Toledo Day Trip With Cathedral From Madrid

The tour of Toledo with our guide, Antonio was excellent. He was punctual and explained the itinerary before starting each part of the tour. He did a great job of introducing this beautiful city to us and emphasizing its mix of medieval churches, mosques, and synagogues and how the different cultures coexisted peacefully. He passionately explained its history; from being conquered by the Romans, the Visigoths, the Arabs and finally becoming a kingdom of Castile. His explanations were fascinating. We toured the Cathedral which was beautiful, walked past the monastery and the Jewish Quarter and enjoyed the beautiful wandering streets and architecture from the Romans, Germans and Arabs. Antonio shared information about the sweets (marzipan) made by the nuns, the swords made locally and the movies made in the city. He provided recommendations for local cuisine. We took a short ride to the local winery (Finca Loranque), had a great tour with Lorenzo, the owner and sampled 3 great red wines. Separate comment to the great bus driver, Miguel. Great tour, I highly recommend it.

Toledo is a must-see city. Originally the capital of Spain until that title was moved to Madrid. The tour, and guide, Antonio, were great and we got to see many of the highlights with plenty of time on our own to explore, eat, and shop.

Our tour was formed by two groups. One that included the vineyard, the winery and wine tasting and our group that was the whole day at Toledo. Christina, our Tour Lady and Ricardo the Driver did a good job keeping us informed and on time and safe on the road. We really enjoy the time on our own at Toledo, but there is way too much to see. I think that the next time we will need a couple of days. My only regret is that we couldn't use our tickets for the guided Tour at the Toledo Cathedral because it was in conflict with the return time from the Tour. I will need to do a better time planning next time. That is on me.

Antonio and Diego were amazing tour guides, they were with us all morning from 7am to 8pm and had great energy the whole time. They had so much information about the history of each city and really made the experience so amazing because you wouldn't have known a lot of this information if you didn't have such expert tour guides. If you want to see all 3 of these cities in 1 day this is the perfect tour, I highly recommend it!

This is a beautiful place! Laura was our guide and was wonderful and knowledgeable. My family took the tour that includes the free time, but you can opt for all monuments. The locals were nice. This is a quaint place with charm.

The day trip was fantastic because the guide Antonio Martin was so full of knowledge and he shared his enthusiasm for Spanish history and culture. He was sensitive and respectful of individual needs and David the driver was excellent and punctual. I highly recommend this trip

We met our guide at the designated spot in Madrid. You could tell she was was experienced. She had a list of clients taking her tour and took roll. Then she explained our day. We went to the bus. She spoke great English and gave out great information about our tour. She explained and showed us the best of Toledo. I would definitely use her again.

German was an excellent tour guide. Our group was small and he was able to meet the need of each person throughout the tour. The sites of Toledo came alive with his knowledge and humor. We were very happy that he helped us navigate lunch so that my husband's food allergies were not an issue and we were both able to relax and enjoy. One thing that we would have liked is just a bit of time to explore larger cities, like the cathedral, on our own. Otherwise it was a delightful day

We met a group of 14 people including our family of 4 in Madrid. After a short walk to the bus, we were on our way. Laura gave us some history and some sites in Madrid on the road to Toledo. The ride was about 50 minutes. Entering Toledo, Laura gave us the history of the City from Celtic times to the height of Toledo to the present. We took some great pictures outside the city. We entered the city and visited the cathedral, the synagogue, and the monastery. Laura was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. She had a great recommendation to get local products. We went to the suggested shop and met the shopkeeper who worked there 37 years after his father had worked there 60 years. We bought a couple of pocket knives of Damascus steel. We also bought some handmade gold items at the store. Worth every penny and even better with the experience! We had free time as well to visit the many sites and get food. Our only regret is not having a longer tour. Laura was. Excellent in the old synagogue, monastery, and cathedral. She really had a background of the times and the importance of the history generated in Toledo. Our favorite was her description of Ysabel and Fernando's relationship. I don’t know who could have described it so clearly at the monastery. This was our favorite tour of our trip!

Good trip to Telado with lots of interesting sites and a great guide.

Toledo deserves a full day. I’m glad we found this amazing tour company. Our guide Laura was very knowledgeable and made our day fun and full of great information. We chose the option with paid tickets to the monuments and it was worth it. My family loved Toledo!!!

We did not get all entry tickets . we had to pay 12 euro to buy 3 entry tickets which supposed to be included package.

Enough time and direction to see everything I wanted to see. Laura was very friendly and knowledgeable. She individually chatted with everyone to ensure they were not disappointed, and was a great resource for general Spanish history and Toledo specifically. I highly recommend it.

Our tour with Antonio was packed full of historical knowledge of Toledo. He was extremely informative with a friendly personality.

I signed up for small group tour, but we ended up were grouped together with another wine group tour people. Even worse, we were left to tour by ourselves for a few places because the tour guide has to go with the wine group tour group. Why should I pay premium fee for the so called small group tour then?

Wonderful experience in Toledo. Got to see the main areas of the city along with the historical Christian, Jewish and Moorish monuments. Guide did an excellent job describing the history and significance of each place of interest.

Had a great walking tour of old town Toledo which took a total of 5 hours, 5 miles and 10,000 steps. Visited the main historical sites which included churches, synagogue and mosque (999AD). The tour was well organised and Laura gave an excellent overview with historical references of the various periods throughout the town's history. It would be nice to spend more time and stay a few days to explore the beautiful town. The tour provided a good one day experience.

This was a short and productive one-day trip to the city of Toledo. Laura our guide was excellent, was very well-informed on the history of the city, and gave the group great insights to the little gems within the city. The size of the tour was large enough for camaraderie, but also intimate enough for questions and self-exploration. For those with limited time, this is a good tour to take.

Toledo is beautiful and Majed is a knowledgeable guide. However, the transportation was delayed the morning of our departure and was less than ideal. There were two separate tour groups on our bus which added time in traveling and coordinating the day. It seemed inefficient and as a result the time spent Toledo was only 4 hours and we did not have sufficient time to explore on our own. I left with the impression that I paid more than I received in value for this trip.
