Hotel Torremar

Mixed stay – great beach location, but falls short of a true 4-star experience We stayed for one night in an interior room at Hotel Torremar in Torre del Mar. While the hotel likely ticks all the official boxes for a 4-star rating on paper—featuring a nice, modern reception area and standard facilities—our actual experience left us with mixed feelings, and we were ultimately glad to leave. The Positives: * Location: Truly excellent, especially if you are looking for a beach vacation as you are right by the coast. * Overall Presentation: The reception area is very modern, and the bedroom looked good at first glance. The Negatives: * Room Quality & Bedding: The interior room felt quite basic. The bed setup consisted of two single beds pushed together; we were never asked during booking or check-in whether we preferred two single beds or a double bed (or if that choice was even available). * Noise & Comfort: Sound insulation was poor—we could hear other guests moving around early in the morning, making it very noisy. We also noticed a strong, unpleasant kitchen smell drifting in during the morning, and the air conditioning unit was quite loud. * Room Amenities & Maintenance: The television was small and not wall-mounted, and the room was provided with plastic coffee cups rather than proper porcelain. We also spotted a little bit of mould on the ceiling, and the bathroom felt outdated. * Parking Warning: If you drive a long and/or low car, do not even attempt to use the hotel parking. The ramp is very steep, and we had to maneuver carefully just to drive down. Parking costs €15 per night, and you are strictly required to vacate your parking space by 12:00 PM at check-out time, meaning you cannot leave your car behind to enjoy any extra time exploring the area. * Service: I wasn't super impressed by the personnel at check-out. Would I go back? Most probably not. While the location is hard to beat, the room comfort, noise levels, and parking restrictions mean we would likely look elsewhere next time.

Perfect central location to beach, bars, restaurants, literally on the doorstep. Clean and efficient. Underground parking secure.

Nice hotel, very good bang for buck. The staff is very nice, flexible and helpful. Super close to the beach and clean rooms with good beds.

Booked a wheelchair room. NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. Rooms no bigger than a cupboard, shower had three inch step no room in bathroom for wheelchair!! Disgusting for a FOUR STAR hotel. Whoever said the rooms were wheelchair accessible needs to test it for themselves!!! Not happy. See picture for wheelchair accessible shower??!!!
