If there were more than five stars available, our guide, Mitch, deserves them. He was PHENOMENAL! How he remembers minute details and provides backstory and history is unimaginable. We love history and culture and he could answer everything. It was a small group and I can’t imagine doing it any other way. If you arrange with Mich I would more than highly recommend. Our third trip to Europe together and visiting a lot of places and I would say Mich is the best tour guide we’ve had. Well prepared, intelligent, funny, great communicator and an eye for detail. The Royal Palace is not to be missed, it stood out even after several days of touring for its beauty and grandeur. Our guide, Jaime, was friendly, spoke great English, and was very informative. My husband is not usually much for tours but after this one, he said we should do more because Jaime’s presentation was so interesting.

Apologizes it's taken a while to write this. We've been traveling : ) We had two EXCELLENT private/small group tour while in Spain. One was the Alhambra and the other was the Royal Palace. The Royal Palace tour was with Beatrice. She's not the usual tour guide that ticks off the numbers. She's spent years (and continues to learn by volunteer at Spain's historic sites) learning about Spanish history, is passionate about it and love to share what she knows. Take lots of picture!

Great tour! Loved having a small group, it made asking questions so much easier. The Palace is amazing and our guide paced our tour very well giving us time to soak it all in and ask our questions all while expertly navigating us around the many large groups (of 25 or more people) also touring throughout the Palace.

David did a fine job of negotiating the rather crowded palace and was really good at providing historical context and pointing out easy-to-miss details.

Very impressive guide. Very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about the history of Spain, Madrid and the Spanish Royalty in two and a half hours of the tour.

Our tour in Madrid was phenomenal. We were just two people doing the tour with our knowledgeable guide Almudena LG. She brought each of us a head set so we could clearly hear her narration. She has studied the subject in college and worked in Madrid museums for years. Her knowledge of history and the Spanish monarchy was complete. She could answer 98% of our questions. It was a busy day at the palace with youth groups and crowds. She navigated us in each room to the best place to view the room and provided complete commentary on each room’s use, how things changed over time, and how the Spanish public engagement with their leaders works. Her span and scope of knowledge was impressive. It was time well spent. We would definitely book her again!

This tour is very comprehensive and covers everything in great detail. Our guide David was excellent. He’s been a local guide for 15 years, speaks English. Dry well and is extremely knowledgeable. He married the history of Spain and its royalty with the physical details of the castle. I would highly recommend this tour.

Semi private tour with 4 people. Ana met us at designated meeting place and gave a great summary of what we were going to see. Explanations by Ana throughout the tour were very detailed and interesting. The two and a half hours flew by and the additional cost of being with a small group was well worth it.

Our tour was amazing. Worth every penny! I wasn’t sure if a guided tour made sense over a cheaper self guided Audio tour but so glad we went with a guided tour. Couldn’t have left more satisfied.
