Caminito Del Rey With Pickup From Nerja, Torrox And Torre Del Mar

It was all perfectly organised. A fantastic day and Luis (or Louis, not sure about the correct spelling) was one of the best guides! Very knowledgeable and well educated. A smart joke here and there. An excellent experience!

Great day trip, really enjoyable! Walk was really easy, couple of bit some people might not like if your scared of heights. Thanks to our guide Carmen who was well spoken and informative.

This tour was a highlight of our trip to Andalusia. The Caminito del Ray is an outstanding area of natural beauty, an awe-inspiring landscape and a feat of engineering. We joined the tour in Nerja, the coach trip is quite long at over 2 hours with pick-ups, but our super-friendly guide Luis kept us entertained with info about the local area, speaking seamlessly between German and English. We were guided through through the canyon by another guy called Luis, who made the trip for us - his knowledge of the terrain, geography, history and wildlife brought the walk to life, we learnt so much from him. Walking the boardwalks high above the river and around the mammouth limestone slabs was exhilarating - the renovation of the walkways has been beautifully done - safe, but not sanitised. We've never experienced anything quite like it, and will remember it as a highlight of our holiday. Excellent value for money too.

We picked up on time outside our hotel Riu Monica & the guide onboard was excellent,vey informative,,knowledgeable & friendly. The walk through the canyon was just beautiful ,exceptional. I do think most people could do it ,not to much up downs ,& could be done in a good pair of trainers. That did supply a small bottle of water each which was fine for us . Our guide through the canyon was also very good . There was time to stop at the end to buy drinks & fast food ,souvenirs ect but that area was plagued buy swarms of very persistent and annoying wasp ,.unfortunate but certainly didn’t Detract from a exceptional day we will never forget.

From the moment of pick up, we felt well looked after, the coach was v comfortable and air conditioned. Once we were underway Luis was giving us snippets of information about things on the journey, and as we got closer he explained what would happen when we got to the Caminito, he was professional and funny and put everyone at ease, the caminito is amazing and very safe, give it a go!

Great hike. This should definitively be on your bucket list. The guides and drive were great. Highly recommend !

Had a good experience with Viajes Pareja Tours. Good communication prior to tour. Appreciated the pick up near my hotel very convenient although it makes for a longer morning to pick everyone. It’s a long day so snacks and plenty of water needed (was provided with bottle but you def need more). Comfortable shoes a must.

Very convinient and well organised. All was clear, easy and with full support. Trial itself is absolutely stunning with unbelievable and breathtaking views.

Luis was great at explaining the history of the region. Dunia was also great leading my groups walk.

This tour was well worth it. Luis was a great guide from beginning to end; friendly, lots of jokes and wonderful history lessons about Costa del sol (past and present). The bus was comfortable and everything ran smoothly. And oh what a hike the caminito was. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend with this tour.

Pick up from our hotel was 7.50 . Stopped in Torox & Malaga to pick up. We had time for a quick coffee & sandwiches if wanted. Pleasant journey & info from our tour guide on route. Take plenty of water as it’s a good 2 hour walk or get at the Camino. Helmets supplied & earphones for the tour. No need to worry about heights as walkway is safe & wide enough if you don’t wish to look down. Plenty of chances to take pics . An amazing place with fantastic views

Fantastic walk with informative guide

We loved our trip to Caminito del Rey and would highly recommend anyone doing it if you’re thinking about it. Our tour guides were great; Lois on the bus was very informative and very friendly, he shared a lot of information on the way to and from destination in both English and German. We had clear guidance about pick up points and when on the bus timings too. Caminito Del Rey was epic, very breathtaking and a beautiful site to see. We are both not great with heights but felt safe the whole time and loved taking in the scenery. We would suggest taking plenty of water as it was very hot there, plus be prepared for a long day. We went from Nerja at 7:45 and arrived back at nearly 5pm.

This was a great experience. It’s a long time on the bus from Nerja, however it was much easier than hiring a car or getting public transport. Louis was very informative and helpful and the trek itself was excellent. Our driver was also very skilled and managed to negotiate some very tricky situations with ease!

Our tour guide at Caminito del Rey, Arancha, was a very humorous, knowledgeable guide. We unfortunately got caught by a rain half way through the walk but her sense of humour and encouraging spirit helped us and other people power through! The guide on the bus (Luis) and the bus driver (Miguel) were also quite friendly and welcoming as well.

Luis was the perfect guide, professional, helpful, calm, clear. Lots of interesting information about the area and the walk, both on the bus and on the walk. His language skills are incredible. Our tour was in English then German, and he switched back and forth effortlessly. The paths and walkways we walked on were in good shape. Some steps to climb. Spectacular walk and vistas.

It is amazing well worth it I will definitely be back to do it again on my return. The guide was so knowledgeable and great fun he really held all our attention.

It was a fantastic day! A must see when visiting the Costa del Sol. The tour operator was well organized, sensitive to all clients needs, and communication requirement seamlessly integrated into narrative . Transportation was on time and very comfortable. It’ll be a highlight to our stay in Nerja!

Everything was very professional, bus on time, friendly informed guides, and a safe driver. The walk was at a pace that everyone could enjoy and take in the views. Not a difficult walk by any means and time to eat at the end without rushing back to the bus so very enjoyable.

Wow! What an experience! Nature at its best with spectacular views everywhere you look. Our guide Luis was excellent! It was very obvious he enjoys meeting people and guiding. Very professional. He made the day fun, interesting and kept us entertained with stories. Kudos for keeping everything fresh and exciting for us, when I know you’ve done it all 400+ times before. Bonus seeing the 2 mountain goats and learning about vultures. Luis shared lots of history and information about the area driving to the Caminito del Rey. Very organized with pickups, on time, bathroom breaks, explaining what would happen, and keeping our group together. Really appreciated Luis taking pictures of our group at key photo op locations. Our driver Rafa provided a smooth, easy ride. There is a large parking lot for those who drive independently. I was a bit nervous as not keen on heights, but the views of the gorge walking the 7km are so spectacular looking down didn’t bother me. Everything is very safe and secure. The walking platforms were actually much wider than I expected. Certainly wider than the ones from the past! We are 8 Canadian friends travelling together. We think this tour is the hi lite of our month visit in Spain! Highly recommend!

The daytour was an entirely very positive experience. The schedule was kept, the bus was very comfortable, and the guide was both knowledgeable and friendly. The hike itself was fantastic and not at all scary, which I had feared. I truly recommend this day tour!

We booked a guided tour to do the walk and our brilliant guide was Luiz, fluent in both English and German. He was both professional and informative and he made the trip extremely interesting and fun. Our driver Rachel also deserves a mention for her impeccable driving . The walk itself was breath taking and something none of us will ever forget. We would highly recommend booking this experience.

We had a great trip , we were picked up in Nerja , 2and half hour drive , but made interesting and fun by our guide Luis , the walk itself is beautiful, not as scary as it looks ! 😊 Very interesting, with great scenery

This hike was next-level amazing. The Caminito del Rey totally lives up to the hype—you’re walking along cliffside paths with jaw-dropping views of the gorge, turquoise river, and towering rock walls. It’s wild in the best way. Huge shoutout to our guide, Louis, who made the whole experience even better. Super friendly, full of cool facts, and kept the group moving at just the right pace. We never felt rushed, but we also didn’t waste time—everything ran like clockwork. Louis even pointed out spots we might’ve missed and made sure everyone felt safe and confident. Would 100% recommend—especially if you get Louis as your guide.

The journey on the coach, to the walk, took so long from Nerja (6 hours round trip). I think this should be made clearer in the initial information. For me there were too many people on this tour and I would of been happier with a smaller number of people. I did'nt understand what the tour guide was saying so turned off the commentary in the end. We were lucky because it started to rain near the end of the walk.

Excellent guide, trip & day. Weather perfect not too hot! Easy walk but good trainers essential. Views are beautiful.. it was well worth the journey

Raymond, the guide on the coach was great and made sure everyone understood where to meet for our return. Ramon, our tour guide around the cliffs was absolutely amazing and very informative, they was around 15 in our group, and he made sure everyone could hear and understand him. I would highly recommend this trip, and next time I take friends, I will ensure we have Ramon has our guide. Well, done Raymon you were EXCELLENT.

Camino del rey interesting trip but long transfer times from Nerja with drop offs along way (approximately 3 hours). For us it was a 10 hour trip from start to finish. Pick up at 9.10. . 25 minute toilet stop and very quick coffee at 11.35 then no refreshments or toilet stop till finish walk at about 4pm. Aware that no food or drink stops in park but saw other groups stopping for short break. We had a snack in bag but you had to eat on the move. No toilet stop on 3 hour journey back. Walk itself stunning

We have been on tours worldwide and this is definitely one of the best. Beautiful scenery and interesting history, and a thrill to walk. Our guide ..Ramon...was very good. Informative and humerous. He ran the tour very well. Bus driver was very experienced and they both made a great tour even better. Would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic experience, this is the second time we have done this tour. Both times through Viator, the process is so easy. Caminito is something everyone should experience, fun and fantastic day out.

Absolutely breathtaking, a must-do if you are in the area. Even better than the photos you see online! It’s about 9km in total with the actual experience being 5km. I’m not super fit and I found it easy enough, you can just do it at your own pace and at this time of year it’s not over crowded. Definitely a tour you will remember forever - we all loved it

The Caminito is a stunning walk but nowhere near as ‘edgy’ or scary as it seems to be advertised. Most of it is on normal mountain paths and the bits that are attached to the side of the canyon are now so substantial it didn’t make a lot of difference. If you are someone who suffers that ‘whoa!’ vertigo feeling you may find it more challenging but my friend who is very scared of heights and considered not going said it was fine and even a little disappointing as she wasn’t taken out of her comfort zone. That said it’s a beautiful walk in a stunning location which I would recommend if you are staying nearby. Our trip from Nerja was far too long with all the pickups and drop offs along the way meaning longer in the coach than actually at the destination. Our guide Luis was friendly and professional but I had two problems: 1). We booked an English speaking guide but half our group were German so everything was repeated and I got fed up hearing it in my ear (when the pretty useless earpiece stayed on). I love languages - I am currently in Spain learning Spanish - but I just didn’t enjoy the repetition and having to be on alert for when Luis changed to English. Something to maybe check if it would bother you too. 2). There was not enough general information given about the area. I wanted to know more about the geology and the flora and fauna. How the paths were constructed etc. but we had long periods of ‘radio silence’. The tour group behind us (from another company) were English. The young girl leading them was giving great info. Really interesting and allowing people to ask questions. I ended up hanging back listening to her instead during our quiet times. I dudnt need to have a long period of quiet to then be told ‘this is a beautiful view’ then silence - we were all on the lookout for the views and to be fair they were hard to miss! Overall I probably wouldn’t recommend this tour especially if going from Nerja. However, these are the things I personally didn’t like so if they won’t bother you it’s worth it for the scenery. No adrenaline fuelled experience tho.

All I can say is excellent, from start to finish. The tour guide was great very knowledgeable of the area. A great day out.

A unique walk on well constructed platforms along the cliffs for spectacular views. The groups were well organised by guides along the way with spaces between to give time to soak in the experience.
