Aparthotel Spa Del Palacete, Historic Center

Absolutely wonderful stay – highly recommended. We travelled as a family of three and had a fantastic stay at Apart-Hotel Spa Hotel del Palacete. From the very beginning, everything was incredibly easy and well organised. The online check-in was particularly convenient — there was no paperwork to deal with, and on arrival we simply had to show our IDs. The staff were lovely ladies: always smiling, welcoming and happy to help. They gave us lots of useful information and great suggestions, and they were incredibly easy to contact via WhatsApp whenever we needed anything. Our apartment was stunning. It was modern, beautifully furnished and had absolutely everything we could possibly need, including a microwave, washing machine and even cleaning products. It genuinely felt like a home away from home rather than just a hotel room. We also really appreciated the thoughtful welcome touches. There was water, beer (including alcohol-free beer), juice and a lovely selection of snacks waiting for us in the room. The bathroom was spotless, and a special mention for the towels — finally, towels that are actually large enough! The location was perfect too. The hotel is tucked away on a lovely, quiet alley, so it was very peaceful, yet we were less than 10 minutes' walk from the Cathedral. It was the perfect combination of quiet and central. Everything was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully arranged, and the staff really made the experience even better.

Good location at the edge of the old city not far from the large underground parking lot, short walk to the castle, palace and museums. 20-25 min walk to the beach. We've tried two rooms in this hotel. The first one was a studio with a terrace. Very small studio with no place to open the luggage. A huge terrace made up for the small room size and was wonderful for having a few drinks outside in the evening. We had a problem with AC in that studio and management moved us to another room which was a one-bedroom apartment. This one was huge in comparison and felt like home away from home. If we stay in this hotel again for more than a couple of days, we would go with that larger apartment if available. Both rooms were clean and kitchen well equipped. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Finding the hotel can be tricky, and parking nearby is very limited. It’s best not to plan on parking right next to the property, as you’ll likely need to use public parking and walk through narrow alleys to reach the hotel. Using GPS is highly recommended to help navigate the area. It was a cool experience to navigate through the small yet lively alleys. That said, the rooms themselves are very nice and well worth it. The accommodations include small kitchenette areas with many amenities (free water, coffee, snacks, juice, and beer in the room), cozy sofa, and comfortable bedding, making it a great place to relax once you arrive. The free treats were a nice touch. We were never able to get the air-conditioning to work, so it was a little bit warmer than we liked. We did end up opening the windows to let in some air, but would have loved to have the AC.

Only stay here if you are deaf. We stayed in the 2 bedroom downstairs apartment. We could hear EVERYTHING: from reception staff first thing in the morning to every guest coming in and out the front door of the hotel. There was no view in the apartment so felt very claustrophobic. Genuinely wished we had booked the ibis a stones throw away! We were hoping to take our daughter into the spa but it is €24pp!!!! Ouch. We found the beds comfy and sheets soft, and little kitchen/living area well equipped. The whiff of drains didn’t bother us. We just put the plugs in the sink and a wet towel over the drain in the shower.
