Learned a lot about Spanish modern Art in a short 1.5 hour visit. Maria is quite knowledgeable about the topic and clearly able to provide a great overview of the key exhibits from Dali, Picasso and others

Our guide Beatriz was very knowledgeable but she dwelt a bit too much on her ipad photos as though we were school children. I (and also our fellow person on the tour) were interested primarily in Guernica. I did not want to hear about it piecemeal and her explanations of each section. I wanted to just see it an immerse myself in this work of art I had only seen in photos. After that happened, THEN tell me background and show me photos (I have already seen) and then we go back and see it again. The initial viewing is meant to evoke emotion and deep comprehension. The small leading up to it explanation was just annoying. I realize we all experience art in our own way. I walked away and let this powerful masterpiece explode around me. That is the way to experience it for the first time.
Enjoyed my tour with Belén of the Reina Sofia Museum. She has a good knowledge of art and is a friendly person.
It is so amazing to have a guide explain the hidden meanings and context with these weird paintings. We spent time understanding the context of the beginning of modern art, the industrial revolution, new technologies, the politics, and the wars. All of this is necessary to understand the various movements of modern art, so that the works of arts make sense. I highly recommend Stefania.
María, our guide, was impressively knowledgeable. We scheduled a two hour tour to see the most important pieces in the museum as a first time visit. She managed time perfectly without feeling rushed or skipping any paintings, or all of our questions, which she happily and patiently answered. It was PERFECT.
We had such an enjoyable experience with Stefi! She was so passionate and knowledgeable. Really recommend this tour!
Fernando was excellent! He was so well informed, and so thoughtful in leading us through the museum to see the best. We learned so much, and he was funny and kind and we’d love to tour another museum with him next time we are in Madrid.
We did the tour yesterday (oct,11th). I guess Queen Sofía Museum is eclipsed by the Prado, but it's such a great collection based on the first decades of the 20th Century. About the tour, it was accurate, fun and educative (we learned a lot!)
My husband likes art so I made him a present. The guide spoke for both of us, so I also enjoyed the visit, even if at the beginning I found Dali (now he's unforgettable) a strange man.
We really appreciate the respect that our guide showed for "not that young people", as I like to say. He spoke about the paintings with the enthusiasm and passion of a good teacher, we have a very nice time. Highly recommended.
I would strongly recommend this option, specially if you are not really into arts, but would like to know more. You've got the guide just for you and can make every question that comes to your mind. I'm happy we chose this way, otherwise, we wouldn't enjoy so much, and if you compare prices, it's not much! (And the guide was the nicest ever)
I enjoyed the tour, the museum guide showed us the place and it seems he enjoy and love his job. El Guernica, Amazing!!!
We really enjoyed this tour. The tour guide was amazing. You could tell he knew was he was talking about and that he is passionate about art, making the tour a really enjoyable experience for us. His English was excellent. I highly recommend this tour! Thank you Fernando!
Since contacting us a day earlier and being super punctual, things we thank a lot, gave us a lecture on all the stories of the paintings, we learned a lot and spent a very educational and interesting afternoon with Fernando, highly recommended!!
The visit was formidablr. Fernando is a guide who has a perfect knowledge of works, painters and creative contexts. His visit is perfectly constructed and allows you to really see and appreciate the works to leave rich of explanations. Not to be missed!!!
Olaya nos hizo la visita mucho más amena, ya que el luego es muy grande y ella nos condujo a la parte más interesante describiendo lo que veíamos con una gran profesionalidad y detalle, muy buena experiencia
I had visited the Reina Sofia Museum before but never enjoyed it as much as when we hired this tour. It is wonderful to hear Fernando, who listens to you and adapts his knowledge to your tastes or interests. I loved discovering all the history behind this museum and its artists. I would definitely repeat and I am looking forward to try the other tours they offer. I'll be back!
Interesting and entertaining. We've spent our time flying. I was with my 12-year-old daughter and she loved it.
Fantastic was the attention / of Fernando, our guide / who otherwise knew / interesting information. / We didn't lose focus/ in 90 minutes of travel,/ which music in the ears,/ told us about Picasso,/ Warhol, Dali, and by case,/ stories of lost art./ Thanks for the tour, very interesting and 100% recommended! In Queen Sofia we meet / he, me and my provincial friends
Thanks to this tour we have had the opportunity to learn more about this wonderful museum and to delve into the Mood and history of it. Thanks to Fernando for this unforgettable experience. We'll repeat.
I am passionate about modern art and a Tour with this company is wonderful. Fernando was an excellent guide, attentive, polite, fun and with a wide knowledge of the subject. I asked you to please dwell in more detail on surrealism and it unraveled into explanations in full detail about the works shown. Understand and explain perfectly what the author intended to convey. If I go back to Madrid I have no hesitation in rehiring another Tour with this company.
It has been a very pleasant visit with a technical language according to the level of the attendees, making us understand and participate in the explanations both when approaching the work from the iconographic point of view and in its iconological visualization. He has empathized with the needs of each of the visitors looking for the most appropriate explanations. Just say thank you and the interest shown that we enjoyed.
We really wanted to make this visit and had an amazing day. We really enjoyed the museum and in a good part, it was thanks to our guide, Fernando. We were very lucky with him, as his explanations progressed, his words gave away his good preparation and above all his passion for art. Thank you so much!
Our guide Fernando is a prepared guide, patient with the questions and very enthusiastic in his work. He is close and able to convey his passion for art. The visit was enjoyable and very educational, making a review of the masterpieces of the permanent collection (Dalí, Miró, Picasso...). Fernando was mixing more general data with technical information, so those who knew less about the group’s art were not bored and also kept the rest’s attention. We'll repeat for sure.
I booked the tour in English because finding a private tour in Portuguese is much more expensive. At first we walked with a little fear because we didn’t know what the English speaker would be, because he had a strong Spanish accent. But it really was a great English, although Spanish is almost perfectly understandable. The little-known room of modernism is a beauty and the tour was absolutely unforgettable. Fernando, our guide, is very friendly and explains everything very well. My nephews loved the visit! Spectacular!
I wanted to know more about Picasso and his artistic work and I have to say it was a great experience!! I also found it exciting that the guide was only recently in the Albertina in Vienna and was able to make great covers... Excellent!!
We wanted to do a more specific Art History family tour and not a “massive” tour of those usually seen, and we found this possibility, and the truth is that it is not charming. Curiosities and a very entertaining tour. The phenomenal guide teaches, entertains and is also relaxed. When I return to Madrid I will definitely contact them for other tours
