Hotel Alhaurin Golf & Resort

The hotel is basic, but comfortable. The service unfortunately was terrible and some staff were rude. The hotel is not 4 star standard.

Rooms are worn out, renovation required. Roomchange required and accepted, as air condition defect. New room was better. Personal mixed, some very friendly, all serviceoriented. Restaurant is very good, with friendly personal. Includes breakfast. The title "Golf Ressort" raises higher expectations.

Had a couple of nights booked in this hotel because of unforeseen circumstances. The price was reasonable. But the four star rating on the outside was questionable. The staff are super friendly. And accommodating. But the rooms are lacking facilities such as a kettle or a fridge, there is a coffee machine but they want you to pay €10 for the coffee pods. It’s pretty much just a bed in a room. No desk to work from if you’re here on business. Pool area is nice. We did not try the restaurant in our time there and did not have breakfast included. If it’s golf and a bed, you’re looking for then I recommend this hotel, but you will need a car.

We really like staying at The Golf. Generally it's relaxing and of a high standard and is ideally located for an annual event that we attend. The pool and surrounding gardens and bar/terrace are lovely... A large wedding party took the pool and surrounds over for a few days this year which was a bit of a shame but didn't spoil our break too much. We'll still probably return next year. The food and breakfast/coffee could definitely be improved on though - see separate comments on food & drink.
