Nice tour and we really enjoyed being a small group! The guide Amanda was very friendly and professional - it simply was fun!

Thank you so much for the private tour. We were not expecting to have learnt so much history and all the knowledge of the area. Loved it all. Stefano was amazing and loved having us, he seemed to relax and enjoy as much as us!
If you are not staying in Malaga, and you don’t have a car, it’s very challenging and very expensive to reach the location of this activity. I spent almost €500 for myself and my two teens to do this and in the end we could not get a ride to and from the location in time. I would not have booked it if I knew this. We tried to get a refund but the operator refused. I understand they’re in business to make money but even a partial refund would’ve been appreciated. We used Viator for every trip and have never had this problem before.
Amazing Marco! Marco!! Marco!!! He was an incredible tour guide… This adventure is long enough to learn so much history about Park Güell but condensed enough to keep my teenagers’ interest!
Juanma was amazing. Went above and beyond to be flexible and offered information which was so helpful to understand the area we were walking through. An amazing experience and would highly recommend.
A canyon with a bit of water and steepsided rock face. Probably not really doing it justice but that's my view. Dont go if you don't like heights (any height); can get exceptionally busy with group tours; about a 2K walk down from the entrance to collect your hardhat (compulsory), tickets brought in advance and a 3K+ walk to the south exit after the bridge. The walk itself is between 3-7k if you do the extra bits into the National Park. If you are not expecting this seriously lengthy uphill steps at the end (I wasn't) - it is not good for knees then the long walk to the car/coach point - this did my ankles in; avoid the trail. Whilst the walk on the trail was nice it was marred by this bit out of the canyon.
It was breathtaking and our tour guide was lovely but we did ask for an English speaking tour guide and he was Spanish and quite difficult to understand. It was also extortionate!
What a beautiful and amazing place. Our guide, Juanma, did a nice job of pointing out all the features and telling us the history of the area. However, it was windy and hard to hear what he was saying throughout the tour, even though it was just the two of us. I will say that it was hot and the path at the end is not easy - about eight flights of steps and uphill to the shuttle bus. DO NOT wear anything but good walking shoes. It is approximately five miles - start to finish. You will be turned away if you wear flip flops. Bring water and a snack. The tour was great but, if we had to do it again, we’d pay the fee to get into the park and walk on our own.
Juan was excellent. So passionate about the park. Highly recommend. So knowledgeable. Beautiful scenery.
The Caminito del rey tour was fantastic. Olga was friendly and so knowledgeable - she let us go at our pace and gave us the history and showed us nuances we might have missed on our own. It's definitely worth seeing and experiencing.
Fabian, our guide, was simply outstanding as we not only enjoyed the hike through the canyon but he shared his evening with friends that were all so kind. Lovely experience.
Our guide Juanma had a great knowledge about the area and made the trip very exciting by telling us a lot of local stories
Our guide Omar was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and informative . The trip is something I have wanted to do for a very long time so I am pleased to finally have done it . The scenery was amazing breathtaking .
My partner and I found a private tour the optimal way to hike Caminito del Rey. Yes, it’s more expensive that a large group or unguided tour but it was so worth the extra cost. No waiting in long lines. No being at the mercy of a large group’s potentially slow pace. And no struggling to hear commentary from the back of the pack. This allowed us to listen and ask questions while on the move and hike at a brisker pace. Rachel was an encyclopedia of knowledge and wove us through large groups of stationary hikers like we were VIP’s. We are not ones to stand and listen for long periods of time so we got to set our preferred speed. Kudos to Rachel for a great morning. The train from Málaga Maria Zambrano to El Chorro and back was a breeze and we had plenty of time to enjoy a wonderful lunch at La Garganta while waiting for our train back to the city.
I had a private tour guide and her name is Olga. She was excellent and was extremely informative. The walk is amazing in itself but Olga was very knowledgeable on all kinds of aspects, eg, tress, mountain formations etc. which gave me a great experience. I highly recommend Olga as a tour guide!
Our tour with Luis was fabulous! He is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and eager to share interesting information and stories. The "hike" is not difficult at all and the views are amazing. The only negative about this tour is the need to pay for a shuttle bus to return to the parking area near the meeting place. It should be provided as part of the cost of the tour especially for the private tour as we had. We drove from Ronda which took an hour but well worth it. Caminito del Rey is not to be missed! A unique and unforgettable place!
Exhilarating! Well organized too! Everything was on time and interesting. The break in Ardales, the hike, the break after, all well timed and exciting. Miguel was a great host for the trip.
What a wonderful way to see the countryside of southern Spain! And Amanda, our guide, could not have been nicer! Our group of 9 LOVED this experience!! Good to be outside and the hike was long and beautiful! Absolutely a must do, but be prepared to walk (almost 4.5 miles!). Don't let the "most dangerous walkway" thing scare you though. The walk is very safe!
Our guide Rosi was wonderful, she took time to teach us about the history of the Caminito and point out things of interest with a leisurely patience. The scenery was breathtaking! Unfortunately, I twisted my ankle badly which caused me to fall just as we were finishing the walk. Rosi got me some ice, sat me in a chair to rest and found a taxi driver to take me home. This kind of care and consideration goes over and beyond the call of duty and I was so grateful to her. All in all it was a wonderful trip and we all had an amazing time, I would recommend this tour (and especially Rosi) to anyone without hesitation.
Our guide was exceptional. Fascinating history. Gorgeous views. Crowded trail, it that can be expected.
Our guide, Tina was outstanding! She was so full of positive energy and information she immediately got you excited about the walk before it even began. The walk itself was spectacular. The views were incredible and the experience through Viator and Tina was seamless. A fantastic day!
Fabulous walk. Getting tickets to enter a bit complicated, worth pursuing. Need to register first, tickets cost E10. We drove to the north site, where the walk starts, in February. Arrived about 11.30 am and parking a bit confusing. There is a car park, charging E2 but it was full. Parking by restaurant kioskie (toilets there) but these spaces full too and parked up a side track . Might be difficult if very busy. Great walk, stunning scenery and much safer than I’d thought. Walkway very safe and as long as you don’t have issues with heights, very easy.
Excellent tour and our tour guide Rosi is the best. It’s a beautiful place and its a must see in Andalucía. For a small family or a couples visit a private tour is the way to go.
We had a fantastic day at Caminito Del Rey. Our guide, Lordes, was full of knowledge. She made our hike better than we could have imagined.
Even beyond as amazing as we expected it would be! Yvonne was friendly, knowledgeable, and capable! Highly recommend.
The view was amazing . Interesting trip with the guide on this beautiful day. Sorry that the schedule was changed, we rather had come in the morning.
One of the coolest experiences of our life. Nowhere else can you hike mid-way through a canyon. Breathtaking views and friendly, knowledgeable tour guides. Cannot recommend this hike enough. We did a night at La Garganta Hotel and did this hike on our way from Sevilla to Granada and it was one of the highlights of our trip!
We enjoyed our Caminito del Rey tour very much 😃. It was such an amazing experience and our tour guide gave the tour an additional dimension with all her knowlege of the Caminito that she shared with us. I really do recommend this tour!
Great day trip from Malaga. It was a bit chilly in the gorge so bring a warm top just in case. Easy enough walk, mostly flat and a few steps near the end. Beautiful scenery.
Don’t miss this if you have a spare day in Malaga. Breathtaking and unforgettable three hour walk through majestic scenery, starting with a 500m tunnel carved through the mountains. This opens onto a gravel path to the start of the Caminito. Here you don helmets and start the journey along the walkway attached to the cliff. How they constructed this defies understanding but it is built securely. Nonetheless, it’s a bit scary at times, particularly the bridge crossing of the gorge with a fast flowing river far below. Very well monitored by staff along the way. Spectacular views throughout, this was the high spot in so many ways of our holiday in the Mediterranean.
The Caminito del Rey hike is one of the most beautiful nature experiences I have ever been part of. From the entry to the valley through a long dark tunnel to the amazing beauty on the other side. Then the mind blowing canyon a hundred meters below you and often as much above you walking on ledges attached to the rock wall. Then the amazing finale traversing a hanging bridge across the ravine, and stories about the people that died there. Our guide Marcelo made an already maxing experience so much better by telling stories spanning 100 million years to the more recent history from 100’years ago to the recent construction of the new much safer pathways.
I can really recommend this tour, even without a guide! This is a more cheap option and you can even enjoy it more! There are many information boards on the way that tell you historical facts about the Caminito del Ray and you are completely free in your decision in which places you want to stop to take a picture and when you rather feel like going on. Personally I don't like guided groups as I just don't like the feeling of walking in big groups, listening to a guide and not being independent in my pace and my tour. So this option is definitely also recommended for families, as there are nice places to stop and have a small lunchbreak or even just let the kids play around a bit (it´s all safe, they can't fall down anywhere ;) )
Went from ship to trail then hiked. It was not a difficult hike and wss very safe. The views were outstanding and quite often you could see parts of the old trail and realizing how dangerous it was. I think 3 million euros were spent making the new trail. The guide did a good job explaining things and we moved slow but steady with one rest stop. It was a short hike, I think it was only about 5 miles but well worth doing.
It was a wonder Our guide Antonio shared his passion for this beautiful place He is a very interesting man who knows his subject well and the place is sublime
Absolutely fantastic nature experience, we had ordered a guided tour, as tickets for the tour alone could not be found at the time of booking, it was good to get her information and history about the area with. She spoke English well. Guide to parking/shuttle buses and other information was a bit difficult to find out. We arrived there by car and the place for our ticket type was about 3 km from the starting point, but there are shuttle buses. It was a fantastic great nature experience to go the trip, everything is safe and safely made, so if you do not have a height fear there is nothing to think about. We saw eagles on the trip.
Exciting tour along old waterways. Upgrade of the route completed later. Easy to find and well organized. Just remember to book tickets in good time.
Very nice walk in a canyon in the back country with spectacular views of the river The organization is unfortunately non-existent because programming departures in small groups of 10 people we find ourselves leaving everyone together ...free and organized visits together ... What a pity that a bad organization somewhat tarnishes the interest of the activity
So glad we got booked tickets for this spectacular tour! An experience you never forget! We were two couples who booked private tour with guide. We stayed in the old town in Malaga, and based on previous reviews we decided to take a taxi instead of betting on bus/train. It took 50 minutes and cost 75 euros one way. You walk from A to B, and anyone who thinks there are lots of taxis at the end of the place is wrong! Had the guide not known a taxi driver in the area, we would probably have stood there yet...due to road work, the train was adjusted, and the bus went 4 hours after we were finished with the trip. I was a little nervous when I had high fears, but this is not what I associate with high fears. Our private guide Carlos Lopez was amazing! He made this trip an entirely different experience than if we had to go alone. Very knowledgeable about everything from the history of Caminito del Rey to animals, birds, insects, trees etc. In addition very funny and charming! We're just so sorry we didn't have the cash to give him tips! Booked tour via Viatour, can be recommended!
Jederzeit gerne wieder (:
Great guided walk. Good explanation of history and flora and fauna. Hike is 100% safe. Some basic condition is required. Good excursion. Only downside is the shuttle bus on the way back. It is absolutely not clear where it stops. Our driver had problems with his ticket machine and kept everyone waiting and was downright rude. We arranged our tickets through the website getyourguide and this was without a doubt well arranged. The route is 4.7 km long but due to the gentle pace you are sweet for half a day. In particular, the last part over the wobble bridge is tough due to the many stairs.
Beautiful walk along the rock where you can still see parts of the old walking route. Beautiful view well cordoned off walking route you get helmet on for safety. You shouldn't be afraid of heights. We had bought tickets online in advance. You can park in the parking lot on time 2 euros is at restaurant. Otherwise have to go by road. From there you walk through well-lit tunnel in +|_ 20 minutes to entrance Caminito
We booked our entrance tickets the day before via the open-door website. You have to book an arrival time which for us was 10:45, but we arrived at 9:45, and were able to enter the canyon. Moreover we felt alone, because very few visitors. It was really great. For the bus that takes you back to the parking lot, no need to book.
Paisaje y naturaleza increíble. El camino no se hace muy largo y es plano. Nuestro guía Antonio Sanchez nos contó muchos datos interesantes!
Beautiful trip through the Desfiladero Getaine. Access still chaotic. After so many years of opening up, it must be possible to place visitors in the correct queues. With signs or something. Now a ranger will send you to a kiosk, which will then send you back to another row, which is unclear what it is for. Organizing is apparently not in the hands of management.
We were picked up at the agreed time from Malaga with a private transfer where we were taken to the meeting point. There our guide Ricio was waiting for us. She was genuinely interested in us as guests. She told a lot about the different layers that make up the rocks, which animals live in the area, which native trees are there and which were imported, the history of Caminito del Rey etc. In short had a lot of information and a nice walk. At the end our private transfer was waiting for us again. We did give feedback to the organization that it would be nice if the website stated what costs are approximately added when you want to use a private transfer from the surrounding areas. We had to pay an extra 190 euros for this (from Malaga city). We thought this was quite an amount that you have to pay extra on the tour.
The Caminito del rey is a path on wooden walkways and steel cables suspended along the gorge of a river at varying heights, up to about 100 meters, very suggestive, and even those who suffer a little from vertigo can do it because it is all safe and the view is fantastic, especially if one is lucky enough to find a beautiful day as happened to us. If you go to Malaga, pop in, you will arrive in an hour, but I assure you that it is worth it.
Beautiful hike of 7.7kms.To do absolutely except those who are dizzy. Does not give the impression of spending more than 2 hours walking because between the shots and the contemplation, you do not see time passing.
Place of great interest to visit, necessary to bring water as well as comfortable clothes, as you still walk a little. Follow with a camera or a mobile phone that takes good photos
Nous avons beaucoup aimé cette sortie mais trouvons que le tarif est trop élevé même avec la présence d'une guide. Cela dit, elle était bien sympathique.
