Our group was too large and we were only given 20 minutes of Free Time so not at all as advertised. Guide was good but due to being both Spanish and English we didn’t feel like we got a lot of info about the area. I feel maybe with a smaller group it might be better.

Alexandra was very good and switching her languages back-and-forth. Which is very important because I only speak English The tour was great Thank you
We took the half day morning tour to Toledo. As I am trying to learn Spanish, I appreciated that the tour guide spoke both in Spanish and then in English. Enjoyed seeing the three cultures of Toledo.
Our tour guide was Alexandra. Even though we did a self guided tour option, she was phenomenal. Always smiling, and there to help and answers any questions. I highly recommend her for any tours you plan to have with this amazing tour guide and the company.
Wonderful experience with alexandra.
Toledo seems like a good town. Would have been faster to be in an English-speaking group. There was some miscommunication between the guide and the coach driver because we had a long wait for the coach at the end of the tour. The guide herself seemed fine, I just think the tour should be re-worked.
Aside from a snarky remark from the designated tour guide at the pickup point, she was knowledgeable and shared lots of information about all the sites and locations we visited on this trip to Toledo, Spain. We chose the meal option and the food was good and we enjoyed the experience.
Very well organised full day tour of Toledo with 2 coffee stops and a tapas lunch. Clara is a knowledgeable guide and moved smoothly between English and Spanish. We saw some great views of Toledo from the bus and had an amazing walking tour with Clara providing lots of information about the history and buildings of Toledo.
Thorough full day tour of Toledo highlights with some free time. Clara provided many insights in Spanish and English and managed the tour well. Most enjoyed the El Greco paintings in chapel and cathedral and the architecture in the synagogue.
Clara was great! Good pace with good free time.
Great tour of Toledo. Even after a full day felt like there is more to see! Our guide Alexandra did a great job of keeping things moving and did a great job with her explanations.
Had an amazing time with Julia Travel Very punctual, engaging, and attentive to everyone in the group. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting.
This trip is rated easy but it has lots of hills some are steep. Weather was not favorable, we made the best of it. History is quite impressive. Enjoyed it very much . My 89 year old mom kept up pretty good.
Interesting tour of a mediaeval town located on a hilltop with Islamic Jewish and Christian influences. Old synagogue has interesting Moorish architecture combined with Christian sectors. Lot of churches. Roman ruins were indicated as we drove out of town and would have been of great interest if we could have stopped.
The tour was good the guide Alexandra was nice and tried her best speaking English and was informative
Great tour with Alexandra - thanks
The tour was a lot of walking up and down hills and stairs, but was very enjoyable. One warning: this is not for people who have a difficult time walking! Toledo is very picturesque and historical. Definitely worth a visit!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job of keeping both the Spanish and English speaking participants engaged.
Alexandra was very good. Informative and helpful to people
Quite a bit of uphill walking especially near the end of the tour, but worth the price. Stunning scenery.
Well organized and informative tour! Clara was our guide and she gave a nice mix of information at a good pace. We did the guided 1/2 day tour to Toledo. A few in the group ride out opted to explore on their own and she just told them where to meet the bus back. During our tour she explained everything clearly and I felt we were able to see a lot while still allowing some free time to pop into shops or grab a coffee. Would recommend!
We had a wonderful time on our full-day tour to Toledo. The guide was very knowledgeable and transitioned seamlessly between Spanish and English. It was a good balance between hitting the city highlights and having some free time to explore on our own. Highly recommended!
Weather was not cooperating until the end. Lots of walking. Would’ve loved recommendations for meals as some places weren’t open for lunch. I have other opinions I’ll keep to myself for now.
Amazing tour! A must see in Spain. we loved our tour guide Christina . she was very knowledgeable, Pleasant, attentive, and very personable.
Toledo is great but most of the tour is spent on the bus. Booked half day on my own but rode the bus with the guided tour group. Spent more time on the bus than I did in Toledo. Took the scenic route on the way in to see a nice overlook of the city but it added 45 minutes to the drive. By the time I got off the bus I only had 2 hours to explore the city. Next time I would just take the train, unfortunately it was sold out this time.
Our whole day tour to Toledo was lead by a lovely guide Alexandra who did a great job swapping between Spanish and English. Toledo is a pretty town with a lot of history , windy, narrow streets and a lot of hills. Alexandra conveyed this history well with some cliffhanger humour thrown in. For us the only downside was the tapas lunch. Having been in Spain for a few weeks already we have had some amazing food. The venue had little atmosphere and the dishes were okay. They did try to include a variety of traditional dishes though. Thanks Alexandra ( and Javier our driver).
Our guide Alexandra was very helpful
The value of this tour depends so much on the size of the group and the tour guide. We, unfortunately, had a very poor guide, Roberto. He did not introduce himself, he did not speak during the bus ride to Toledo. It is usual for a guide to give some background during that time to save a little time during the tour and to set expectations and time frame. The only thing he said to us on the bus was to get off the bus when we made a stop on the way. The group size was too large for this kind of tour. It was about 36 people in group. Even though our tour ticket says the tour was in English, it was bilingual. About 2/3 time was in Spanish and 1/3 time in English. It took forever. We had very little time for lunch then free time, just over an hour. It is a shame that the tour was so tedious, because Toledo is amazing. I believe that Roberto had good info to share, but it got lost in the dual language situation. That is probably a guide's nightmare. The tour description SHOULD HAVE VERY CLEARLY stated in the description and on the ticket that the tour was in 2 languages. We have many choices of tours, so we count on clear and accurate descriptions. Did not happen here.
This what a great experience. Alejandra was excellent. I have a hearing issue and she made an extraordinary effort to accomodate me. She asked me to stay next to her so she could make sue I was hearing her. She was very attentive to the group and answered all the questions. The lunch far exceed my expectations. I would like to suggest that tour companies implement the use of Auracast to accommodate the growing group of seniors with hearing aids. https://www.bluetooth.com/auracast/ It was a challenge to find a breakfast place open that would allow us to eat and arrive on time for the tour. Tour documentation should talk us that we are not allowed to bring food on the bus. That surprised several people.
The tour was excellent and did not feel rushed. The tour guide was very knowledgeable on the subject
Wonderful tour through Toledo. Very informative guide
Our tour guide Daniella was very informative very knowledgeable. She provided a history of Toledo, the churches, and Cathedral we visited. The streets of Toledo are hilly, so be prepared by wearing the proper footwear. Important note, you should check in with your tour guide when you arrive at the office. Some tour guides leave the office, heading to the bus without announcing their departure and unfortunately some people were left behind. That did not happen with our tour guide. Daniella left the office, she announced her tour. She called out the names of the people scheduled for the tour to confirm all were present. Once complete, we followed her to the bus. Daniella did an awesome job
Great and very informative tour. Enjoyed walking around Toledo and learn the history of this beautiful town. Alexandra, our tour guide was excellent. She was so good about making sure that the English speaking visitors heard the same stories. Really liked that Alexandra was always looking out to make sure that all of her tour were accounted for.
Very interesting trip to Toledo with Julia Travel. Guide was very professional, provided a lot of information. Transportation was comfortable with air conditioning
Toledo is a fantastic city to visit, with plenty to see and experience. The walking tour of the old town takes about 3-4 hours and ends at the Cathedral, which has a history stretching back millenia. Our guide Jorge Torres was a great font of information and knowledge about what we were seeing, of which my personal favorite was the jewish synagogue established at the orders of a Christian monarch and built by muslim architects. It felt so emblematic of the city and its history. Transport to and from the city was easy and the general route of the tour seemed well planned and thought out.
Fabulous day! Great half day trip. Alexandria provided great information in English and Spanish. Beautiful town.
Very comfortable bus transportation. Easy experience. Knowlegable guide. Good price for this type of tour. The earpiece makes it easy to follow along without straining to hear the guide.
Our tour guide Clara was great. She knew so much history of Toledo. Toledo is a lovely old city & we both enjoyed our visit to the town.
Very knowledgeable tour. Nice tour to get out of Madrid.
Toledo was a wonderful city and beautiful sites. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very strong on in English and Spanish..he did not introduce himself and many times did not keep group together.
It did not meet the expectations for a full day tour: we were rushed in the cathedrl and we did not visit the Alcazar. We left at 8:45 and returned by 4;30 pm. And being the tour bilingual, you get half the information you could, as it need to be repeated on each language. The guide did not introduce himself, and did not made the tour interesting. You do not get the value you paid for. I strongly recommend Buendia much better (we had a terrific experience with them in Lisboa).
Toledo is wonderful - a delightful and fascinating blend of themes that seem consistent across much of Spain … layers of historical geography, religion, art, and culture. It was a pleasure to be there. Not so the experience we had with our guide or the people in the tour office where we met. The person who greeted us all first thing in the morning was officious and dictatorial, not to mention flustered. The guide … well here are some suggestions: 1. Try introducing yourself. 2. Get us to introduce ourselves a bit. 3. Tell us what the day’s plan is. It’s a day tour. We have a right to know. 4. Wait for everyone in the group at every point in the tour; you left people behind or struggling to catch up. 5. Ask people how they are doing. 6. Answer questions. 7. Give some sense that you actually want to be leading the tour. 8. Introduce and thank the bus driver. 9. Provide reasons for several inexplicable delays en route while you seemed distracted by your phone. 10. Provide lunch recommendations. 11. In short, try to be an approachable and professional person.
We signed up thru Viator and they pick which tour provider you get. We got Julia Tours. I would not recommend this tour company. The guides never spoke to anyone, I have no idea what our giude's name was, he never once looked back to make sure we were all together, he went way too fast, and he spoke in Spanish and then in English every time he spoke, and the Spanish was very long and the English very short. This was a terrible experience overall. You will get about 4 hours of Christian history and about 5 minutes, if that, about the Jewish Quarter. I have nothing positive to say about this tour company. Even the guy who checked us in when we got there is clearly an unhappy human. We had a tour earlier in the week and they were fantastic. The difference was huge, down to every detail.
This was in English and Spanish and very difficult to understand. The guide spoke fast and so continual it got hard to understand. Bus was comfortable and otherwise nice
Toledo is very worth coming, but half-day visit is a little bit short and hurried, I recommend whole day visit.
Tour guide was very good and knowledgeable. Great day. Well worth the trip to Toledo
Our guide was great. Very knowledgeable Great morning
The tour is bilingual the guid keeps shifting from Spanish to English so some times you are lost because it’s a half day he was very fast you don’t have enough time to take photos at the beginning but at the end he gives you a 30 min free time to shop. The city is up hill so be prepared for a lot of uphill walking and you have to keep track of the guid or you will lose your way. If you can’t walk fast take the full day trip so the guid have time to slow down
We did the full day Toledo tour with tapas. The speaker system on the bus was difficult to understand….a lot of static. Plus everything they say is said in Spanish and English. When we got off the bus, they give you an earpiece to listen to her talk. I had a very hard time understanding what she was saying and my husband actually took it out because he was not able to understand any of it. She talked fast, probably because she has to say everything in 2 languages and words were not clear. I honestly didn’t understand over half of what was said and when we got off the bus, someone came up to me and asked if I understood. When I said no, they said they thought it was just them. Toledo is beautiful but we missed a lot of the historical significance. The tapas lunch was good and we enjoyed that.
Very intetest and informative tour. Clara was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well in both Spanish and English.
