We were only planning to be in the park for the morning so this was perfect for us. The audio synced perfectly as we drove the loop and gave us the info we were looking for. We knew when/where to pull over or park to see the sights.

Didn't follow our route. Pretty much useless. Others are much better
This audio tour really helps you learn behind the scenes information as you drive around the park. You can easily pause at any stop while you get out and take pictures. Pay special attention to directions. There are long periods of silence or light bird noises when between stops.
Tried to use while in the park couldn't get it to start from where we were. It wanted to start at the Village Green but we had already been there the previous day.
It was nice to listen to the info and get heads up when you were coming up to next stop. Enjoyed the dig deeper info too.
Can't find where to meet, can't find where to drive, can't find some app.we're supposed to download. I want a refund.
They should be prepared to hike if you want to get the most out of the tour. However, our guide, Greg, was good. His voice and recommendations made the tour enjoyable. I do wish we had allotted more time there - such a beautiful park.
If you are going into an area with spotty internet don't bother getting this
The tour says “walking” not driving. We had trouble because we thought it could automatically read our location, but that didn’t really work. Glad to have it but it didn’t sync with our driving
Great information and easy to follow. Enjoyed learning more about the history of Arcadia.
The self guided tour did not work after following all the steps. Going to the check in station was a waste of time.
Very informative. Great tips on where to stop to see the most interesting or beautiful sights. Would have missed the popovers at Jordan Pond house without the app! GPS worked great even when we had to head up to Cadillac Mountain at our permit time. Great value in our opinion!
The narrator was very informative about the park, and gave good hints along the way. The bird sounds when he wasn’t talking were a nice touch. We did have some connectivity problems in the park, and couldn’t always access the narrative. Well worth the $9.95.
Is a great audio tour with options of where to stop. The real problem is extremely crowded and absolutely no place to park we were unable to finish the tour.
We were totally enjoying this tour until the network connectivity was lost and we couldn't hear it any longer. We only got about half the information.
When you’re ready to drive from the Visitor Center Parking lot, you’ll punch in your code to start the audio tour. Since we needed to add Viator and WalknTours, it took us some searching to find the code. We called the phone number, were given the code and away we went!
Excellent narration giving very interesting information on Acadia National Park. The GPS worked well but did drop out once however we were able to restart when the signal returned
It drains your phone so I had to stop listening. I was really enjoying it up until then. Very informative
Make sure you have access to program. Not easy to get access to change date. Date schedule had heavy rain and not suitable for the tour.
For some reason it didn't keep track of where we were. It may have been due to user error, but I followed all the instructions given. I was disappointed.
Greg's voice was great, important for an audio tour. Items were interesting and timing was on almost the whole trip. Bird sounds let you know it was not cut off.
This was perfect for me traveling solo with my dog and older cat. It helped me anticipate what was coming up on the one way Park Loop road. I was able to find cool shady parking and take short 5 min jaunts from the car to beautiful places. I appreciated the privacy of my own car and being able to start/stop the recording.
Great app to get us through our first trip to Acadia! It was very busy yesterday so folks should arrive early. We took it slow and downloading the app was perfect!
Very informative & helpful. Be certain to download BEFORE entering the park. There is poor cell service in the park & will be impossible to download.
App was not user friendly. Never did find how to view the tour map. Some audio spots were after we had passed the spot. However, the scenery was beautiful and the tree colors were nearly at peak.
A great way to get the lay of the land. We’ll go back later in the week to stop at places we drove by the first time. Self-paced trip, well worth it!
The app worked flawlessly and helped make our day in Arcadia Park a memorable day. It leaves it up to you to visit a stop or go on to the next stop on the tour. The narration was informative and add some history when possible. It kept us informed when a stop was coming up which included info on parking.
Loved the part of the tour we were able to access. Once we got the hang of following the directions, they were pretty easy and the narration was interesting. Unfortunately we lost connection partway through the tour and we weren’t able to get it back. We’d be willing to give this kind of audio tour another try, though.
This self guided tour worked well. It took a bit to get it set up and loaded, but we were able to follow it through the park, even when we lost cell service for a moment we were able to fast forward to our location and continue. It really added to our rainy day adventure.
First, I could not load the tour inside the park. When I went outside, it loaded right up. Very good speaking voice and content. I stopped many times and the tour continued. Parking was a major problem and some hikes were on rugged ground. Being on your own has to be better than subject to the Explorer schedule or a tour bus like Oly's. Very good purchase.
Downloaded as suggested Worked fine until we paused it to visit one of the stops. Got it started again and made almost halfway through and then it quit working once more. Got frustrated and did not use it for the rest of the visit
This self-guided driving tour was absolutely perfect for my teenaged daughter and I! It allowed for total flexibility as well as for useful recommendations as to what to prioritize if you only have one day in Acadia. I have already recommended this to friends!
I’m sorry to say we were unable to get our guide to connect/load. It stopped working after the first destination. May have been partially operator failure but it was a waste of money. We did receive a text to download another app but were suspicious of it.
Visiting Maine with not much knowledge of Acadia National Park. This tour was extremely helpful, informative and interesting .
After I finally figured out that we didn’t turn left in the “one way” park loop road, we were right in track. This app follows you via gps and gives you a minute to minute play on the history of the park as well as each great location. I definitely recommend 100%! It was an amazing journey!! And Greg was so helpful through texting….nice, informative and responded on a timely basis
