Toledo And Segovia Private Tour With Pick-up From Madrid

I never post reviews even if I had a bad experience so please read this before booking with this company. I am trying to help future customers not go through what I did. I booked this bus tour expecting an enjoyable and memorable trip, for my 1st wedding anniversary and my parents 40th but it turned out to be one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. From the beginning of the tour to the end- it was a disaster. Our tour guide was incredibly difficult to understand- as a tour guide on an English speaking tour- I feel that is very important. She had her mouth to the microphone and we could not hear her either. There were many tours that day with professionally dressed people and clearly marked signage. Our tour guide had an orange loofah attached to a selfie stick. Then it began to rain and she hid it with an umbrella making it impossible to find. We then lost her as my parents are 66 and 72 years old- I had downloaded the Amigo Tours app to locate the meeting point so we could catch the bus to the next city. The bus was not there and we arrived earlier than the planned meet up time. We stood there for an hour and a half and the bus never came. I had left my jacket on the bus anticipating we would be catching the next bus to Segovia. We missed the second part of the tour and had to purchase our own bus tickets via public transport to get back to Madrid as we were left stranded in Toledo ( an hour from Madrid) The next day, we called the company to request a refund, and that somehow managed to be even worse. The customer service representative was rude and dismissive, we asked to speak to her manager and she said, “she is not going to do anything for you either, you have to contact Viator. She refused to transfer us to her manager. We then told her that we were going to file a complaint with the police department as we are tourists and she said “feel free” with a sarcastic attitude. Never in my life have I experienced such rude and professional customer service. Since we were stranded in Toledo and my jacket was on the bus I emailed the company to try and get it back. They stated they had it, we submitted a complaint the next day, and then miraculously they no longer had it in their possession. As a witness to many other tours that were occurring that day – I would recommend anyone looking to tour towns in Spain to go with ANY other company. It was a waste of time and money. It was a miserable experience with poor communication and unprofessionalism.

Tour guides in both cities were professional & friendly. They accepted my remarks regarding historical events with a smile & good communication Only 1 point needs to be improved regarding good communication regarding accurate meeting point in Madrid prior to starting the tour

4 friends, my son and I had a wonderful private tour to Toledo and Segovia. Our tour guide Rocio made that happen! She shared many interesting historical details on the tour. She spoke perfect English, and very accommodating with our requests. The tour was about 11 hours. Highly recommend this tour.

Besides visiting Madrid, we also booked the trip to Toledo & Segovia. We enjoyed both beautiful historical towns and had an excellent guide Javier with a lot of information and humourous twist. Don't miss this trip !

Amazing experience with Enrique- our guide. He made the trip wonderful giving us ample information and handling our type of group considering the age group we were! Ensured we all are caught up and know about the beautiful history and also take amazing pictures for us. Overall one of the most wonderful experience we had in our trip! Kudos to him!

My husband and I had an amazing experience today. We loved the trip, which was extremely enjoyable with the guide of Javi L (the guy with a beard and blue eyes), his knowledge and enthusiasm made our day unforgettable

Rodrigo our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Toledo and Segovia. The tour was great although the timing (semana santa) and weather was terrible so we didn’t fully enjoy it. We wish there was more free time to go around, because we weren’t able to fully explore the place since we usually only had 30-50 minutes to go around with lunch.

Amigo Tours Spain cancelled our tour last-minute due to "logistic problem". This was to be our last day in Madrid and we could no longer book any other private tour to Toledo/Segovia. Unfortunately this was one of 2 bookings in Madrid that got cancelled last-minute. Be warned.

Arora was an awesome tour guide and knew all the best photography spots. This tour was a highlight of my trip.

The tour of Toledo and Segovia from start to finish was excellent. Our driver and tour guide were professional and knowledgeable. We were able to visit two historically important cities outside of Madrid in one day -- hitting all of the most significant attractions. The bus was clean and comfortable. This is a great way to see and learn about Spain in the span of 11 hours.

Our trip was amazing!!! Belen our tour guide was incredible and with an amazing and great knowledge of the history!!! And great carisma to be showing us everything with emotion and proudness of the history she was telling. We really enjoy the trip.

If you are staying in Madrid and have the time to do this. I highly recommend this tour. You’re escorted the whole way in a comfortable bus and guided around Toledo and Segovia. My only recommendation is to do a little more research about each place. The guides were knowledgeable but left a few pieces of info out that we’d read before hand. All in all though, I recommend!

Toledo and Segovia are beautiful places to visit. Our guide was great, comfy bus and well air conditioned. We had the choice of sticking with the guided tour or going our own way in the cities. The guided tours were great walked to most of the main attractions with 1 hour to yourself. Good choice of restaurants in Segovia. Long day but worth the trip. Highly recommend!

We got a cab to the pickup point Ventas Metro Station for a 0745 departure. Smooth check-in we boarded an air-conditioned bus with a great driver and very knowledgeable experienced tour guides, Paula, Josemi and Martin. One bus was English speaking guide and one Spanish. Toledo and Segovia are absolutely awesome places to visit made more special by the professional and knowledgeable staff from Amigo Tours. Special mention to our guide Paula who made us feel special and welcome. Try the suckling pig on the menu at Segovia...you won't be disappointed. Back at Madrid by 1845 ..a big day but such a special day...highly recommend

The bus was super clean and the AC was blasting cold air. The seats were comfortable and pretty much normal. The ride was comfortable. The day long schedule was very well managed. Left the departure location at 8am per schedule and retuned by 6:30. We got to visit two excellent and historical cities, Toledo and Segovia. Both are worth visiting if you have never been. Extremely picturesque and frankly of you have time spend one day at each so you get to spend more time on your interests. The mIn guide was very knowledgeable and spoke fluent English sharing excellent history and the right amount of details. Due to the large group he asked another guide to take on the portion of the travelers. He was also very pleasant and tried hard to ensure the guests all maintained their interests. But he needs more practice, have more historical facts and examples. Rehearse your key storylines in English so you can also come more effective guide. Overall, I highly recommend this tourbus team and hope to use them again in the near future.

Touring with Ahtasham Khan was such a fabulous day! Khan was so informative, knowing the history of each town so well that it brought what we were seeing into such sharp focus. In addition he was so kind, seeking to meet the needs of each tourist. Seeing Toledo and Segovia is a must see experience. Khan made the whole day a delight.

Very good tour, the guide Miguel is very attentive and keeps an eye on the whole group and has extensive knowledge of the places we visited.

In March 2025, I had the pleasure of taking a short but wonderful walk with my two young daughters, 12 and 10, to Toledo and Segovia. Although our time in each city was limited, our guides made every moment memorable. In Toledo, Ricardo was our guide, and his passion for the history and culture of the city was contagious. He was able to keep the interest of the whole group with his explanations full of enthusiasm, which allowed us to enjoy the rich cultural heritage of the city in a pleasant and fun way. In Segovia, Aranxa guided us with a fascinating tour, where he explained in depth the impressive aqueduct, the history of the city and the majestic Alcázar. Their knowledge and charisma made the experience even more special for both girls and us. Despite the short time, both guides managed to take unforgettable memories of these two beautiful cities. Without a doubt, an enriching experience that I recommend to all families who want to know Toledo and Segovia in a dynamic and fun way.

Gui Luiz (brunette with glasses) of friends tours left me behind, I got lost, I had to call getyourguide to know where the bus was to return... terrible guide, I do not recommend it.

Lousy attention. In the app the address was wrong and I sent them a screenshot to check. It was my last day in Madrid, we went with our grandson and they couldn’t wait a few minutes (which doesn’t seem so bad) but they didn’t want to reimburse me for the cost either. When I checked that the pickup address was wrong, they cut off communication and so far I don't give any more of them. LOUSY EXPERIENCE and zero recommended. Please do not fall into the trap of buying visits with them, I feel disappointed and very disappointed.

Very tidy and punctual the visit. Our Christian Guide was very Pro and very good. A sense of humor. Highly recommended!!!!

A quick walk but enough for a day in those 2 cities, the guide is a girl named Flor, very patient and professional, also very respectful and punctual.

The cities of Segovia and Toledo are unmissable. We were amazed especially by the Alcázar. A very good option to go on a tour, since you can learn about the history through the explanations given by the guides. Flor and Javi the best.

We visited very beautiful new places, and we were very well accompanied by the group and also Flor the guide, who explained everything to us very well and with enthusiasm.

Segovia and Toledo good, Avila 26€ per person to stay 30 minutes no time to climb the ramparts too tight

This tour is very well planned and super fun. If you come to Madrid and don't have much time, it is the best way to learn and educate yourself at the same time. We left just in time but apart from the ancient beauties we saw, it was all the information we received from our Guides. Cristian is an energetic, kind, friendly guide and knows very well the history involved in the tour. Javi L, a super friendly gentleman, entertaining and also very knowledgeable about history. They made the experience wonderful. The places are really impressive. The bus ride was very comfortable and I felt very safe. If there was something I would change to the itinerary it would be to maybe add an extra hour to do a little shopping. When you visit such beautiful places it is always nice to take a souvenir and this tour, as it is so complete, you have one of two, you either buy or get to know… Thank you with all my heart for this experience.

This tour is highly recommended, the passages and architecture are spectacular. Furthermore, the guides Cristian and Javi L are excellent, they explained every detail of each place to us, a view full of history.

I went on the Toledo and Segovia tour, the tour was good, the guides' explanation was good. The entrance to the museum was early so the time to see the destinations was very short and there was no time other than to eat and you could no longer see the destinations. I think they could extend the route a little so that you don't spend more time on the bus than at the destination or at least make it somewhat proportional since during the day we spent more time on the bus than at the destinations.

Javi L, alias el barbas ;) is an excellent guide. Very cultured and enjoys sharing interesting facts about the visit. It seems to me that the time in Alcázar de Segovia was short but other than that everything was fine.

Very good tour! The guide Javi L gave us a lot of information about the places and stopped at the sites long enough for us to look at the details, the architecture and the art history. Wonderful cities, I would definitely hire him again!
