Diego was an amazing guide for our visit to the windmills of Consuegra and the beautiful city of Toledo. He shared fascinating stories, answered all our questions, and helped us appreciate the history and culture of both places. He was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and wonderful company throughout the day. Seeing Don Quixote’s windmills and exploring Toledo was a truly special experience, and Diego made the day even more memorable. We highly recommend him and this tour!
This tour was amazing. In particular, our guide Miguel was simply the best! He was very knowledgeable about all of the spots we visited, made ample time for both English and spanish speaking guests, answered questions, gave great recommendations, and took lots of great photos of us (he knew a lot of good spots). Would easily recommend this tour for those who are interested.
Miguel, our tour guide, was amazing. Toledo was interesting, but the windmills of Consuegra were the highlight for us.
This tour was a neat way to spend a day outside of Madrid. Aside from the windmills' incredible views and Don Quixote connection was beautiful Toledo: from Mirador del Valle - a lookout over the entire city nestled in the hills with the river below - to unstructured time at the historic synagogue and monastery. Our guide, Miguel Ángel, was also not only super knowledgeable about Quixote lore, but warm and accommodating. He took our group's photos, ate with us in a local town before heading up to the windmills, and before the tour even took place, offered to reschedule when it seemed it wouldn't fill up in time. Don't miss out on this tour's cool blend of history and beauty!
This was an amazing and educational experience. Our driver, Alex, had a ton of knowledge about the mills of Quixote; the countryside around, and the city of Toledo. Having several hours to wander the city on our own, after a great set of stops, is my ideal way to do a tour like this. I would absolutely book this or any of Alex’s other tours in a heartbeat.
It was a great experience. Miguel, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and was always attentive. He gave us enough time to take pictures. I like it also because it was small group of travelers. Enjoy the day.Thank you
Miguel Angel led, the best tour experience I have ever been part. Every detail was carefully taken care of from transportation, communication control, and cleanness. We were his top priority his management of time allowed us to visit every part of the tour ask questions take pictures and learn from the history of Spain.. I highly recommend this to experience and I can’t wait to book my next one. Through his active communications, he gave us tips places to see and follow us to make sure that we could be taken care of and answer any of our questions.. Miguel Angel is the best tour guide in Spain.
This was such a memorable day! We started in Consuegra and toured La Mancha’s Windmills. The stories were fascinating and the views beautiful. We then went on to Toledo to discover these treasures sites and vistas. Miguel, our guide was wonderfully knowledgeable, patient and great with photos. So very glad we booked this tour!
Great tour. Small group of 7 in a new van that had air conditioning and USBC plugs. The agency sent an itinerary the night before with clear meetup instructions. Miguel was a good guide who made extra effort to get good pictures we otherwise would not had taken. I’d prefer less time at the cafe before the windmills so we could have more time in Toledo but it was a nice day. He gave lots of information about the windmills. We got back to Madrid by 6:50pm and had an hour to get free entry into the Prado
very good experience small group and knowledgeable guide miguel was very knowledgeable and informative
Our guide Miguel Angel was the best! Very informative and knowledgeable and gave us enough time to explore and enjoy around. The small group setting was amazing and the lunch option at Toledo, with the wine and ibérico tasting was to die for. Miguel is also a great photographer. Highly recommended!!
Our tour guide Miguel was very nice and helpful . Did’t feel rushed and he even took time with everyone in the group to help take photos. He was very knowledgeable and helpful insight in places to eat and see. Prepare to walk in Toledo very hilly, but it’s a must see place if you’re in Madrid.
Great experience! We joined a small group. Our guide Miguel was very pleasant and informative. The time spent on both the windmills and Toledo were plenty to enjoy both. I would definitely recommend this tour.
I had a great day out a visit to the windmills which was on my bucket list. Alex the guide was very helpful as I don’t speak Spanish and he didn’t speak English. However he used an audio translator to communicate with me. He took the time to have several one in one conversations with me to explain about the history of the windmills. Unfortunately the guide for tour of the Castle/Palace also only spoke Spanish and I did not understand a word said on this part of the tour which was a bit disappointing.
We really enjoyed our day exploring the windmills of Consuegra and afternoon in Toledo. Our driver, Miguel, took great care of us and made sure the experience did not feel rushed and that we were able to see all there was to see.
Our guide Alex was very friendly, and knowledgeable. He took the time to tell us about the history of all the places we visited. Tour was excellent.
Seeing the Windmills of Don Quixote and the historic city of Toledo is a must if you are in Madrid. The experience is magical. Be prepared for some walking and hilly conditions. Our guide adjusted for my husband's slower pace and made sure he was able to have almost the full experience. We were very grateful. But to cover the many nooks & crannies, tucked away in the narrow streets of Toledo, be prepared to walk up and down. We are so glad we signed up for this trip.
Long time on coach, 3 hours out of 10 total, with little commentary on the way but overall worthwhile.
On time pick up, very informative and diligent with passengers. A1 experience 👌🏻 Brand new transportation vehicle !!!
Terrific trip with an awesome guide (Miguel). He was super informative, easy to chat with, and a great driver. We had plenty of time to explore. The lunch in Toledo was awesome! Highly recommend
This tour of the Don Quixote windmills of La Mancha and Toledo was an incredible experience from start to finish. Our guide, Miguel, was phenomenal—funny, courteous, and genuinely attentive throughout the entire day. The tour was a small group of five in a clean, modern minivan, which made the experience feel comfortable and personal. Miguel went above and beyond by taking dozens of photos for us on his own phone and sharing them via WhatsApp afterward—such a thoughtful touch. He consistently checked in with us during the tour to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves and never made us feel rushed. If you prefer a more intimate, relaxed experience rather than large, crowded tours, this is absolutely the way to go. Highly recommended.
Great experience visiting Consegrua & the Windmills. Our awesome tour guide, Diego was super knowledgeable of the area & it's history. He eloquently spoke of the windmills referenced in Cervantes', Don Quixote bringing the story to life and even more memorable.
Our tour was fantastic! Our driver and the tour company were very communicative, sending messages through WhatsApp ahead of time, so we knew what we needed to do when. Our driver/guide was very friendly and informative. We were in a clean, comfortable, nice vehicle in a group of only 8 (including the driver). We really enjoyed the itinerary of La Mancha and Toledo. I wouldn't have minded if the tour were a little longer with more free time in Toledo, but my kids were tired at the end, so it was actually perfect for families. We got to see the windmills of La Mancha and take photos with them. The driver took pictures of our family when we wanted. We got to go inside a couple of the windmills and learn how they work. The food included in the tour in Toledo was basically charcuterie with two drinks per person (including wine, water, or soft drinks). We enjoyed it, but if you or your family don't want a meal of (yummy) sliced meats, cheeses, and bread, you might want to skip that add-on. There are numerous other choices in Toledo if you prefer something else. We got ice cream after the meal in a local shop and that was perfect for us. After the time in Toledo, we stopped briefly at a mirador viewpoint where we could see the beautiful city and take photos. It was really a dream to visit such a lovely, historic city and see the views. Someday we definitely want to spend more time in Toledo especially, but this tour was a great introduction for us, as it was our first time in Spain. We felt very safe and comfortable, and we made memories for our family. Thank you!
I had an amazing time in this experience: I love don quijote hence this travel was the best. Our tour guide very knowledgeable, kind and friendly, every question I asked he knew it and even add more context to help me understand. I highly recommend to make this tour. It is a most
This was my favorite experience of the trip. Our tour guide Yesid was amazing; even those the tour was in Spanish he had an audio translator so that the English speaking people could have the same experience. He was so knowledge and very accommodating. Took pictures for us and even went to get the van so we didn’t have to walk back after climbing to Toledo and the last windmill. The views and tour guide were amazing and get 5 stars from me
Take a lot of pictures and ask alot of questions. Also make sure you have good walking shoes. Finally, utilize your free time wisely and take advantage of the provided map. Our tour guide. Yesid was fantastic
Miguel Angel Agiday was the best, very knowledgeable knew how to keep it fun and interactive as to not make it boring even tho i love DQ and Wsd the reason for going. Toledo was great and just an all around amazing experience.
Friends and I, 6 of us, just took the Windmills and Toledo tour. Miguel Angel was our tour guide and we had him all to ourselves! Miguel Angel was super: friendly, kind and very professional! Since our group was English and Spanish speaking, he was able to speak to us in both languages. He was knowledgeable on a variety of Miguel de Cervantes and Don Quixote history as well as recommend where to get delicious tapas. At every new point of our tour, Miguel Angel offered to take pictures of the different couples and knew the best angles. Not only did Miguel Angel give us a memorable tour but he gave us great pictures to commemorate our time in Spain! Gracias, Miguel Angel!
I really enjoyed the windmill tour. Diego, our guide, was excellent and very knowledgeable about their history. We were able to visit them inside and receive an explanation of how they worked. I recommend that if you visit them at this time of year, in November, you dress warmly.
I recommend it if you like small groups vs large bus tours. Yesid was very knowledgeable and made the trip a great experience
Thank you Miguel for a wonderful day. You were kind and gracious. The sights were fantastic. The food was yummy and the company was fun. I thought I knew the story of Don Quixote but you taught me even more. And the pictures you took of my husband and myself are treasured. The one and only feature that I would like to suggest… the meeting place instructions could be clearer. The meeting place at the stock exchange is the drive thru area next to the naval museum and not across from it.
So rich in history. The best about this tour is the engagement between guide and participants. Miguel was amazing and we couldn't spend a better time during our visit to Madrid. He went all in, taking his time explaining and teaching about it. Didn't hold himself to the timeframe making sure we all could take pictures and to enjoy the moment. Gave us great recommendations while at Toledo and make sure we all could enjoy the trip. Fantastic job by him. Will definitely ask for him when booking this trip.
We were a late booking due to another tour operator cancelling and were impressed by the quick confirmation and follow up information. We were the only English speakers in the small group but Miguel ensured there were English translations- he was super helpful and helped get some great photos. The information provided at the windmills and about Don Quixote was great. We did have a very chatty front seat passenger who monopolised the driver/guides time and we would have liked a bit more information about Toledo as we drove there - but Miguel did his best! Toledo was free time (and a delicious lunch (recommended!) and we visited the Cathedral having read that there was some impressive artworks by El Greco and had time for a quick look at those. It was a well paced day and very comfortable tour and good driving by Miguel. Recommended!!
This was a small tour group to the windmills and Toledo. The guides were welcoming and professional. The best part was the windmills. Our tour guide Miguel shared interesting details about the history of the mills and how they played a part in the wonderful stories of La Mancha. We got to experience them up close as well as enjoy the great views. Toledo was less structured and it was super crowded on the day we went, so not as enjoyable.
Very disappointing. The guides spoke very little English. Our driver spoke through a translator but it was annoying at times. Our guides were good drivers but not good guides. We thought we would have an option to pay for the Iberia ham lunch but this was not offered. In Toledo we expected the guides to point out a few things we should see but they just told us to spend 3 hours wandering around on our own. We would not recommend this tour if you are expecting guides who speak English.
Great tour I lived there explanationsof the different windmills and some e wrote from Don Quijote and Manual de Cervantes Also our guide Miguel Angel was super nice and accommodated all our requests like picture taking etc
A must see!! It was a wonderful experience!!! Our tour guide and operator was very helpful. He has both Spanish and English language tours. We had fun in La Mancha and Oh boy, Toledo was magnificent. The Cathedral of Toledo, St Mary’s was so big and you need to see all the historical and ancient works of art. These places definitely offers different aspects of their culture that is different from other European cultures like France or G.B. Our lunch was from a fine tapas restaurant. We indeed enjoyed the food and the tour. Definitely recommend this tour to everyone!!!
Really interesting explanation of how the windmills are named after characters or stories from Don Q... Toledo is also a fantastic old town to wander around after a very good lunch...
The tour was a great experience. Very beautiful and informative. Left me wanting more. Our guide was the best.
Miguel our driver/tour guide was very friendly and professional. An excellent driver and very attentative to our needs.
It is absolutely fantastic. Great excursion, lots of history. Definitely will recommend. Fantastic guide.
The visit to Consuegra and the windmills was amazing. We then stopped in Toledo where we were treated for a fabulous lunch and we visited its cathedral. On the way back we had two scenic stops for picture taking.
We were a small group so we enjoyed all the experience. We took the trip in summer, the weather was too hot and must of store in Consuegra was closed. The time to enjoy Toledo was enough to walk around the streets, know the caves, and taste food originating from there. If you want to enjoy all the shops that are open, don't travel in the summer; choose another date. If you can stand the heat and like to enjoy things without so many people, travel in the summer. The guides are knowledgeable and tell you a lot about the windmills and the city of Toledo. The visit seems short because you really enjoy the moment, but I highly recommend it.
Amazing trip :) It was very well planned and organized. Our guide Yesid was taking care of us all the time. We enjoyed the day very much. The places that we visited were georgeous and the lunch was fantastic.
Our guide Jesid was excellent, informative and helpful throughout the tour. It was a unique, fun and interesting tour (if you are interested in Don Quixote) of Consuegra with self guided Toledo. Hard to find both these places in a single day trip, highly recommend!
Great experience. Diego, our tour guide, was very helpful and knowledgeable of all the details of the tour. Even with the excessive heat, he was able to provide a great service to all in the tour. I will use this company again in the future.
Our tour guide was JC and he was just incredible and so helpful. We felt like we were in a very private, luxury tour.
Jesse was our tour guide. He’s awesome! We took so many photos and learned a ton. Beautiful memories of an amazing time together as a family!
Our guide and chofer were amazing the way they told the story of all the places were entertaining, never boring or repetitive, very attentive of all our questions or needs we enjoyed a lot our tour to Consuegras and Toledo, and highly recommend Maria Luisa from Viator and Alex from Agiday Travel this combination is excellent she took very good care of us making sure we had all the info needed step by step , also the tasting was very nice! book with them you will never regret it! Thank you so much guys , we loved it!!!! Carmela & Yessica
