook with an audio guide and do it on our own. Spend less time Granada. Alain was our guide on the bus to and from Granada. He guided us from the bus parking to the city and explained how to get back to the meeting point. Very patient and accommodating with a large group. Different guide on the Alhambra tour.
The visit to Alhambra was very interesting, . Both our tour guide Sara and Alhambra guide Rosa were great and provided a lot of information.
Amazing trip.Beside the historical spot which are main reason to visit . Very healthy environment pollution free fresh air and very calm area around palace .
Very well organised with enough time to visit Granada and then do the Alhambra guided tour - palace and Gardens. Transportation up to Alhambra is also included as well as pick up after the end of the tour. Sara the guide was informative and her instructions in relation to meeting points and times were very clear. The visit to Alhambra is a must if taking this tour. Remember to take your passport or EU ID to enter as they are very strict.
Alahambra is well worth the tour. Would recommend adding the palaces option to it. The tour company guide we were with, Visitanddo.com, left a number of us waiting in the rain at a checkpoint for 30 min past the time they were supposed to return from a side tour of the palaces.
Worth it 100%. The driver was above top notch and the guide was great. Great value all around. The bus was clean and comfortable.
The guide and service providers were not responsible for my rating. I don’t think the headline represents what you are purchasing and there should be a separate listing for each. If going to Granada you can get there on public transport. This bus was nicer than public transport and stopped midway for restroom and snacks. The tour guide was nice and we wish we had her for a tour of Alhambra which is what we thought we were doing. We paid 75 euros for a bus ride to Granada. If that’s what you want, this is for you!
I booked only the transportation to Granada. Everything with the transportation went smoothly. Sara the guide was friendly and provided nice information on the bus ride to a Granada about the area. Please do remember that there are several options and you either need to book your ticket to Alhambra separately or select that option from the provider. We got to Granada about 11am and left around 5pm. I had my timed entry to the Nasrid palaces at 2:30pm and that allowed enough time to see the Alahambra. I spent about 3.5 hours and that was more than enough time.
Great experience visiting the famous landmark. Everything well timed, would be much harder to walk all the Alhambra palaces and sight on our own without a guide.
Fantastic day but very long and lots and lots of walking. I suggest you take the shuttle bus from Alhambra into Granada and back as there's 3 full hours of walking round the palace when you get back! The narrow streets of the Albaicín district are amazing, as is the view of Alhambra once you reach the top
Very poor information and service, total disregard for the terms of the agreement of the tour, very bad service all round
Visitanddo coach guide poor. Passenger left behind on return trip. Coach had to return to pick up but no explanation or apology given. Delay of 45 minutes.
Our tour of Granada with Ruben was superb, we really enjoyed the walking tour and our guide who was entertaining and informative.
Very nice trip to a special historical place. Well organised with a very proffesional guide. Perfect structure of the trip whit optional tour of Alhambra complex.
First, double check where exactly is the meeting spot as it can get confusing. The tour is a long day. The "tour operator" provides you transport to Grenada & Alhambra. It is free time to explore the city of Granada and have lunch, which is nice. The tour person shows you were to take the local bus back to Alhambra, which you pay (not part of the tour package). Once you are in Alhmabra, the official guide of the property walks you through the place. You meet the "tour operator" at the end of the day to take you back to Malaga.
IT was a real scam. We bought an excursion with a visit to the Alhambra, on the bus a few minutes before arriving at the Alhambra the rude guide Alain said that the ticket was not include in the package and the tickets were sold. We couldnt do anything to enter the museum for which we paid tour to Granada and Alhambra
It was a great day trip from Malaga. Guide Benjamin was excellent. He was explain the history of the places. The Alhamra palace was wonderful. The vehicle and driver was good.
You did not make it clear about the type of ticket I was buying. When my ticket said Granada and Alhambra, I assumed I would get inside Alhambra. But they told me it did not include getting in to any of the palaces and that’s why I went. I traveled halfway across the globe to do this and I am pretty furious because they said I could not buy a ticket to get in. So I traveled all that way for no reason.
I feel that you were not clear about ordering a ticket. My understanding was that I was going to Granada to see Alhambra, but when I got there, I realized I had to buy a different kind of a ticket to get inside the palaces. I flew from the United States specifically to see that and they told me it was too late to buy a ticket. I have had other unpleasant experiences with ordering tickets from your company, not necessarily your company, but the places that I stayed and some of the guides. I’ll be writing you a separate letter about the thousands of dollars I spent on this vacation and the disappointments I had. Thank you.
Unfortunately, the company bought us tickets to enter the Sultan's Palace only for 6:30 p.m. Our bus was supposed to take us back and be at the bus stop at 7 p.m. Our group members had tickets entrances for 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., but ours were for 6:30 That's why our tour guide had to take part of the group to the palaces and leave them there, then to come back for us. We ran very quickly and didn't have time to see anything because we were about to miss the bus, and it was all chaotic and not very pleasant. We bought tickets more than a month in advance here at Viator, but unfortunately, it turned out that the tickets to the palaces were sold to us at the very last minute for 6:30 pm., we entered the palace, and everyone has to be on the bus already, so the experience was not very pleasant, unfortunately, and the company should take note of this and next time buy people tickets for at least 5 PM if their bus leaves at seven, so we don't give five stars, we only give two stars.
Juan was a wonderful guide to this beautiful city. His passion for Andalusia was contagious as he shared history, farming and cultural information. Alhambra was overwhelming but delightful.
Very pleased with the tour , places visited and tour guide ( Carlos - Visitanddo) One minor problem was that we were uninformed regarding passports are necessary for entry to Alhamra Palace - this caused a bit of upset and embarrassment. We had photos of passports on mobile which eventually were accepted by unhelpful security staff. Future visitors need to be aware of this requirement. The trip to Grenada was excellent and the brief visit to the city . Carlos the guide was brilliant, informative, humorous - full of interesting facts and stories. We had to have a different guide for the Palace ( local requirement ) - who was ok. The sights of Grenada and Palace were amazing - so much culture, history and atmosphere. All in all a brilliant trip - thanks to all .
Juanjo was a wonderful guide as very pleasant and answered any questions people might have or offered to help. He always had a smile on his face and listened carefully to peoples requests or comments. Bus driver was diligent and kind and got us there and back safely. Santiago was guide at Alhambra and was good as well but on a strict schedule. Lots of nonstop walking once in Alhambra - 2.5 hours without palaces. Itinerary 10:25 left Malaga and the stop for coffee and toilet 30 mins. 12:30 arrive at top near Alhambra for meeting point. Walked down into Granada and quickly showed us where to catch bus and then plaza for lunch places. We ate at Manuelas near church for tapas. Meatballs were fist size and 2 Euros. Bus up at 3:30 to meeting point and started Alhambra tour at 4 til 6:30. Palace group continued while we exited and went back to meeting point and enjoyed refreshments above in restaurant. Left at 7:30 and back to Malaga around 9.
It was a great tour but it was a lot of quick walking. Some in our party had issues keeping up. We did see all there was to see- but more info before starting about timing of the various parts would have made it easier to plan accordingly.
We really enjoyed this - the bus was right on time, the guide on the bus shared interesting facts throughout the bus ride and la Alhambra was spectacular! For myself and my friend it was a great trip. I would say that there should be warnings for anyone that doesn't do a lot of walking - not only is there a lot but it's quite uneven in places. I wish I'd planned better so we could have spent some extra time in Granada as well, what we saw of it made us want more!
It was a well organized trip overall. The guide in Alhambra was knowledgeable and interesting. Be prepared to spend long time walking, but it is certainly worth it.
Nice guide Alain, explained everything well in the bus and guided us to the meeting points in Granada. The bus was clean, the driver was professional
Pick up and drop off were seamless, however, on the way there the bus spent 30 minutes at a truck stop designed to price gouge the tourists (the drive from Malaga is not that long that you need a bathroom break as evidenced by the fact that they do not stop there on the way back), the time would have been MUCH better spent in Granada. Alhambra is very beautiful and the views are outstanding, however, the tour was far too detailed (i.e., too much time spent standing in one place) for my liking, I would prefer to get an overview as I can read the details online, I would rather spend time wandering around exploring. Our guide, Noelia, was very nice and knowledgeable.
For me, there was too much time standing in one place listening to extremely detailed explanations of Alhambra's history. I would prefer an overview (I can read details online) and more time to walk around and explore. That said, our guide, Noelia, was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. Pickup and drop off we're seamless, however, we did spend 30 mins at a truck stop (where you can buy things) which I could have done without - the time would have been much better spent in the town of Granada.
Wonderful trip and coordination. Our guide for the Alhambra palace was excellent. I would recommend that you bring a snack and water as there is little time for food if you take the palace your options. Also be prepared for walking numerous steps and inclines
We were picked up at 10.2am and driven to Granada. On the bus we were informed that the visit to the Alhambra would commence at 4pm and finish just before 7pm. We would then be driven back to our pick up point in Malaga. As we only booked the free time tour, this meant we were on our own from about 12.30pm until 7pm. Had we known this we would not have booked the tour. We would have taken a train to Granada ant a time to suit us, not arrive back at 9pm
