This was an excellent tour. Giuseppe is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The tour itself is very good and a good range of things to do and see. The choice of lunch venues is perfect, very authentic and delicious food. And the 5th generation winery was interesting as well as offering some very enjoyable wines. Highly recommend this tour.

Raul was the best tour guide! Such an amazing time and learned a lot. The food and the winery were top notch. The day was truly a vacation in itself.
This tour was be of the best we’ve done!. Raul offered special touches throughout the tour including a coffee break at a spectacular overlook of Toledo. The wine and cheese tastings and farm house lunch were exceptional! We would highly recommended this tour with Raul!
Yanny was great! He was extremely warm and welcoming. His knowledge of history is unmatched and it made the city come alive as he was telling us the origins of Toledo. We got to meet some awesome craftsman and see some unique parts of Toledo. Wine was good too! Had the only Rose made with Tempranillo which was fantastic. Restaurant was great and really fed my soul with the comforting homestyle food we received. Overall, recommend trying it out if it’s in your budget!
Our family had a wonderful time with Raul! The tour of Toledo was incredible. Lunch was delicious and the Windmills in La Mancha were beautiful with spectacular views! Raul made the entire experience enjoyable and loads of fun!
My partner and I have done several tours in various countries and this is certainly one of the best, if not THE best tour ever. Not only did we visit the sights of Toledo, Windmills, and winery, but Raul's knowledge and passion for the history and culture created a fun learning adventure not to be missed. Raul's passion for the local culture and history did not disappoint as we were introduced to local artisans, a unique artisanal winery, and an extraordinary spanish lunch prepared by locals. This is truly an amazing tour and would 100% recommend. I would do this again and again!! Thank you!!!
My partner and I loved this tour with Raul. Easily one of the best tours I have ever taken, if not THE best. The combination of Windmills, Toledo and wine was a perfect balance. We had just enough time at each spot and the lunch is the best food I have had since arriving in Madrid. Simple, but delicious. While we chose the tour for the combination of sites, Raul made the trip more than just a tranport between destinations. He was personable, well educated on the destinations and tells the best stories. He brought life to each place we visited. Would 100% do this tour or any with Raul again!
Wow what an amazing and unforgettable day. We were so lucky to have Enrique as our tour guide for the day. We have done many tours and he was the absolute perfect guide. He shared so much valuable information with us into the history of the places we visited. He helped carry our bags for us and made sure to take advantage of the best photo opportunities. He was not overbearing and also gave us time to look around in shops. We never felt rushed. It was also great having him join us on our authentic lunch where he could share the history into the food we were eating. When we return we would 100% want to book with this company and request Enrique as our guide. Seeing so much in one day was such an adventure, these were memories that will last a lifetime!
Great tour with Johnny! Very knowledgeable & entertaining…good variety of interesting spots to visit.
Things that made this tour enjoyable: Yanny, our knowledge, entertaining guide. He answered questions on a wide range of topics from history to art, to intricacies of windmills and complexity of wines. We felt we were the guests of a well-connected local. He brought us not only to the most popular sights but to shops of local artisans where we have the no-pressure option of purchasing locally made pottery, jewelry and marzipan. A small group and a comfortable, dedicated vehicle such that we were able to leave our backpack and umbrella in the van when we didn’t need them.
Tanni was the best tour guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Do yourself a favor and book a tour with Yanni. Great guy.
We had an amazing day with Enrique! It was just us and one other couple. It felt more like a private tour, with such a small group. Enrique is extremely knowledgeable and provided so much information. We had the perfect day, from start to finish. I highly recommend this tour and Enrique. Toledo is so charming and full of history and he knows it all! Can’t recommend it enough. Thank you, Enrique!
This was an amazing day for someone looking to take a day trip from Madrid. Enrique our guide was amazing. We got to soend time in Toledo which is not to be missed. Went to the mirador, visited the Jewish quarter and a synagogue, toured the Cathedral and walked around Toledo. I did not feel rushed and thought it was a well rounded time spent in Toledo. We were there probably a little over 4 hours. We then went to see the windmills of La Mancha which was pretty cool. Went to a quaint restaurant to have an authentic regional lunch and went to a very small gamily owned winery for some wine tasting. It was a wonderful day with Enrique and I would highly recommend. This was exactly what we were looking for when I booked the tour.
Yanni was a great enthusiast tour guide who did everything he could to make this tour special and customized the information to suit the interests of the participants. The lunch was authentic and delicious!
This was a great full day trip that was a great balance between sightseeing, beautiful architecture and great food and wine. Yanny was a fabulous tour guide who was both knowledgeable and friendly.
We had an amazing tour with Enrique. We went to Toledo, La Mancha windmills, authentic lunch and family winery. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. We got to see so much and learned so much from Enrique! You can tell he loves what he does. If you have a chance to take this tour while in Madrid it we 100% recommend taking this tour! It is so much mire than just a day trip to Toledo!
First of all, our guide, Don Enrique, was fabulous. He studied in the USA, so his English was flawless. His knowledge of history and wines is incredible. The views were spectacular. He took us to some artisans whose work is passed through many generations. I definitely recommend this tour.
Our guide Enrique was very good having a small was personal and easy to move around with him as so many people. Took lots of photos for us and sent them onto us within a few days
Our guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The day was perfect! We didn’t have time to notice our jet lag because of all the information we learned, great food and excellent wine. A day we will never forget.
This was such fun!! Enrique was an amazing guide!! We learned so much about Toledo and it's history. The lunch was fantastic as well!! Delicious wine and fun people. Great day all around!
We had a great experience with our tour guide Enrique. He was both knowledgeable and professional. It was an added bonus that the tour included visits with the craftsmen who make the local pottery and jewelry. The food and wine were both excellent. This is a great way to get to know Toledo and see the windmills.
We had a lovely time from the minute our guide picked us up to the moment we ended the tour. Very personable and knowledgeable about the area. You can tell he thoroughly enjoys his job and introducing people to all the wonders of Toledo. Book this trip!
Great experience, just 4 people so dedicated attention. We loved the food and the restaurants. Excellent wines. Yanni our guide is the best, he made our day.
Yanny was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable friendly and intelligent. His personable nature resulted in a stress free tour. Highly recommended!!
Yanny made the whole experience special! He was very knowledgeable about the history and made it all fun! The authentic lunch at Alfar was delightful and especially the wine tour! Thank you so much for making this experience with my daughter special!!
This was such an amazing tour. First to see the beautiful city of Toledo, then see windmills and visit a winery. Yanny was an amazing guide and provided a lot of history to each stop. I’m so happy I did this tour.
Raúl was excellent, truly enjoyed the historical aspect of the trip. The winery was a wonderful experience and learned a great deal.
If I could give this tour 10 stars I would. We had an amazing time touring Toledo, ate delicious food with a purpose, did fascinating tours of the city, windmills and winery, and our guide Enrique was fun, helpful, informative and funny. We felt like we made a new friend! We stayed in Spain for two weeks and this was absolutely the highlight of our trip - and not just because we got to go without kids! The knowledge we came home with, the souvenirs, and the whole experience was truly unforgettable and I would HIGHLY recommend this tour especially if it’s your first time in Toledo. Thank you Enrique and we hope to see you again someday!
This was a wonderful tour. Enrique was very knowledgeable and is clearly passionate about his job. We got to see some sights most tourists probably won’t make it to. The view of Toldedo was stunning. The pottery shop was really cool. The place he took us for lunch was also really nice.
This was a very great and fun adventure! Saw the beautiful city of Toledo plus a very nice lunch at a restaurant that was an original pottery making site, and a unique visit to a winery. Enrique was a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who was very accommodating.
Raul was wonderful, very knowledgeable and informative. Visited sights that we would not have been able to see on our own. Very accommodating
Enrique Barbero was the best tour guide. He was polite, professional and enthusiastic. He knows the places to go & the best ways to get there. He really made this tour go to the next level. My wife and I really enjoyed the beautiful sites and learning so much about Spanish culture from Enrique. The small group was perfect size to enjoy this wonderful day in the La Mancha area of Spain! Highly recommend the tour and Enrique as your guide.
The walk through Toledo was interesting and the view at the Don Quixote Windmills was amazing. Enrique, our guide, explained the history of the sites including the wine making process during the wine tasting event.
Our tour guide Enrique was amazing and super accommodating. We had the opportunity to learn plenty of the wines created in the region and what makes them truly special. Enrique was very knowledgeable about the different wineries and gave great insight throughout the tour. Every single winery was truly unique and our group of 7 hand a fantastic time. Would definitely recommend.
If you are looking for a relaxing day trip from Madrid in a small group, with Toledo, wind mills, authentic Spanish lunch and wine tasting, stop looking, you wouldn’t find any tours better than this. After some extensive research, I selected this tour and it became one of the most memorable days of our Spain trip. The best part of the trip is our guide Enrique, who is genuine, caring, knowledgeable, speaks prefect English, and truly proud to be a Spaniard! Enrique took us to many amazing places but we never felt rushed or tired. He planned the trip so well that somehow we were always able to avoid tourist crowds and truly enjoy the magic of each place. The lunch, the wine tasting and even the cute shops we stopped by, are all special and full of culture roots. We really appreciate the connection we made with Enrique (a local expert in everything) and that he brought us a little closer to the true Spain!
Raul provided a combination of history , fun , food — willingness to share in the local experience . He has a quality comfortable van & is just TOP NOTCH . He knows the people and places he visits intimately and it was so excellent to meet his local “friends”. His tour is very malleable to each persons needs . We have been in Spain for 2 week / taken many tours and there is no way you can do better than this one . Pls reach out directly to him to discuss & book his tours .
This was an amazing tour. Our guide Enrique was very knowledgeable and friendly. The group was only 7 people which was perfect, we were able to move from place to place quickly and easily. Enrique had a lot of good facts to share with us about the history of each stop, and was also very knowledgeable about the wine making process. He had connections in Toledo with some of the shop owners so we got an inside look at things we wouldn’t have seen if we had gone to Toledo alone. I would 100% do this same tour again or another from this company. The lunch we had after the windmills was also one of the best meals we’ve had in Spain.
I’ll start from the top - Enrique was a wonderful guide from start to finish and his driving was excellent as well! We had nice conversation and a brief overview of the day before arriving in Toledo - an incredible city with so much history! He knew some of the townspeople and they knew him so we got an exclusive look into a few awesome shops (I won’t spoil the surprise). We next headed to the windmills which were beautiful and then the lunch provided was amazing! After refueling ourselves we headed to the winery which was so cool. Since it was a small group we got a detailed look into just how they make wine (from sparkling to rose) and then tasted some fine wine. It’s not the typical wine tour where they just booze you up and say thanks for coming - throughout the day I probably drank 4 or 5 glasses of wine (which is plenty). If you want to just drink wine and get drunk then I do not recommend but if you want a personal experience and a great day then this is 10/10!
Visiting the winery, seeing how the wines aged and then tasting a few good ones was nice. Getting a view of the town of Toledo from a nearby hill was also really cool. A lot of good historical context given while we travelled by cat between the places.
Enrique escorted us on a wonderful must do trip! Wine, Toledo, and windmills made a great experience.
They canceled night before whit any excuses and no timeline for buy another tour…and also they already charge and I didn’t recived my $ back.
Toledo is a breath taking city and the guide did a wonderful job of bringing it to life for us. The visit to La Mancha and the winery was magnificant. We learned a lot about the history of the area. The tasting in the winery and the lunch were very enjoyable. We would highly recommend this tour.
Raul made this the best day of our vacation. Knowledgeable, engaging, and wine connousiour! This experience felt more like a friend was bringing us to all the must sees and the local hidden gems! I would highly recommend booking this tour and if we are ever back in Spain we would definitely book other tours with Raul!!
The absolute best thing we did in Spain. Loved the tour. A great way to feel like a local for the day. Rau is so knowledgeable of the area and the locals know him, so you get treated special. It was a magical day and one I will always remember. Don’t hesitate to book. You will regret it if you don’t. The lunch we had was very authentic and the best meal we had in Europe. Trying to recreate the meal at home but could never compare. A rare treat !!!
Enrique was an incredible tour guide. So knowledgeable, able to handle some pretty rainy weather and some change in schedule due to Easter. It felt like we got a backstage VIP tour of the winery and all the stops along the way added to the trip. Phenomenal time.
I really enjoyed the day with Raul! First of all he is a good driver, second a knowledgeable tour guide, and third a gentleman! We went to Toledo to see the sights and walk the streets while he talked about the history of the town, its culture and all the specialities it has to offer. We went into a pottery shop and of course I liked the most expensive and rare blue and white bowl with a horse on it for 3000 Euro. We left with just a picture of the beautiful bowl! We went to La Mancha and saw the windmills, and had lunch. Went to another nearby town and toured a small batch family owned winery and had a wine tasting. It was a very exciting and informative tour and a vey good day! Thanks Raul!
We were attracted to this full-day tour by its variety and small size. It offered a fairly high-level visit of Toledo, a traditional lunch, and a visit to a typical Spanish winery - there were a couple of other interesting stops too. We were far from disappointed. It didn't take long for our wonderful guide Enrique, to feel like a longstanding friend of ours simply showing us around his new favourite local attractions. Toledo is stunning, and we had enough time to visit the old Synagogue and the huge Cathedral, and to wander the cobblestone streets. The traditional lunch was absolutely delicious, and the wine tour full of surprises which would be unfair to disclose here. All in all, it was a fabulous day. A huge thank you to Enrique, our new friend, for making it so!
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the Toledo, Don Quixote Windmills and Winery tour with our guide, Raul. It was our favorite day during our short 4-day trip to Madrid. Raul was professional, kind, and a joy to spend the day with. He is very knowledgeable about the sites, food and wine. The winery tour was unlike any other’s I’ve been on (my daughter’s first). The winery was open only for us as other public tours are held earlier in the day. It was a truly private tour and experience. We enjoyed the restaurant of choice and we were served our favorite meal of our trip! Muchas Gracias Raul!
I would give this tour more than 5 stars if it was possible. This was the best day I've had in Spain. Raul runs a fantastic trip. Our group was very small (5 travelers in total) so you get to know the other travelers as well as Raul. Even though it is a day trip, nothing felt rushed. Toledo is beautiful and a local woman, Carmen, joined us to tell us about the history. In addition to the typical stops like the Synagogue and Cathedral, we also went to two shops, a pottery shop and a jewelry shop, where you learn about the local craftspeople. You aren't pressured to buy, but you get to see another side of the town and its people. After Toledo, you head to the windmills, which is a short stop but the perfect amount of time. Lunch was amazing! Raul, who has a background in hospitality, selects the meal to give you an authentic experience. Everything was so delicious. Finally, you stop at the winery, which is also a fun experience. I highly recommend this trip. If I return to Spain, I will do this trip again...and I would try to book my other tours through Raul, or with his recommendations. He is a top notch guide. Don't hesitate to book with him. You won't regret it.
We really enjoyed our day tour from Madrid. Raul has a passion for the area, and was so knowledgeable. I have slight mobility issues (broke my ankle in September 2023 and still hasn’t healed completely). Our tour had three other people, so perfect for a smaller, intimate group. Our highlights included visiting the windmills, the lunch, visiting Toledo and the wine tasting. We really enjoyed our time with Raul and the rest of the group. Totally worth the $$.
