Great experience. Total walking was about 8km-wouldn’t want to do this on a hot day. Caminito guide was very informative although the transmitter was so static it was difficult to understand him.
Local pickup in Torremolinos on time. Lovely coach. Excellent walk with tour guide. Brilliant views in great weather. Good picnic area with shops selling drinks and food. Thoroughly worth the time.
Fantastic experience the views were amazing definatly recommend it 👌
It was an amazing experience, the guides were very helpful and informative. The views are incredible.
Our guide Michael was only in his job 3 weeks, his knowledge was excellent. Great way with people
If you are planning to travel to Spain, Malaga this excursion is a MUST! Breathe taking and so easy! 100/5 recommended
Everything about this was amazing. So breathtaking the photos do not do it justice. We went on a very hot day and our guide gave us loads of breaks in the shade. Hector the guide was so funny and informative throughout the process can't recommend him enough and Janet did an amazing job on the bus ensuring we were all safe and enjoying our time. The walk was easier than expected with little inclines, for my thick thighed girlies I'd recommend some long leggings as the chafing was the only downfall of the day 😂 and bring lots of water as it is not included. Cute little area at the end with toilets (at the beginning too) where you can have food and drink, you get loads of time to recover and relax before heading back. The bus had great aircon and very comfy. 💞
What an incredible day! Janet was an amazing guide and made the day wonderful. Great history, explanation and attention to detail. My husband and zi missed the tour bus pickup, which was totally our fault due to cruise ship not docking in time. Janet provided very specific instructions on how and when to meet her so we could connect with our tour. She was amazing and stayed in touch. We so appreciate her helping us make this trip happen!
Pickup location gets confusing with so many different tour picking up there. Once at location guide leads you to entry of the park then park guide walk you through which was excellent. The tour is more brisk paced so people with some difficulties walking fast and climbing some stairs this may not be for you. Took about 2.5 hrs to walk. Doing it solo at your leisure may be doable.
The views are amazing. Learning more about that area was very insightful into the past. The walk is not vigorous, but I would say there are challenging parts. More with footing not with elevation. Make sure you wear comfortable good shoes. Watch out for the narrow stairs. This was so worth the money, pictures do not do it justice. One thing that it’s not listed on the booking is that you will stop in a little village for lunch after your hike?
It was well organized and the tour guide speak good English.
Be prepared for rigorous walking up and down including steps and heights. The views are spectacular and a must see. There is a little confusion with pick up since the bus comes from other locations and is not necessarily on time. There are multiple busses picking up at the same location so it took a while to find ours. Once on the bus and the tour started it was great.
Absolutely excellent from start to finish. Simple and precise instructions all way long making trip stress free. Janet, our guide on the bus, made sure we are well taken care of and Ian the tour guide on route with his knowledge and character entertained us with facts and humour. Definitely worth the visit and regardless that weather was rather cloudy, the views were still breathtaking.
This is an amazing walk but not if you are afraid of heights! The guide was very informative & the scenery is spectacular
Great experience. Wonderful scenery and well organized. Worth visiting.
It’s a great day out in nature and wildlife with awesome views. I just felt s bit rushed and couldn’t spend as much time as we wanted to just soaking in the atmosphere and views around us
It was a memorable experience, informative. The guide was knowledgeable and patient. The views were amazing and it was so peaceful
Wear the right footwear and take a rucksack with an extra layer and plenty of water. It can get windy and chilly
The trip along the Caminito del Rey was more than fantastic. I've been dreaming about this two years ago, and finally it happened! Our guide, Janet, already briefed us with information about the hike while we were on the bus. Our tour guide, Inma, was wonderful! She was accommodating to answer questions and good-humored. It was an interactive tour and a fun one at that. The trail path is safe and secured. I noticed that there were staff stationed at certain areas to ensure that the guidelines are being followed. The weather around this time of the year was perfect for the hike. Around 20 degrees. Couldn't ask for more.
The bus tour guide was Janet was great. Funny lady. The Caminito del Rey itself was amazing. But, the audio system they gave to use for the guided walk was horrible. So much static you couldn’t understand the guide. The tour guide on the walk was nice but fix the audio system or give out a pamphlet people can read. Beautiful area. Highly recommend!
This was a great way to see the Caminito del Rey! Our trail guide, Maria, was a delight and we got so much more out of the walk than we would have without a guide. Janet, our guide on the bus, was really clear and informative and our bus driver was terrific. This was a highlight of our Malaga stay.
A must do great experience. Easily managed the walk with no difficulty
Really great trip, well organised, very informative, lovely friendly, fun guide! Directions to bus stop/ meeting point in Malaga could be clearer
We were with Niko the English guide in our caminito. He is amazing and funny. Lots of good to know facts and humor. It was fun walking did not realize time went by so quick. My only recommendation is for our bus to have the name of the guide and bus driver so we wont get lost.
Brilliant experience through a stunning ravine. We saw Griffin Vultures, Mountain Goats and many birds and plants. Janet our guide was excellent so imformative
Last minute booking as Caminto had been closed when trying to do it by train. Booking was easy but not grt on detailed info, got a txt frm the guide straight away to confirm. Received emailed tickets and a meeting point. The coach was delayec but, as others were there they had Received txt to say coach was delayed. A bit disorganised around area as other tours start frm same place. Tour was good, but the ear phone guides talk thru wasnt the best sound quality. Other than that the walk was pretty easy. Toilets at end and at start, walking total aprrox 2hrs.
We had a great guide named Christopher very friendly and knowledgeable he made the whole trip informative and entertaining well worth having a guided tour
It was easy and good price. I liked the guide. The buss driver was very professional and everything was smooth and nice
It was a nice trip. I would also like to commend the young guide Iris, who made the trip even more interesting with her fun extras.
What a wonderful from pick up to drop off. The Caminito Del Rey itself was unbelievable. We had a local guide Antonio who was brilliant and amazing wealth of knowledge. Well worth it
Great experience. Beautiful views, very unique. Our tour organizer, Janet, did a nice job. We were visiting Malaga for a few days and booked this day trip. Highly recommend this tour.
Much hotter than you think but views are spectacular and unexpected landscapes. flora and fauna.Guide was great too
If you are visiting Malaga or nearby and you like to Hike, would definitely recommend this trip. The tour guides Janet and Vicky were great and very informative
Fantastic experience. The bus took us to/from central Malaga, and during the trips our guide Janet was great. For the duration of the cliff walk hike we had a local guide who was also excellent. The hike is very safe and we had a great time, though if you do this hike in summer, it is very hot, so take water and sunscreen!
The views were incredible and the guides were able to give us a lot of information about the Caminito Del Ray! I would highly recommend this experience for everyone, as they make it very easy for anyone to do.
The coach arrived at the allotted location bang on time, and our tour guide ( Janet) was superb, she was not only very informative about the area, but was clear and precise with instructions about the day and timings etc. The gorge walk itself was brilliant and breathtaking, and very well organised, despite walking in groups we had time to take it all in Without feeling we were being herded. Our guide was local to the area, and had climbed the surrounding area many times, so he brought a wonderful element to the experience. I would highly recommend this trip. A special thanks to Janet, for her time and energy.
This was an excellent trip, and I have always wanted to do it…and it didn’t disappoint! Janet, our guide was very helpful and expertly managed a group of 54 people. Our local guide for the walk, Adrian, was one of the nicest people you could meet, and his knowledge and enthusiasm was inspiring. I would highly recommend this trip!
What a fantastic tour. We loved every minute. The views are spectacular. Our guide was brilliant. We can honestly say it was the highlight of our holiday.
Beautiful scenery exploring caminito de rey. Great guide, amazing views and natural beauty. Would highly recommend
Amazing experience and well organised. Janet was our tour lead who was fluent in French and Spanish and probably other languages too. We took a full size coach that took about an hour. The caminito is stunning - you can see from the pictures. It is busy - 1200 visitors a day, so don’t expect a boardwalk in isolation. We had time allocated for toilet stops and a drink at the end. Only thing for the organisers to note is the meeting point is not 100% clear in the directions
I may be the wrong type person to review this tour because I prefer an untamed trail but for someone else that doesn't live in a mountainous area and not a seasoned hiker, this tour is perfect. The trail is well kept, boarded and an easy stroll. There are some steps but anyone with good mobility and a little endurance, would enjoy this hike. More of a stroll verses a hike. Beautiful canyon and waterfalls.
The views on this walk are absolutely stunning. Our tour guides (Janet and Christoble) were really lovely and very knowledgeable. This is a lovely way to spend a day / morning and we were back in Malaga in time for lunch.
Great experience, coach from central Malaga and Janet provided useful information on the coach and also acted as supporting Guide on the walk, with a local `guide also provided. Definitely a challenging walk, but enjoyable!
Fabulous trip. Stunning views. Jesus was an excellent and knowledgeable guide taking time for everyone. Remember your water and picnic for end of the walk.
Absolutely worth it! I liked that it was the shortest of all the guided tours for this experience, it was rated at 2-3 hours and also started the earliest for the Malaga pickup at 8AM. I really don’t see how you could spend much more time on this if what you want to see is the caminito del rey. The earphones they provide are practically disposable (same the airlines would provide) and mine stopped working halfway through the tour, I just stuck closer to the guide but it was otherwise nice to not have the headphones in. If you have your own headphones that include the analog cable/jack, I’d recommend bringing them to see if they work. I didn’t like that the headphones were all one-time-use products.
It's something about Janet I really like. She's a whole vibe. She was an amazing guide and I enjoyed that she let us be, gave just enough information, gave us time for food at the end. I like Janet's style and energy. The views in Caminto Del Rey are just breathtaking.
This was a wonderful experience, Janet our trip guide from Malaga to El Caminito was very informative. Stefano, our hike guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. Stefano kept the group interested with providing detailed information about flora and fauna, animals and fossils in the region and the archaeological details. The hike itself is easy to mildly moderate in few places but definitely recommend this activity and our guide Stefano.
I have tried Viator tour before and that is why I tried it again. The experience at the park itself Caminito del rey was wonderful . Our guide was patient and informative . However, the Viator tour guide was disappointing. Not enthusiastic at all . It was an hour drive going to the park and I guess since it’s early in morning , the guide was not as excited as me.
A most rewarding trip. Very dramatic. Very busy so a bit slow, but that shows its popularity. Guide provided good information all the way round. Bus trip from malaga worked well for us as our hotel was only 10 min walk from pick up point. But that was fortuitous. So check as the agents use different pick up points.
